Can I request something where Azriel has to pick up Nyx from school one day and thinks his teacher is cute & is very flirty with her?
Yes! Love this idea so much!
When I Kissed The Teacher
Azriel x Fem!Reader
Summary - Feyre loves Nyx's teacher but loves playing matchmaker even more. After sending Azriel to collect Nyx from school one day after feigning a studio related emergency, she's very happy to learn that Azriel's affections are completely in the palm of your hand.
Warnings - none really, just cuteness all round
Tumblr media
Feyre had always been worried about sending Nyx off to school, even though she believed Rhys when he told her that the schools of Velaris were the best in Prythian, she couldn't help but feel anxious that he wouldn't thrive.
Then she met you, and all of her worries faded away.
You were everything Feyre wanted in a teacher for her child, it had taken a lot of weight throwing to get him into your class, it was full to the brim of children from higher born families, only wanting the best for their offspring. Feyre wasn't even surprised.
It was clear how much you cared about your children, in nurturing them into intelligently creative creatures. Other teachers focused solely on the academics, but you had a passion for the arts, you said creativity helped children to find their passions and grow into more compassionate and joyful souls.
Nyx had run into her arms when she had come to collect him that first day, babbling on about what a wonderful time he had with you. Miss Y/L/N. Feyre had never seen such wonderment in his eyes when he told her in that broken infant language how great you were. Everyone's worries about Nyx becoming a shell had vanished.
The little thing had returned home with paintings, reciting poetry from your favourite passages; he had the desire to read, making different voices for the different characters like he had learned from you. Nyx was well and truly flourishing.
Feyre had insisted that you walk home with them one afternoon, since you only lived five minutes from the River House and it was on your route home anyway. From that walk, Feyre had learned much about you, that you were from Spring but left after being disowned by your family for wanting more from life than being married away to be used as a breeding tool. After that you had travelled the continent, making many friends along the way and opening your mind to the world before settling in Hewn City, only to be brought to Velaris on Rhys' orders because he had heard of your talents and passion and wanted it taking root in the children of his city.
The more you spoke, rambling on about art and books and theatre, did Feyre come to the realisation that a certain someone would be absolutely besotted with you. When you had hugged Nyx goodbye, ruffling his hair and telling him you'd see him in the morning, did Feyre begin to hatch her plan.
Azriel wasn't one for sunshine and rainbows, but even he had to admit that Nyx's and Feyre's gushings about you had him intrigued, even Rhys had commented on how sweet you were, seemingly very fond of how Nyx was excelling under your wing.
"Az, would you mind grabbing Nyx today? I have to head to the studio, delivery emergency," Feyre floated past him toward the door, a thin cloak fitted around her shoulders to protect her from the afternoon summer breeze that drifted along the Sidra.
"Uh, yeah. Sure," he waved Feyre from the house as she dashed down the path shouting over her shoulder what time to be at the school for.
The sun was beginning to dip in the sky but warmth still flew through Velaris, Azriel walked along the winding paths and up the hill to the school, the skittering sound of children's laughter filling his ears as he approached. Parents parted as he walked down the cobbled stone path, not wanting to graze against his wings with slight unease in their eyes. Azriel was used to it by now, the looks of disapproval, the slight fear in the people he passed.
The bell rang and birds shot to perch on the branches of the trees that surrounded the plush gardens teeming with bright flowers and wildlife. Children began to file out from the open door, grabbing their bags and running to their parents with wide smiles, excited to tell them what you had taught them that day.
Azriel spied the inside wall littered will paintings and cards, all addressed to you, as well as a wooden table filled with the gifts the children had no doubt made their parents purchase for you.
Then he saw you, and the Shadowsinger audibly gasped. There you were, dressed in a loose white blouse with stringed corset, an earthy brown skirt that fell to the floor covered in colourful handprints that reached your thighs, your hair was unbound and baby hairs whispered along the sides of your face.
You were sunshine. You were radiant.
Nyx's hand was curled in your own as you led him out of the classroom and Azriel could have sworn he'd never seen a brighter look on anyone's face as the little man searched the crowd, "Uncle, Az!"
Your gaze had also fallen on him and you drank in his smile as Nyx left your grip and hurtled to the Shadowsinger, his grin was large, showing off all of his teeth as he bent down and wrapped Nyx in his toned arms, laughing loudly and asking about his day before standing up.
"I don't think we've ever formally met," you held your free hand out, your other carrying Nyx's bag, "I'm Y/N, well, Miss Y/L/N."
You were as soft as summer rain, adoration in your orbs, and you radiated purity and grace. Azriel glanced at your outstretched hand, sliding his own into it and feeling a force of gravity will him closer to you, "So you're the one that has Nyx ready for school at the crack of dawn," he felt relief when you didn't recoil at his hand in yours, the hands that usually made people grimace, "Azriel," you giggled softly, tucking a strand of hair behind your pointed ear.
High Fae.
"Guilty as charged," your voice was like butter, smooth and rich, the perfect balance of femineity.
"Can't say I blame him," he smirked at the heat that rose to his cheeks, at the sheepish smile that tugged at your lips.
"That's very nice of you to say," one of your students walked past you, waving goodbye, and Azriel watched you bend down and fix her jacket to her body, telling her to have a lovely weekend in the sun, "Nyx has had a lovely day today. He just keeps on flourishing, it's remarkable," you had told him once you had risen again.
"I'm sure anyone could flourish with you around. Must be the Y/N effect," he cocked his head to the side at your giggle, just happy to be able to examine the woman who had Nyx all excited every morning. Feyre and Rhys were right, you were remarkable. Like a rainbow rippling in a storm.
"Must be it," the birds jumped from branch to branch around you, like they wanted to keep an eye on you for as long as possible, flitting to the bird houses you had erected by the pond of ducks and in the trees.
"Would you like to walk home with us? Feyre mentioned that you didn't live too far from the house?"
Your mouth fell into the perfect o shape, "Oh, I wouldn't want to impose-"
"You're not," Azriel smiled, looking down at Nyx, shaking his little hand and asking, "Is she, Nyx? Would you like Miss Y/L/N to walk home with us?"
"Yes!" Nyx shouted and you laughed, a laugh that made the edges of your eyes crinkle, you disappeared into the building, returning a few moments later with you satchel, locking the door and taking Nyx's free hand in your own after handing his bag to Azriel.
Azriel was positive that he'd never seen Nyx shine so brightly.
The walk home was full of light chatter, you made Azriel laugh more times than you could count, and Nyx was pointing out random things along the way, looking up at you for approval and tapping his feet on the ground when you nodded and smiled.
From the house, Feyre watched through the curtains as Nyx ran up the path, and kept watching as Azriel lingered behind, she wished she could hear what he was saying to you. But as you smiled, and blushed, and then nodded at the Shadowsinger who was kicking his feet like a schoolboy, she knew it was going well.
Strong arms wrapped around her midsection and her back hit a hard chest, his deep chuckle vibrated through him and his warm breath fanned against her ear, "Playing matchmaker again, darling?"
Feyre hummed with a gentle smile, accepting the peppering kisses over her shoulder as she watched you walk away, looking back at Azriel and waving before turning the corner, "I think this is my best one yet," she told Rhys, noticing the pursed smile on Azriel's lips and the faint pink tinge to his complexion as he followed Nyx up the path.
"I'm inclined to agree."

Sex Love Lit girlies! I watched Crash Landing On You (my first k-drama) and now I have a conundrum: A) I want to watch more k-dramas, and B) No k-drama can seem to measure up to CLOY 😭 Could you put together a playlist of entry-level k-dramas for new fans that capture the CLOY magic? Bonus points if they’re on Netflix
@sliceoflifegirl thanks for the ask!
(Corinne here) First of all, welcome to KDrama land! Crash Landing on You was my second ever KDrama, and the one that really got me hooked. I’m gonna be honest, it’s a hard one to top when you’re mid emotional hangover! That said, I love this ask and recommending KDramas to people, so I’m more than happy to recommend some. My strategy here, rather than recommend something that exactly mimics CLoY (because imo, there’s nothing exactly like it), is to recommend dramas that I think are some of the best of their genre—with some aspect that might help scratch that CLOY itch ;) So, without further ado, here is your KDrama Starter Pack:
Goblin aka Guardian: The Lonely and Great God—This fantasy romance is a classic for a reason. The set-up: 900+ year old goblin Kim Shin is on a quest to find the goblin bride to pull the sword out of his chest and finally let him die. The catch: when he finds goblin bride Eun-tak and starts to fall in love with her, he wonders if there might be something to this whole “life” thing after all. Also featured: a glum Grim Reaper, with whom Kim Shin has a top tier bromance, who has a doomed romance of his own. Goblin gave me one of the biggest emotional hangovers post-CLOY in my early KDrama days. One caveat: Kim Shin meets Eun Tak when she’s in high school, so if huge age gaps in fantasy romances give you the ick, maybe give this one a pass (in which case the fantasy romances I recommend checking out instead are Alchemy of Souls and Doom at Your Service, both on Netflix atm). (On Viki)
Tumblr media
Mr. Sunshine—My pick for one of the best historical (aka sageuk) KDramas out there. Set in early 1900’s Joseon, just before/in the early days of Japanese occupation, this drama follows the lives of five equally compelling characters as they navigate the political turmoil of the time. At the center are Lady Ae-sin, an aristocratic lady with a tendency for dressing up as a man and sneaking around at night on missions for the rebels, and Eugene Choi, an American Marine now stationed in Joseon who escaped enslavement there as a child and has mixed feelings about the land of his birth. This one resonates with the forbidden/doomed love of people from different classes and cultures from CLOY. (On Netflix)
Tumblr media
Reply 1988—This slice of live drama set in Seoul in 1988 follows five families who live in the same neighborhood, and especially five of their high school aged children as they grow up during a particularly vibrant time in South Korea’s recent history. Like the other installments in the Reply series, the series uses two of the main characters in the present day (or present to when it was released, anyway) looking back—which means that viewers know the Deok-sun ends up married to one of her four besties, but which one?? Still, while the love triangle mystery is fun, at its heart, this story is about community. It’ll scratch the CLoY itch for the North Korean market lady shenanigans, and a few others as well (especially if you like intense yearning in your dramas). (On Netflix)
Tumblr media
Business Proposal—If you’d like romance of a completely different genre than CLOY, look no further than Business Proposal! In this KDrama, Shin Ha-ri goes on a blind date in place of her friend as a favor only find out that the date is with her boss. This tightly plotted romantic comedy plays with more rom com tropes than you can shake a stick at, but never sits with one so long that it gets old. The B couple is also fire, and helps move things along whenever the A couple gets into a rut. This drama also features some chaebol (rich business family) shenanigans a la CLOY.  (On Netflix)
Tumblr media
Extraordinary Attorney Woo–If you’re in the mood for a workplace comedy/drama, look no further than Extraordinary Attorney Woo. Featuring the incandescent Park Eun Bin as rookie attorney Woo Young Woo, this legal drama features about a case per episode as Attorney Woo finds her way in the world alongside a delightful main cast of characters. (On Netflix)
Tumblr media
Little Women—My choice for the makjang to include on this list (a genre in which extreme storylines are treated very seriously), this drama focuses on the three Oh sisters as the oldest finds that her friend who died under mysterious circumstances has left her 70 billion that a powerful political family will stop at nothing to get their hands on. Will the story always make complete sense? No. But will the stellar performances, fast-paced, genre-mixing drama, and wild cliffhangers keep you on the edge of your seat as you binge the whole thing? Absolutely. (On Netflix)
Tumblr media
Extraordinary You—Youth dramas may or may not be your thing, but if you have the patience for the shenanigans of high schools, Extraordinary You is my top pick. In this fantasy romance, Eun Dan-Oh discovers that she is actually a character in a comic–and she’s not even the main one! While still high school appropriate, Eun Dan-oh’s literally doomed-by-the-narrative and impossible circumstances romance with Haru, another side character, is another one from my early KDrama days to stick with me just as much as Yoon Se-ri and Ri Jeong-hyeokk’s. (On Viki)
Tumblr media
Search: WWW—Ayanni’s particular contribution to this list, this modern romantic drama focuses on intersecting lives of three women working in the fast-paced tech industry at the top two competing web portal companies. Just as interesting as each woman’s various romantic entanglement are their entanglements with each other as they put their careers ahead of just about everything else. Ayanni says she especially appreciates this one because it focuses specifically on three women (also in this genre are Be Melodramatic and Because this is My First Life).

