Cammy White is such a funny character to me
She's a highly skilled supersoldier type created by the world's most dangerous criminal organization, has an undying love for cats to the point she's adopted some of their manerisms, she has like 10 sisters, walks around in leotard that shows her whole ass to the world, is a clone of the main vilain of which he wanted to take control off/possess if his main body was killed, and she's fucking British

some stuff about A.B. :]
some of this stuff i talked abt on discord last night as well so a bit of this is just copypasted
She goes by A.B. purely because she thinks it sounds cool. Though, some take to calling her "Abby" instead of pronouncing the two letters. And, of course, the executives and mr. curtain call her by her full name, as they don't tolerate nicknames like that.
Her hat belonged to her mother.
okay i just realized this is gonna be a kinda long so the rest is under the cut lol
She was a papergirl pre-canon, which is how she comes by the ad in the newspaper two weeks before the round of tests that the other kids take. She makes it to the second test, but doesn't pass it because she couldn't figure out the puzzle. But, the whole thing made her curious, and she wants to write an article on it for her personal newspaper (her journal. she has a little journal she writes articles in.) so she trails behind number two all the way back to the house, intent on catching up to her to get an interview. bad news: she gets caught snooping around the driveway. good news: Mr. Benedict respects her commitment to hard-hitting facts-based journalism, and decides she could be quite a useful part of the team (he also may or may not be deeply concerned that this little girl was running around stonetown all on her own with literally zero adult supervision)
She then tells Mr. Benedict her story about how her mom dropped her off at "daycare" when she was little and then didn't come back and that pretty much seals the deal.
As for her mother, she was not brainswept, she really did leave A.B. behind. Her father died when she was a baby, and her mother found herself unable and unwilling to care for A.B. on her own. So she left her on the steps of an orphanage and didn't look back.
A.B. doesn't find this out until the end of the first book. Mr. Benedict has the thought that Ms. Moore may have been brainswept, so decides to look into it. What he finds is that she moved to New York, and has been living there since A.B. was seven, eventually getting remarried.
He leaves it up to A.B. if she wants to know and, of course, she does.
Naturally, she is both devastated and incredibly angry at her mom. Despite this, though, A.B. doesn't let go entirely. She still needs her mom. Not just needs, but wants. Part of her still clings to the little hope that her mom might come back for her.
She ends up going back to the Wetherall farm with Kate and Milligan (having been invited, of course,) and helps rebuild the farm :]
In TPJ she winds up losing her hat when the kids escape from the Ten Men in the Salamander. She wants to go back for it, but there isn't time, she has to let it go. It's sad but it's for the character development.
Then she gets frustrated with her braid catching on things, realizes her hair is quite easy to grab, and so she hacks it off with a knife :)
and that's everything I got so far :]

As a Gévaudan Lycan, June’s design is supposed to give off an unknowable and melancholy energy.
Gévaudan Lycans are mimics, and their emotions alter their form, especially if they have little to no control of themselves when they shift.
Tumblr media
The way June was changed into a lycan and her experience during first shift were extremely traumatic, and over time, her lycan form reflected her feelings of loss and self-loathing. She fronts as this charming and confident woman, while holding back her deeper emotions that eventually leached into the form that reflects her true self.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Fear, sadness, loss, and rage all mixed into this one entity she cannot control. Once a month, she's forced into facing all of those emotions, reliving that trauma again and again for nearly 30 years.

the first thing minkowski does when she arrives at the hephaestus, before she wakes the rest of her crew up, is get into the role of commander. like she's reciting her lines before she has to go on stage. minkowski's love of musical theater is framed in contrast to the image she presents, but that's just it. it's a carefully cultivated image, the type of person she thinks commander minkowski should be. she's read all the manuals. she's memorized the survival guide. she knows her lines. she's so initially caught up in doing things the "right" way, in playing the role of commander, that she fails to authentically be in command.
there are two things here, both of which cutter uses to manipulate her: 1) minkowski has been outcast and overlooked for her immigrant upbringing, and she desperately wants to prove that she belongs, and 2) she craves certainty and purpose, and wants to believe there's a way to make sense of her misfortune. that's what appeals to her about sunday in the park with george: "the guy who sings it is this famous french painter, and his entire life is kinda falling apart. but he can always turn what's happening around him into these beautiful paintings." at least from a performance perspective, there's a way that her interest in musical theater makes just as much sense as her military career: there's a certainty to it, and an authority to appeal to. a role to perform, a script to follow, an expected way that everything will play out.
(and so maybe it's interesting to consider her application was for writing musical theater, in the creation of her own vision rather than the execution of someone else's, and she was rejected from that.)
there's some resonance between minkowski treating her life as a performance, and eiffel viewing himself as a character in a narrative. he views the world through a pop culture lens, ascribes an archetype to her, which she plays into and reinforces. that distorted perception of each other is at the core of a lot of miscommunication, and so, a lot of their early conflict. the dynamic between minkowski and eiffel is arguably the most central to the entire show, and i think there's something in that progression: of needing to be capable of seeing both yourself and others as full, complex, contradictory people with intricate inner lives before you can really communicate with them.
