HEADCANON. I think it’s safe to say that Ava has some mixed feelings over her kid.
While the kid himself didn’t do anything wrong, the whole situation that led up to his birth (her ex ditching her despite sickly-sweet promises of staying together forever) and the current stress of working several jobs to keep them afloat is... taxing, to say the least. I don’t doubt Ava had some selfish thoughts regarding abandoning the kid herself, either. Especially considering her own mother did the same with her and her father.
Speaking of her kid, I? Don’t think she lets him live with her. If anything, she probably hires someone else to take care of him—-both due to her job as an escort and as someone who just. Doesn’t know how to be a mother.

Hi! Does Alya really assume the worst of Mari in this particular chapter (like, quite often yes, she does, but in this case)? Or is it Marinette's interpreting it like that? P. S. Love your work!
A bit of both! Alya doesn't naturally think the worst of her, but Lila is good at manipulating her and the class into assuming Marinette is "messing up" pretty frequently, and Marinette's pessimistic attitude due to trauma means every time no one stands up for her against Lila, it just proves her own insecurities right and she considers it fact. When Alya jumped into lecture mode, it came from a genuine place of worry - but lecturing someone who already thinks you hate them won't lead to any good conclusion, just further hostilities, or putting her on the defensive.
While Marinette's feelings are valid, they're not 100% rational, but no one's proven her WRONG yet, since Lila plays the part of cuckoo so well. If Alya thought the worst of Marinette, she wouldn't have come to her for help during her argument with Lila - but as you'll see in the next update, Alya and Marinette had a blowup argument in the past that was pretty messy on both sides, leading to this cold attitude from Marinette.

Hi GT,
Forgive me if this is a stupid question, but I absolutely love the recs you've given (you've introduced me to tomione, and I love it!) and I was wondering if it's possible to give you some recs in return? There are some books and fics that definitely have dramione / got vibes, and I was wondering if I could share them with you!
So glad you've enjoyed them! Feel free to rec me anything you want. I've read most of the classic recs in terms of fic and adjacent content (Cruel Prince et al), but I'll try anything that's well-written. My tastes run towards weird and/or audaciously creative stuff, and I can forgive a lot of weaknesses in plot on the grounds of (1) ambition or (2) character work. My turnoffs are instalove, protagonists who can't fail, and most Y/A (I'm not a hater, I swear, I just need characters who can say "fuck" when their leg gets chopped off.)
I'm also a fan of weird and fucked-up dynamics.(Wuthering Heights was my favorite book for a while, and as a teenager I wrote an AU in which the book ends on a long sex scene where Heathcliff fucks Cathy's ghost and then immediately gets murdered by Catherine 2.) Obviously, I am very normal.

I think some folks MAY have gotten the wrong idea about how I feel about Circe with some of my posts. So, to clear the air...
Homies, I love that fucked up sorceress.
I love how we're never given a reason why she turns people into animals. That's so funny and so awful. And another potion-making magic gal?!?! I love that she's just basically vibing on an island doing whatever she wants. I even love the fact that she scares Odysseus shitless! She's morally gray and that's why she's FUN.
I just sincerely hate when people try to girlboss her or have her be a victim of SA when she never was Looking at you, Miller. Especially when she was actually the one who coerced Odysseus in exchange for his men being transformed back into humans. And even then, while he was clearly afraid of her, (it's in the language of the Odyssey) she likely meant him no harm after a certain point. He just didn't know that.
Why does she need a reason to do awful things? Why can't she just be a goddess who does whatever she wants? That's the reason why I love her!!! She's fucked up!!! :D
I hate what the Telegony did to her as well! >:( You're telling me, this sorceress goddess, who makes potions (!!!) wouldn't have magic contraceptives??? Would WANT CHILDREN?!?! WITH THE PATHETIC WIFEMAN?! No. Fuck no. Eugammon of Cyrene, I have beef with you 🤬
Anyways!!! Understand all the "#anti circe" I have is simply Anti "Girlboss Circe" or the book. I genuinely think she's neat af as her morally gray, fucked up sorceress self and just get frustrated with...everything :'D

once someone a couple edges removed from me on the social graph got ahold of my phone number and called me up to discuss smth confidentially. she was very polite, and after a few pleasantries basically asked, "are you interested in saving the world? or do you crave comfort?" and i asked what she meant by craving comfort, and she told me, yk that feeling when you get headpats for being a good girl? are you interested in utterly forsaking it except as a means to an end, to optimise the outcome of this timeline? and i answered honestly: no, comfort seems pretty good/important at least in moderate doses. then she very politely told me that well then we have nothing more to discuss
it turned out later she was... very dangerous. like, from all i can gather, terroristically so. this was the consensus opinion of various extremist radicals in her/my social circle, who would openly and often unnervingly/provocatively extol the merits of violence, sacrifice, and coldblooded utilitarian pursuit of the good at the expense of petty concerns liberal pussies identify as "having a moral compass". by even their lights, this was a really disturbingly threatening individual
i think about this exchange sometimes