Happy watching--and do let us know if you pick any of these up!

tdlr: sea witch / seafaring siren immortalized in a brooding business woman trying to enjoy what she's been reaping! it's hard to forget her, really.
jobless mondays, experiencing jamais vu for the first time, taking up space somewhere you’ve outgrown, simultaneously being your parent’s favorite, least favorite, and only child, stuffing tissue paper in your shoes to make them fit you better, your clothes wearing you instead of you wearing them, raising and soothing yourself, stuck behind playing the cards you’ve been dealt and disappearing forever, finding yourself at your lowest and forgetting it all at your highest.

style: hyper-feminine, fond of flowy silhouettes, ruffles, and lace. leans into the siren look with jellyfish like tendrils following behind her in dress form. overdressed constantly, adorning designer brands she knows the average person won’t recognize. prefers muted colors and will always be seen in heels, whether it be pumps, boots, and whatever else. likes to tower above the rest. never seen with unbrushed hair, she maintains her long hair routinely. will do her makeup no matter what the occasion, believes that the more put-together she seems, the validity of feeling that way will increase.
family: born and raised in portland with her immigrant mother, a lightning rod for all of her grief growing up poor; she blamed her mother for not setting up a life that her off-springs could be proud of and even wished fervently that she had never given birth to her. she feels as if her conditions have severely stunted her and she’s been reduced to a machine, only until arriving to new york city did she open herself up to what it means to be a person, much less a powerful person. still doesn’t know much about her father, but got along decently well with her grandmother before her death; she wouldn’t say they had emotional sustenance in their relationship, but for what it was worth, she knew she was preening her for whatever kind of person she choose to be. since individuality was not appreciated nor encouraged in her upbringing, she struggles with her ever-shifting personality and by extension, letting others understand and know her.
BACKGROUND.
grew up in your quintessential first generation immigrant family; was always aware of the financial burden she was on her mother who didn't exactly shelter her from how hard it was to raise her. it was subtle, it was in the way she knew how much the food in her stomach costed, how much she was wearing on her skin, even down to how much the rubber bands holding her braids together costed. her mother would never explicitly tell her how dire their situation was, but her grief was palpable and children are god's greatest sponges! grasping the concept of money at such a young age put a dent in her head, leading her to have deep-seeded financial trauma. unlike other traumas, hers didn't wax and wane; it stayed stagnant in every altercation with money she had. once the dread stifles, comes the mass consumption— the greed. alwaaaays has a hoard of luxury item packages waiting for her at the post office and obnoxiously over-enunciates the names of the brands she's been buying from to the clerk, she's pretentious like that. :T she will also ALWAYS come overdressed ( like why is she wearing cunty heels and a chiffon blouse on her way to the grocery store? ) so please do not hesitate on having your muses comment on how much of a try-hard she is!
growing up in a port town, she did find some solace in walking along the salty shoreline during late winter during her formative years, watching from the waves rocked to and from the magnetic moon. the rhythmic ebb and flow of the tide seemed to synchronize with the rhythm of her own thoughts, feeling quite literally one with the ocean at a time where she felt as if she fell far beyond the realm of being understood by anyone… anything, too. she doesn’t like to admit it, but her love for the ocean had taken a backseat for a grueling stretch of her life, and coming to valpo as another port city is her idea of reconnecting to an affinity that seems to own her as much as she owns it.
going back to her upbringing, she's worked a plethora of odd jobs to put extra money on the table and has honestly seen it all back in portland. though she never strayed too far from the light in how she earned her living, she's not a stranger to how money runs through a community. while school was secondary to working, she did well enough to get into college down in new york city and that's when she realized she's not actually poor ( poor in her mind renders as hopeless, like how her mother was ) she's actually just broke? the american higher education system is cruel to her and the only plausible means of pushing herself through her degree ( you guessed it... majoring in business, like a moth to a flame! she did double-major in marine biology because she knew she would never be able to afford coming back to school ) is having to borrow money from uncle tom. in actuality, though... getting a loan is harder than paying it off, so she learns after finishing up her masters. money / power / anything that will lift her up from the hole she's been born in to her is like that dirtbag boyfriend who tells you time and time again that he'll get better, a loan-shark that grips you when you're at your softest, like ripe meat waiting to be cut through. a bit bloodied in theory? yes! but so is anaïs... ( everyone boos )
and so, she starts off working shitty entry level positions at start-ups that don't give her a lick of social mobility while taking up space ( literally and figuratively ) in the double bed she shares with her mother every night. it's depressing in a way that separates her humanity from her; she feels her lack of existence day in and day out. there's something about working a mundane, uninspiring 9-5 that takes away what being human is to her; as if she's been reduced to an animal, only focused on the hunt of the day and where she's gonna lay her head. that is until the miracle that is her workplace being under investigation for gender discrimination landing her an overdue promotion. from there, her success only grows. her mother is all for it, "you'll finally be able to take care of me," is the sentiment that comes from her, typical immigrant family filial debt bullshit— anaïs never asked to be born and she surely didn't sign up to be a makeshift "retirement plan" ( if you can even call it that ) after years of practically having a tax to how many times she breathes a day. still, she's mommy's favorite ( and only ) and it's an ongoing joke that her mother didn't even want the doctors to cut her umbilical cord.
she's unsure if the person she is now was predestined for her or if she's like this because she finally has the will power to live instead of survive. if her greed and compulsive need to consume has been ingrained into her since birth or if she's just enjoying what is hers by birthright. regardless, she's learned that she's chased her love ( money ) all of her life and it's finally chasing her back. she's heard some whispers of how she has a hefty appetite and that she is not exempt from the kind of hunger she used to chastise others for. you can starve her, but she’ll always come up hungry. there's a gradual build up to the amount of gall she has nowadays.
that’s when she finds herself in valpo, a half baked attempt to reconnect or truly connect to who she thinks she’s meant to be.
PERSONALITY.
you can never quite know anaïs; she's very mouthy yet there's a twinge of sincerity in everything she says, even when she's being deceptive. she vehemently denies being vulnerable, unwilling to see any slight in the position she holds amongst the web of contingencies that is her life. she'll listen to anyone, though. she never stopped being a sponge for other people's grievances and insights, which is why she's willing to take into account even the most unreliable sources because there's validity in their experience and perception. pathetically intense underneath all of her glamor, all of the chest-puffing and high-heel clicking is to hide her self-pity and deliberating hatred for what she's been handed in life. oddly enough, it drives her, too. still, she won't be caught giving anyone her sob story. in fact, she makes up a different background for herself every time someone asks her about how life was like for her before valpo and yes, she does keep track of what she told to who! veeeery unserious and unfiltered; believes that "ingenuity" like hers must be reckon with. upon interacting with her, you can definitely tell there's something fundamentally wrong with her, but she can still hang!
as for plots, i'm rawdogging it as in i'd love to see how she would fit into your muse's story and i'm always down to brainstorm our own specially crafted plot. :3

Everybody hurts Sometimes AU(1/?)
Fun in the sun.
Book: Open Heart (AU)
Pairing: Ethan Ramsey x Casey Valentine
Rating: Mature 18+
Category: Smut
Warnings: sex scene, language
***trigger warning: This AU will deal with issues of addiction and abandonment***
Word count: 1945
Summary: Casey is a top intern at Edenbrook, Ethan is the lead of Diagnostics. They share a secret of treating the revered Dr Naveen Banerji but is it all they will share.
Disclaimer: characters belong to Pixelberry.
Authors note- this is an AU. Inspired by an ask that Elsa received and I had an idea and it grew. This AU will hurt in parts. Blanket trigger will apply for the whole series, even though not all parts mention addiction. I apologise in advance for the pain but let’s enjoy a less angsty Miami.
🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺
They had been treating Naveen in secret for a couple of months now. Not only had he gotten to know Casey professionally but also personally. The more they met, studied and treated, the more blurry the line between mentor/mentee and something more became.
He had always found her attractive since that first day, especially after her first shift and that sinful top she wore. He knew Miami was going to be a test of any self control but Ethan needed her there to help with getting the information he wanted. He had not told her of the ploy and he knew she would be annoyed but it was worth the risk.
She arrives just as the plane is going to board. They gave us first class seats. We have a pleasant flight. I am wanted by people as soon as we enter the hotel. It is infuriating but I do what I must. I send Casey to check us in and I am mortified that they have only given us a single room. Casey states she will happily take the couch on our way up and I tell her not to be ridiculous.
We head down to the floor and make our way to the Panacea booth. I see Declan. He is still as smug looking as ever. I tell Casey what I need her to do. She questions her being number one and I state that she is truthfully the top. She goes to obtain the information. She appears to be getting somewhere but Declan cottons on. I am annoyed, I know he was a pharma rep and thus always thinking about the profit but this was ludicrous. Casey is apologetic for not getting the information and I tell her it is not her fault. I tell her about the time I punched him and humiliated him. We explore the conference some more. We make our way back to the suite. I am not in the mood to attend the gala but I also wish to drown my sorrows.
I go have a shower and then come back to the room. Casey is dressed in the most stunning midnight blue gown. The thoughts of what I wish to do to her run through my head. I make a comment that she looks appropriate. I get changed into my tuxedo and we head down. We part ways early. I make my way to the bar to have some scotch. I stick to the edges mainly then I notice Casey at the poker table. She is struggling. She is making a play for the information. I appreciate the initiative but as an intern she really does not have much to offer and I do not appreciate how Declan is leering at her. I enter the fray and offer something Declan has always wanted, the rights to conduct drug trials and using the team as a vehicle for this.
It is a tense game. I have four of a kind, Kings, what is certain to be a winning hand. It comes to the end of the game. I lie and say I have nothing. Declan is elated that he has bested me. Much to my surprise he gives me the information I am looking for. In one way I am pleased but I am annoyed that I sold my soul to the devil. I hope I can get the hospital out of it somehow. Me and Casey make our way up to the balcony of our room. She asks me if I truly lost and I told her I lied and that I was sitting on a four of a kind kings. We enjoy our drinks. I can not help but marvel at how breathtakingly beautiful Casey looks. Again the thoughts of what I want to do to her force their way into my mind.
“Thank you for tonight, for the initiative of trying to get the information.”
“Given your disdain for Panacea Ethan, why did you do it? I know you would do anything to help Naveen, but what will the cost be?”
“I jumped in because I saw the way Declan was leering at you, I did not want you sacrificing yourself for Naveen”
Ethan gets up from the couch and walks over to Casey.
“The thoughts I had of him touching you, having his way with you drove me crazy, I just could not live with myself if that happened.”
He cups her cheek in his hand.
“Gosh, you are stunning” Ethan whispers before gently kissing her on the lips.
Casey is taken by surprise but recovers and returns the kiss. The kiss then gets heated. They make their way back to the couch where Casey straddles him. Ethan runs his hands all over her curves. She feels better than he ever imagined. He kisses down the column of her neck and slightly unzips her dress to expose her breasts. He massages and sucks at her nipple, which elicits a moan from Casey.
Casey would be lying to herself if she had not thought about Ethan this way. The way he was making her feel was blissful. She could feel the familiar heat pooling at her centre and she was hopeful that she would not need to take care of things her self.
She grabbed the hand that was at her waist and moves it to her centre.
“This is all you” before she kisses him again hungrily. She moans again while Ethan runs circles around her nub. She mewls when he stops.
“Let’s take this inside.”
Casey nods in agreement. They make their way in, kissing and disrobing. He shuts the door behind her and pushes her against it. The cool glass against her back makes her breath hitch. He kisses her again before whispering in her ear
“I want you to watch me make you cum and don’t you dare hold back” before kissing his way down her body, paying plenty of attention to her breasts before kneeling down and putting a leg over his shoulder.
His assertiveness turns Casey on even more. She watches him kiss slowly up her thigh towards her glistening centre. He stops briefly before starting to suck at her clit.
“Oh fuck” she she says before moaning. He continues circling and sucking, Casey wants to arch her hips but he is holding them against the glass. Finally he runs his tongue through her folds and enters.
“Oh gosh, Ethan” she moans. The onslaught is relentless and Casey is rendered speechless. She is feeling light headed. He moves his tongue back to her clit and inserts two fingers.
“Fu-ck!” She screams as he crooks his fingers to hit that spot.
Casey is getting close and her moans are now turning to screams, he she is keeping her eyes open to watch him is a mystery.
Ethan knows she is close.
“You are such a good girl Casey, you can come now!”
With one last thrust and suck, Casey falls to her climax screaming. Ethan laps her up. He then stands and kisses her. She can still taste herself on his mouth. She runs her hands down his chest to his erection. He is as hard as a rock.
“Am I sucking you off or are you…”
Ethan picks her up and brings her to the table behind the couch. He teases her entrance.
“This is so much better than I imagined it would be, god I want you so much.”
“I want you to Ethan,” she whispers. With that he enters her slowly, allowing her time to adjust. Casey moans as he enters.
“Fuck you feel so good”
“So do you Casey!”
Ethan begins to thrust in and out. He starts off slow and gains more pace, sucking at her nipples. Casey is rendered speechless and starts to feel herself get close again. He kisses her on the mouth again, hungrily. She can sense his movements getting more jerky as he thrusts deeper into her. He runs one hand down her arm and lifts her hand to her nub. His hand is over hers as she runs circles with her fingers around it.
“I got you” he whispers and with one final thrust they both reach their climax. When Ethan feels as though he can walk he picks Casey up and brings her to the bed. She cuddles into him.
“That was amazing Ethan, truly, I do not think my imagination even came close.”
He kisses her, enjoying the moment. They go another two blissful rounds before Casey goes to sleep.
Ethan lies awake, waiting for the thoughts of regret that he gave in to sink in but they never come. He knows that if he ever succumbed he would not be able to go back. He knows he should have stopped, especially given her rank in the competition, hell, he ended things with Harper because she was his boss but he oddly does not give a shit. Some things in life were worth the risk and as far as he was concerned, Casey was one of those. He fell into a deep sleep.
Casey wakes up to go to the bathroom, pleasantly sore in all the right places. As much as she had thought about having sex with Ethan, she never thought it would happen and she was buoyed by the fact that he wanted to with her also. She knew there were going to be implications, hell she was going to be surprised if they ever did this again but fuck it was worth it.
The next morning came. Casey was preparing herself for the last night was great but… talk but it did not come.
“I enjoyed last night and as much as I knew I should not have, I wanted to and I do not regret it. I respect you too much to only have one night. I know you are in the running to be on my team but I do not give a shit. All I know is that I want to explore us, what we can be. If you win, we can sort out logistics later.”
“I want you too Ethan but the gossip, you know it will not be favourable, to either of us but especially me.”
“Casey, you have kept secret that you have been treating Naveen with me, surely you can keep this under wraps”
“I know I can, and figuring out what we are in secret is probably best and it is moments like these I am glad Naveen is away from the rest of the hospital because you know he will pick something up but are you sure?” Questions Casey.
He kisses her, “I have never been sure of anything more in my life.” Casey kissed him back, “then I look forward to exploring us.”
They return to Boston, hopeful of the treatment for Naveen. It shows signs of working but Ethan is not fully convinced. Naveen states that the small things are worth celebrating. Ethan blushes, memories of the celebration in Miami flashing in his mind. Casey’s pager goes off and she heads off to tend to it.
“What really happened in Miami?”
“Hopefully something wonderful” says Ethan ruefully, “I best be getting back.”
Naveen watches the closest person he has to a son walk off, he had been curious when Casey had started helping and as time went on he was relieved that Ethan had someone helping him. He did wonder if something more was brewing and the blush on his mentee’s face was telling. Naveen drifted off to sleep, hopeful that Ethan would not get in the way of his own happiness.

