So in my boredom I could've been building more Lore for my current au, or even atleast thinking of Redesign ideas for Fire Spirit, but did I do either of those things? Not at all, infact I made another au where a what if the beasts and ancients swapped, in this the Ancients corrupted soul jams are the opposite of the beasts original virtues. Anyways here their new names and info I guess about them.
Pure Vanilla and the Light Of Truth became Immoral Saint Vanilla or just Immoral Vanilla and Force of Ignorance. He literally just doesn't do anything to help cookies anymore or just chooses to be unaware, and usually is laughing as he watches his friends torture innocents. He's a 'great' guy though.
Dark Cacao and the Light Of Resolution became Berserker of the North or The North Berserker and Force of Prohibition/Restraint I cant decide which one sounds better. He is probably the one that tortures the innocents the most, and he relishes in it, usually killing them slow and painfully.
Hollyberry and the Light Of Passion became Toxic Yewberry and Force of Misery. She's often called insane by cookies, she does end up 'befriending' Pitaya Dragon but instead of them becoming nicer and more tolerant to cookies, together they cause misery to not only her Kingdom, but also any cookies that try to stand in her way. She has no clue what to do about her son, daughter-in-law, and grandkids though, currently she keeps them alive just to have them watch the misery she causes.
Golden Cheese and the Light Of Abundance become Dreadful cheese and the Force of Constance. Her Kingdom is set in the old times just like the others rather than having technology and that stuff, she also tends to keep everything the same, and if one of her residents die, thats the only time she'd allow change to happen but she's certainly annoyed by it. Like Pure Vanilla she doesn't do anything but dare someone question her role, they don't die but are instead thrown into a dungeon, unless of course the person questioning her is one of her very important staff members then they just get turned into a golden statue where they remain for who knows how long, usually until Dreadful Gold needs them specifically for something.
White Lily and the Light Of Freedom become Wilted Faerie and Force of Dissension. She refuses to see any of her 'friends' If she even dare call them that, and instead stays in the Faerie Kingdom where the remaining faeries that haven't died from questioning her abide every word she says, which usually means no having conversations with the other faeries unless it's needed for one of their assigned jobs, if they talk about anything else she would usually cause flowers to bloom in their mouths muting them entirely only able to be removed if they are plucked out, but the flowers don't let anyone besides her touch them, so if they are plucked out its if she wants them to and only if she wants them to. Yes they can breath and eat with the flowers, as it's only in their mouths and there's gaps within the flowers that allows them too, Wilted Faerie hates seeing bodies of cookies in her kingdom as it ruins the appeal of the Silver kingdom, so she is extremely strategic with the punishments of the faeries, if too many bloom causing restriction of airflow or being able to eat she'll pluck some out. Side note: I got a bit disturbed writing this but I think it makes sense with her in-game powers.
Yes the Corrupted ancients get sealed in the silver tree just like the beasts did, and also the ancients lived in beast-yeast just like the beasts did, the beasts or now called Divine Saviors live in Crispia. Wilted Faerie is now being kept in imprisonment by her citizens and probably can still see or atleast hear when Elder Faerie gets named the title of king now.
Now onto the beasts who are called the Divine Saviors. Side note: I came up with the other beasts Pre Corruption names today which is why I didn't use them in my last post with pre corruption beasts. But Shadowmilks I made a post of earlier, anyways let's get started on them.
Shadow Milk and the Power Of Deceit went back to being Myrtille Milk and the Virtue Of Knowledge. He lives where the Dark Cacao Kingdom is in the game, He's generally a great leader, sometimes has his nose in books to much but generally he's a great guy. On occasion he does put on shows for the youth of the Berrymilk kingdom. side note: I was almost tempted to name it the berries and cream Kingdom, or the Milky Kingdom. Anyways he's pretty great, and quite protective of his friends. meaning the crap Clotted Cream pulled on the ancients in game ain't going to go well if he pulls that crap with the Divine Saviors as they all are extremely protective of eachother. Yes he fought the two dragons and also the prowler, well he more of tamed the prowler.
Burning Spice and the Power Of Destruction went back to being Calming Spice and the Virtue Of Change, He lives where Golden Cheese used to, and like in GCs kingdom in game it has technology the other kingdoms don't have yet. He's a very relaxed ruler, his name is literally Calming Spice what would you expect. Again he's protective of his friends and would lose his cool if Clotted Cream pulled the crap he did in Cookie Odyssey. The Golden Kingdom is called The Kingdom Of Spice in this AU
Eternal Sugar and the Power Of Sloth go back to being Ethereal Sugar and the Virtue Of Happiness. Her Kingdom is where Hollyberrys is in game but now it's called The Ethereal Kingdom of Paradise(long names for the kingdoms is common in this AU) She's an amazing leader and almost everyday will visit the orphanages I'm her kingdom and sing the orphans lullabies while she flies just slightly above the ground with them in her arms, side note: the orphanages are pretty great in her kingdom and take amazing care of the orphans. The same as the others she protective of her friends and would be the one to probably throw herself at Clotted Cream just like Dark Cacao.
Mystic Flour and the Power Of Apathy went back to being Serene Flour and the Virtue Of Volition. She'd be in the same place as Hollyberry in Cookie Odyssey, meaning she holds Ethereal Sugar back from attacking Clotted cream, although she feels the same way she just doesn't want violence. Her Kingdom is where the Vanilla Kingdom is, its called The Kingdom of Flowing Flour. She is notorious for healing in her kingdom and is known to be an extremely doting queen.
Silent Salt and the Power Of Silence went back to being Noble Salt and the Virtue Of Solidarity. He lives nowhere in particular, he usually travels around a lot, but usually stays around where Blueberry Yogurt Academy is in game, it isn't named anything different because in this AU it was created after Myrtille Milk became king, and MM actually Created it with Blueberry Yogurt for the future Healers/Magic users Noble Salt also occasionally lives with MM usually only during Winter until spring comes along and he can continue exploring.
Other honorable mentions for this AU: 1st of all, since Creme Republic isn't necessarily tied to any Kingdom it and the residents of it stayed the same hence why Clotted Cream is still an annoying cookie. 2ndly, so far I haven't yet made the decision if Noble Salt becomes whatever this AUs Dark Enchantress will be called, so currently every things very sunshine and rainbows. 3rd of all, Parfaedia is a college in this au, and BYA is like an Elementary/Middle school, maybe even High School(don't ask how Cream Puff is in Parfaedia then in this au, I haven't thought about that much). And lastly(for now) Burning Spice x Shadowmilk and Eternal Sugar x Mystic Flour are generally Canon in this AU so are Golden cheese x Hollyberry and Pure Vanilla x Dark Cacao, White Lily is a grumpy women that hates literally everyone so she aint going to be in a relationship in this Au, and Silent Salt is too busy exploring to feel the loneliness of not having a partner plus hes got friends that are in relationships and hes perfectly happy with being their third wheels on occasion, but I probably won't mention the relationships much because this AU is still very much a rough draft or whatever you want to call it. Anyways I'll probably work on the other AU or Fire Spirits redesign later.

