ShinDeku Day 6: Cuddles
First Post | Prev | Next
Hitoshi whispers something into his hair, quiet as a breath.
Izuku misses what it is, and he blinks open his eyes to tilt his head back and look with curiosity.
Hitoshi’s brows furrow at whatever he sees on Izuku’s face. “Oh,” he murmurs, touching Izuku’s cheek with his fingertips. It takes a moment for Izuku to realize that a tear has dripped down his face. “Tell me what’s wrong,” he gently demands.
Izuku sniffles once and smiles, feeling more tears well in the corners of his eyes. He tries to blink them away, but another escapes. “Nothing is wrong. This is just so nice,” he says, but Hitoshi doesn’t look very convinced.
He feels a little embarrassed and glances away, but a feather-light touch to his jaw makes Izuku look back. “I’m just a little sad we didn’t meet sooner,” he admits.
“But you have me now,” he says, dipping down to touch his lips to Izuku’s brow.
“Mmhm,” Izuku agrees with a sigh, his eyes slipping closed as Hitoshi shifts to press another gentle kiss to his nose.
He nudges his face to the side so he can kiss his cheek, the tip of his tongue briefly darting out to taste the trail of moisture clinging to his skin.
He moves again, and Izuku can feel the puff of breath next to his mouth as he pauses. “It’s okay to cry,” he whispers. “It’s okay.”
His lip wobbles as another tear escapes his closed lids. He swallows and dares to peek up at Hitoshi. He feels embarrassed that he’s crying like this over their sweet moment, but something about the way Hitoshi’s violet eyes dampen as he watches the newest droplet track down his face makes his heart flutter with a terribly soft emotion.
He feels seen. They don’t really understand each other yet, but there’s time to learn.
Hitoshi’s mouth is slowly shifting into a frown, and that just won’t do. Izuku rises on his toes to close the distance and press their lips together.
This kiss seems more potent than the others from before, like his heart has cracked open and his feelings are pouring out through a ragged wound. A sob sneaks up on him, and Hitoshi breaks their kiss to pull him into a tight hug. “I’ve got you. It’s alright,” he murmurs. A hand pets in his hair and runs soothing strokes down his back.
But Izuku doesn't want cuddles right now, he wants to smother the sharp sweetness that's building in his chest with something that burns brighter.
His fingers seek out a firm grip in Hitoshi's hair so that he can guide his mouth right back to where he wants it. His boyfriend gives in with a sigh, sweeping the barest hint of lips against his before pressing feather-soft kisses to his cupid's bow, his lower lip, the corner of his mouth.
His fingers flex against Izuku's back, pressing deep into one of his muscles with a heavenly stroke that rips a gasp from his lips, and Hitoshi wastes no time to swoop in and capture the next sounds that threaten to spill free with a fiery kiss.
Izuku tilts his head for a better angle, meeting Hitoshi's ferocity with his own, nipping at the tongue that's swept into his mouth before licking after it. He sucks briefly at Hitoshi's lower lip and grins at the resulting groan, his tears long forgotten.
Hitoshi pulls him closer and deepens the kiss, leaning over Izuku just far enough that he starts to lose his balance. He hangs on tight and lets his boyfriend take the lead. He returns Izuku's favor by reaching down to give his butt a firm squeeze, and Izuku squeaks out a sound of kiss-muffled surprise at how nice that felt.
Okay, yes, breakfast in bed, Izuku thinks, fully on board for this new direction they're headed.
Hitoshi jerks away with a hiss, and Izuku blinks dazedly up to see him scowling down at the floor by their feet.
A plaintive mew sounds in the resulting silence.
“Honey,” Hitoshi chastises the cat. “How could you?”
Mew, Honey replies with the most perfectly bland and innocent expression Izuku has ever seen on a cat.

Most Ardently
Most Ardently by TheKirkwallChampion
Izuku's initially confused as to why Ashido would ask him to help with their class work, especially as they already have Kacchan helping them. It becomes all too obvious that it's another “get Shinso and Izuku together” scheme the moment Izuku arrives to the library. What will Ashido put him through this time?

Merry and Bright (My Hero Academia)
ShinDeku AU
Summary: Deku playfully tries to get Shinsou to tell him what he got him for Christmas, but Shinsou is determined not to break and decides to turn the tables.
A/N: ShinDeku!! I need I say more? These boys still have my heart, even if I don't write for MHA as often these days. I figured if I was going to share an MHA fic this year, a Christmasy one for Christmas Day would be perfect! This is #4 of 4. Enjoy, and Merry Christmas / Happy Holidays! ^^
Word Count: 1,687
~~~
“Plehehehehease, Izuku!” Shinsou giggled, squirming in his more-than-a-friend, not-quite-a-boyfriend’s hold. He tried to cover up his sensitive sides but failed miserably. “I cahahahahahan’t tell you!”
“Can’t?” Deku challenged playfully, hugging him closer, curling his fingers in with devious purpose. “Or won’t?”