Hey, just discovered your account and was wondering if you could tell me something about your lmk au's :)
Or is there a hashtag or master post I could use ?
I read something about your au, where the lmk characters are musicians and I thought it looked great!
Howdy and hello there! I'm happy to tell you about my AU.
“Ride or Die” is an alternate universe that takes place in modern times. I'm still deciding on whether or not to make everybody human, buuuut (until a certain point, somewhere around the 2nd or 3rd season) magic isn't super prominent (it still exists, it's just not powerful or noticeable enough for anyone to do crazy stuff with it like in cannon yet)
[Look at this post for a synopsis of the general vibes]
As noted in the aforementioned post, It starts off pretty normally. MK is a college student that lives with his adoptive father, Paul (Pigsy is his nickname), and his husband Tang (Tang is more of an uncle to him, he came along when MK was a lot older). He works part-time at his noodle shop and attends college with his longtime best friend Mei.
Sun Wukong is a world class dancer actor and singer that's about to retire, but wants to keep his legacy going. He hosts a big contest inviting anyone and everyone under the age of 25 to compete against one another in a tournament style talent show using any kind of performance art you can bring to the table.
MK is jazzed about the event, he wants to compete but doesn't actually think he'd win. He invites Mei to compete with him and she, being his ride or die bestie (roll credits), is all for it. She insists on starting a band, as she's been wanting to do so FOREVER, and Mk agrees. They don't really know how to start a band though. Mk remembers that Pigsy used to be crazy into the performance scene, so they ask him about it.
Pigsy explains that a performance can be anything, as long as people can watch it, and you put your soul into it [”Music is life, Life is music. Living is everything you make of it, and music is the same. It can be a guitar solo; but it's also the laugh of a friend when you tell them a joke you wrote, the satisfied sigh after you finish a painting, or the smile on a customer's face after a good bowl of soup.”
“Like that!” Mk shouts, slamming his fists on the counter as the light of an epiphany glimmers in his eyes “Lyrics! We need lyrics like that!”
Mei gasps, sliding up beside her friend with stars in her eyes “Pigsy! Can you write us lyrics!?”
Pigsy sighs, their antics pulling a small smile onto face “No,” their instant disappointment makes him chuckle, he heads over to the landline and starts dialing “But I do know someone who can.”
An hour later, the four of them are down at the harbour. Pigsy leads them down the dock and to a boat house, where he knocks on the door. From it emerges Sandy, a poet beyond his years.]
From there, Tang offers to organize everything, leaving Mk Mei and Sandy to come up with some performances. I picture them going through a lot of ideas, they put together a song, a play, an art show, and even consider doing an improv thing; but none of it really feels right to MK.
Red makes a menace of himself around this time. He meets MK at a music bar (picture a hipster coffee shop/club place with a bunch of different instruments laying around that people could play if they wanted) and finds out he's participating in the contest too, then starts picking on him. MK isn't really paying attention to his jabs, strumming along a guitar left near their booth.
[Mk’s curious strumming continues to draw a litany of sour notes from the instrument, curling Red’s lips into a harsher sneer.
“I mean- how can you expect to win the contest if you can't even play that guitar!?” the redhead is out of his seat now, looking half ready to rip it out of Mk's hands.
Mk smiles, not even pretending to listen as his brow creases with determination. He continues to fiddle with the instrument “Wait…” a couple strums, hey- wait.. that one sounded.. good?? “I think…” a few more. Was he.. ”I got it!” and testament to his words, the notes emitting from the strings finally smooth into something palatable. A warbling riff slides from his fingers, transforming into a silky bass line as he continued.
Red looked at him, jaw dropping to the floor. Twisted from sour notes and amature finger work, a new song was spun into existence before his very eyes. And it was good.]
Red is instantly intimidated by Mk's apparent musical prowess, and challenges him to an Art Fight to “crush his peasant spirit”. Mk struggles at first, trying to emulate other art fights he's seen and sing/dance his way to victory, but he thinks back to pigsy's words:
[The laugh of a friend when you tell them a joke you wrote, the satisfied sigh after you finish a painting, or the smile on a customer's face after a good bowl of soup]
He catches sight of his art bag, rushes for it, and starts throwing paint around. It's a whirlwind of EDM, dancing, and flying neon paint, but Mk manages to win. His inner music(magic) leaving behind a newly (and tastefully) repainted music bar.
Mk leaves a so so butt hurt Red behind to deal with the aftermath, brimming with a new inspiration.
MK gets back to the gang. Tells them that he loves music, but illustration is his real passion. He wants to enter, but he also wants to “be true to his art form”, and he doesn't know how to incorporate it into a stage performance. Mei proposes they do something experimental. I'm thinking something using holograms, motion capture technology, sick ass music, and a TON of paint. like a bunch of AMVs that link up to one another, but happening in real life. MK gets to do his illustration thing, Sandy gets to crush millions with his heartbreaking sonatas, and Mei gets to obliterate the dance floor and sing her heart out.
They win, and Wukong takes them in as his apprentices.
After “A Hero is Born” everything pretty much lines up with Cannon for the main squad and the smaller antagonists; but instead of fighting and monkey magic shenanigans, it's concerts and dance battles and E-Tuber shenanigans.
Things get really different around The Bone Zone (I love writing).
This worlds Lady Bone Demon, Laura Demona, went missing without a trace 9 years ago. Her child, Laudia Demona, going by Malin Meister in the present day, has been investigating her disappearance ever since they were old enough to leave the house unsupervised.
With the help of their platonic life partner and basically minion, Milton, they build an E-Tuber empire big enough to fund their quest. Some strong leads they gained, some time before “A Hero is Born”, trace back to Sun Wukong; who was not only present on the set their mother disappeared from, but famously one of her Bitter Rivals.
The two competed for a lot of shows and positions in their early days, settling into badmouthing each other on screen later on, and only mellowing out a handful of years before The Incident.
Sun Wukong's competition was Malin's chance to get close to him, but “The Monkie Kidz” were simply too good to beat. Malin wouldn't let this deter them, descending into a mad spiral of plotting and scheming. Their progress would only be interrupted by an unusually familiar looking eldritch stranger (The Mayor) dropping in, chasing them and Milton around the city, bullying his way into their homes and lives, and changing the course of their destiny for years to come.
The groups don't really converge until “Revenge of the Spider Queen”, or the “lunar New Year music deathmatch tournament” as we call it here.
Over the course of the first season Malin hatches a plan around the tournament, setting up a series of Rube Goldberg like events that will result in them meeting with Sun Wukong.
In the post I linked above, I confirmed that this would have ended in the downfall of Malin. These events would have pushed them firmly into villainy, and villains are always fated to loose.
The Mayor did not know this. When he told Malin what happened in his world, compared it to the events that have been occuring in theirs, and left them to connect the downfall of his lady to their future, he expected them to turn to him for help.
He made sure to demonstrate his magical and strategic prowess to them at every opportunity, to establish his presence as a sturdy and dangerous weapon to lean on. He felt echos of his Lady's power grow within them each day, to awaken it would be his pleasure. Crushing these mortal versions of their enemies would make a good warmup for his Meister, they would need much training before he dragged them back to his world. A concrete goal would do them nicely.
What he didn't expect was for them to call everything off and lock themselves in their plan closet for a solid week.
Malin, high on a rush of panic and inspiration, decided to spit into the eyes of fate. If this was happening in other universes, if other versions of their mother and products of her legacy were fighting and dying to these same people, if this was a pattern? They would do everything in their power to break it.
A week later they step out of their closet, coming upon the faces of a worried Milton and a confused Mayor, and stating their new approach with a will of iron and a voice of steel:
“We're going to make some new friends.”
And this marks the start of the “How to become a protagonist in 10 easy steps.” Arc
I kind of want to focus on the “Malin tries their best to be normal around new people” aspect of the story right now, so most of the work you see on this blog will probably be from season 2 and onwards.
I've got big plans for the magic in the future. Everything's going to be pretty modern and magic free up to a point, then the meteor will hit and plunge the world into a new age of magic and demons and tasty tasty chaos. I kind of want to link Laura's “death” to the meteor too. line it up with some multiverse shenanigans I wrote out.
I'm thinking about it in four slices.
The first slice is the “Canon compliant Zone”, that's the bit I just described.
The second slice will be “how to become a protagonist in 10 easy steps”, which is what I'm working on right now.
The third slice will be “The meteor fucks everything up, nobody is happy about this.”, which will be easier to write once I establish the first two slices.
And the fourth is “Multiverse bullshit”, which is when the real fun will begin.