3, 5 and 9 for both your OCs!
YAYYYYY thank you :]
3- What is your OC's fatal flaw? Are they aware of this flaw?
strangeways' is probably thinking that the correct solution to a situation she doesnt like is to just. do nothing about it and believe it will either go away, or be fine, or blow up in such a way that it all gets dealt with really quickly. avoidance? like if she has a big argument with someone she'll just avoid them for as long as possible. having an Alien Problem? her first instinct is that its probably not thatttttt bad right? surely this will be fine and there's no need to do anything tooooo drastic to try to fix it right?? it will all sort itself out???????? i think she is aware of it but possibly not the magnitude of how That Is Actually Not Ideal - when she realised she ages slower she more or less never saw her family again - she'd rather send them the occasional letter than have to see them age & explain why she isnt. like she'd rather not see her sisters or parents again (she wasnt super close with them but yknow, its her family) than have to explain any of what happened to her. but this is combined with being really bad at letting things go so she'll be doing nothing to change a situation while also being devoured by thinking about it. like a fear of change sort of thing
for mihangel..... in a sort of inverse of strangeways, mihangel sort of thinks that nothing too bad will ever happen to him - like yeah he died but that wasnt too bad was it? like he came back its literally fine. he can do xyz kind of dangerous thing because she'll probably be fine right? yeah she was distraught for months before he met strangeways because the doctor had left him back on earth without barely explaining anything but like she's mostly over that now so like its totally okay. this is a normal way to think about things 👍 like she doesnt believe she's indestructable or anything but has the potential to become very reckless, or impulsive, because she's either a) lived through worse & has convinced herself it wasnt that bad or b) just doesnt think anything could possibly go wrong. like she knows that dangers of, say, going swimming alone in the middle of the night in the middle of nowhere in a whim, but just does it anyways cos he doesnt think anything bad will happen to Her. does this make sense
5- How far is your OC willing to go to get what they want?
ooh this is a good question because i uh. am not super sure what either of their base character motivations are lol
i think strangeways and mihangel both are likely to end up in a situation where they're both so in deep with a situation that they Cant just stop whatever it is & go back to their normal lives. b/c strangeways doenst know when / if she'll die she'd probably let herself get, ah, a wee bit closer to finding out than most people if its in pursuit of something she wants - though i think mostly she wants to feel normal again. the time vortex changed stuff within her & she doenst know what & has been living with it for so long thats she's not sure what she was like before, who she could have grown up to be. she'd think well, if i'm going to die then at least i know that i can & i'm doomed to be immortal, and if i dont die then i'll find out later. she's about 75ish but still looks in the mid/early twenties range so she think shes lived a normal lifespan and wouldnt... mind? if she doesnt live for far longer even though she technically could. damn thats dark uhm sorry. she does want those extra decades for her hobbies though :)
mihangel i think would be driven to one (1) act of violence and then be so horrifically guilty about it for the rest of her life, like anxiety-spiral guilt over one thing, that she's do anything & everything to never do it again. he would think of it like that too
9- Do you have a specific lyric or quote which you associate with your OC?
not at the moment no :( i havent made playlists for them or anything though i might in the future. strangeways esp. listens to english trad folk & like nico, and mihangel to post punk & goth of a specifically 80s variety and im sure theres lots of stuff in there thats very Them but i dont have anything at the moment. however while writing this i did think of that bob dylan quote about joan baez 'she looked like a religious icon, like someone you would sacrifice yourself for' both of them have defintely had that thought at somepoint about someone

honestly, bianca's life would've been horrible if she actually survived her quest, or hadn't gone on it at all.
her watching nico grow whenever they meet. him being taller and older, eventually getting wrinkles, grey hair, and suddenly– he's just gone. she knows he's dead, being a daughter of hades, and the moment she feels it she knows exactly what happened. and gods, does it hurt to realize her brother is gone.
it hurts so bad, everything keeps dying near her. plants keep wilting, animals keep running, and frost grows on the grass at her feet. her brother is dead, and she's stayed the same for decades. he's gone and lived his life, and she's been stuck in the same shtick for years.
and shit– she's missed nico's whole life. his birthdays, his crushes, his friends– how long has it been since they'd properly celebrated? how long had passed since she watched nico blow out candles on his cake, gush over a boy, rant about mythomagic? did he still like the game when he had become an adult?
and their friends. percy, annabeth, grover– they're long gone, too. all that remains of them are their legacies, their adult children, their young grandchildren. none of the campers at chb were recognizable anymore. how much had she missed?
why did she miss everything? to be a hunter of artemis? to join a girl group before she had gone through puberty? to feel like she finally fit in somewhere, after years of her childhood being an outcast?
her childhood was gone, too. she never was able to enjoy it. would she had rather experienced it than be a hunter? was it better to be coerced into a band of misfit nymphs and girls because she just wanted something– and gods, the one thing that gave her what she wanted made her leave her brother behind. alone, at a camp that hated him for years until he'd been accepted.
the novelty of joining the hunters had wore off a long time ago. but she couldn't leave now, especially not to die. it would be cowardice, lame, wimpy. what else would she do in her life anyway? she dedicated her whole life to this and for what? losing the life she could've had with her brother? watching the people she loved die before her very eyes? feeling more alone in the end than ever before?
and gods forbid she die soon. she's an excellent hunter, having put all her time into being one. she's never lost once. but to die means to see nico, to see her friends, to see her mom– it's the only thing she wants.
but she isn't a coward. she won't stand still in battle, waiting for a stray arrow to hit her and bleed out on the forest floor. she'd fight to die– as recklessly as possible.
gods, she knows how happy she'll be when she dies. she'll be the happiest she's ever been, dying with the biggest grin on her face. choosing to spend the rest of eternity in elysium, asphodel, wherever she goes– she's going to spend the rest of eternity with her brother. her mother. her friends. she'll spend it with the family she'd barely known in her years alive with them, instead of girls she never truly wanted to know in the first place.
but for now, the rest of her years, she'll mourn her brother. life rots around her still, if only a little less. all that's keeping her alive is the idea of her brother, and dying to see him.

I just had a morbid thought. But, what if Galois die? Either by an anti-mutant Yokai group, in a kidnapping attempt by the mercenaries or by members of the resistance? How would the characters react?
Well, that would be an incredibly unfulfilling end to the story, for one. And don't get me wrong, character deaths that are by design unsatisfying absolutely have their place, (Finnick's death in Mockingjay comes to mind) but I feel like it would be more frustrating here than make a point.
Honestly, I could see it going either way for Draxum. He could either give up right then and there and die with him, or he could go total Rhaenyra after Luke's death. Total liquidation on his enemies, and no mercy for his allies who object. Once that was over, though, he wouldn't really have any direction and would eventually end up destroying himself. He means it when he says he can't lose Galois. He could handle losing anyone else, everyone else. Even Cass, he'd totally go Angry Murder Dad for her as well, but it wouldn't destroy him like losing Galois would. (it might have been different if he was lying to himself about Cass's origins as well, but he still lies to himself and says she isn't his daughter)
If Cass is still alive and Galois is dead, then the world would end. Instantaneously. She'd explode like the birth of a star.
It would also kill Splinter. Not right away, he'd live long enough to get revenge on Draxum and everyone who contributed to his son's death, but he'd end himself not long after. He wasn't lying when he said he couldn't lose another kid. That also applies to losing the same kid twice. Losing Donnie the first time almost killed him as it was.
(Leo ramble under the cut because I went way off the rails-but fuck it I wrote the end scene of the next chapter in one sitting today I am allowed to go a little insane)
I'm hesitant to go all 'two halves of the same whole, twins can't live without each other' because we literally have proof that Leo can live without Donnie. We don't know how long Donnie's been dead by the point the movie starts-Leo having his bandana wrapped around his sword implies that it wasn't very recent, while Casey's familiarity with Donnie and the fact that his gear is certified GeniusBuilt shows that his death must have happened when Casey was old enough to remember him, or even after Casey started training and Donnie built weapons to suit his fighting style. So Leo's probably been without Donnie for at least a couple of years at that point. And he is still kicking ass and serving cunt, in his very homosexual way-though he does kind of have a whole-ass kid to raise and the resistance to live for, which he doesn't have in doth. And even in the movie, Future Leo throws himself into a Krang incineration beam rather than return to the past with Casey and live without the family he's lost. And there's the whole deal with Leo sacrificing himself so there's no chance whatsoever of living to see his brothers die.
I just don't see Leo being able to move on from something like that. Knowing his brother died pointlessly, maybe even painfully, never remembering who he was. There would be no closure, no point to start moving on. I talked about this with another fic author, the whole thing about fulfilling vs. unfulfilling deaths in media, and I think Future Donnie's death is as good as any to talk about that.
Like, let's talk about Replica's Donnie. He died epicly. In the midst of battle, sacrificing himself to plant a spy probe, and even got in some snappy comments to Prime (and maybe killing him too? I'd have to reread) before ending his own life. From his family's perspective, yes, it felt pointless and awful and they would much rather Donnie back than whatever bullshit he sacrificed himself for. And it's tragic for the audience, but it still feels satisfying. Donnie went out on his own terms, for a cause, in a literal blaze of glory. We see his family mourn, but we also see Leo receive some measure of closure from Omega telling him how proud Donnie always was of him. And crying right after-but as he tells Casey a frame later, he felt just a little better.
Or a more subtle example in Cass's series. Donnie's (temporary) death is none of that. He dies weakened to the point where he can't even stand up on his own, he dies quietly and he dies slowly. It was heartbreaking-like, bitch, I cried, but I don't think a single person would call it unsatisfying. Even with his quiet, demure death, so undeserving of him and his awesomeness, there was still a sense of satisfaction in the fact that he was such a threat that the Krang had to resort to such tactics to kill him. (and that he stuck it to them one final time, outliving their expectations and coming back to fuck them up when they thought they were safe, he had to be dead) And in the end, he's accepted his death, he tied up all his loose ends and feels ready to go. He dies peacefully, spending his final moments feeling his brothers' love for him. His brothers get to hold him and say goodbye. Yes, they're in mourning, but they show hints of healing and moving on-until Mikey finds out that Donnie's spirit isn't with their ancestors. That pulls the wound right back open, and Leo doesn't really seem to move on from there.
Having Donnie die as Galois I think would be a lot like that for Leo. Raph, Mikey, and even April would find ways to move on-after getting their revenge, of course, but they would use Donnie's memory to drive them forward. "Plant this tree because Donnie would have liked that." "Buy only produce from sustainable farming practices for my restaurant because Donnie would have approved." "Get that degree because Donnie would have kicked my ass if I didn't."
I don't think Leo would be able to do that. I think he'd feel very lost, with a lot of rage and sorrow and no real direction for any of it, no drive to find an outlet and get his life back on track. Maybe he wouldn't outright shoot himself, but he'd stop caring about keeping himself alive.

