I have small headcanon that if Chrome was written into a Daily Life Arc, one of her running gags would be that if you got her to wear a uniform or something that associates her to an event or person, she will unquestioningly follow whatever is going on. Book 2 au: sparring sessions and short hair katara
They like to have sparring sessions in order to keep their bending skills sharp. They allow themselves to go all out and not hold back at all cause they know if anyone got hurt, Katara could just heal them

Because it would amuse me personally if she were able to make him cry. Also, no one would stop her. That's just Rowena's way. She gets away with things like this.
On a serious note, Rowena is shifting much of self-hatred of her Past Self onto John, and it’s delicious. All of her failures as a parent can now be safely expressed, and she’s petty enough to indulge (because John is a dick and he *reacts* like one of those kindergarten volcanoes)
John likes to stir shit up? Well, he can’t out-shit-stir Rowena MacLeod. No siree.
RE: The potential of a John & Cas fight
It's not that I think he wouldn't fight with Cas. I just think Cas, at least in later seasons, might be relatively disciplined and composed in the face of John Winchester's anger. (I think a bit about how Cas is pretty successful in gray-rocking Lucifer, for example.)
Also, Cas's background as a soldier means John might even suck up to Cas in some respects.

But I think there's a strong element of it arising from a situational issue... John pushes people away (at least part of the reason for so many falling out situations later in life), but he seems particularly triggered and afraid when people leave. (Or lie. Or underprepare him. Or treat him like a damsel/child.)
In the fight with Sam in Dead Man's Blood, John is totally freaking out because he’s paranoid/afraid of everything being too much to handle and not being able to protect everyone, but also he prominently screams at Sam:
JOHN: “You left. Your brother and me, we needed you. You walked away, Sam. (Yelling in SAM’S face) You walked away!”

I think it’d be so cool if through Plot Reasons, it’s when Cas left and came *back* that John got triggered.
Maybe after Cas does one of his abrupt, unannounced departures that has Dean frantically checking the phone. And John gets Weird(TM) about it because it gets all tied up with John’s unresolved feelings about Henry leaving.
It's about the whiplash, about how someone who's been up now unreliable and unshakeable suddenly leaves out of the blue. John could come unglued. Also. Like Sam, I think John wouldn't like a dose of his own medicine very much...
Imagine if we carry it further: Imagine transference. Imagine John getting mad at Cas on Dean’s behalf. Like, Dean would be struck silent, and very very confused.
JOHN: “DEAN NEEDS YOU HERE!” etc etc. The delicious hypocrisy!
And just... it’d be such a delicious mess! Not to mention, it could echo Dean getting mad at Henry on John’s behalf in As Time Goes By:
DEAN: “He thought you ran out on him! Your responsibility was to your family, not some glorified book club!”

Other thoughts:
Cas is, on the whole, I think more composed than John, and much more barbed when he wants to make a point, maybe.
If Cas ever lost his temper with John, I can easily see it being over Jack’s safety. And Cas would say something low and angry, meant only for John's ears, like, “If something happens to Jack because of YOUR stupidity, I will tear you limb from limb.”
Then we’d get a long shot of John after the fact, staring after Cas in an impressed way, thinking, “Hell yeah. This guy would tear me limb from limb over his kid and I am so approving of that attitude.”

Otherwise, I think they’re the type to fight about specific things, like disagreeing on strategy.