School's In Session; Prep for Cold Weather
I've been doing a lot of PvP on Dark and Aeryn this week. Anyroad.
Scholarch Montichaigne's lecture on aether is impressive (and rewatchable in the Unending Journey). Some of it is information we knew before, thanks to the Shadowbringers story through its patches, but it's good to get the refresher on the different kinds of aether that make a person. Also his explanation of memory and magical effects not only explains the Forum's self-administered spell restriction, but also later the pivotal events in Elpis.
Not to mention the honestly impressive conjuration of the paper, pen, paintbrush, and inkwell, and their manipulation. He's showing off for his impromptu class, made of his friends' grandchildren and this weird Eorzean adventurer. It's all in fun...but also a not-so-subtle reminder of just how adept the Scholarch is, and he's but one member of the Forum.
Our understanding of the Lifestream and souls and memory modification refreshed and better explained, we're off to Limsa to meet the trio of badass ladies who run the Alliance.
Seriously one of the things that struck me on first playing this game back in ARR was during the patches and seeing them in a room together, and realizing Eorzea is entirely run by 3 very different women. The men came later. After years in other MMOs with even shoddier track records when it comes to women characters, it was a Thing. While FFXIV isn't always great, the treatments of their leaders has been far more consistent than some.
*stares into the middle distance in Azerothian for awhile*
Before heading to Limsa, I did some of the sidequests that pop up around the Studium. Alisaie's admirer with the mammet, the Forum robes quest (C'oretta in Forum robes is someone's nightmare I'm sure; hers is the bland color scheme), some pretentious tutors, a few wayward books, and of course the beavers. Which gets an accompany quest.
Now that that horror is out of the way...for now....
The WoL declaring their reason for the Scions joining the Ilsabard Contingent gets us another rousing "Heroes Forge Ahead." This scene is also not voiced despite its importance, nor the next one with meeting Raubahn, Aymeric, Gaius, and Maxima in Ala Mhigo. This quest, "A Capital Idea," isn't replayable in the Unending Journey at all; it skips from "Sound the Bell, School's In" to "Best of the Best."
And the men waiting in Ala Mhigo reiterate their dedication to keeping Eorzea safe in the Scions' absence, though also caution the Contingent and its humanitarian goals were not entirely popular in the realm. Still, we're a long way from the city-states' reliance on the Scions for...everything.
Gaius having to stay behind is an obviously painful choice for him and it irks me they brought him back just to stick him in mediocre optional content while sidelining him (so far) despite Garlemald. Though there's strong points about why it's a bad idea for him to go, and gives Maxima time to shine as Lucia's second.
The Ilsabard Contingent Intro is a great scene, one of the rewards for a player who's completed optional content. Emmanellain's fully cringey and cringing here; honestly, this is not his forte and trying to constantly force him into a warrior's role is the worst idea. Also, he doesn't have Honoroit to balance him out.
I do enjoy the moment of Scion levity, as Alisaie nearly gets to watch Y'shtola murder Thancred and Urianger. You know she'd take notes.
Tumblr media
Y'shtola: In the meantime, I have a bone to pick with Thancred and Urianger regarding their wagging tongues…
Run, boys! (It won't help)
We also get another of Temulun Mol's prophecies, delivered by Cirina:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Cirina: Two suns─one burning red, the other frozen black. Closer they circled, closer and closer, and as they danced the world fell to ruin. In blinding chaos she spied blackened silhouettes, and knew at once that one was yours. Cirina: Yet we knew not how to interpret this dream, save as a sign that great danger awaits. But whatever lies ahead, I will walk with you, traveler.
ThisIsFine.jpeg.
Handing out the Warding Scales and wow, A-Rhun's dialogue is radically different for a White Mage vs a Non-WHM. Everyone else is mostly the same, though you have far more people to speak to depending on how many job quests are completed, and if Bozja is also unlocked/completed.
A few more reminders of the cold, and just as the fashion-conscious Scions debate what to do to avoid wearing the fugly GC overcoats, Tataru arrives with her new Look and their cold weather gear. Also word that the long-forgotten Scion Roegadyns have returned to handle the Rising Stones, so she will go to Sharlayan to help Krile.
Seriously, as a Roe player, I thought the devs had forgotten Aergmhus and Bluomwyda, last seen after the Crystal Braves fiasco in Heavensward. Then they got a brief mention in 5.55, and now mentioned here. Returning to the Rising Stones from Ala Mhigo, the duo is indeed present, and the only ones in the Scion HQ as everyone else is dealing with the Towers and helping the realm. They've apparently been answering to Riol the whole time:
Bluomwyda: It's been quite some time, hasn't it? As I recall, Ishgard was still at war with Nidhogg's brood when last we spoke. I hear the dragoon from those days is a Scion now. Bluomwyda: As for Aergmhus and I, we recently returned from a mission in the provinces, where we built up an information network at Riol's behest. The man's a tyrant─had us working every waking moment. Bluomwyda: Anyroad, the two of us have been tasked with keeping watch over the Rising Stones, but I'm keeping a closer watch on Aergmhus and his alcohol intake. Last thing I need is for the man to be in a drunken stupor when trouble comes our way.
Aergmhus: Well, if it isn't Mistress [Surname]! Long has it been since we last met, but surely you haven't forgotten, have you? 'Tis I, Aergmhus─formerly of the Maelstrom and the Crystal Braves! Aergmhus: Upon returning from my mission abroad, Tataru called me to the Rising Stones and asked me to “prepare for the worst.” And though the worst has yet to come, I must abstain from indulging in a glass of wine until after it's passed.
Next up: Garlemald!

Okay, here are the few questions I have for your latest emoji asking...
1.💥
2.🏷️
3.🥳
4.🎬 Especially the casting of Phantom(Mingling)
-honestly, I thought she was a lot similar to Bellatrix Lestrange...so the same actor would be a good cast?
I also had a question about the relationships (cough romantic cough ..) between the characters. But decided to ask later because It would be too long. So, would it be okay for you if I ask about them seperately later?
Also P.S: If you have any questions or things curious about me ...feel free to ask!
💥 What is one canon thing that you wish you could change?
If I could change one thing for the canon, I would like something that the third movie could have done better, the way I hear most pandoms used to enjoy, but did later find the plot a bit rushed and had the film become light rather than too dark like KFP 2 did. What I wished to play out in the story was to expand Kai's background story.
Listen. We all know Oogway's story of how he met his yak brother in the war 500 years ago; the two brothers became the most badass warlords who fought battles and bonded their armies together until Kai turned back against him because of Oogway's change and his chi power, he claimed souls for strength, went too close to the sun.
Tumblr media
Kai did say to the Jade Palace masters that he loved Oogway like a brother, and he betrayed him. If there's something that the plothole needs to fill, I want to know why did Oogway betray him for? There must be a reason that caused their brotherhood/friendship to fragment during their warlord days before Kai turned evil, and I want to know more!
Tumblr media
I wish there was more to reveal that Kai discovered something to steal their chi. And. . . hear me on this one. . .
Kai's jombies steal masters, one by one. 95 minutes weren't enough, and I prefer to have around 2hrs and 30mins, maybe closer to 3hrs (if you are Peter Jackson or Zack Snyder), because the Dragon Warrior is dealing with the unknown beast from the Spirit Realm who took his friends, and his family, building several tensions with a few twists and turns before Po can discover what he can do to defeat Kai the hard way.
Tumblr media
There are plenty of fic stories that feature Kai (including mine, too!) and a comic I found. Those books introduce Kai and Oogway during their warlord days and have background stories. I'll reblog with links, and @amateraponzu 's comic fic Wish Upon the Stars on Tumblr.
🏷 (hopefully, this is the tag emote I found) Is there a tag you like to search for when looking for fanfics to read?
Not really. I have yet to search for any fics to catch my eye; I would like to read anything interesting from old fics when I was stuck writing my fanfic series. But of course, reminding me of the tags (stories), I need to catch up with other fics, like @shootbangdang 's The Vale, @mastrrt 's To the Weeping River, and Drags's Mongol fic Winds of Change. All three fics are from FanFiction, and they are worth timing to read!
(Drags! You are the stupendous author, and I must say your fic is well written to see Po, Tigress, and Crane head to Mongolia and grab the secret weapon before anyone gets it! The characters (your OCs too), action scenes, your writing, my lord!)
While I am having a break from writing a sequel book for now, only to start editing my two novels, I highly recommend reading Drags's fic first, Righteous Flame. That goes for all pandoms! His book is stellar.
🥳 Why did you start writing fanfic?
There are reasons why I started a fic. I wanted to start writing because it's part of my hobby. Not only a hobby that I would like to be an author of someday (if I could make my own Narnia/Lord of the Rings/Game of Thrones worldbuilding with my polar bear character), I write for those who I love and friendships irl. Friends of mine who I am with from high school and Wing Chun class, and families of mine who I grew up with and raised together.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
My first book had me write for my mates and my master from the Wing Chun class. Dedicated to building a kung fu panda fic after I watched KFP 3, I started writing for my real-life companions. It was a rough start to begin there without planning to build a structure (yeah, I was a noob writer), but I could have created layers before I must write. Two years later, I knew where to end my first book. And later on, worldbuilding is the most challenging one for my fic series.
Not a simple task for my fic to name cities, countries, etc., but I'll leave notes on what places have instead of losing puzzle pieces. And trust me, when you plan to write a giant fic, make a plan, build structures with one stone at a time, create vivid characters, and develop tensions. All books should have conflicts featuring a hero and villain. Make your villains play an unfair game! Make your hero's journey and have his struggles to see challenges before achieving success!
Writing is not easy. And it still feels like it, but it rewards you for accomplishments. Even when you finish the book, always edit your first drafts, build some details, and fill in plotholes.
🎬 If a movie or a show were based on your fic, which fic you'd you choose, and who would you fan cast?
A show can be promising for the Mightiest Warriors Series because there are depths and interesting characters to know more about. A movie makes it simple around 2 to 3 hours (depending) for the story, but it might have a few plotholes if my fanfic series would be based on.
Now, I like how you picked my most menacing villain, Mingling. She deserves to have an actress voicing the black bear. Her personality blends with three major characters that I was inspired by, making the most dangerous antagonist so far.
The Wicked Witch of the West (Wizard of Oz)
Tumblr media
Marisa Coulter (His Dark Materials)
Tumblr media
Cersei Lannister (Game of Thrones)
Tumblr media
*Now I like what you first thought of Bellatrix Lestrange from Harry Potter, so that's a huge BONUS for my wildest child because Mingling fits in insanity!*
Tumblr media
Ahem! How will I like to pick the actress? Her character's favorite color is purple (more like a royal, but I prefer her to go aggressive and extremely menacing, like Lord Shen), so my top picks are. . .
Lena Headey (Cersei Lannister). She can play out the gruesome character who cares for ruling and satisfaction to attempt to succeed in her vengeance. Compared to what she becomes lethal, Cersei loves her brother. No one else but him. With that sibling relationship, I think of Mingling fonding my bovine character Huoju. Lena Headey can play out her villainous role.
Tumblr media
Ruth Wilson (Marisa Coulter). Oh my!!! If you have seen her in the show His Dark Materials (based on the trilogy novel), please. . . do not test her! Knowing what she does to love her daughter but lacks her parental type, she's brilliant, ruthless, and daring. Bringing Ruth in will fill my bear's affection for Mingling's only mate Huoju, and to be frank, like I mentioned the bear's revenge, she will not be stopped, despite her hostility and anger did startle a few characters of mine.
Tumblr media
Just look at her! Ain't she a beauty? Now, look how gruesome she can be in the show. . .
Tumblr media
Despite how serious Ruth Wilson's character is in His Dark Materials, oh boy!! Imagine you are a child, and you see Mrs. Coulter's smile and fierce eyes; she looks right at you before she can scare you. As I said, please, for the love of the heavens, do not test her! Ruth Wilson is perfect for a villain role!
Tumblr media
PHEW! Lots of questions I answered. Thank you for these emotes, Righteous Flames! I'll be back for some fic links whenever I tag you!