3, 6, and 11 for the ask thing
3. Which character do you wish we knew more about?
In a weird way (considering how much fanfic exists on the guy), Bertolt. Like he's one third of the titan trio, but I feel like we don't know anywhere near enough about him in comparison to the other two. Even his motivation about joining the Warriors (wanting to provide for his sick father) seems to have been used as Pieck's backstory. I just wish he had a little more on him.
6. Most heart-wrenching death?
Hands down Hange! They were such a strong parental figure for the group, it really got me when it was their time to go. Them admiring the titans up until their last moment, the rest of the crew watching on, their goodbye with levi, I just can't 😭 😭
11. Favorite minor character?
I think Annie counts as a minor character, but it feels like cheating to answer with her lmao. Everyone knows I love her, she's my goddamn icon. So I'll go with Ymir, my other titan girlie 🥰
Something about her crude way of phrasing things, even when she means to be supportive is just so appealing to me. Much like other characters, she pretends she doesn't care, that she isn't invested, but at the end of the day it's very obvious she does!
I think Isayama explores her character very well through her actions rather than her words. For example, she gives this entire speech to Krista/Historia about living long and embracing her truth, and then she proceeds to willingly go die in Marley! The way I interpret this is that she felt like she was living on borrowed time herself, the second chance she was given was at the expense of Marcel. She, like Krista, feels guilty for her existence. Sure, she tries to make the best of it, but the minute she's discovered, the shame of taking Marcel's life overwhelms her and she chooses to sacrifice herself.
(Do I agree with this decision? No. Do I wish she'd chosen otherwise? Yes. Do I like the implications of a wlw character feeling guilty for existing? No. Does it resonate with me nonetheless? Yes.)
Anyway, also, she's hot XD

Modern AU Idea: Obito and Rin growing up as childhood friends, getting split up before entering their teenage years and then meeting again as young adults
This was an idea I had in mind for a long time! :) Love it!
~~
-Obito and Rin would grow up together because they're neighbors and they go to the same school together. Their parents are on rather good terms, mainly because their kids enjoy spending time together. Rin's mother and Obito's other would totally tease the two of them and would be like, "I can't wait to see my grandkids!" xD
-One day, Obito's parents would die in a car accident, and Obito would end up needing to move to another place in which he would live with his grandmother up in the countryside and attend a school there. That's when he and Rin would split up. They then made a promise to one another that they would never forget each other. Rin gives Obito one of her favorite seashells for him to remember her by, and Obito would give Rin his favorite orange goggles (kids love the weirdest things so let's just go with the goggles in this AU xD)
-They'd try to keep in touch by writing letters.. but that slowly starts to die down because of how busy things have become for either of them. Obito's grandmother was becoming ill, and he had to take care of her. Rin was trying to get good grades by attending extra classes and cram school so that she can apply to med school. Obito's grandmother then passes away, and he has to fend for himself. Madara takes him in, trying to make him learn the ways of running a company, but Obito has ambitions of his own - his goal was to become a detective and to make a name of himself in the city.
-Obito attends the police academy and climbs up the ranks, and eventually around his early 20s he becomes a top detective who is very efficient in solving cases. One day though, while chasing a criminal, he gets shot and is rushed to the hospital. There, he meets the one person whom he could never forget: Rin.
-Rin, who recognizes that her childhood best friend is injured, immediately gets on his case and does whatever she can with her team to treat him. She'd never leave his side while he's recovering, and time seemed to always slow down whenever they're around one another... and she'd sit by his bedside, and they'd talk and ask one another how they've been and what they were up to, etc.
-When Obito is finally discharged, he doesn't hesitate to take her phone number, given that now he lives in the city where she is, and he tells her that he wants to see her more often, and Rin happily exchanges numbers with him.
-They text nearly every day, and one phone call lasts hours upon hours. He would drive up to her place and take her for a ride.. and they would do a bunch of the stuff that they did when they were little - like buy a lot of candies and lollipops from the convenience store, and sit by the swings in the park, feed ducks at the lake, ride with Obito on his motorcycle (a tie-in to Obito teaching her how to ride a bike when they were little).. and all those moments would just make Obito fall for her even harder, while Rin's feelings for him starts to grow deeper, beyond the friendship that they share.
-After a long time, where they share many moments together - happy and vulnerable ones, all the while getting closer and closer, Obito decides that he doesn't want to hold back his feelings anymore, and takes Rin to her favorite beach, where they would at first walk on the shore, and Obito would watch the wind tickle Rin's long hair, staring at her as she closes her eyes and just feels the sea breeze against her skin, and the water lapping at her feet. They'd hang out a little, and then Rin decides to tease him by picking some water in her hand and throwing it at Obito, before she starts to playfully run away. He'd chase her, and because he's taller than her, he easily catches her, where he grabs her hand, pulls her to him, wraps his arm around her waist, and cups her cheek as he presses his lips against hers. He kisses her passionately, pouring his feelings into his kiss, before he slowly pulls away to look at her in the eyes.
-Rin is still registering what happened, and Obito confesses that he's in love with her, and has been in love with her for a long time. As he anticipates her answer, Rin boldly wraps her arms around his neck and kisses him with fervor, and that's how they would end up getting together. :3

