Shailputri is considered the first manifestation of Goddess Durga in the Navadurga tradition. She is believed to be the incarnation of Goddess Parvati and symbolizes the divine feminine energy. Shailputri is worshipped on the first day of Navaratri, a nine-night festival dedicated to the goddess. Devotees perform rituals and prayers to seek her blessings for courage and stability in life.💐💐

She is Devi of the root chakra, who, upon awakening, begins her journey upwards. Sitting on a bull and making her first journey from the Muladhara chakra. As from her father to her husband – the awakening Shakti, beginning her search for Shiva or making a move towards her Shiva. So that , in Navratri pooja the first day Yogis keep their minds concentrated on Muladhara.

On Hinduism 🕉️

So for the past 2.5-3 years I’ve been studying Hinduism and incorporating aspects of Hindu Spirituality into my personal practice.

This has been an amazing journey for me, and as a child who was raised Catholic but had many Hindu friends - this fulfills part of my inner child.

I always wanted to go to the Hindu and Sikh festivals my friends went to, always wanted to learn more about their gods, and always wanted to better understand the Mandir’s they had in their homes. But I wasn’t allowed to, and so I was left wanting almost all of my childhood.

In 2021 I made a friend at my first post-college job who has a multitude of vibrant intersecting identities. She is Indo-Caribbean, and a trans woman, and a practicing witch, and a model, and an activist, and so so much more - but she is also Hindu.

Her gentle hands helped to guide me into this path that is now a piece of who I am spiritually, and I can’t express my gratitude in her accepting me into her faith and spirituality.

I’ve now celebrated Diwali and Navratri, as well as held many personal Puja’s in my home. I’ve been to a few different Mandir’s in my area - but found that I prefer a solitary practice (and felt very uncomfortable in those spaces, due to my trauma with organized religion).

I’m not sure that I’d call myself Hindu, it feels like my practice is too mixed with other influences to claim that label, but I would like to think that I am spiritual aligned with many aspects of Hinduism.

I’m in the early stages of developing a relationship and devotional practice to Sarasvati and Shailputri, and I’m *so* excited to be starting this new journey.

ज्योतिष शास्त्र के अनुसार, दशहरे के दिन ग्रहों की स्थिति में विशेष परिवर्तन होते हैं, जो व्यक्ति के जीवन में सकारात्मक ऊर्जा लाते हैं। यदि किसी व्यक्ति की कुंडली में बुरे ग्रहों का प्रभाव हो, तो इस दिन की पूजा से उसे शुभ फल प्राप्त होते हैं। खासकर जिनकी जन्मकुंडली में शनि, राहु और केतु का दोष होता है, उन्हें इस दिन माँ दुर्गा की पूजा करने से विशेष लाभ मिलता है।

इस दिन माँ दुर्गा के नौ रूपों की पूजा का विशेष महत्व है। इन नौ रूपों को समझना और उनकी पूजा करना जीवन के विभिन्न क्षेत्रों में संतुलन और सफलता लाने में सहायक होता है।

माँ दुर्गा के नौ रूप और ज्योतिषीय प्रभाव:

शैलपुत्री

माँ दुर्गा का पहला रूप है शैलपुत्री, जो पर्वतों की पुत्री हैं। इनकी पूजा से जीवन में स्थिरता और धैर्य प्राप्त होता है। यदि किसी की कुंडली में चंद्रमा कमजोर हो, तो इस देवी की आराधना से चंद्रमा की दशा सुधरती है और मानसिक शांति मिलती है।

ब्रह्मचारिणी

यह देवी तपस्या का प्रतीक हैं। इनकी पूजा से व्यक्ति को अपने कार्यों में संयम और ध्यान केंद्रित करने की शक्ति मिलती है। इस देवी की पूजा से मंगल ग्रह का प्रभाव सुधरता है, जिससे साहस और शक्ति प्राप्त होती है।

चंद्रघंटा

माँ चंद्रघंटा देवी शक्ति और साहस का प्रतीक हैं। इनकी पूजा से जीवन में सकारात्मकता और आत्मविश्वास आता है। यदि आपकी कुंडली में मंगल या राहु का दोष हो, तो इस देवी की आराधना से ये दोष दूर होते हैं।

कूष्मांडा

माँ कूष्मांडा की पूजा से सुख-समृद्धि और स्वास्थ्य में सुधार होता है। यदि किसी की कुंडली में सूर्य या बुध ग्रह कमजोर हो, तो इस देवी की पूजा करने से लाभ मिलता है।

स्कंदमाता

माँ स्कंदमाता की पूजा से बच्चों के स्वास्थ्य और उनकी शिक्षा में सुधार होता है। यह देवी बुध ग्रह की अशुभ दशाओं को समाप्त करती हैं और बच्चों के लिए ज्ञान और बुद्धि का आशीर्वाद लाती हैं।

कात्यायनी

माँ कात्यायनी की पूजा विवाह और प्रेम संबंधों में सफलता लाने के लिए की जाती है। यदि आपकी कुंडली में शुक्र ग्रह कमजोर हो, तो इस देवी की पूजा से प्रेम संबंधों में सुधार होता है और विवाह के योग बनते हैं।और आप ज्योतिष की सहायता से कुंडली के अनुसार यह भी जान सकेंगे कि आपकी शादी कब होगी / When will I get married |

कालरात्रि

माँ कालरात्रि का रूप विनाशकारी और बुरी शक्तियों को नष्ट करने वाला है। इनकी पूजा से शत्रुओं का नाश होता है और जीवन में आने वाली बाधाएँ समाप्त होती हैं। यदि आपकी कुंडली में शनि या राहु का दोष हो, तो इस देवी की पूजा विशेष रूप से लाभकारी होती है।

महागौरी

माँ महागौरी की पूजा से जीवन में शांति और संतोष प्राप्त होता है। यह देवी शुक्र और चंद्रमा के प्रभाव को संतुलित करती हैं और आर्थिक स्थिति को मजबूत करती हैं।

सिद्धिदात्री

माँ सिद्धिदात्री सभी प्रकार की सिद्धियों की दात्री मानी जाती हैं। इनकी पूजा से जीवन के हर क्षेत्र में सफलता और सिद्धि प्राप्त होती है। यह देवी राहु और केतु के दोषों को समाप्त करती हैं और आध्यात्मिक उन्नति का मार्ग प्रशस्त करती हैं।
