Incorrect, the fact that Biden has dropped out and a candidate with history of supporting medicare for all and being more receptive to a ceasefire in the I/P conflict has made me go from "I cannot morally support the Democratic nominee" to "I am voting for the Democratic nominee despite the fact she isn't perfect in every respect." I'm really happy this played out. The Dems for the most part abandoned the old Obama platform and it feels like its possible an actual progressive agenda could come to pass in my lifetime.

Crying because of course Rita became a notoriously active saint who listens to petitions and intercedes with all her might. Of course she did, because she was the one praying for something impossible, it's her knees that quite literally marked the rock on the spot she prayed at until she was heard. And it's her life that was changed because she was heard, because her own desperate cause turned into a reality by the intercession of the three saints she venerated, swooping in to take her to the convent, to do something so miraculous it would become a big part of why she's associated with impossible causes.

Of course she does all she can when we pray to her with a desperate situation, because she was desperate first. Of course she listens to each of our petitions with the care of a mother, because no one has ever understood the importance a patron saint more than her. I think that when she intercedes before God for us, she's still thinking about John the baptist, Augustine and Nicholas of Tolentino. I think that she's still thanking them. I think she is thrilled she gets to do the same for us

Honestly I’m choosing to be an optimist and believe that Elden Henson at the least could still be in DD Born Again (haven’t heard anything about Deb so not sure there). As best I can tell, all the current rumors that he and Deb aren’t there trace back to a single article stating Elden and Deborah aren’t on the current call sheet. And having known folks who worked in TV, this doesn’t necessarily mean they aren’t on the cast list. It just means that what DD is filming right now doesn’t require them - think action scenes, solo scenes. It could mean that, say, Jon’s on a time crunch and so they’re just going to shoot everything with him and Charlie first so he can leave and then they’ll hit everything else. It could mean, ‘yeah ok we buffed all our dudes up so we’re just gonna get the hardcore fights and the shirtless scenes done ASAP’. Kevin has been open about how much he loved Netflix DD, and the fact that he’s already pulled in Charlie, Vincent, and Jon, along with - seemingly - Krysten if the hints on twitter are right, makes me hopeful that this is just a, ‘They’re being secretive and are filming things in a certain order’.

I’m keeping my fingers crossed, anyway.

After delving into tudor history again, since college....it always shocks me that people think that thomas wanted anne dead more than henry and that idk...henry wasn't the one who made thomas put the charges on anne.

i'm not excusing thomas and how he fucked anne over, and i know they had fall outs, but at the same time he couldn't put her on trial, or start any of that without henry wanting it. the way henry has shimmied his way out of being directly tied to anne's death, but rather thomas seems to be the scapegoat always surprises me.

ppl act like henry didn't get married like a week after.