"These will be more personal questions, and possibly upsetting."
"Oh-kay?"
"When you die, are you frightened?"
"... No. Haven't had a good reason to be. There's places where I would be, but I haven't been."
"Is it painful?"
"Sometimes. I'm pretty good about dying fast, so not often. Surviving to flee hurts, though. Poor Sunny'll about cry if I do it too much, pretty sure she'd rather repair a corpse than heal a bullet wound that didn't kill me. Don't really blame her, they get pretty ugly. Crucible was hard on both of us for a while, but I'm pretty good at running before my shields break, these days."
"Is there a preferred or most hated death?"
"Ummm. If I've just really gotta die -- I don't like it. Even if it's not painful or scary, it's inconvenient-- but if I've really gotta pick the best and worst, it's Drop Pods and getting sniped by psions."
"You flatter us. Why?"
~
"Drop Pods are so fast they feel more like teleporting than dying. Psion snipers-- there's a few others that do this, but the psions came to mind because of you, I guess-- but so, the ones with the right firepower, I guess they're LFRs , they open whatever they shoot on the first hit. Sometimes it'll take them two, but they bust shield and plate and hit flesh before I can even register I've been shot, too busy reeling and confused, much less can I tell where it came from. Opens my helmet, ruins my visual feed, fucks with my hearing; clears armor off a chunk, at the very least a deep bruise; cripples or takes off a limb. They never kill me outright, though, so it's only going to damage and hurt. A lot. If I move fast enough, can get my barricade up-- and I have to start that as soon as I hear the charge up, I can't wait 'til I've been hit--and they're gonna hit me while I'm doing it-- I can save my ass and Sunny can heal me up before I try to run. Odds are decent that they'll pop me again before I can escape or chase me out of cover and into their allies. Prefer they get me than allies."
"How visceral."
"What's that mean?"
"It means the way you're talking about it makes it easy to imagine."
"Oh. So, yeah, I hate those things. They take juuuuuust long enough to kill me to be particularly memorable, and they're some of the hardest to escape and kill back with any kind of plain reaction-- gotta aim, they usually have friends a lot closer, and just... Yeah."
"Are you ever frightened on the battlefield?"
"... Of what? Consequences of loss, sometimes? Stakes aren't always high, but they get that way."
"Does dying frequently affect your mood?"
"... I get pretty angry after a minute. I'm usually trying to get something done, some loot or clearing somewhere important to Vanguard or civilians, and having to start over or start and stop, any time I can't get a job done when I wanted to, I get. Uh. Mean. And angry."
"It's okay. By the time she's lashing out at me, she's throwing herself into death head first over and over and I can just listen to her scream without having to hit back."
"Oh-ho!"
"Did you just make her laugh?"
"Shh."
"Hmph! Are you concerned for the lives and physical well-being of your Guardian friends?"
"Yeah to an extent. Rise hates being shot. And she's better at helping me up than I am at helping her up, so it's better for her to live than me. It's generally best to keep as many alive and healthy as possible just for the backup."
"What would you say was the worst death you can recall?"
"Woof...."
"I think that one--"
"I'm fine. It bothers Sunny more than me, because of when it happened but I was weak and reloading and a pair of Taken Knights rushed me, screaming fire all over. My shields were hardly up in the first place so it sank in quick and took way too long to kill me. And my own fire made it worse, trying to save me."
"I take it this is the advent featuring the shell with whiskers?"
"Yep. Sank deep. Hurt. Worth it! It's perfect and there's at least ten shaders that fit her look and even more that just look good. You've seen the bouncing and bobbing, we should have named her Bunny. Only thing she really asked me for, and I got it."
"Hmph. Is this pride common in Guardians?"
"I dunno? Probably?"
"Do you feel fear at all?"
"Yeah, but I'm not sure why, half the time? And I have a phobia that you will hear nothing more about."
"I already snitched. She defended you."
"I'm still not talking about it."
"Truly?"
"I-- no. Nope. Nope, don't wanna, even if I could, and I can't 'cos my mouth is doing a thing."
"Ha!"
"I know, right? What's it gonna do, kill me?"
"The methane would have."
"True. But nope. Just can't and don't wanna. How about you?"
"..."
"Sorry. Nerves."
"Forgiven. Do I frighten you?"
"Uh... I think the word is intimidating? Imposing? You being in a room makes me want to be smaller."
"I will accept this. Do you fear pain?"
"I mean... Yeah? Certain kinds and levels, I guess, getting shot hurts a lot, but I hardly think about that anymore? It's... No. I don't. I should and I don't. I didn't wanna tell you that but Sunny just 'matted out of my pocket to drive her little eyeball into my visual, and I'm pretty sure that shell is strong enough to beat some dents in."
"Your Ghost intimidates you?"
"I have to live with her. Whole other kind of damage, trauma, and fear."
"She says as though she's not the one that lashes out inappropriately."
"You knock stuff over when you're grumpy, and push stuff off the fridge."
"Freija!"
"You snitched on my thing!"
"Sunny has a temper?"
"Caiatl!"
"I'm not gonna tell you it's worse than mine, but when I piss her off, she punishes me by talking over my head, refusing to help in combat. When we're all but in love, she'll put a requested gun in my hands, but when she's mad at me, she'll put it on the ground nearby. Steps away nearby."
"Can't believe this..."
"Gives me the silent treatment and vague visual cues. The first one that goes is coordinates-- she makes me punch in my own autopilot settings and coordinates. First clue, a thing she does when she's upset and my first chance to apologize, she has a nook on the fridge she runs to. I don't blame her, I am an absolute ass sometimes."
"sometimes!"
"Do Ghosts often "punish" their Guardians?"
"Rex is fuckin' mean. Sorry."
"You also know this Rex."
"Him and his Guardian live with us. Or I live with them. They make me feel bad, won't even be in the same room most of the time, but they're not the worst. I've heard about a hundred year silence, before. One that left hers down, that's probably the worst. I've heard a lot but I don't know how true any of them are. Comfortable guessing the Ghost is at least sometimes in the right."
"Hmph! Would Sunny leave you 'down'?"
"I won't say no, but I will say that if she ever does, I trust that judgement. Whatever I've done, whatever's gone wrong, it'll be for the best."
"Hmph! This is enough. I thank you for your time and honesty, Guardian."
"You're welcome...?"
"Freija...."
"It feels weird to say!"
"Try!"
"She's laughing again, relax."
"She's laughing because she thinks it's funny that I have to beg you to stop being a smartass at the leader of a multigalactic militaristic empire that blows up suns and has the technology to disrupt us!"
"I'm a kinderguardian with a popgun on a private comm channel septillion clicks away. I've also happened to be around for some really shitty days in the last couple years. She doesn't have to hold stature and I'm powerless. She likes that part, that's why she gets to ask all the questions she isn't allowed to ask Zavala no matter how friendly they get."
"That doesn't mean you can be rude!"
"It still feels weird to say!"
"I would allow something more natural if that is what the Guardian would prefer."
"Don't encourage her!"
"Now who's mouthing off the Empress of a multigalactic legion? No problem! Happy to help."

OC Meme - Vharloth Zal'arin
(Baldur's Gate 3 version)
Tagged by: No one directly, but @ex-textura's gorgeous boy Ilztaufein inspired me to do this for yet another OC
Tagging: Everyone who wants to do it and hasn't been tagged directly!
Tumblr media
B A S I C S
Full name: Vharloth Zal'arin. He chose the name for himself. He'd rather cut out his tongue than ever speak his birth name again, since he associates it with nothing but misery.
Gender: Cisgender male
Sexuality: Bisexual
Pronouns: He/him
Class: Oathbreaker Paladin
O T H E R
Birthplace: One of the greater cities in the Underdark, but I haven't decided on a specific one yet.
Job: None at the moment. Before his escape, he was being kept as a slave and gladiator.
Phobias: He bears an intense fear of seeing loved ones suffer or die, but since that fear isn't irrational, it's not quite a phobia.
Guilty pleasures: There's not much that brings him pleasure to begin with, but he doesn't feel guilty about anything that does.
Hobbies: He doesn't know himself well enough to have many real hobbies yet, but what he does know is that he enjoys singing - mostly where nobody else can hear it, though.
M O R A L S
Alignment: He still has to figure out where his free will will land him, but probably along the lines of chaotic good.
Sins: None of the classic deadly sins fully apply to him, but negative traits of his include jealousy, apathy/reluctance, as well as a tendency towards judgmentalism, all of which he's aware of, and actively trying to overcome.
Virtues: Patience, tenacity/resilience, hope, and the willingness to learn and improve
T H I S  O R  T H A T
Introvert / Extrovert
Organized / Disorganized
Close-minded / Open-minded
Calm / Anxious / Restless
Disagreeable / Agreeable / In between
Cautious / Reckless / In between - strongly depending on the given situation, and whether or not there are lives at stake other than his own
Patient / Impatient / In between
Outspoken / Reserved / In between
Leader / Follower / Flexible
Empathetic / Unempathetic / In between
Optimist / Pessimist / Realist - not quite applicable. His past has left him with a pessimistic streak, but he's actively working on getting rid of that, forcing himself into a more hopeful mindset.
Traditional / Modern / In between
Hard-working / Lazy
R E L A T I O N S H I P S
OTP: None so far
Acceptable Ships: Vharloth x Halsin. They're not an absolute OTP, but they'd work nicely together, at least from Vharl's point of view. Halsin's grounded, wise, and kind nature is something he'd feel himself strongly drawn to. Maybe even Vharloth x Astarion. I don't think they'd last for very long, but they could bond over some of their past trauma, and misinterpret their understanding of each other's emotions as romantic feelings.
OT3: Vharloth x Halsin x Lythia (another OC of mine). Lythia is a young half-elf, her father being Aozhan, my main OC. She's sweet, gentle, kind, accepting, and has a strong heart. Halsin and Lythia are the actual OTP here, but since they've agreed to let each other roam if they wish, and since they've both got elven blood, I can also see them with Vharl.
Brotp: Vharloth x Karlach. Vharlach, if you will. Vharl gravitates towards people with a positive mindset, since he himself is actively fighting to allow optimism into his own life, so he'd probably enjoy spending time with her. There wouldn't be romantic feelings from his side, though, since he only feels those towards other elves or half-elves.
Notp: Probably a good few, but the most obvious one is Vharloth x Minthara. Being not only a female drow, but also a Paladin of Lolth just like he himself used to be, he'd be terrified that she'd make an attempt to take him back to the Underdark and have him punished for his insubordination, to a point he'd refuse to stay with the group if she was part of it.
B A C K S T O R Y
I don't have his full story developed, but here have some facts about him that I do know for sure - in no particular order.
He's the firstborn child of a rather well-respected family, but not of noble background.
He used to have a younger sister. She was his everything, but she was killed during an attack at a social event hosted by one of the high houses, which he was also present at. His parents never forgave him for failing to save her, and neither did he.
After those events, he was pretty much disowned by his family, and eventually ended up enslaved under another matriarch.
"His one redeeming quality," as his parents often stated, was that he was talented with the sword, which led to his mistress sending him into coliseum fights for the upper class's entertainment, and eventually he was encouraged to swear the Oath to Lolth. He didn't keep it out of true conviction though, but for the fear of consequences.
For almost his entire life, he's secretly dreamed of a life on the surface. The only person he ever told about this was his sister, whom he used to have a close bond to.
Having made it to the surface now, he's in a strange mental place, having bouts ranging from internal emptiness, to radical longing for any sort of experience for experience's sake.
A quote of his is: "I'd rather go blind from seeing the sun just once, than never getting to see it."
At some point in the future, he will renew his oath, but this time he'll swear it to Lathander, and this time, he'll mean it.

