in another universe TLT is a coming of age fantasy YA tragedy about Silas having to leave home with his nephew/guardian at the age of 16 to seek glory for his house and then not only LOSING that guardian in a terrible mistake, but also losing faith in his culture/religion as a whole as he rejects everything he has been taught to stand for and want. And as he stands up for himself in his final moments and realizes his terrible miscalculation he is KILLED by the shambling, posessed body of his guardian only for his soul to be then swept away and thrust into a confusing dreamscape where nothing is real and once again he must reject his world in order to chase after something new. the universe does not forgive but maybe he can force its hand

HoO is so funny to me when you actually think about the ages of all the characters. Octavian is 18. Percy and Annabeth are 16, almost 17. Reyna is presumably 16. Frank just turned 16, Jason’s about to turn 16. Leo and Piper are like 15. Hazel’s like 14 and a half, and Nico is 13.

The Death Sibs are both the youngest and oldest on the Argo II. Octavian is a college freshman getting into petty drama with a bunch of high schoolers. He gets told to shut up at one point by a random 8th grader. Everyone is scared of the 8th grader. We Sent A 13 Year Old To Superhell and he came back weirder, Just Like Middle School. TLH was just three high school sophomores being sent to do a task and it going Exactly Like You’d Expect. Percy’s the only demigod on the ship who can legally drive (though Reyna gets her drivers license at some point before TOA). What Is Happening.

#I’m reading volumes 14-16 of the ouran manga OOUGHHH MY HEART #I love this weird little friend group so much its unreal #like u have this charming sweeps you off your feet prince but he’s actually a huge lovable idiot with a kind heart and his friends #who are all misfits that he reached out to and drew in because of his kindness and own weirdness like that shits TIGHT BRO #and the trauma part where he has some deep seated issues with love bc he thinks that itll break a family apart like with his mom #how his family isnt allowed to be together because his mom and dad fell in love and how he says he wants to build a big house #so that way one day everyone will get along as a family like. all he wants is not to lose everyone and the only way to do that is #by maintaining a certain order.. he both wants a complete family so bad and doesnt want anything to sour between anyone #so he assigns each of his friends a family role based on how he sees them and YEAH its mostly played for giggles and tamakis #already weird so its his way of showing theyre close to him but. god damn this boy has LAYERS #it also feels kinda meta towards how found family tends to get thrown around to assign characters as 'siblings' or family roles instead of #using it to describe characters who are close enough to be each others family. cuz tamakis doing that EXACT THING in a way tht #ties in with his character and i have to say its fascinating using that within the story itself and its completely plausible #theres a lot of things i can say about ouran that are good bad and questionable but. god i love it when characters are niceys to each other #i remember i really liked the mall episode bc kyoya and haruhi got to spend time together and their relationship isnt very close #but it was really nice to see their personalities bounce off each other. i think i also wouldve liked to see haruhi alone with kaoru #i also firmly believe all of the hosts are at least a little in love with haruhi and this can be anything like endearing romantic cuz like #who DOESNT love haruhi. kyoya i think would want to study her under a microscope like his fascination with her draws him in #but im fucking obsessed with whatever haruhi and tamaki have going on because YES hes obsessed with her YES he jumps at the chance to #put her in a cute costume but haruhi? she just fucking goes with it because she knows hes fun to be around even if hes a little wacky abt i #theyre all so. keep seeing cool artists do timeskip versions of Pokémon characters and decided I wanna do them for the SV cast, so here's Arven to start with!!

She's worked out her mommy issues to an extent, but still feels a need to make up for Sada's mistakes. Also think she might be engaged/married to Nemona, but I'll figure it out.

Okay, I just found out that historically Mary was between fourteen and fiteen yo when the archangel Gabriel gave her the pregnancy news. My whole Jesus is somewhat real on Good Omens so how did THAT conversation went made me actually more curious now because it's not only Good Omens Gabriel gives bonkers news to a human but Good Omens Gabriel gives bonkers news to a teenager.

since im teaching students ranging from 9-12 years old its crazy thinking back on how the protags were able to stop villainous organizations especially since they werent assigned to. they were just caught in the crossfire and is forced to get the job done.

so i fulfilled a lifelong dream last night and went to see sweeney todd on broadway... 🥰

i don't want to launch into a 100k review but i overall loved it & thought it was phenomenal.

the only thing i must speak about is annaleigh ashford. i wasn't sold on her casting initially - because she felt very young for the role - but god does she sell every bit of her performance.

she's on par with patti lupone re: how funny she is able to make the part (which dgmw is already super funny in writing alone), and her physicality & acting choices were truly inspired through & through.

also i'm so happy she played into how fucking h*rny this part is. her mrs lovett is horned up & feral 24/7 and that's the disaster-adhd-bisexual-murderous-girlboss representation we need, i think 🤔📯

so shes supposed to be ~18 minus 9 months <3 i usually put her around 19/20 when she joins the team just bc its after the one year later in infinite crisis plus i usually assume she worked with slade for a little under a year but thats mostly just a headcanon. though i guess if shes 20 shes not really a teen but thats not my business

Yesterday, my mom went with me to one of the many thrift shops I check once a week.

And found a cute dress, black with white flower detailing.

For 15 dollars.

It was her first day looking.

#Doc needs a dress #This is just the luck of the draw with thrifting #it happens!#But I SCREAMED ahahah #She's a better size for thrifting than I am #I'm fairly small for an American and there's a concept I see circled around that all the stuff in thrift stores is XS -s #I have not personally found that to be true #unless you're in a true VINTAGE store where everything is...well...vintage sized #and then you're not paying thrift prices and they've emptied out most of the thrift stores #A US 10-12 is the sweet spot at most of the places I go #but honestly even 14-16 often hasw more choices than I do at 4-6 #at your standard thrift store #here at least I can't speak for every city in the US #but it was also true at the goodwills in the Chicago area