me when start having dp related thoughts again
#what prompted this was my mutual dming on discord#then me yapping to them in dms got me on roll all of sudden when i hadn't really been thinking abt dp that much lately compared me currentl#most of it's valerie centric w a lil bit of gray ghost on the side bc of what that my mutual had mentioned to me#so guess the rundown on those thoughts are#valerie having to eventually nearing the end of highschool take a break from ghost hunting along w taking a gap year before starting colleg#bc she has alot of uncertainty regarding her future and now that graduation is on the horizon#her feelings surrounded that are starting to hit her p hard and would throw herself even more into ghost hunting#as means to distract herself from said feelings bc it feels like one thing in her life rn she's actually feels sure abt#but simultaneously feels like she doesn't really know what she wants or is outside of that#imagine atp by now she's friends w the trio and she's seen the way they all talk abt college and what they want to do#she feels like compared to them they're more certain abt what they wanna do and would feel insecure abt that#when it comes to both college and ghost hunting i can see the parallels#of her avoiding wanting to sit down and have those hard/honest conversations w her dad and danny abt either of those things#bc on some level she feels she'd be letting both of them down if she did open abt her feelings regarding either#when in reality both of them would ultimately understand where she's coming from and validated her feelings#esp when it comes to danny and ghost hunting alongside him#bc i feel i'm in the minority who doesn’t believe in the trio going to same college together and being roommates#rather tucker and sam both plan to go out of state actually#so danny has been saying how he's gonna miss having the other two around but atleast he's still gonna have val when they're gone#meanwhile valerie's like yeah right 😅

i like to imagine that Mags saw herself in Annie. She too went "mad" but was just better at hiding it. Wasn't that true for every victor? Mags, being the second oldest living victor, was much wiser. Much more equipped to handle herself and her trauma. and much more willing to take on another's. to hold Annie's hand through it. Just like she had Finnick's. I imagine she was the first person to care for Annie after everything that happened to her. and after her whole family was killed after her disastrous victory tour, Mags was all Annie had until she grew to know and love Finnick too.

While using the tsourai tongue is a common habit of Kariom's for a variety of reasons, there is a specific instance of it regarding the Traveler that becomes a bit of a special thing between them.
Kariom, knowing full well that the Traveler's grasp on the language isn't perfect by any means (and after growing close to her, of course) eventually begins referring to her as a tsourai term of endearment in a loving/sweet way that she doesn't understand. It bothers the mortal woman to no end at first; because usually the star-reader relents and tells her what words mean when she asks but not this one, oh no, and eventually she takes matters into her own hands and attempts to study and translate just what he's saying to her via her own notes and knowledge, asking other people besides Kariom, and so on.
Naturally her brain breaks a little when she succeeds and things fall into place.

Kalpas and Sakura are so hot together. Every interaction, every dialogue, even the absence, is so heavy and tense and juicy
#This Divine Keys dialogue... The way they're with each other is so... normal?#And you can see they really have a lot of intimacy compared to the rest. In their weird strange way but still#Couldn't be any other way with how and who they are and what they've been through. With what they've been through together#The way Kalpas reads her like a book? The way she lies? The way he catches her? And he never ever gets angry at her#His voice is solid but then it's even playful. He laughs a bit and proposes a partnership. For old times' sake#Yet she didn't ask because it may be uncomfortable for him. Because he is sort of scared of that place#Because it haunts him and weights on him. But he would. Of course he would#He seems even offended that she asked Pardofelix before him but she did it for him. How could she ask#And you see so clearly that he is like this because of the past. Because she didn't ask in the past and she died#You see how that weight son him still 50.000 years later. So here he is. Asking her to ask him. Asking himself as if it were his idea#Who do you want to go against she asks. Don't you have your views set yourself why ask? He replies. Because it's not about him#He is just making the asking so that this time she'd have him. So that this time perhaps he'll avoid what still he grieves#And you know what? Pardo is the same considering that one Pardo readable about how she wishes Sakura had asked her to get Rin out#They're both doing what they wish they had done back then. What they wish Sakura had asked of them back then#But Sakura doesn't ask Kalpas now and in that not asking to avoid him pain you can see the traces of why she didn't back then either#They care so much about each other and get each other so deeply but they dance around that intimacy and that silence#And yet they understand. Kalpas reads her and she lies. Kalpas points it out and she retorts with the truth about him#Kalpas asks and she accepts. You can see the weight of the past hovering over Kalpas. Kalpas sees it#Sakura doesn't but there's still an echo of the past reverberating in her words and acts as well. That only makes Kalpas more insistent#But not angry.