wow wife ask! wife ask!!
🍁 Where does your OC go when they need to have some time to themself? Would they ever have their own “comfort corner” filled with all the things they like? Do they have a favourite spot outside that feels like its theirs and theirs alone?
in EWT I actually don't think Orion has had his own place to live since starting on with Annex - he does not have the little trailer like he used to in the campaign lol. between assignments he rents an ADU in Tinwick from another Annex employee who also travels frequently. it's a place to go for alone time but it doesn't really feel like his own space, and he's never there for more than a couple weeks at a time.
so, no, I think his life atm is simply too transient for anywhere to feel like "his." he hasn't been home in a very long time.
💐 How does your OC handle being unwell or forced to rest in bed? Who cares for them and in what ways? Does your OC enjoy being doted on or are they a terrible patient? Reversed: is your OC good at taking care of others who are ill or in need?
you might think, Orion is an attention whore, he probably loves to be doted on when sick? wrong. being sick/injured = vulnerable. vulnerable is the worst possible thing. so unless it's a good excuse for getting out of something she doesn't want to do, then yeah she would rather crawl into a corner to die than let someone know she might need help lol
I think she'd do her best for someone she loved, but even her best would probably not actually be helpful

tulip :   how does your muse view people in general ?
this is a fun question to think about. amanita doesn't think much of people - their lives are in the blink of an eye in the universe & so there's not much energy that she can waste on them that she thinks will matter. if she saw someone she didn't know drowning, she'd probably let them. in her mind it's the natural order of things; people are crueler & more capable of perpetuating death than anything else. it makes sense that they should rot & be recycled into something new.
it leaves her with a disconnect with the people around her. she feels like she is outside of this perspective if that makes sense? she is a keeper in the garden of life & death. she's done her evil & she is being reused to make something new. it's really difficult for her to navigate - she's good-intentioned, but it's in theory. it's a habit she's still getting the hang of. so she's definitely a hypocrite in that way if that makes sense?
no life matters, but what she's doing does. learning a new way that will spread the spores of new life when she's still figuring out what that new life is if that makes sense?
so i guess the direct way to put this is: she doesn't value anyone's life, she values what comes after it. what comes next. what seeds they sew for the future that she gets to see. this leaves her with a strong sense of disconnect from the people around her, especially knowing that she is at the beginning of what will probably be a very long life. she will let someone die, bury them & visit their grave in a century.
it's really difficult for her when she does begin caring for others & their place in her life. it's really hard to digest & it does leave her really confused. she can't always manage those feelings really well because she wants to hold on for as long as she can. she doesn't really know grief from an external place - she's grieved herself & her life & that hurt like hell. ( in grieving that life she grieved the people, but the way they mattered was different. love before being exiled was never quite as raw as love after )
but she could rebuild herself. she doesn't know how grieving someone else's loss is going to feel & it fills her with such fear. but fear manifests in a lot of ways - she throws up walls, tries to maintain distance while craving closeness.
so she tries to maintain that distance she keeps herself safe with, because being disconnected means she can't really miss anything when it's gone. she knows it will be. it's why she has a home, separate from her grove where she likes to spend her time. she wants connection, she craves connection, but hasn't quite learned how to maintain that. she's working on it but it's a grueling process & not something that is particularly easy to her.
so i think it's really hard for her to feel close to people because she's looking at what comes next rather than what is. when she becomes any sort of fond of someone it's terrifying & she tries to deny it but also tries to hold on too tight. it of course depends on the context in a lot of ways too but this is just in general.

John Wick head cannon (idk which one already 💀):
• Caine & Koji were incredibly in love. A forbidden one. They knew whatever they had left of their past other than each other, they've lost. They love each other, yet are too afraid to love. Too afraid to find another, too afraid they'd hurt each other in the process. Koji saw Caine as a sweet, funny guy he once knew, the 20 years ago they've met; not the sarcastic, sad man Caine became over the years. Koji saw only the best parts of Caine, no flaw was ever detected. Caine remembers what Koji looks like, or at least, looked like. Caine saw him as a gentle, caring person, a single father raising a child. Caine never saw him again, he never can. A tale of beauty, a tale of heart break; that was all that the folks who knew would say; but never to Caine, especially not after what he had to do for John. He sees John as someone he truly does care for, someone he trained side-by-side as a young one.. Yet, the sacrifice he had to make, he regrets every day he lives, every breath he takes, every second that passes. John knew the importance of Koji to Caine, and Caine to Koji, but they never did, not until that very last breath.
• John can't sleep easily at night, always in a state of fear, and regret. He doesn't know what he fears; he only knows that the fear is not an other person; more of, himself. He regrets every breathing moment, from the day he started, to the day he takes his last breath; but until then, he will never be the same man. He killed the ones he loved, and in the process, killed himself, mentally. His state of mind, it only got worse. Nothing he's ever done, of anything he tries to do, it never helps the issues. It never did. He can only hope for another day, he can only pray for no other day. The only person who can Kill John Wick, is himself.
• Caine sits on his balcony every night since the death of Koji, the pale moonlight was never seen by Caine for so long, yet it seemed different now. More of, out there, a star watched him. His star; Koji. The one who shined so brightly, in the eyes of the blind man. Caine sits on his balcony, on the chair he brought with him, always talking to no one; talking about his day, knowing Koji was watching over him. He always had. Caine would always feel the warmth that fell upon him each time he knew Koji was around as he talks about what happened that say, and what might happen in the next. Caine could finally rest easy, knowing Koji was no longer in pain, in pain of protecting so many, sacrificing himself in the moment. Caine could only worry for the sake of Akira. Caine loved her like his own blood, his own family. Caine would rather die a death by Akira, than live a life of sadness. Akira saw Caine as a parental figure, but her heart wad torn in two places, not knowing how to cope any more. Caine is willing to die, just to see a smile on Akira's face once more, but he knew his death and Koji's death would make the situation for Akira worse, knowing she'd lose the other person she saw as a parent, after losing the first. She never did kill him. Caine took Koji's parental role, now no one else would, though she's legally an adult. Caine knew she needed comfort; and Caine knew he would be the only one who could be there.
((DISCLAIMER: Sorry for not posting :(. I'm very busy, i only have Sundays off now, and i want to spend as much time possible with my loved ones. Please don't expect too much from this account, other than a weekly post or two!! Love you guys!!! Bye bye <3!!!!)