Please info dump about Radiant Sun, I don't know what this is but it sounds fascinating and we're overdue for a new obsession
OK SO. FIRST OF ALL IM SO SORRY ITS NOT REAL. YOU CANT WATCH IT. :(((( It's a dnd campaign we played with our wife. SOMEDAY we might make it a show. Depending on how things go. BUT.
The Radiant Sun is the name of a D&D party in a home game we did. It consists of 6 people (as well as 40+ npcs) who are all batshit insane.
PARTY MEMBERS:
- Razor. The "main character" if a DnD campaign has one. Tiefling sorcerer who finds out later that he is secretly a member of the royal family and has special magic powers. MORE ON THAT LATER.
- Verona. Razor's bf who grew up as a captive in the same thieves' guild he was a captive in. They were friends since they were kids. She activated her own sorcerer magic (Divine Soul) and healed him when he got fucked up and tortured. She dies at one point early in the game and it is a catalyst for some Character Growth.
- Alixa. Batshit crazy 15yr old drow who was a custom homebrew class (knife artist, think rogue aesthetic but the whole point is doing cool shit w daggers). One of the central Problems in the world the campaign is set in is that there is a massive attempt by high elves to colonize the Underdark. She is the only survivor of her family who was killed/driven out. THIS WAR IS IMPORTANT BUT NOT FOR THE REASONS YOU THINK. Also she gets a giant pet lizard that can breathe fire. His name is Sparky.
- Avaciel. Former high elf noble who was cast out of her home city after it was taken over by Drow that wanted to find footing in noble cities to make the monarchy pay for the war/colonization effort. Became a bard who plays the violin like a badass.
- Shade. Shade is a demigod of The Shadow, one of the dark six in some dnd related pantheon that I don't remember the name of. She was created by that asshole as a failsafe measure in case her "dad" was ever slain by other gods, he set up his soul and powers to transfer into her body and planned to possess her and use her for his own purposes. She meets a demigod of another one of the dark six and eventually finds out that NEITHER of them are actually the kids of their "parents" they're actually kids of a DIFFERENT god and they're twins <3
- Aiyise. Personality and backstory wise a Straight Rip from another campaign we did but we wanted to fuck around with her so we gave her some totally different plot stuff and made her a cleric instead of a divine soul sorcerer. From a noble family who she believes to be great people until she gets un-modify-memory'd and finds out that they were actually horrible to her for her whole life and before she went out to adventure they wiped her brain. She is the tankiest motherfucker EVER. She's also the most uwu soft girl you will Ever meet.
PLOT STUFF.
Originally the party is called together by the Chamberlain of House Satra. House Satra is the ruling family over the continent the story takes place in. One of their daughters, Kyria, has gone missing! Oh No!! Party is told that several groups of adventurers have gone to find her and have all gone missing. They're a last ditch effort.
Notably. These kids are like 17 at oldest. Except for Shade who is weird and Avaciel who is like 23.
They do it anyway bc they are BROKE AS FUCK!!!!! And are promised lots of shiny money. And thus their adventures begin. They find Kyria, adopt her into the party, meet her "dad" (the "king" who is actually super super trans), are rewarded, and then are asked by the queen to go investigate a city that her brother is being held in for crimes she knows he didn't commit. Political bullshit. Whatever. These kids are incredibly hyped bc since all the official adventurers super died they have been appointed the Interim Defenders Of Toris TM. They feel all special. So they go.
While they are on the way, they are attacked by a Solar, a high angel of the Shadow who has been sent to retrieve Shade. Shade is not there when this happens so naturally the party, who have all known each other for like A Week, tell the solar that she's not there and they won't tell him where she is. So he tries to kill them all! And ends up killing Verona. Which makes Razor, understandably bc she is his not-quite-gf-but-hes-in-love-with-her, BIG MAD. They kill this asshole (Alixa is doing some insane called-shot/homebrew rules bullshit) and find out that these angels (because they are CR TWENTY ONE. AND RHE PARTY IS LEVEL FOUR.) are super powerful and drop super rare items. Including resurrection materials! So they continue their quest to their destination knowing that it's a big city and clerics can maybe help.
Other stuff happens in the interim BUT!
While they are in Faultline (the city) they find out Lots Of Insane Shit. Most notably, they find out that these things called the Draconic Eternals, basically giant ancient dragons that were sealed in a demiplane thousands of years ago, are still alive and trying to break out!!! They find out that there's a guy in the city who framed the queen's brother for killing a revolutionary who was actually his girlfriend so that he could get power over the city. The party subsequently kicks his ass and leaves the power in the hands of the revolutionary (who is not dead!!!) and her sister. Mostly her sister tho. Bc the revolutionary is busy kissing her fiance.
They go back and there's a big dance thing and Verona and Razor and Kyria see the "king" sneaking off somewhere with the chamberlain and decide to investigate. They follow them to a secret chamber and have the most insane series of stealth check rolls EVER and find out that. Uh. The king is working with the dragons. And killed his son, the prince, in order to help them break out. Because his son, you see, has this thing called the Soulscar. It's basically raw magic but super upgraded and powerful. And the only other person alive in the family line with the soulscar is mia and presumed never to return, and the soulscar is the only thing that could keep the dragons from coming back, sooooo they kill the kid! Kyria, notably, is Fucked Up about this bc that was Her Twin Brother.
You see where this is going from my character descriptions.
ANYWAY. After that horrible revelation they go back downstairs only to find that the oldest child of the royal family accidentally got Wish spelled into being like 16 and it can't be undone so she can't really be elected the next replacement for the king like the whole country was planning to do bc. Yknow. War Effort. And ALSO Avaciel's city's destroyer family is here. Or at least their son who she was supposed to marry is. And they are both super upset abt it!!! Because he's the only reason she's alive!!!! So Why Is He Here!!!!!!!
Their next quest is to go reclaim Avaciel's home city. Which they do. And then they go back to the main city.
And they play a game. With all their collected npc friends. Kind of like an icebreaker game. It's a staple of our campaigns tbh.
In that game, one of Razor's friends/the guy who watched over him and Verona at the thieves' guild, Hawke (who is also super a trans woman), is invited to play. And through a series of increasingly convoluted questions and a use of the Divination spell cast by Aiyise in order to find out what happened to Kyria's brother that was supposed to have died..... The Truth Comes Out. Razor is that kid. He was not killed. The king and his brother, the other person with the soulscar, created a plan that faked his death and saved his life but made him unfindable and hid him somewhere no one would ever look. And Hawke!!!! Is that "brother"!!!! And worked at the thieves' guild the whole time to take care of him!!!!!! AAAGHGHGH. Our entire party went INSANE when this was happening. It was crazy. So much shit made sense after that.
So Razor, now knowing everything, is taken to properly meet his family. He meets his actual parents in the context of being their kid. He finds out that they've saved presents for him for every birthday, memoirs, letters written to him etc in case he ever got to come home. Lots of tears etc.
And the "king" tells them about the dragon thing.
It turns out the draconic eternals have held blackmail over his head for like 3 decades. Just before the family's oldest kid was born they contacted him from their demiplane and said "if you do what we tell you we will wait until your family has died naturally before we descend upon your world and kill everybody. Otherwise we're doing it in like a decade lmao" and he, convinced he could find another solution with enough time, agreed to do what they said. And then they made him "kill" Razor (birth name Kyus) and he faked his son's death bc he couldn't make himself do it. He started the war at the dragons' bidding because he needed time to find a way to save the Entire World. And he didn't have that time without doing some genuinely horrible things. So he did them, and accepted that the world would hate him for it. Because he was protecting them from something much worse.
Then the "king" who I am now going to refer to as the queen bc she's trans and I feel bad decides that she is going to go against them. She can't do it anymore. So she arranges for a royal announcement to be made. She is gonna tell everyone about her son, about the dragons, about everything, and they will go from there.
Razor has known his family for like a day and a half btw. And he's about to be presented as a prince. And he doesn't want to go back to looking like he's "supposed" to. Which his family is fine with!!! But the kingdom maybe will not be. He doesn't do it anyway tho.
During that speech, the capital city is sieged by an assortment of "undesirable" races (orcs, drow, goblins, giants, etc) led by a tiefling who is so so so mad at the royal family and doesn't care what their excuse is. Uh oh! Razor recognizes him!! He knew him from the thieves' guild!
That's not important right now. What IS important is that he magically turns Razor's entire new family to stone and then drags them through a portal to God Knows Where. And Leaves.
And Razor jumps through after him. No time for the rest of the party to go.
He chases the guy with every ounce of his magic through an entire giant stronghold. And eventually he escapes. And Razor is So Mad.
He goes through an Arc Of Growth tm where he meets the giants' main god and is given a magical item that he will need to seal away the draconic eternals. There are 7 of those. The party already knows about one??? I think??? I deadass don't remember the timeframe on this. But they need to find all of them.
(Also at some point they find out one of the dragons didn't actually get sealed away bc he betrayed the other ones and he agrees to help them but that was an in between thing)
ANYWAY. Eventually Razor is reunited with the party and they go deal with All Of Those Guys' Bases. At one point in that whole thing Alixa finds out that she was chosen by one of the drow gods (NOT lolth) to be her champion and gets given a few bits of paladin magic as a treat. And also one of the important magic items!!!
They eventually stop all the guys and talk their leader down bc Razor and him used to be Buddies tm. And they get him to stop being Insane. And fix his family. And his family is back!!! But when they get back to the capital city they have to deal with the fact that the thieves' guild has taken over bc nobody was there to stop them. And Razor and Verona have TRAUMA tm around those guys. Esp Razor bc their leader tortured him because he knew something about Razor's magic (could see the soulscar via true sight) but Razor didn't know at the time so he just got beat up a bunch.
They fight them!! And win!!! Eventually!!!!!! And the city is (mostly) restored.
The party has a lot of stuff to do. At varying points, they are required to stop THREE separate apocalypses. An apocalypse based on the ancient elemental beings that a cult led by people including Aiyise's fucked up family are trying to resurrect almost happens but some of the party and friends (including Aiyise and her two besties from childhood) stop it. That arc includes a genius 15 year old basically inventing unsterilized open heart surgery on top of a mountain to save the kids of the crazy cleansing cult guys bc they had magical chips inserted into their hearts that had to be destroyed before they could kill the cultists. Necessity my beloved. <3
Eventually the Final Battle comes. The party fights its way through each Draconic Eternal in groups, boosted by the power of like 4 different gods. At the same time, 4/6 members of the Dark Six god group are trying to end the world in a different separate way than the dragons. So they have to fight 4 gods and like 12 fucked up evil dragons that are like ancient dragons dialed up to 15. But they have crazy magic items and are level 20 and have the blessing of, again, like 4 different gods. So they do it.
Holy shit. It's done. The Radiant Sun has just collectively stopped a triple apocalypse. Razor gets to be with his family, Verona gets to marry her bf, Avaciel goes home and rules over her city, Aiyise and her partners start patching up the damage done to their religion by training a new not crazy generation of clerics and paladins, Alixa gets to work as Eilistraee's champion, and Shade and her twin brother take over the roles of The Shadow and The Fury, their "parents" who aren't actually their parents. So they are gods now.
Everybody lives happily ever after.
For now...?
I'm sure there's a million other things to say abt them and I did NOT give the full details of every quest bc this was meant to be the overarching plot line so if you wanna hear anything abt specific people's personal arcs or anything I will answer all your questions ever. There is a chance that someday this post will be deleted off the internet because maybe this will be an Actual Animated Series someday and yknow. I dont want my whole plot online for everyone to see. But who knows!
Thank you so much for letting me infodump <3 ilysm