The day had started out fairly normally, all things considered. It was winter break now, and Shinsou was spending the day with Deku (and later with Deku’s mom as well, though she was at work right now, thank god) setting up the tree and generally decorating their apartment for Christmas. Once the tree was up and the lights had been turned on, Shinsou made an offhanded comment about how he needed to remember to bring Deku’s gift over the next time to put underneath of it, which spurred an excited Izuku Midoriya to ask what it was, which led to Shinsou saying of course he couldn’t tell him, and now…
“Ehehehahahahaha! Stohohohohohop!” the purple-haired boy squealed, grasping Deku’s wrists, only half trying to pull him away. He sure as hell wasn’t going to give up the goods, but he couldn’t honestly say he hated when the other tickled him like this. Tickling was kind of the glue that had stuck them together, so to speak. He was sure he could never hate it now.
Deku giggled along with him. “Not until you tell me, Toshi~”
That was another thing. Toshi. Deku had begun calling him that somewhere along the line, and it made Shinsou’s heart do all kinds of crazy backflips and somersaults. He melted at the nickname, but that wasn’t going to make him give in now. He was determined not to let slip what he’d gotten the stubborn greenette for Christmas.
“I cahahahahan’t!” he cried, then amended, “I wohohohohon’t! You cahahahan’t mahahahake me!”
“Oh?” Deku’s voice took on a wicked tone, suddenly dragging Shinsou away from the tree and over to the couch. He shoved the taller boy down face-first into the cushions, fingers digging wildly into his ribs and sides, making him howl. “I bet I can~”
“Nohohohohoooo!” Shinsou cackled, trying frantically to reach behind him and push Deku away, but when that failed and only opened the door for the smaller boy to dig into his underarms, he shrieked into the cushions and clutched onto them for dear life, using them as a lifeline to ground himself on as he laughed out his helplessness. “This isn’t fahahahahahahair! I cahahahahan’t tell you – it defeheheheats the puhuhuhuhurpose! Izuku!”
Deku just smiled and kept tickling him. Truthfully, he wasn’t actually trying to get his almost-boyfriend to confess anything. He just loved tickling him, loved hearing his laugh, watching the way it made his cheeks turn pink and cause that stoic demeanor to actually break into a grin for once. It was even better when he got panicky, though – that’s when Shinsou got almost unbearably cute. His heart raced at the mere thought of it.
“Looks like I’ll have to really tickle you, then…”
But instead of sliding down to Shinsou’s hips like he intended, Deku’s tickling ministrations slowly came to a stop.
Shinsou gasped for breath, still giggling, shooting him an apologetic look. “S-Sorry, Izuku. You left me no choice. Can you get off me, please?”
Deku silently did as he was told, standing obediently beside the couch as Shinsou sat up. He felt bad resorting to using his quirk, but this was another thing they’d talked about in their few months of being kind of together. Deku told him it was all right for him to use his quirk as long as he meant no harm, and when tickling each other, as long as the greenette hadn’t explicitly stated beforehand that no quirks were allowed.
In other words, since Deku hadn’t started off this tickle attack with the words, “no quirks,” it was fair play for Shinsou to turn the tables on him this way.
“Lay down on your stomach for me, would you, cutie pie?” Shinsou said softly, blushing at his own cutesy pet name, standing to the side as Deku did as he was told. Once he was exactly the way the violet-haired boy had been moments before, Shinsou gently climbed on top of him and placed his fingers just below his ribs, then released him from his mind-controlling hold.
Deku blinked, then gasped, knowing exactly what had happened since it had happened more than once before. “Ah! I forgot to say something!”
“Yes, you did,” Shinsou said in a low, teasing voice. He smiled at the way it made Deku shudder. “So…you think you can just tickle me into telling you what your Christmas present is, huh?”
“N-No?” Deku tried, bursting into giggles the instant a tiny bit of pressure was applied to his ribs. “Ehehehehehe! I dihihihihidn’t mehehehehean it! I was just hahahaving fun!”
“I’m sure you were. Now it’s my turn.” Shinsou slowly traced his bottom ribs, then moved up to the next set, then the next, all at an agonizingly slow pace. He smirked at Deku’s quiet snickers and impatient wiggling. “Let’s see. Which spot will make you give up this silly game of trying to get me to spoil your surprise?”
Deku whimpered. “Nohohohone of them! I’ll mahahahake you tehehehell me eventually!”
Shinsou beamed. This was one of Deku’s favorite things – pretending to be all high and mighty and in charge when he was clearly in no position to be smart-mouthing his way through anything, all in the hopes that his partner would completely wreck him into next week in retaliation.
And Shinsou would. But only after he made him beg for it.
“You’ll do no such thing. I’m the one in charge now, Izuku.” Shinsou dove his fingers under his arms and made him shriek in anticipation without actually beginning to tickle yet. “And you’ll do well to remember that.”