Zhongli/Tartaglia Fic Rec List 1
All We Hold Within Our Hearts – series (teen, wip, 4k) A series of character studies featuring Zhongli and Childe and how they relate to each of the five love languages.
Begin Anew, O Lost Child (explicit, complete, 200k) You may find time is too relentless to control and you cannot change your role. Zhongli’s expression is painfully gentle. It sends a flutter through his chest that anyone would look at the bloodthirsty Harbinger like that. He is silhouetted beautifully by the golden light. A golden prince for a golden city. “They say that souls never truly die. One day we might be so lucky to meet old friends again. Perhaps those we cared for most will find us again and we might learn the foundations of our friendship once more. I always thought time a relentless enemy but maybe time gifts us these moments of joy as well.” The hero Ajax walked the lands of Teyvat and his legend shaped the future. Heroes die but legends live forever. Their names are passed on, one generation after another. Those who bear the names of heroes are forced to confront the legacy they inherit. Childe grows up in the shadow of his namesake and rises to meet the challenge of legend.
bottom of the bottle and at my wits' end (teen, complete, 7k) While he's hunting down Scaramouche to reclaim the Electro Archon's Gnosis, Childe spends a night alone with his thoughts and a bottle of Fire-Water. AKA Childe character study
hung up (explicit, 45k) Childe moonlights as a phone sex operator to pay for his bills. Zhongli is a grieving man looking for a stranger to listen to him, rather than help him get off. It breaks the growing monotony of his late night calls, but Childe eventually finds himself falling for the deep-voiced man he knows only as "Rex."
Hydro Resonance (explicit, complete, 6k, includes Tartaglia/Yelan) Childe is looking through his correspondence when Ekaterina arrives with a nondescript wooden box. "Sir, someone from the ministry of civil affairs left this for you." He opens the box without much thought. He gets a lot of letters, and a package or two isn't anything too unusual. He frowns at what, at first glance, looks like a very strange bead necklace and a bottle of oil. The beads are all different sizes, sphere after sphere of glimmering cor lapis connected by a stiff string. Why would anyone send him jewelry? His eyes widen as he notices the note lying innocently over the thing. For you to train with. -Y Childe almost drops the box. No way. The beads are supposed to go inside him. --- Yelan and Childe have a mutually beneficial arrangement. Mr. Zhongli is just a friend, or so Childe keeps insisting.
In a family way (explicit, complete, 12k) “You-“ Zhongli’s voice is hoarse, face contorted in utter bewilderment. Still, he does not move, keeping Childe’s legs straight in the air. “You asked to be my mate. You wanted me to breed you. Ajax, you said that to me.” Oh, Celestia, they’re still connected. It’s all going to his head. Childe thinks he’s delirious. This can’t be real. “That was-“ His voice breaks in an awful squeak. “-that was dirty talk!” He never thought- Oh, fuck. Zhongli moves inside of him, and he can feel the cum sloshing through his guts. All this time. He’s an idiot. The signs, in retrospect, were so obvious. Zhongli has been trying to impregnate him. … Or, Childe learns the hard way to be careful what he wishes of an (ex) god. It might just get taken literally.
Oceans Between Us – series (mature, wip, 200k) There was more to the contract than a gnosis and test of Liyue. It seemed like a simple deal five hundred years ago: so long as Morax never had a soulmate, the Tsaritsa would never harm Liyue and she would not get his gnosis. But the moment he gained a soulmate, all that belonged to him was forfeit. He thought the deal left Liyue safe—he'd lived thousands of years without a soulmate. The Tsaritsa would be dead and gone by the time she'd have a chance to collect. Five hundred years later, Childe appears in Liyue, Zhongli gains a soulmate mark, and everything falls apart. (The obligatory soulmate AU, featuring a Zhongli with trauma, an oblivious Childe, and demon-worshipping cultists.)
The Inaccuracy of Infinity (mature, complete, 250k) Zhongli finds himself in quite the conundrum when a simple day trip with Childe, gone wrong, ends with him turning Childe immortal instead... And how he fails to inform the harbinger about this new development. Though, Zhongli supposes there'll be time to fill him in on this small detail sometime during the journey around Teyvat Childe has managed to rope him into.
To the Rhythm of Your Racing Heart (teen, complete, 90k) A mysterious shopkeeper offers Childe a bottle of wine that will make him forget about the one he loves. Childe is more than willing to accept it.
Two Truths and a Lie (teen, complete, 13k) There is a popular game in Snezhnaya, one that originates as an activity to keep children occupied during the long winter days stuck indoors while arctic winds howl outside, knocking against doors and windows and carrying with it a violent storm of ice and frost. The game has since been adopted into a drinking game by bored young adults similarly trapped inside those cold, dark grueling months. The game’s rules go something like this. Each person takes a turn telling two truths and one lie about themselves while the rest of the participants have to pluck out the lie. If the guessers guessed wrong, the person telling the information gets the point. If the guesser guessed right, then the person gets no points. There is no real end to this game. Children play it until they become bored, adults play it until they become drunk. Childe plays it until… Come to think of it, Childe’s not entirely sure why he’s playing. -- A Childe introspection story where he tries to find his heart.
Weighing Contracts (teen, complete, 150k) The final contract of Liyue. That’s what Rex Lapis had called it. An agreement to test his people, to see how they would be able to stand on their own and to allow them to move on from the age of gods and monsters into the dawning age of man. Rex Lapis knew they would be challenged in ways they had never been before, but despite appearances, he would be there to catch them if they fell. However, there were things he hadn’t accounted for despite all his careful planning. He had known that the Tsaritsa’s Fatui were sent to cause chaos - that Childe was a Harbinger and therefore would be at the epicentre - but he hadn’t expected this. As his ancient foe rose from the depths of the Guyun Stone Forest, the Archon weighed the final contract of Liyue against the first and made his decision.

Long cartoons ramble lol
That was from my queue but making me think abt s2 my biggest fear is s2 is simon being like out of the main story like as a character that just sometimes comes up not just because I like him like yeah but way more importantly I really liked how the dynamic and friendship between him and fionna and cake developed because it was like so extremely important for the entire world building and I get sorta miffed when people are like, uhhh it's fionna and cake not fionna cake and simon get over it 🙄 let other characters (finn gets brought up a lot here) take the spotlight, like firstly you're contradicting yourself because I don't see Finn in the title either, and not to say I don't want to see more of him (I do! And I anticipate more of him!) But he was NOT actually a major part of the story! And isn't actually all the relevant to fionna he NEVER was in the og series, ice king was, but lemme back up. . .
From the beginning, fionnaworld existing in Simon's mind, was entirely impacted by his feelings, which wasn't just the lack of magic it was the fact he was depressed and getting to his wits end, feeling out of place, that's why fionna was so sad in her world, "I'm not feeling like myself today" etc, it wasn't like in a vacuum she was 100% intertwined with him (always was! Ice king wrote her stories!) And the beginning of their relationship was this sort of hostility like simon being angry to know she even existed and wasn't just a foolish machination of the insane ice king, and his peers are like ohhhh we loved those comics ice king wrote, and meanwhile simon is like repeatedly attempting suicide (which would have killed fionnas entire world. Btw.) Fionna is a little more open to him, but leaning towards her self interest of the fact that if he dies her world does, cake meanwhile is like damn this guy sucks.
By the end of the journey though, fionna genuinely cares about him so much she'd rather risk losing the battle to save her and her world than for simon to destroy himself for her (and she does this twice actually! The first time when they were with the lich and fionna had secretly picked up the crown and tried to hide it so simon wouldn't put it on, she even fights with cake over it, her bestie cake), simon cares so much he (ALSO TWICE) tries to go against Betty's wishes to save fionnas world with the crown, and at FIRST it was like a convenient excuse to psychologically off himself like welp I don't care if I live or die, if I throw my brain awake this person lives, then it's settled. Later its like, he so genuinely wants to make the sacrifice he tries doing it in front of his chaos God wife (when originally.. the plan was to see her, apologize, and die with her)
After fionnas world became it's own thing separate from simon.. like, the parallel cannot be missed here, the fact that her world was represented by a dandelion she wished on to save, the fact that Betty blew simon away like blowing like a dandelion wishing for him to go back home and live, he and fionna stay in contact across the multiverse to be friends. And their friendship and love for one another peaked at this point, when they are no longer like involuntarily bound together, they both chose to make the best of the lives they have (fionnas being letting go of the magic she wanted to have, and learning to appreciate her world as it is .. which is better because the way it is, simon is not suffering (as ice king ) for it to exist. That's what her nightmare about the freezer was about.)
Like all the themes and parallels between fionna and simon are so fucking intertwined I cannot even understand why you'd want to see less of that :[ even if it's not the main focus of like, whatever stakes will be introduced in s2, their bond should still be like.. very prominent I feel?? To be like "well we don't need simon anymore since fionnas on her own" kinda like dumps out all of the stuff I was just talking abt yknow?? And idk like rip to you but I'm different ig but was it not super sweet and cute for a peppy 30 year old failwoman, her sassy talking cat, and a 59 year dorky widower with a heart of gold to be adventure buddies like..? :[
"Well Simon's story with betty concluded" I hear a lot well, okay! First of all the conclusion sucked but w/e that's a hot topic of debate, but more importantly, that's fine, that part can be concluded and. The conclusion was (the better part of it) that simon should stop letting his grief about betty kill him from the inside out and instead live the life she sacrificed herself for him to have. So... that.. lines up? Perfectly in fact?? that sets him up for s2 to have more than not a clean slate on one of the most major parts of his character since forever (betty) like if his journey is no longer about her then. He's like pretty fresh to do whatever. And what was ADDED to him was his relationship with fionna and cake. And as much as I WISH he got a happier end with betty, it is what it is, I'm very much ready for simon new game+ where he's happier and (especially since s1 set him up as like being pretty alone and isolated even from the people who love him b/c they're living their own fulfilling lives) gets a reprise with fionna and cake and they're like, his next closest people, and she like, gets another adventure with the person connected to the world of magic she wanted (who himself isn't even magic he's a human like her)
I don't wanna see that shoved to the side it would be heartbreaking!! They're friends! They care so fucking much about eachother! 😭 it's not just me right?? I can't be the only one who doesn't feel like their friendship is integral to the story 😭😭

