For what seemed like the millionth time that day, Lane sighed. It's not like they wanted to feel this way, really. The whole ship seemed to be down in the dumps. Lane couldn't help but feel like it was their fault. Rebecca wasn't as chatty and even Shiki was quiet. The weight of the silence was a bit too heavy for Lane to bear. Before they knew it, tears were sliding down their face into their soft fur.

"What's with all these waterworks, pretty?" a voice came from behind. With a sniff, Lane turned around to see Weisz in the doorway. With a blush, they quickly wiped their tears.

"N-nothing.. just feeling a little down, I guess."

Weisz walked and sat in the bed next to Lane and put his hand on their shoulder in comfort.

"Talk to me about it then."

"I... don't know where to start, really.."

With a sob, the tears that had been so valiantly fought let loose. Lane covered their eyes to hide, but a pair of gentle, firm hands pulled them away.

"Hey. Look at me, Lane." Weisz's voice was quiet, filled with affection. He pulled Lane into a tight embrace.

"You're not a burden. Get that out of your pretty little mind right now. Second, what does being half animal and half human have to do with anything? Shiki Granbell

If someone insults his s/o, they better run and fast because Shiki isn’t letting them get away and before he runs off tells Pino to stay with them, often getting comforted by Rebecca about what the fool said.

Often it’s Labilia who is harassing you and telling you that you aren’t even close to what Shiki’s standards, your boyfriend’s having none of it. Telling them off and hugging you close to him, no doubt kissing you and going into a full on argument with the person.

Let’s say you got kidnapped (with or without rebecca), remember when Shikii went crazy on Illega and no one could get through him…..yeah that’s pretty much what he was like except worse.

Rebecca and Weisz had to pull him away even after Pino used her EMP to stop him from killing the person, you eventually got in front of Shiki and he regained sense.

You couldn’t get him off you for the rest of the day and even then he smothered you with affection, kissing you left and right.

Your boyfriend is very protective and doesn’t often leave you, if he does he makes sure sister, witch or rebecca is with you. What often happens is that Shiki and you train on the ship, constantly pushing each other to your limits.

Talking about the shining stars, they all regard you as the co-leader of the ship and welcome you as much as shiki. When they found out that Shiki had a partner they were thrilled, Sister had a full on euphoric episode swinging you around and Hermit started joyfully jumping up and down now that she had another friend (someone that Shiki loved enough to court).

Both Shiki and the shining stars spoil you and love you to no end, the whole crew adores you, you’re always trying your best to help out and also calm shiki down when he tries to fight someone who hurt his friends.

He is such a cuddler and holds you tight, being the bigger spoon and hugging you in a tight iron like grip.

Rebecca

She treasures you more than anything, you and Happy mean the world to her and she would never give you up for anything.

Labilia often either insults you or persuades you to try and be her partner instead, Rebecca can take insults but when someone insults you. She, Shiki and Happy go hard on her and tell her off for everything she’s done.

You’re often featured in her videos a lot and her fans adore both of you, when she got a lot more subscribers they wanted to see romantic partner videos and the duo couldn’t agree more.

When you, Rebecca, and Homura bathe in the spa of edan’s zero, you all laugh and joke around (assuring Homura that this isn’t training and only a bath).

She’s a very light sleeper and will wake up if you have nightmares, comforting you before anything else.

Rebecca is also very protective of you like Shiki and although she knows that you can handle yourself she can’t but be protective and nervous for her love.

Weisz

He’s super cocky, so he’s gonna brag to everyone that you’re his s/o and how you’re not good enough for anyone besides him.

Weisz is confident that you can take care of yourself but honestly will always back you up just in case.

We all know the future professor is a perv so there’s always gonna be a suggestion in his mind to make you wear the see through maid outfit.

Pino is like a daughter to you and you’ve vowed to protect her like everyone else.

He snores at night and although it’s annoying he’s a blanket for you because of how heavy he is (like your own personal weighted blanket.

You’ve caught him a fair amount of times trying to sneak into the spa, spouting excuses as to why he was “just passing by”.

Homura

Because of this girl’s habit of speaking out loud she tends to say a lot of things that she meant to keep in her head about you. Like praises, compliments, things she wants, etc. Somehow Homura manages to make a love sick fool of herself, you find it adorable and can’t help but tease her about it.

In my heart she’s a cuddler and holds onto you like a koala bear, if you ever have to get up then she’s gonna try her hardest to keep you there (unless it’s the bathroom) and pray that her begging works.

The whole crew adores you to pieces and can’t help but actively tease your relationship, including the four shining stars.

You’ve become the one thing she’d give up her life protecting and since she found her teacher on that planet, you can only imagine what she’d do if you got kidnapped or hurt by someone you better believe she’s gonna try and kill them (similar if not worse than shiki).

Homura tries her very best to not get flustered when you both bathe but there’s only so much she can hold down, praising you for how well you’re handling the “boiling water”.