anger, shaved ice, sun, seedling, milky way, baby bottle, red heart for darling Jia!
I'm sorry for only giving the names, I am literally so bad at searching for emojis :))))
Thank you so much for asking, dearest! 🥰 (If someone's interested in the ask game is this one!)
💢 ANGER - what are some habits they have that will take some getting used to?
I think the thing Jia does, and it may get annoying for others, is some obsessive-compulsive rituals that she has, concerning her personal belongings (poor Lydia and Gregor, who live with her in Heljarchen Hall, are doomed to get along with those). For example, she needs her books positioned on her bookshelves strictly by height; she needs her ingredients placed in specific jars and satchels depending on their properties, not to mention her enchanting tower in which she keeps her soul gems on her shelves in a distinct ranking from left to right (from petty to grand soul gems). She is rather hot-tempered and impatient in general, but when someone messes with how she sets her things down and her OCD, she gets genuinely anxious and nervous about it.
🍧 SHAVED ICE - do they still have any objects from their childhood? what significance does it have to them? what would their reaction be if they lost it?
Jia's most prized possession from her childhood is a woolen blanket that has a growing crescent as a golden and silver-stitched embroidery. This blanket was sewn by Jia's mother when she was pregnant with Jia, and its needlework is not at all random. The crescent is Miraak's and Jia's symbol, in which the sun is Jia while the moon is Miraak, and joined together, the growing crescent embodies the First and Last's union on Nirn. She carries this blanket all her life, and she doesn't give it to anyone as it's the only thing she has from her mother, so I can't even imagine how it would be if she'd lose it...
🌱 SEEDLING - what is their most vivid memory from childhood?
I think the most vivid memory from her childhood is her training lessons with the twins and Aela, and later their hunting together (I will describe both of them in detail in the fic). Little Jia was not into the Nordic way of fighting; she preferred studying, cooking, and plucking alchemy ingredients, mixing them all in her cauldron, and practicing alchemy (I would even say that she inherited more of her father's interests than her mother's). So, Vilkas, Farkas, and Aela, as passionate Nordic warriors, practically forced her to train with them - and despite this being a complete nuisance for Jia, she ended up loving their sparring classes - Aela trained her with the bow and shield and was a very stern teacher with Jia's errors, while Vilkas and especially Farkas were way softer with her, and they trained her with the sword!  🌌 MILKY WAY - what was the inspiration behind your oc? what was the first thing you decided about them?
Oooh, good question, let me think... Well, Jia was born in my mind at the end of the previous February when I began playing Skyrim again, making a new LDB. And as I thoroughly customized my new character, I somehow made her look both like Nord and Imperial, so I went along with her mixed-blooded origins and started to slowly build her background. The name 'Jia' was inspired by a character in the series 'Euphoria' I used to watch back then, which had the name 'Gia', and it's actually quite close to my own name, hehe. The first first first things I decided about Jia were that she will be Miraak's soulmate and that she will have golden eyes.
🍼 BABY BOTTLE - what are their thoughts on children?
AH, EXCELLENT QUESTION! Jia loves children!!! She adores them with all her heart - their innocence, their jolliness, their inquisitiveness, everything about children makes her beam whole. She would definitely adopt if she was not a Dragonborn, but she has this constant fear that her perilous lifestyle full of enemies and dangers, will put her life or the child's at risk, and she doesn't want to do more harm than good to their soul. She does want to build her own family, and she does want to be a mother though... We shall see if she manages to achieve it someday! 🥰
❤️ RED HEART - their love language(s)?
Unfortunately, Jia isn't very good at expressing her feelings with words (you could say that she suffers from alexithymia), so her love language is mostly practical, offering small or bigger gifts to her close ones. BUT, in some circumstances, when the emotion overwhelms her, and she feels intimate enough, her love is shown through hugs (she is a huge hugger with the ones she holds dear, despite being quite wary of physical contact), and caresses, and she can be truly tender and loving to the person she gives affection to, whether this is Miraak or a friend or a family member!

can you elaborate on your lantern dnd class?? sounds intriguing
:DDD i most definitely can!
as a quick note: while this class is stable in combat, and was made with a close attention to numbers (ty anna, queen of mechanics), this is not a professional class and so the balance is almost certainly off and i know this--it's a fun class to play in a series of interconnected one-shots. also, not something to try at home unless you and your dm have a good grasp of mechanics; we did not make this up arbitrarily and it does take a solid amount of work to execute it.
under the cut bc i am delightedly rambling.
some backstory for the class: anna & i have created a shared dnd world that plays both with the established setting of 5e and a lot of our own, personal lore (the document is....horrifyingly long). one of the concepts that anna created was that of a divine city--a city that embodied, however we chose to interpret that, its god. there are 7; 5 official and 2 unofficial. of those, one of them is emporia.
emporia was my own creation, one of the unofficial divine cities. it is essentially a city where gods go to not die; a city where worshippers and wanderers and wonderers congregate; a city of wreckage and rubble built into something new and mostly alive and only somewhat dead.
it is embodied in the lanterned god (also known as the lighted king, the shopkeeper, god-guarder, he that gathers prayers, the undying wick). the lanterned god stores every god that comes into emporia in a lantern in his shop and keeps watch over them. this is not great for many of the gods! they would like to Live and to live means to be Worshipped and they cannot do that when the latnerned god is keeping them close and fast. (he is not a particularly kind god. covetous, though? oh yes.)
in canon, my pc, ori, apprentice to this god, crept into his shop one night and stole away 7 gods to place back into the world. thus the name. she is the only one of her class, and the first.
anyways!
mechanically, the lantern-bearer is based on a monk class (specifically way of the sun soul). so that's how you get your base stats + access to armored defense + extra attack abilities beginning at 5th level. we also gave ori light bolt (her staff is where she equips lanterns and is her only melee attack weapon). spellcaster rules do apply: you can't cast twice. because her gods are always with her, we also drew from the path of the ancestors barbarian subclass. this gives access to spirit shield, consult the gods, divine intervention*, and vengeful gods at higher levels.
*fun fact about divine intervention: as it is a d8, each slot is corresponded to one of the 7 gods ori stole, and the 8th is tied to the lanterned god himself. when a god is placed, the slot corresponding to them becomes vacant; essentially, the more ori does her job, the harder this feature is to use successfully.
so monk base, ancestors flavoring. for spells, though, it's pure cleric. ori is *not*, to be clear, a cleric to the gods she carries; if anything, she would be one for the lanterned god, as he is the only god she truly worships.
while she has a god equipped, she has access to their domain spell lists--not *cleric* spells, only the ones that are tied to their domain. she can only have one god equipped at a time, and can only change gods 3-4 times per long rest. changing gods (and, thus, domains) is a bonus action. i had gods from the tempest, grave, twilight, nature, trickery, and life domains, but that can differ. she also is granted divine strike when fighting with her staff and access to channel divinity (radiance of the lantern).
this class, while very powerful at lower-levels, is actually designed with a major handicap in terms of character progression! as you place gods out, you lose access to their slots--thus, the higher level you get, the *less* you have to work with (if you're doing your job right). ori has currently placed out 3 gods, leaving her down her most powerful damage domain (tempest) and a good supporting domain (grave). (first god was placed prior to campaign start and thus has no assigned domain.)
it's wildly fun to play and so heavily rooted in in-game lore and worldbuilding that it is 100% up my alley.
this is a brief overview, and i am more than happy to talk about the class more! i'm very fond of ori and the world she inhabits.

i really suck at functioning in society. i have awkward silences with my frens now. sometimes even my s/o. and there's so much i wanna tell them. but idk how to. i feel awkward with strangers. i have limited frens. and idk how to make more. even when im close proximity with more ppl. we could probably talk and get somewhere. how do we start. what do i say. they most likely think im a pathetic loner and don't wanna interact. and if i put in efforts, i probably come off as desperate. but what if they seem to not really not be bothered by me. then i over share and embarrass myself. im so boring. i bring up weather and boring college talks. cos the other alternative is my internal monologue. and that's worse.
anyway. i used to think the extrovert adopting introvert wasn't me. now i think it is. cos i dont remember the last time i made a fren

yeaaa i had the same reaction when i first discovered the word
my mind somehow interpreted it as 'longing for the soul to come home' or 'homesickness for the soul' and... adopted it!

Poem: The Fox's Affection
This poem was specifically written for a side-challenge of the event, where we were encouraged to make an offering to Gumiho in the form of a piece of art. The nine-tailed fox drawing I made was paired with this one. This poem also netted me the win for this challenge, which I am very proud of!
The Fox’s Affection
Her eyes reflect the sky’s and seas’ blues,
Her fur’s a great many red and yellow hues.
She decorates herself with gold jewellery bright,
Though her fox marble she keeps safe inside,
Yet from the public her splendid self she does not hide
For the sight of people brings her ample delight.
Her tails look soft-
Her claws are sheathed-
Her tails look soft, but you best not touch.
Her claws are sheathed, but she can still scratch.
With her coat touched by the sun,
She prances around having her fun.
Peaches are her most favourite of all time,
As sure as the number of her tails is nine.
A nine-tailed fox once a cub has not forgotten her roots.
Under her soft gaze little foxes play in the woods.
At the bundles of fur quietly she coos,
Every foolish predator away she shoos.
Early spring brings a new begin’,
Little cubs fill the dens to the brim.
This family of foxes, are they her true kin?
It does not matter, filial piety to all she will bring.
There behind branches and leaves,
Hidden where precious life grows,
Where no human is dropping eaves,
Her true heart and temper she shows.
This kind yao, her we now beseech.
A vixen people can no longer relegate to infamy,
For who cannot relate to the love for one’s family.
The little red fox, gift her a peach!
Don’t expect much in return just do her this kindness,
For a happy little fox is a sight that can cure blindness.
So let’s get into the analysis for this really long poem!
The title becomes self-explanatory around the midpoint. The ‘affection’ is referring to Gumiho’s love for peaches and her kin with a little bit of her people watching hobby sprinkled in for good measure. It is intentionally misleading and meant to make the reader think it will be about a lover when it is about family. (Intentional on my part at least. On my character’s though? Not so much, in world it is just an amusing little coincidence.)
This time the number of stanzas and verses has little meaning except that seven can be a good number for relationships in Chinese numerology. That the first and last stanza each having six verses while the remaining ones only have four merely has an aesthetically value.
With how long this poem is there are basically two parts to it. The first part focuses on Gumiho’s appearance, identity as a yaoguai and apparent personality. Meanwhile the second one revolves around her past and love for her fellow foxes as well as her softer side. Of course I am also referencing her visiting the woods to see the foxes living there.
The fox marble or fox bead of a gumiho is said to consist of knowledge and the gumiho usually keeps it inside of her. It can be used by her to steal a human’s soul and is very valuable to the gumiho as it is providing her with power. If a human manages to swallow it they will gain special abilities/preternatural knowledge if they manage to observe the sky, the land and the people.
There is a bit of a parallel at the end of the first and last stanza with the reference to watching a creature bringing the observer joy, showing in a more subtle way that the yaoguai in question and humans are not so different in what can make them happy.
Now let me share with you a rejected verse that would have gone into the first stanza right after the jewellery verse: ‘Glistening under her fox fire’s light.’ I ultimately decided to take this one out for two reasons. Both because I wanted to keep the number of verses even for the flow and because I was not sure if fox fire is even a part of her set of powers as that is an ability more in line with kitsune rather than gumiho.
In the second stanza consist once more of two pairs of verses in line with a classic Chinese style of poetry. One of these will likely show up in most poems of mine as I really enjoy this style personally. Either way the topic of her tails and claws is connected to her fur and jewellery mentioned in the first stanza. It is the fur of her tails that is soft and she wears golden nail guards matching her gold jewellery. Additionally ‘touch’ and ‘scratch’ both refer to a manner of physical interaction and are mentioned in succession as the first action described would result in the second.
The following stanza not only addresses her personality, but also acts as a transition to the second part of the poem starting on what she likes to do. The line about Gumiho’s coat being touched by the sun has a dual meaning here. For one it is the colouration of course, but it can also refer to her playing in the sun and enjoying its warmth similarly how foxes like to do.
The next two stanzas are a pair, the first one focusing on the cubs and the second one bringing up the parents with both being about her familial connection to foxes. Both also carry the same rhyme scheme.
The sixth stanza mostly came about because I wanted to implement a cross rhyme as well and not just couplet and mono rhymes and evolved further meaning. Branches and leaves of a tree are often used allegorically for family trees not to mention that they are living plants as well, so they are equally symbolic of the growing nature, growing cubs and growing fox families.
There is also a slight juxtaposition of the outer world revolving around nature and animals like these foxes and the inner world of here specifically Gumiho. This is also mirrored in the mention of humans who are heavily focused on the mind so the inner world, something that Gumiho has achieved through cultivating into sapience as well, while the outer world is more focused on the body.
Additionally in the first and last verse two things are mentioned each with ‘branches and leaves’ and ‘heart and temper’, while ‘where’ is present both in the second and third. The cross rhyme also shows how intertwined the outer and inner world is for Gumiho.
The last stanza is mostly flattery towards Gumiho, which is also sprinkled in throughout the poem, but it also reflects the two part nature of the poem and by extension Gumiho with its first half equally referring to Gumiho as a yao and the second focusing once more on her fox kin nature. Also in character the author definitely thought of the adorable sight of an actual little fox enjoying fruit when writing the last three verses, hence the ‘little’.