go on, claim my heart: chapter twenty-one
see my masterpost for what came before this.
Cassandra has not moved since Lady Briarwood gave chase to the bat that escaped into the hall. She has no idea what to make of the chaos; as far as Cassandra is aware, the bat was just a bat, but Lady Briarwood seemed instantly convinced that something more nefarious was afoot, and she learned long ago never to argue with her.
The baby is still crying behind her, but Cassandra does not move to help her. What can she do? The child's misery is perfectly logical. She has been stolen from gods know where by people who wish to kill her in some terrifying arcane ritual. Cassandra would be wailing too, if not for the bone-chilling fear.
The Night of Ascension is two days away, and Cassandra must imagine that the castle is crawling with guards and—she resists a shudder at the thought—a myriad of Lady Briarwood's undead servants. How is she meant to smuggle a screaming baby out of here at a time like this?
(If she were stronger, braver, she could show the child mercy. Better to die swiftly here, now, than in whatever macabre circumstance the Briarwoods have concocted for her. They would punish Cassandra with her life, but it would be worth it, to deny them their grand mission, to spare this infant that most acute horror. But she won't, because she is a scared child herself, and she'd rather take a blade to her own throat than this helpless baby's.)
She jolts when Lady Briarwood reappears in the door to the nursery, her face a mask of fury. A moment later, and she is right there, curling her fingers around Cassandra's throat. "Who was that?" she snarls as Cassandra gasps for air.
"I—don't—a bat?" Cassandra squeaks, clutching at Lady Briarwood's hand. "Just—bat!"
Her sneer hovers inches from Cassandra's face. "That was no mere bat, you fool! That was a mage of some kind! I could smell the magic on them!"
Cassandra whimpers, black dots appearing before her vision. Before she passes out, a familiar voice sounds from behind Lady Briarwood's shoulder. "Delilah, dear, leave her be, lest you want to be the one responsible for the infant's care."
The fingers tighten for a moment before releasing, and Cassandra collapses to the ground, gasping and clutching her throat. Lady Briarwood whirls on her husband. "We are under attack, Sylas. And I cannot believe she does not know anything!"
Lord Briarwood hums, then steps into the room to crouch before Cassandra, who instinctively shrinks in on herself. "Let us find out." His large hand extends toward her, and one finger gently raises her chin so that she meets his gaze. "Tell me, sweet girl..." And she can feel it, that strange, mystical influence, the one that makes her want to please him so very badly. "...did you know your brother yet lives?"
Cassandra's jaw drops at the same moment Lady Briarwood hisses, "What?"
Your brother yet lives. She knows immediately to which brother he refers, having seen the bodies of the other three for herself ages ago, the images of it burned into her mind like a brand. Percy is alive. She tries to remember, tries to conjure an image of what he looked like when they were running terrified for their lives—but it doesn't matter that she can't, because that was so many years ago, and he must look like a stranger now.
Lord Briarwood must be satisfied by the intensity of her shock, because he drops her chin and stands. "She knows nothing, Delilah. She was unaware that the de Rolo child we believed to have died in the Parchwood somehow made it out alive, and in the very company of this squalling child's father, no less."
Lady Briarwood reaches out to grab her husband's arm. "Tell me you are joking, Sylas. Tell me that the Champion of the Raven Queen is not here. Not when he is meant to be dead."
"My love." He reaches out to stroke her check with a few knuckles. "You need not worry. Their little band of heroes cannot impede what we have in motion. We'll increase the guard around the castle, and we'll have these pests eradicated long before our big day."
She sighs and leans into his touch. As monstrous as they are, Cassandra cannot deny their devotion to each other. "If you say so, dear." She turns to glare down at Cassandra. "Do not believe for a moment that they are coming for you. They want that baby, and they'll die before they get her. Make sure you don't give us a reason to dispatch of you, too."
Cassandra nods, and she doesn't breathe again until the two of them have swept out of the room. She waits until the sounds of their footfalls have disappeared to stand, her limbs shaking. She goes to the bassinet and scoops the baby, who seems to have cried herself out, into her arms. "He's coming," she breathes, the first smile she's smiled in ages curling at the corners of her mouth. "Percy is coming for us."
.
Percy creeps through the tree line, one eye on the castle, one eye on the path ahead. Vax has taken to the front of their trio, marking the path for he and Vex to follow on the way back to the others. Vex has been positioned into the middle, neither man willing to let her be snatched away again so easily.
Percy slips out of his coat and drapes it over Vex's shoulders. She startles, her hands coming up to instinctively pull it closer. "What...?"
"You look cold," he says, embarrassed by the heat that comes to his neck and face.
She smiles indulgently at him. "Thank you, Percival."
"Are you in any pain? My water skein is cold, you could press it to the wound."
Her hand reaches back for his. "I'm alright, Percy, truly. You do not need to fuss over me."
"I..." He slows his pace, pulling her a bit farther back from her brother. "I am so sorry for what happened. He never should have been able to put his hands on you."
"It's good to know how quick and strong he is. I'd rather us learn this lesson now as opposed to later."
"I'd rather not learn that lesson by his taking and biting you!" He worries his lip between his teeth. He has to ask, has to know, but the words are getting caught in his throat.
She must sense his hesitation, because she asks, "What is it?"
"What..." He reaches a finger up to briefly brush against the fresh wounds behind her ear. "What did he say to you?"
He watches her eyes carefully, and he watches a dozen different choices being made all at once. He is in agony waiting for the answer; could Briarwood have whispered to her the same words that Oliver heard right before he died?
Finally, Vex comes to a complete stop, tugging him with her. She lifts herself onto her toes to press a kiss to his cheek. "Nothing true," she murmurs, and then she resumes her quiet pursuit of her brother. Percy stands there, dumbfounded for a few moments before scrambling to catch up.
They press on as silently as they can for a few more minutes before Vex murmurs, "You know, there's something I've been meaning to tell you, Percy."
"Oh?" He sees her fingers twisting nervously around her bow.
"Percy, I..."
Before she can find the words, Vax hisses over his shoulder, "We're here!" Percy looks toward him to watch him bolting between the trees toward where the rest of their party is tucked out of sight of the castle. As soon as the three of them are in view, Pike darts forward to wrap her arms around Vex's legs. "You're okay!"
Vex laughs low. "I'm alright, Pike, though I could use a bit of your magic touch."
"Alright, you minx," Pike quips as Vex kneels down to allow Pike to heal her.
Percy keeps pressing on, and he sees Vax sitting on the ground with Keyleth, who has thrown her arms around his neck and is sobbing into his shoulder. He skitters forward to crouch in front of her. "What happened? Were you hurt?"
Vax shakes his head. "She saw Vilya."
Ice splashes down Percy's spine. "Keyleth..."
"They're going to kill her," Keyleth gasps, clutching onto Vax's armor as if it is the only thing tethering her to the earth. "They're going to kill her, and I left her there."
Percy reaches out to squeeze her knee. Something about his touch jolts her, because she rips herself away from Vax to clutch at his hands. "Cassandra!"
His eyes blow wide. "You saw her?"
She nods furiously. "She has been charged with Vilya's care. She's...deeply out of her element, but she seems to be trying her best. From what I heard, the Briarwoods have no desire to harm her, at least not in the immediate future, not like..."
She doesn't need to finish the thought. "We'll get them both out," Percy vows to her, "but first we must get ourselves out of here. Our presence is known, and we're not going to get this solved tonight."
Vax nods and stands, pulling Keyleth with him. "He's right. We need to regroup." He pulls his trembling wife away from the castle, and before Percy moves to follow, he casts a final glance toward his family's home, toward where his sister is waiting for him.