Shock (Shiki x Rebecca One Shot)

Shiki could only watch in shock as Rebecca fell. Blood exited the Cat Leaper’s mouth, her right side and her chest having been pierced.

The gravity boy catches her before she hit the ground. She doesn’t appear to be moving. She doesn’t appear to be moving at all.

Shiki’s shock quickly turns into panic.

“H-hey, R-Rebecca,” he says, his voice noticeably starting to shake. “W-why aren’t you moving? Wake up. Wake up, dammit.”

No response.

“Please say something!” He shouts tearfully, shaking the girl’s body, hoping and praying for any kind of response. “Say something, Rebecca! Please!”

The only response Shiki would get from Rebecca was her head tilting to the left. Her body was already limp and seemingly lifeless.

"B-Be-Becca?" He muttered. And that's when he see it.

Blood on his hands. Her blood.

Shiki's panic turns into horrifying realization.

Rebecca was now dying in his arms.

She was now dying because of him. Because he tried to push his loved ones away from him.

This was all his fault.

The horror on his face culminated in a loud, howling cry. A cry so loud and horrible that his own consciousness started to shut down.

It was too much for him. Everything around him had turned black.

Shiki awoken, his body sweating up a storm as he breathed heavily. He saw that he was in the medical area aboard the Edens Zero.

"Shiki!"

The boy hears Happy's voice as the blue cat hugged his face.

"Thank goodness you're awake."

Shiki then sees all of his friends. Weisz Homura. Pino. Ivry. Mio. Kris. Kleene. And the rest. All by his side.

All...except for one.

Shiki wanted to apologize for everything. But, he had something else on his mind.

"Wh...where's Rebecca?" He asked. The others weren't sure how to respond to that question.

Before long, he ran across the halls of the medical bay until he finally sees...her.

She was laying on the medical bed. Several wires were connected to her body, monitoring her vitals. She looked almost...peaceful.

The beeping of the minutes let Shiki know that she was still alive.

And yet, she was clearly showing no signs of waking up.

Shiki was ready to break down into tears.

The others decided it was best to give Shiki some privacy and left him alone with the comatose Rebecca.

Shiki collapsed onto Rebecca's body and started to sob uncontrollably.

"I'm sorry, Rebecca. I'm so sorry," he cried repeatedly, the tear refusing to cease their flow.

Shiki chose to stay with Rebecca. He wants to be with her when...and if...she wake up.

And when it happens, he will do whatever it takes to make things right with her, come hell or high water.

"Rebecca!"

Shiki looked on in horror at the sight of his blonde friend laying on the ground, bruised and battered. Her eyes were closed.

"Come on, Rebecca... wake up. Don't leave me here." He placed his ear to her chest in hope of hearing a beat. Nothing.

"Damn it!" he cried. "Where the hell is Witch... Sister.. anyone!?"

Shiki knew the window was closing rapidly. He began pressing on Rebecca's chest, counting as he pumped.

One... two... three. Breath. One... two... three.

Placing an ear to her chest, he yelled in frustration.

"Come on, Rebecca! Don't die on me, please... please don't..."

Wiping away tears, Shiki started CPR once again.

"Weisz! Where are you, damn it? Rebecca needs help!" He called out into the silence.

Shiki couldn't stop. His best friend's life was at stake. How could he arrive too late? He'd promised her he'd always be there for her.


"Happy! Anyone?" Shiki's voice cracked under the strain. Sobbing, he pressed harder, doing anything he could to restart her heart.

A crack could be heard in the silence, one of Rebecca's ribs breaking under the pressue of CPR. Shiki winced, horrified at hurting her.

"Master Shiki?" a voice called to him. He whipped around, seeing a familiar little android.

"Pino! Where is everyone? Rebecca needs help,
" Shiki replied.

The little bot ran up to him, eyes widened.


"What happened, master? Is... is Rebecca going to die?"

"No!" Shiki yelled. "
Not if i can help it. Go get Sister Ivry, Pino. We need her help."

One... two ... three. Breath. One... two ... three.

After what felt like hours, Ivry and Pino returned. Sister promptly pushed the boy away to do her work. All Shiki felt was numb. How could he... fail Rebecca?

"Oh please, Mother. If you can hear me, save Rebecca. I don't care if I have to give my life for her. She means everything to me, just let her be okay." His sobs reverberated through the wall of the compound. Sniffling, Shiki thought back to all of the times they'd shared. He really wouldn't be where he was today without Rebecca.

"I'm... everything to you?" Rebecca's shaky voice brought Shiki right back down to reality. He whipped around to see her sitting up under the assistance of Sister. Her eyes shined bright, tears streaming down her face.

It felt as if all the air in Shiki's chest dissipated. He struggled to draw breath, but all he could really think about was her.

Rebecca is alive.

It took Shiki two seconds to cross the room and pull the blonde into a hug.

"Everything," he confirmed. "Don't ever leave me like that again, you hear me?"