Fuck it I’m being mad about my character in public because doing it privately isn’t doing it for me.
I’ve got this oath of devotion paladin, right? born and raised in a temple, from a militaristic society, who found and resurrected an ancient sun deity. He is/was fully meant to be a Jesian figure for this reawakened god and the derivative cults that have popped up in the intervening centuries and THAT is going well, actually. We’re play curse of strahd, so we’re stuck in Barovia and it’s miserable and sad but there are plenty of opportunities for MY sunboi to bond with the local priests sunbois and reawaken faith in the public as we work forward through the Actual Module Stuff. I am genuinely having a great time with that, it’s fantastic to be so included in the Plot. (thank you for my life, miss dm, ily) But the ISSUE I’m having is with my plan for Character Conflict. I wasn’t THINKING when I made him that my actual friendships dissolving and that other pc’s might have full alignment-flipping mental breakdowns (v cool tho, I am loving watching her lose herself to the mounting trauma) beCAUSE I intended for his personal growth to be about Doubting Himself and Finding Himself As He Was Always Meant To Be (with heavy religious overtones) but!!!! Those elements don’t WORK if he’s in the corner crying other having to kill innocent people and mercy killing an ANGEL with only the NPCs to comfort him, y’know?  It doesn’t work because the dm can’t be the only person to interact with me, but if the party isn’t going to actually comment or comfort him or even Take Note of the Breakdown, then I’m just babbling to myself and he can have these revelations silently. Like it’s wonderful to talk to all the NPCs and have emotional moments with them, playing across from my bestie, but it’s not Going Well with the rest of us.  Lemme lay the scene: Imrath (Dragonborn, Paladin, my PC) is closest with Wixen (Dusk Elf, Barbarian/Cleric, Shifter, Glen’s PC) but Wixen has an active curse on her soul that switched her from Good to Evil, so she is being appropriately cagey and chaotic about who and what she cares about. It’s sad, but in character, and they talk about it often enough to stay friends.
Now, we have a new player, who I do like very much but don’t know well. Rest assured none of these comments are about them.  BUT ASH (Fire Genasi, Rogue, F’s PC) man I’m so disappointed. Not in the character. The CHARACTER is delightful and has depth and drama and would make such a FUN foil for Imrath to learn from and bounce off of as he moves from Lawful Good to Lawful Neutral but my FRIEND. My friend is not INTERESTED in the game anymore. They don’t talk, don’t get to know any NPCs, don’t even really bullshit with us anymore and it’s fuckin affecting me man.
I just. I’m really disappointed. And maybe I need to modify my own characters goals to be more independent but I already chose my class last, chose paladin to balance our party (and to fight the Fucking Vampires), keep the notes for the game, do a LOT of the chatting, and make efforts not to derail the game too badly and I’m TIRED of my beloved character being pigeon-holed into the role of a charismatic diplomatic public speaker when he is MEANT to be niave, affectionate city boy fresh out of a military tin can.

Fate and Phantasms #286: Illyasviel von Einzbern (Archer)
Tumblr media
Today on Fate and Phantasms we're really kicking summer vacation into overdrive! None of that anime nonsense Kiara's got kicking around, just pure, unbridled summer fun with Illyasviel von Einzbern (Archer).
This build's got three parts to it; first and foremost, the water guns. Secondly, if you're going comedy mode you've got to make sure everything works out for you in the end. Finally, unlimited magical power, she is still the grail incarnate after all.
So of course we're going with sorlock. That's right, this time around Illya is a Silverquill Warlock to put that infinite energy to good use and a Divine Soul Sorcerer to still grab a magical girl transformation by the end of things.
Check out her build breakdown below the cut, or her character sheet over here!
Next up: I ache for the touch of your lips, dear/ but much more for the touch of your whips, dear/ you can raise welts/ like nobody else/ as we dance to the masochism tango!
Race and Background
For the first time in just about ever, we're actually changing up a servant's race between versions! Simply put, we're not dumping constitution this time around so we don't need the tough feat out the gate. On top of that, what we need from the Lightfoot Halfling race is much more pressing- Sure, the +2 Dexterity and +1 Charisma are nice, but we're here for the Lucky feature, which lets you re-roll a natural one on any d20 roll and use the new version.
You're also Brave, giving you advantage on saves against being frightened. Something tells me that'll come in handy this event.
Your Halfling Nimbleness lets you move through the spaces of creatures larger than you, and you're Naturally Stealthy so you can hide even if you're only hidden by a creature larger than you.
Also, I doubt I really need to say this, but Halflings are Small, so those last two abilities have a lot more use than they would on say, a human.
The one thing that hasn't changed is that you're still an Inheritor, giving you proficiency in Survival and History. We're just changing your entire genetic code, not your childhood, calm down.
Ability Scores
Illya's magic is innate, so her highest score is in Charisma, naturally. Children are also very slippery, especially when you're trying to keep them from playing outside, so her Dexterity is great as well. Playing in the sun all day means you need a good Constitution (or some good sunscreen, either or), and picking out targets is a Wisdom skill. This does mean your Intelligence is a lot lower than normal- it's summer break after all. Finally, we're dumping Strength. Illya is baby, she's not going to be hurling cars around.
Class Levels
1. Warlock 1: We're heading to summer camp, but before that we have to finish our Silverquill homework! Finishing that up makes you an Eloquent Apprentice, so you learn the Sacred Flame cantrip plus you get proficiency in Performance and Persuasion (on top of Wisdom and Charisma saves, Arcana, and Deception from starting as a warlock).
The real reason we're here though is for the Silvery Barbs feature. After a nearby creature succeeds on an attack, check, or save, you can use your reaction to make them re-roll that roll as if they're being charmed, forcing them to use the lower result. Once this makes someone mess up, you can't use it again until you finish a long rest or spend a spell slot on it. Making someone fail also lets you make another creature succeed, giving a second creature (possibly yourself) the ability to reroll an attack, check, or save and use the higher roll at some point in the next minute.
Oh right, we need spell slots for that to work. Thankfully we have Pact Magic, giving you one 1st level spell slot! You can cast spells using your Charisma, with cantrips like Eldritch Blast and True Strike working as your water gun, Armor of Agathys helping you track water on everything you touch after I just cleaned the house you little gremlin, and Comprehend Languages for being smart. You are still smart, you just don't use it much over the summer break.
You're also Favoured by the Gods, so once per short rest you can add 2d4 to a failed save or attack to try and not fail.
2. Warlock 2: Second level warlocks get Eldritch Invocations to customize their summer camp experience. Grab Agonizing Blast and Repelling Blast for a high-pressure water gun. The former adds your charisma modifier to the damage of each eldritch blast, while the latter lets you push the target back up to 10' away.
Now that I'm thinking about it that's just better Lance of Lethargy, since it works on every blast rather than once per turn.
Anyways.
Your spell this level is Expeditious Retreat, making it even easier for you to bolt outside and play the second it's an option.
3. Sorcerer 1: Okay, now that school's out let's have some fun! As a Divine Soul sorcerer you get access to Divine Magic, adding Cure Wounds to your spell list for free and you can pick from cleric Spells when you level up!
Speaking of, you get a second spell list that also uses your Charisma. Pact slots and Spell slots don't mix- you have the same number of slots as if you were a second level warlock and a first level sorcerer, no multiclassing tables required. Thankfully, you can use warlock slots for any sorcerer features and vice-versa.
Enough complexity though, now let's talk magic. Pick up Frostbite and Poison Spray for two kinds of sprays from Ruby. Speaking of, Ruby can run off on her own and mess with objects as a Mage Hand. If you want even more assurance that you'll pass a check, check out Guidance or a first level spell like Bless for a 1d4 bonus to one check or any check you make in the duration respectively. You can also use Mage Armor to not die, if you really want to.
4. Sorcerer 2: Second level sorcerers are Fonts of Magic, giving you sorcery points equal to your sorcery level. You can turn points into spell slots or vice-versa, but technically the more interesting stuff happens next level. All the points and extra slots reset after a long rest, btw.
I say technically, because we have just unlocked the secret of infinite spell power. Like I said last level, you can use warlock slots for sorcery features like font of magic, so you can turn warlock slots into points, then take a short rest and get them back without resetting anything. So turn your points into sorcerer slots and repeat each short rest. Now, you have infinite spell slots. Over time. After all, you only get two points per short rest, so that's one 1st level spell slot per hour, and it'll take four hours for a fifth level slot once you can cast those spells. Definitely a downtime activity.
Anyway, grab some Magic Missile this level for some archer balls. They're like caster balls, but a knight class!
5. Sorcerer 3: Third level sorcerers get second level spells like Dragon's Breath, letting you shoot out cold damage as an action each turn in a 15' cone. It's not high-pressure, but this will fill your tank for up to a minute. Aside from that you can also use those sorcery points for Metamagic, customizing your spells. Heightened spells force disadvantage on one creature's first save. Blasting someone in the face with water only has one save. Transmuted spells are especially funky, letting you turn once elemental kind of damage into another. Ruby's already got water and poison settings, why not make her a flamethrower too?
Oh right, German, sorry. I meant you can make her a flammenwerfer. That's right, you can werf flammen in D&D now! The wonders of technology!
6. Sorcerer 4: Use your first Ability Score Improvement to bump up your Charisma for even stronger spells.
...Admittedly this doesn't help any of the spells we get this level, but it's good in general. Resistance lets you add a d4 to the next save you make. We're aiming for "comically burnt" from this fireball, not "actually dead". That's a mood killer. You can also Enhance Ability, giving you advantage on all skill checks of a certain kind for up to an hour. If you pick endurance, the target also gets temporary HP. If you pick strength their carrying capacity doubles, and if you pick dexterity they don't take falling damage on falls of 20' or less.
7. Sorcerer 5: Fifth level sorcerers get Magical Guidance, letting you spend a sorcery point to get advantage on one skill check, further reducing your chances of failing at just about anything.
You can also cast Haste to speed up your summer fun even further with doubled movement speed, an extra action, and a bonus to your AC and dexterity saves. This will tire you out though, and when the spell ends you need to take a round off actions and reactions.
8. Sorcerer 6: Sixth level divine souls have Empowered Healing- whenever a nearby creature casts a healing spell, you can spend a sorcery point to re-roll a number of those dice. This doesn't use your reaction, but it only works once a turn.
You remember how I said Eldritch Blast was a high-pressure water gun? I lied. Lightning Bolt sure is, though. Just make sure you transmute it to do cold damage before you point that thing anywhere- it'll deal 8d6 of lightning damage in a 100' line otherwise.
9. Sorcerer 7: At seventh level sorcerers get fourth level spells like Freedom of Movement! Have you ever tried to hold onto a kid while their friends were playing outside? Exactly.
10. Sorcerer 8: Eighth level sorcerers get another ASI, and as an Elemental Adept you'll find your water guns firing much more powerfully. Now, all your cold spells ignore resistance, and the minimum damage they can do per die is 2 rather than one.
While you're not one for buffing the whole team, you can give one hell of a Motivational Speech to the kiddos. If you spend a minute hyping them up to play, up to five nearby creatures get temporary HP and advantage on wisdom saves. Additionally, if a creature gets hit by an attack they gain advantage on their next attack roll. The spell lasts for an hour for each creature, or until their temporary HP is used up.
11. Sorcerer 9: Now that we have fifth level spell slots we have the perfect opportunity to test out that feat we got by using Cone of Cold, spraying out 8d8 cold damage in a 60' cone to each creature that fails a constitution save.
12. Sorcerer 10: At tenth level you get another metamagic option like Extended spells, which double the length of a spell. You might have infinite slots, but that's not excuse to be wasteful.
Now that you've spent plenty of time at summer camp you've probably learned how to Create Bonfire, creating a fire nearby filling a 5' cube. Any creature in the space when you cast the spell or that moves through the space needs to make a dexterity save or take fire damage.
You're also still clever enough to recall Legend Lore, letting you cast a 5th level spell over 10 minutes to learn lore of a legendary item, person, or place, where the more you know already increases the potency of the spell. Again, Illya's still smart, it's just not something she's focused on at the moment. She's had history classes. I assume. Admittedly I don't know that much about the Japanese school system, but still!
13. Sorcerer 11: Now that we have access to sixth level spells we can properly turn into a magical girl with Tasha's Otherworldly Guise. By harnessing the power of the upper planes, you become immune to radiant and necrotic damage, as well as the charmed condition. You also get a flying speed, another bonus to AC, and your weapons attacks are magical and can be used twice per action. We didn't pick up a pact blade this time, but if you want to use old-school Ruby now it's an option.
14. Sorcerer 12: Twelfth level sorcerers don't get a spell, but your Ability Score Improvement will make your spells stronger now that your Charisma is maxed out!
15. Sorcerer 13: Now we're getting into the big spells. Grab Prismatic Spray to blast your enemies with the biggest Splash Rainbow known to man, dealing 10d6 of various elemental splashes, or petrifying/banishing enemies in the way. If you want the rainbow with less randomness, use Transmuted spell to guarantee cold damage. Or the petrification and banishment. It's not a perfect replacement, but 6/8 times it's fine.
16. Sorcerer 14: If you'd rather not use spells to turn into a magical girl, your Angelic Form aught to keep you airborne. It gives you a slightly slower flying speed, but they last until you don't want them and they don't take a sixth level slot.
17. Sorcerer 15: This level is where you would get an eighth level spell... If I liked any of them. I don't, so grab Fizban's Platinum Shield instead for your own protection. You get a bonus to your AC, resistance to elemental damage, and have evasion. You can also pass this to other creatures, if you want to be a team player.
18. Sorcerer 16: Use your last ASI to become Resilient with Constitution saves, giving you proficiency in them and also rounding out your constitution score for an extra 18 HP. No point spending all your magic on a water gun if it just falls out of your hands when you take damage.
19. Sorcerer 17: Seventeenth level sorcerers get one last metamagic option, and Distant spells will help you become a proper archer by doubling the range of your spells.
With access to ninth level spells, you can finally use the most powerful water gun in the world! Transmute Meteor Swarm and blast entire cities with tons of cold and bludgeoning damage, an-
Oh. Okay. I guess Mass Heal is a good option too. You can hand out up to 700 hit points as you wish, and any creatures who get hp from this spell also is cured of all disease and are un-blinded and deafened.
20. Sorcerer 18: Our last level of sorcery doesn’t net you any new spells, but your Unearthly Recovery is still pretty useful. If you’re at half HP or lower you can regain half your max HP as a bonus action once a day! It stinks that we didn’t get any invincibility like in your kit, but your healing factor should more than make up the difference.
Pros and Cons
Pros:
Having infinite spell slots is always a plus on a caster, especially on a caster that is both healing the party and dealing damage. Also, while this isn't in it's own category it's worth mentioning you have much more health than your usual self, so you can stay in the fight much longer.
You're also practically immune to failure, re-rolling 1s and adding up to 2d4 to anything else, with advantage from either Magical Guidance or Enhance Ability. If you set out to do something, odds are it's getting done.
Flight on a caster is always amazing, especially blaster casters with distant spell and ways to mess with enemies' movement. Zip around the field, knock people 40' back into pits or whatever, fun for the whole family.
Cons:
Actually getting those infinite spell slots is a nightmare, since you only get 2 points per short rest. That's four hours of rest for a single fifth level spell slot.
Plus, we didn't even pick up Greater Restoration (though you could replace Tasha's Guise with that after you get your wings), so you can't even avoid the fatigue that comes with staying up so late! I mean yeah it's not a school night, but that's going to catch up with you!
...You're short, so your walking speed is lower? I don't know what to tell you. You fly so you basically ignore regular combat, and you're protected from elemental damage with Fizban's Shield. Just don't get eaten by a dragon and you're fine.