Evealia x Mink (Dramatical Murder VN)
I don't know how cringe self-inserting yourself into games is at the moment but I am a reader AND a writer, so here is my DMMD self-insert (lacking art because my PC has been exploded for 3 months now and fate just doesn't want me to do my work).
With a small part of my self-ship fic that I have been unable to finish on time for my birthday. As a treat.
I'm making mine under the pretext that Aoba has decided to be with Ren as the true ending. That actually leaves me with other people I could have experienced Over Tower with (or had an entirely different situation) and that other people is just Mink.
I'll refer to this OC in 3rd person with the name Eve, because it feels weird to say 'my' although it is 'my' in the sense of
At this point her AllMate is recycled Maine Coon, the size of a big dog (around 70cm of body height) but de-clawed. The previous models were meant as guard animals in a very popular fashion shop/show thing but many of them became susceptible to viruses and those viruses ultimately destroyed the feline population of these AllMates made them aggressive. Declawing was the first attempt to keep them despite the faults but since they would also have to alter their teeth/jaw, it was just easier (as they were a limited number) to get rid of them and get new ones.
The way Eve managed to fix her AllMate was exchange parts from a scrapped dog AllMate, which is why he often shows puppy characteristics. Like randomly barking between meows.
Oh, where did she get the parts? She works at a repair shop as a clerk and knows this or that. She originally came from a different country, so getting instantly into robotics was her way to 'fit in' when in reality she sticks out aesthetically like a sore thumb in that world.
AllMate’s name is Noon because its serial code is N00N265 and they are not really fit for Rhyme battles, so that’s how she manages to avoid all the battles. They are ginger, of course, so the cat itself is a little bit insane, and despite the name being more feminine the cat has a deep masculine voice box.
Haha, Noon and Eve, get i- *Gets shot*
She lived in one of those apartments on the 14th floor on the main road and her room used to never have any light in it no matter the time of day. It made her really unhappy because she loves plants that bloom, but those don't last long in the shadows. After getting with Mink she's crazy for making the back of the house into a garden and once in a while he ends up minding something like... a pot of mint in his room because she needs it to be somewhere cozy until the leaves take root.
When she meets Mink the first reaction is to run, the second one is to be pathetic on the floor and because she’s a woman he hesitates for 0.00003 seconds, just long enough for her to kick him in the shin and run literally 4 meters before he catches up and the entire scenario of what happened there happens, we all know Mink's route.
Actually when it comes to other characters she’s not at all battle-ready and would rather run than fight, be it because she has never had to learn how to fight or because that primitive part of her brain clicks faster than 'I should defend myself'. So she'd probably be a good punching bag if she wasn't so pathetic and big doe-eyed teary-eyed.
Mink will pick up the name Eva eventually if it reminds him of his own gods (Eva is a goddess mother that brings life and destiny/death along with it, or a goddess of water and the earth) so he thinks that it’s okay if she carries that name as long as she honors the goddess. And Eve of course does so Mink doesn’t slap the spirit out of her in return.
Noon and Lulacan constantly fight.
Anyways, when he disappears for a while she is MAD, probably because she pops off at some point and says that he doesn’t deserve to die and should keep living so the memory of his people would remain and somehow through gaslighting and mental gymnastics and he recognizes the goddess’ name he decides to survive.
After they get together she is totally the type to think she’d get abandoned again and sleeps on the couch until she almost freezes over and dies from abandoned puppy syndrome although Noon is always with her and he’s a purring heat blanket draped over her at all times.
In their relationship while Mink is the brooding and 'actions speak louder than words' kind of quiet guy she is the FMA radio in the background, always talking to the cat, to Mink or to herself without really caring if he is listening and without trying to be interesting, just spilling all the information ever and if he doesn’t like it he can always move away into another room and she would never be mad.
He doesn't, but sometimes he has his ways to shut her up if he needs peace.
When Eve does want attention though she would sit in his feet like a dog, leaning against his knee and would do her thing until he gives up and asks what she wants. It’s usually to go on walkies or to be taught stuff or for him to talk nonsense to her instead.
She doesn't pick up on his job but she's a magpie and begins making the beads he uses instead. He doesn't allow her to sell any since the production is slow, but if he likes anything in particular he picks it up. He got her the tools to begin.
Also totally the person to think Mink would leave again and sit outside in the cold all by her stupid self, the only reason she survived abandoned puppy syndrome is because Noon laid on top of her and kept her warm on the couch.
Otherwise she's not jealous, even worryingly unmoved if other people say something in mild interest about her husband. Truth is, she gaslights herself into believing that it's stupid to think Mink would go back on his words. Does it in front of the bathroom mirror every evening.
She also brings flowers and trinkets she got throughout their first 5 years of being together for the memorial/gravesite and left them there without telling mink whenever something reminded her about a specific person Mink opened up about at some point.
Silly details people usually insert in their OCs information:
Date of Birth: August 5th
Age: 23 years old
Zodiac sign: Sun - Leo; Moon - Scorpio; Rising - Leo
Fav Food: Anything that has chicken and cream in it
Detested Food: Zucchini, Eggplant, Pumpkin, Melon, Animal innards (except liver)
Fav Animal: Jaguar/ Bird of Paradise
Fav Gem: Fire Opal
Fav Colours: Royal Red/Purple/Green

Also tea person, cat person, spirit animal is either fox or deer and I can't think of anything else, I am sqeezed dry.

Note
This is probably a bit of a dark question so please feel free to ignore it if you would rather not answer! But do you ever think about who dies first between your couples (assuming it's by old age and natural causes) and how the other one carries on in her remaining years after? Because I love the journey they take and the small pockets of their life time we get to see but sometimes I wonder how they'd be when the time comes.
lol that IS AWFUL
I'm thinking about it now!
Between Sutton and Charlotte... they both would die within a year or two of each other. A piece of them would be missing, like deeply in their soul. They have their daughters and grandchildren and they aren't necessarily lonely but. they also are. Charlotte would die first, I think. Sutton is overall in slightly better health? And she would bury herself in their family, and take a lot of quiet comfort and bittersweet feelings whenever she saw Charlotte reflected in their family.
Caroline would die first, between her and Hannah. And Hannah would kind of fall more into herself? She is already a quiet person, naturally, and without Caroline, she feels a big void. Like, she built her own life, but life doesn't feel right without this strong and steady presence by her side. Hannah definitely ends up talking to Caroline, a lot, though. Like... when she is laying in their bed at night, the way she and Caroline would do after a long day, when they just chat before sleep, she will talk to her, then.
Between Brooke and Taylor... it's Brooke who dies first. And it is really... way harder on Taylor than she imagined? Not that she thought life without Brooke would EVER be easy, but Taylor has accepted death as a part of life and has a very healthy view on the cycle of life and death and coping mechanisms and goodbyes. And even though she thought it would be so hard to be without Brooke (who would stay in their house until she passed, because she WAS NOT LEAVING and Taylor was happy to take care of her in failing health. And they definitely had a conversation before Brooke died, where Brooke told Taylor about how this is how she would have wanted to go, with her, and she never imagined she'd have this life, but Taylor made it worth living) - it is even harder than she expected? Like... for the first time in Taylor's life, she has a true depression, then. And it is never really gone, though she does pull herself together and go on her walks and do yoga, but she is always wearing the necklace she bought for Brooke, decades ago.
