𝖘𝖚𝖒𝖒𝖆𝖗𝖞: You love spending time at the library with your secret crush Yuzuha but when you two pick up letters to Milena, something changes.

If Emma would remind you of a basket of freshly picked cherries and peaches, Hinata a field of divine smelling flowers in summer and Senju a wild, ice clear river running through the forest, Yuzuha would be the autumn sun on her last warm days falling through a window, painting everything in warm red and gold.

She would be a new book just bought, still smelling faintly like ink and paper and holding so many beautiful words inside.

Yuzuha Shiba would be a lot of beautiful things to you if you had to describe her, but right now, when she´s sitting across you in padded the window frame of the library, reading letters to Milena with a small smile, you think she would be best looking with her hand intertwined with yours.

She´s truly beautiful, especially now, with her hair falling over her shoulders and framing her delicate frame, brown eyes downcast and her full lashes nearly touching her cheek. You don´t think you could be any more in love with her.

“You´re staring,” she suddenly says and looks up, the sun brightening up her face and making her eyes look like Bernstein. She smiles and lowers the book down on her tights.

“What´s up, hm?”

“Sorry I just…”

“Yes?”

“Nothing, forget it.” You try concentrating on the book in your hands again, some period drama Emma recommended to you, and settle back into the cushions but Yuzuha still observes you.

The words in your book don´t make sense, all your attention is still on her, looking at you. You read the same line over and over again and don´t get a single thing.

It´s not like you don´t enjoy reading with her, but ever since you realized that the rapid beating of your heart and constant sweaty hands weren´t just a persistent cold but you falling in love with your friend you couldn´t help but be nervous every time she´s near you.

And being squished together in the warm library, legs touching and shoulder bumping, was certainly not helping.

There is a moment of comfortable silence and just when you think she let it go there is a movement in the corner of your eyes and Yuzuha changes places to squeeze herself next to you.

“Make some room for me, will you?”

“Yuzuha, what are you doing!” You grab her arm, nearly falling off the window frame as she gets comfortable in the corner and effortlessly pulls you close to her so she can rest her legs over yours -to prevent you from falling off and staying pressed together.

The moment her warm cheeks brush against your shoulders and you are able to smell her wonderful scent of old books and flowers you get the urging desire to melt completely into her. Yuzuha just giggles, resting her head on your shoulder.

“Don´t worry, I got you.” To empathize her words, she sneaks an arm around your waist so you´re nearly seated in her lap.

If you would die right now, you´re sure it would be a happy death – dying in her arms while she holds you so close and gentle.

And maybe it´s the afternoon sun shining through the window and frying your brain or the old romance books invading your mind with possible, overly romantic and sappy scenarios but you could swear Yuzuha is blushing a little when her fingers start drawing soothing circles into your waist.

“Read this with me, will you?” She asks and holds letters to Milena up.

It´s a lovely book, very poetic and you have spent hours looking for good quotes from it that you could include in all the love letters for her you never sent.

“Oh, you want to read love letters with me now?” you ask jokingly and bump your head against hers. She laughs and pushes back against you.

“Maybe. Why not? Though – “she stops and straightens up, fumbling with something in the pocket of her long flower skirt and then pulls out her phone and earphones, “not without some music, right?”

“You´re so sappy, Yuzuha, what happened?” to hide your fast beating heart you try to sound amused but it´s hard when she looks so earnest and kissable.

“You happened.”

She looks at you, oddly serious and you stop laughing.

In this moment you´re relieved that you two are nearly the only ones in this part of the library -most people rather being outside on this hot summer day and enjoying the warm weather than spending time in the old library. Only two other people are in the room with you. The librarian who seems to look rather absently around and an elderly man sitting at a table. They don´t spare you two one glance. You really don´t want people to see how you stare at Yuzuha before looking away and hastily taking the earphones from her to put one in and offer her the other.

“What do you wanna hear?”

“Just put something on.”

She scrolls through her phone, starting to grin and quickly typing out something, holding the phone away from you.

The soft tunes of evergreen start to play and she breaks out in an even bigger smile, just as you.

You start mouthing the words together, holding eye contact and linking hands as you sway to the lyrics.

“Oh I love this song, it reminds me of you,” Yuzuha explains.

“Same.”

You don´t think you need to say more.

Still humming the melody, you two look through the book until your eyes catch a line you know from your letters to Yuzuha.

I want in fact more of you. In my mind I am dressing you with light; I am wrapping you up in blankets of complete acceptance and then I give myself to you. I long for you; I who usually long without longing, as though I am unconscious and absorbed in neutrality and apathy, really, utterly long for every bit of you.

“Do you like this line?” She seems to see your lingering gaze on the lines. You nod and read the page, a weird suffocating feeling in your chest bubbling up.

It feels like someone tries to rip your lungs out – tender and lovingly tearing them open with gentle hands while your heart grows heavy.

A look to Yuzuha still reading in the book and you get it.

You suddenly get why it feels like your thoughts are running an endless tune of all the words she says, why breathing is so hard as if your body doesn´t know what to do when Yuzuha´s hand touches your skin, why every shade of brown is suddenly the brown of her eyes, every song the tone of her voice and every soft blanket only as comfortable as her embrace.