Min Yoongi sat on the throne, his legs elegantly crossed as he rested his forearms on the armrest. He slightly raised his left arm so that the tip of his index finger could lightly brush against his lower lip, his eyebrows mildly furrowed in a focused expression.
The black-haired man continued playing with his lip, then reached for something in the pocket of his silk pants and held the object in the palm of his hand: it was a vintage pocket watch entirely made out of gold, with a ruby located right at its center. The hands of the watch moved mechanically, producing a “tic” sound that resonated in his mind like an irritating echo.
Yoongi hated time. What was ironic, though, is that he had too much of it: he had an Eternity.
Yoongi glared at the antique object once more. A satisfied smirk appeared on the corner of his lips, depicting anything but an innocent smile. He stood up, adjusting his coat and grabbing his black bowler hat in a swift movement before taking some steps forward: as he walked, the dark throne room surrounding him became gradually more distant and, in a matter of seconds, the man was walking in the busy and snowy streets of Seoul. The snow crunched under the soles of his shoes, the snowflakes that landed on his coat immediately melted, and as he passed by, nobody seemed to notice his presence.
The street was crowded with people rushing to purchase the last Christmas presents, couples holding hands, and kids eating strawberry cotton candy. Disgusting, thought Yoongi as he curled his nose.
“One minute and thirty-three seconds.” He murmured to himself, turning into a deserted alley after checking the correct street name on a brick wall nearby. As he walked, the bright white snow became dirtier until there were just a few clusters of it on the side of the path. It started snowing heavier.
“Fifty-eight seconds.”
“I told you there were consequences!” A hoarse male voice shouted in the distance. Yoongi stopped hands into the pockets of his coat. “You’re a worthless bitch!”
There was a loud bang, followed by two others, and a feeble female voice asking for help. No one could hear her, and even if her cries reached someone’s ears, no one would help her since - according to Min Yoongi - humans were nothing but greedy mortal souls that enjoyed the sufferings of others. They were too occupied with spending their money on materialistic goods and developing toxic, violent, and possessive relationships. They were human beings but had no humanity left in their hearts.
He approached the poor woman laying on the ground, her hand resting on her stomach: blood was gushing out of her bullet wounds, dripping down in a pool of crimson absorbed by the snow. Tears streamed down her face as she whispered the same words over and over again, “Help me”.
He crouched down beside her and tilted his head, observing her like a detective inspected a victim. He knew that her time was up and that she was destined to die there, alone, desperately waiting for someone to find her.
“S-Sir…” She mumbled, some blood running down from the corner of her mouth. “P-please help me…” Her hand desperately clutched the hem of his coat, smearing it with her blood.
Yoongi sharply exhaled and rolled his eyes, turning his head to the side.
“Fancy seeing you follow me everywhere I go, Jungkook.” He stated, reluctantly standing up to face a man leaning against the brick wall, his arms crossed.
“Did you miss me?” Jungkook grinned.
He seemed almost like an angel since the clothes he wore were entirely white. His blond hair brushed against his shoulders, and a pair of long crystal earrings hung from his ears, sparkling as soon as they moved. Yoongi, on the contrary, was his polar opposite: his short wavy locks were as black as pitch, and although his eyes were a dull brown, they almost felt like looking into two holes, black as a night without stars.
“Seokjin sent me here to stop you from reaping her soul,” he affirmed, playing with the many rings he wore on his fingers, “It’s not her time yet.”
Yoongi scoffed, slightly amused at his statement. “Don’t you see the three holes on her stomach… Or do you need a magnifying glass? I am the one who decides if she dies today, not that Doctor Strange wannabe.” He took some steps toward him until his face was a few inches away from his, “I don’t take orders from a teenager.”
Jungkook furrowed his eyebrows, the slight grin disappeared. “These are not my orders but his, and you know you must obey him.” He lightly shoved Yoongi’s shoulder without interrupting eye contact with him, trying to remain calm. He kneeled beside the woman and caressed her hair, a sad smile depicted on his pink lips, while Yoongi stared angrily at the two.
“Don’t even think about it, Jungkook, her soul is already mine.” He said through gritted teeth.
“It is, you’re right.” The blond whispered and delicately put his hand on the woman’s chest. “But not now, Yoongi, you will have to wait.”
“Wait!?” Yoongi exclaimed in disbelief, and then frantically ran a hand through his black locks, “This has to be a joke, is Taehyung with you?”
“He is not,” He responded as a gleam of light formed under the palm of his hand, turning brighter by the second, “I haven’t seen him in ages.” This time his tone was lower, and his expression had darkened. Yoongi nodded, having no interest in knowing what had happened between the two friends.
“I suppose you won’t tell me why Seokjin wants to spare her life.”
“He just told me to stop you, nothing more.”
Yoongi pinched the bridge of his nose, squeezing his eyes shut. “Lies,” he snarled, “you are his little obedient puppy, Jungkook, we all know it.”
Jungkook inhaled the sharp, cold air and smiled as the woman opened her dark eyes. “I’m not here to fight, Yoongi, so you can insult me how much you want.” The blond took the now conscious woman into his arms and glared directly at his former friend. “But nothing will change the fact that you’re on your own now.”
Yoongi turned around, ready to argue back, but there was no trace of Jungkook.
The black-haired man remained still as he watched the empty spot, sighing, a strange feeling at the pit of his stomach.
20 years later
“Chung-Ae, we’ve already talked about this!” You groaned in annoyance, sinking your face into your Pikachu plushie. “I’m happy here!”
Chung-Ae sat on the counter, her arms supporting her as she gave you a stern look. You peeked, escaping the protection of your plushie, noticing that she wore purple lenses - although her stare was as scary as it had always been -.
“You’re a twenty-two-year-old living in an old house, with your three cats, and working in a cat-café.” She emphasized the “and” as if working in such a wonderful place was something to be ashamed of.
“That’s the best life!” You exclaimed as you sat comfortably on your sofa. “I mean, why would I need to move to Seul with a bunch of horny people when I could just spend the rest of my life in peace?”
Chung-Ae sighed loudly.
“They’re not just a bunch of horny people. They are my friends.”
You parted your lips to respond, wanting to remind her about the last party you both had attended, but she cut you off.
“Y/N, you live alone in such an abandoned area, it’s dangerous; it even takes you more than an hour to reach the café.” She slid down from the counter and sat next to you, putting her hand on your shoulder. “Trust me, I know that you’re attached to this place, but it doesn’t work for you anymore.”
She was right, you loved that place. Your grandparent’s house was located in the countryside, in a small rural village that was scarcely populated. The few young people remaining had started moving to bigger cities such as Seul or Busan, but not you. You adored waking up to the sound of birds chirping in the morning and the gurgling of the river. You got used to being alone, and you didn’t mind it. You couldn’t understand why Chung-Ae tried to force you to move with her, but she was rather determined, and you knew she was going to insist.
“Chung-Ae,” you reached for her hand and squeezed it delicately, a small smile forming on your lips. “You know I can’t leave, I promised my mother I would take care of this house.”
“You have to stop living in the past, Y/N.” She firmly stated. “This house is falling apart, and so is your life. Moving to Seul with me is your best option.”
Her eyes stared into yours for a few seconds, and you felt unreasonably guilty. You knew how much she cared about you, and you were constantly giving her “no” as answers. She retracted her hand, reaching for her purse right beside her, before standing up. “You still have time to think about it. You know that, right?” Her hand was on the doorknob.
Your mind wanted to decline her offer, but your heart told you otherwise, so you just nodded.
“Take care, Y/N.” And with that, she closed the door behind her, leaving you alone once again.
You finally took a deep breath running your palms down your face in an exasperated manner. Chung-Ae was your childhood friend, and she had always been by your side. You had met her in elementary school: she was popular amongst your class since her father was a renowned lawyer who worked for big celebrities, but you - on the other hand - weren’t as popular. You weren’t a social butterfly and preferred spending your time playing with the stray cats in your neighborhood.
You stood up and walked toward the kitchen, deciding to make yourself a homemade chicken noodle soup. You put the ingredients on the counter and started to chop the carrots into strings. As you were about to grab something, you heard a strange noise coming from outside: you reminisced Chung-Ae’s words and felt a shiver run through your spine, but you shook your head, mentally reassuring yourself that it must have been a wild animal.
You grabbed the celery from the fridge, deciding that you would drink some strawberry milk while waiting for the soup to cook. However, when you closed it, you were taken aback by a calico cat sitting on the floor, right in front of you. Your eyes were wide open in surprise since your three cats were all black, and you crouched down. “Hello, little one,” you gently smiled as you observed the little creature staring at you with a pair of light blue eyes, “I wonder how you got in…”
You inspected the room looking for any open windows but soon discovered you had closed everything. When you turned your gaze back to the cat, it was gone. Puzzled, you stood back up, massaging your temples. Am I hallucinating? You asked yourself before resuming your dish.
After literally devouring your delicious meal and doing the dishes, you headed to your room, where you found the windows wide open. You didn’t remember leaving them like that, but you also didn’t mind the fresh breeze coming from outside. It was a quiet night of July, and the moon was shining vividly in the sky, its brightness being the only source of light in the room. As you approached your bed, you couldn’t help but notice the shape of a cat on the window ledge, but when you came near, it had mysteriously vanished.
"Okay, Y/N, you're probably tired." You told yourself while sitting on the bed. As you laid down, feeling the freshness of your newly washed sheets, you heard another sound and then a chorus of meows coming from the living room. You sighed, reluctantly standing up, wearing a hoodie before walking down the stairs.
"What is it, guys, did you hurt yourselves?" You asked as your three black cats, Luna, Mars, and Pluto, continued meowing toward the front door. You groaned, "Alright, I will check."
You weren't ready for what you were about to see: you expected nothing but pitch darkness or that calico cat that was apparently haunting you now. But as you opened the wooden door, you froze on the spot at the sight of a man leaning his arm on the doorframe.
Because of the darkness, you could only see his silver hair reflecting the moonlight and a pair of light blue eyes staring at you in curiosity.
"Hello, little one."
