25: Sheffield, You and Me and Christmastime

So, this is something of a curiosity. It’s a new song, released just last year. It would seem I first heard it sometime in November, since that’s when I added it to my Pop Christmas playlist on Spotify. But where did I hear it? I haven’t the slightest idea. Possibly it showed up in the list of recommended songs that shows up at the bottom of the playlist, or perhaps I heard it on the local radio station that switched to an all-seasonal music format. Also curious is that the singer has next to no Internet presence. He’s on Instagram and something called SongWhip, and Spotify and YouTube obviously, but that’s pretty much it. The third curiosity: as you can see from the lyrics below the title doesn’t actually appear in the song. Curiosities aside, I think it’s a cute little song. Probably not destined to be a holiday classic, but a nice addition to the corpus.