You´re in love. No- You love her.

You love your best friend. Maybe you always loved her, maybe you just start loving her now but you love her, so, so much.

“Perhaps it isn’t love when I say you are what I love the most - you are the knife I turn inside myself, this is love. This, my dear, is love.”

“What?” She stops reading and raises her brows in question.

“Nothing, continue,” you assure her, tightening the hold around her hand and turning the page but the abrupt movement causes your headphone to fall out.

Before you can grab it, Yuzuha takes it and untangles her fingers from yours to grab your chin and turn you back at her.

“Here let me…” she puts the headphone back in, brushing back a lose strand of hair.

You stare at her. She stares back, hand still under your chin and fingers on your cheek.

“Yu- “ you whisper but the words are stuck in your throat when she leans closer and mumbles, “hold the book up.”

“What?”

“Hold the book up so they don´t see us.”

You´re confused but still does as she says, covering both of your faces with the book.

And then she kisses you.

She kisses you, gentle and soft and all the other words that come to your mind when you think of her – all like you imagined it would be kissing Yuzuha.

The first thing your brain comes up with is thinking oh, I was wrong, this is the best way to die before you kiss her back and everything else faints into the background until it´s just you, Yuzuha and the letters to Milena hiding you from the world.

brooookkkkeee please bless me with a Shibaman fluffy fic that takes place in the rain. Like maybe he gets caught in the rain or something and the reader shares her umbrella. She is from daruma (or whatever sword group you feel most comfortable with except for white rascals). A bunch of guys try to fight Shiba during their walk but they recognize the reader and flee in terror.

I use she but you can use whatever pronouns you feel comfortable writing. Thank you for opening requests ^-^)/♡

Of course my dearest leader (iykyk) I sall write you with one of your favorite boos UwU, hopefully this is ok, i had to restart because my laptop glitched wich is a bummer cus I was in sappy mode.

Shibaman had been out and about all day, numerous errands had been done and now he was starting to feel a little tired, he decided to stop at an old bench that was once part of a bus stop, taking a rest was his best bet, only a few minuets he had promised himself.

The cool night air created a delicious burn in his lungs after many hot stuffy hours at Oya and various other places he had visited. His head rested back, eyes closed as he took in the crisp air, a faint breez sweeping across his face. The quiet was nice, and he had been glad to not need a jacket that day. It felt free for him. He felt himself doing an internal reset, one he had much needed and not even really known. Everything seemed to be going his way until the skies opened up and a downpour pelted him with hard crystal like rain, he had not seen that in the weather forecast today and he let out an annoyed sigh, now he was soaked and going to get cold fast. He saw the falling appart bush shelter that was unused, and went under it, the rain only drizzling in the enclosed space, keeping him from getting any more soaked in rain.

A few block away, Jay was walking out of a restaurant where she just picked up something to eat for dinner, she had had a long day at Daruma and was ready to unwind for a bit. The rain that greeted her made her smile, she had always loved it and decided that she would not be bothered by it ever even in unexpected times like this. She put her umbrella up, stepping into the col and rainy night air with her bag of food in hand, unknowingly walking to where her next great adventure would await her. She was in for a surprise and a half when the six foot tall teen would capture her heart.

As she approached the old run down bus stop, a smile on her face as the pitter patter of rain on the umbrella sounded, she saw a tall figure, soaked from head to toe and almost looking to be lost or maybe just having had a rough day. whoever it was didn't have a jacket and that was never a good thing.

"Are you alright sir?" Jay asked, her eyes falling on someone who seemed close in age to her and he looked almost like she had seen him somewhere.

"Im ok, just got caught in the rain that came out of nowhere." Shibaman chuckles, not hiding the fact that he was soaked to the bone on raindrops. "Well come with me, we can share my umbrella and I can walk you to where you need to go, I can't let you stay out here all night and get sick waiting for the rain to stop." Her voice was a melody to him, and he felt compelled to take her offer, so he did, standing under the umbrella with her, trying to hold it for her so neither was pelted with the rain. "Thank you for getting me out of the rain, Im Shibaman." The smile on his face was genuine and could melt even an ice heart, Jay decided. "Im Jay, nice to meet you Shibaman. Where are you going to?" She asked "Just Oya." He mutters, hoping not to frighten her, he had yet to realize she was from Daruma and was anything but skittish. "Alright, sounds good." With that they walked twards Oya, only to be stopped by thugs from a riaval school gang getting ready to attack the Oya student. Jay steps from the sheild of the umbrella and shouts at the new faces, not afraid to scare them off, "OI,Get lost you pieces of shit."

The guys facing her pale when they realize who they messed with, running off and leaving Shibaman confused and Jay going back to him, "That should keep them away." As they arrive later at Oya, Shibaman lets out an almost sad sigh, not ready to leave this lovley energy he had been talking with for thirty minuets, "Thank you again for bailing my ass out." "No worries big guy. Say, you wanna go out for dinner some time?" She asks, a small smirk dancing across her features.

"I would love to ms. Jay." The young boy nods, confirming with her he would meet her again, exchanging contact info before leaving inside of Oya and leaving Jay a lovesick mess, even though she knew Daruma would have a field day giving her shit, all that she cared about was now she loved the rain even more.
