I have a question for people who regularly use incense (might post this on reddit too, I don't quite know yet). What is incense SUPPOSED to smell like? Because the responses I get when googling it are very varied, so I might as well ask people who actually use it.
Let me explain.
So for Christmas this year, my younger sister got incense (and an incense holder), all of which was on Amazon. The first time she burned it, it really irritated my head. All of the times afterwards have irritated me less so, but every single time it had reeked of a cigarette-like smell. I've always heard of incense being like candles, and supposedly pleasant to smell, but this is the complete opposite for me.
I don't mind her burning it, but from what I have surmised on the internet so far, her incense may just be poorly made, especially since it was ordered online. However, I have some doubt that she is going to change where she orders incense, since she already does plenty of unhealthy things for her body (such as vaping and weed edibles). She probably doesn't mind the smell as much as I do. Any advice on this?

The scene was powerful in the book, but there was just something about watching reaper collect the bodies of the dead tributes in the arena. The way he removes the weapons from their hands, lays them out nicely, giving them the smallest bit of dignity in death. The contrast to the capitol gasping in shock as he pulls down the flag, not in rebellion, but in mourning. The way mourning in the hunger games IS an act of rebellion. “How are you going to punish me now?” The feed then immediately cutting to the news of the death of one capitol boy, whose death will be avenged upon those who had nothing to do with it. Only certain deaths are allowed to mean anything. God. Suzanne Collins knows what she’s doing.

people make fun of the "oh you only hate her because she's a WOMAN" crazy feminist mentality but yeah actually you guys do only hate her because she's a woman a lot of times. for every hated female tv character there's ten male tv characters who are a million times worse and still given at least the "intriguing morally grey character" treatment if not straight up praise. for every hated female celebrity in real life there's one hundred famous men who have done worse and don't get half the hate she does. for every hated female politician, for every hated female historical figure, for the women you know in real life and on and on.

Too many people talking abt Will Sad Gayboy Byers being heartbroken by his unrequited crush on his best friend and not enough of you talking abt how his big brother clocked it immediately and then gave him an impassioned speech abt how he loves him unconditionally and nothing will ever (meaningful eyecontact) ever change that and Will smiling and softly weeping as they hug bc he knows that no matter what he'll always have his brother.