“I’ll gehehet out of this,” Deku challenged, shivering at the feeling of fingers in his armpits, even if they weren’t moving yet. “Y-Yohohou’ll spill eheheheverything, Toshi!”
“‘Toshi’? Oh, no, no, no. You don’t get to nickname me right now.” Shinsou dug in once, quick and hard, just to get his point across. “Give up. I’m not ruining Christmas for you, no matter how much of a Grinch I might seem.”
Deku twisted his head around to look up at him as much as possible, a slight frown on his features. “I don’t think you’re a Grinch, To-ahhh, Sh-Shinsou.”
Shinsou’s heart warmed at the sentiment. He chuckled. “Thanks. And I know. I’m just playing around. You know that, right?"
“Right,” the smaller boy affirmed, smiling again, wiggling nervously. “Well, are you going to do something, or are you going to just sit there and tease me all day?”
There it was. The first sign that his defiance was cracking. His first indication of how much he wanted to just be tickled already. Shinsou smirked.
“I don’t know. Maybe I just like watching you fidget.”
“I’m not a fidget toy!”
The taller boy laughed outright at that. “Oh, I think you are.” He wiggled his fingers gently into his armpits. “See? You’re fidgeting all over the place.”
“Ehehehehe! Nohohoho fair! You’re tihihihihickling me!”
“Am I? I hadn’t noticed.”
For almost two full minutes, Shinsou continued to gently poke and prod at random spots up and down Deku’s torso, from his underarms to his ribs and sides and even a little bit along his neck, which he’d learned was adorably ticklish as well. The greenette clenched his fists and giggled and squirmed but ultimately held out for an impressive amount of time before finally beginning to crack again.
“Tohohoshiiii,” he whined at last. “Whahahat are you wahahahaiting for?”
Victory was near. Shinsou smiled. “For you to give up.”
“But you’re nohohohot tickling me hahahard enough for that!”
“Oh, no, cutie. I think you misunderstand. I’m not going to tickle you into giving up your silly little quest for an early Christmas surprise.” Here Shinsou leaned down and spoke directly into Deku’s ear while wiggling a single finger into either side of his ribs, keeping him in soft giggles. “I’m only going to tickle you after you give up. It’s your reward, you see.”
“Reheheheheward?”
“Of course. You want me to tickle you, don’t you? Tickle you so much you can’t even remember what we’re doing here?”
Deku’s cheeks lit up bright red, and the sight made Shinsou melt a little. He really was the cutest thing in the world.
“Well? Don’t you?”
“Y-Yehehehehes,” Deku admitted through a little whine. “Plehehehehease, Toshi.”
Shinsou stopped his gentle tickling, further making his point. “Then you’d better promise you won’t try to tickle any spoilers out of me. That’s the only way you’ll get what you want.”
Apparently Deku’s determination to keep up the “tell me what my gift is” play didn’t outweigh his desire to get wrecked, because upon hearing those words he caved instantly.
“Okay, fine, I promise I won’t try to get you to tell me what you got me for Christmas. I won’t tickle any gift spoilers out of you. Just, please…” He looked up at Shinsou again with the best puppy dog eyes he had and begged, “Please, tickle me like you mean it. I really want to laugh.”
Shinsou had to admit, it was a fatal blow to his own determination. He smiled, kissed his cheek – something they’d only done a couple of times and only very recently – and murmured, “Good. I’ll tickle you to death now.”
Without wasting any time, the taller boy hooked his fingers into Deku’s hips and dug in, barely able to keep his straddling position at the sudden, wild reaction from his kind-of-boyfriend.
“AHAHAHAHAHAHA!! TOHOHOHOHOSHI WAHAHAHAHAIT THAT’S NOT FAHAHAHAHAIR EITHEHEHEHEHER!! NOT MY HIHIHIHIHIHIHIPS!!”
“Well, you said you really wanted to laugh!” Shinsou giggled along with him, fighting to keep his fingers in the right spot to drive him crazy. “I’m just granting your Christmas wish, Izuku~”
The both of them wound up tickling and playing together for so long that they completely lost track of time, but really, who needed Christmas decorations when there was such bright, merry laughter to be heard?
Do you know soulmates? Of course you know soulmates, who doesn't know soulmates. What if instead of having the predetermined person who will complete you, you chose among other folks and literally woven your souls together? And if the ritual failed you'd feel hollow until you found someone willing to share their soul with your ripped one forever?
This idea is just bouncing around my brain. Has been for months.
In a fantasy world, being able to share your magical abilities with one another if you wave your souls together, so a person wants to have a certain soulmate just to further their magic, and nuh-uh it doesn't work like that.
Shame on you. Shame on your cow.
I wanna write a ShinDeku story about that, that starts as your usual BakuDeku and KamiShin. I want to break some stereotypes on the characters' heads. I want to do so many things.
Feel the Rain, Hear the Heart
Fandom: My Hero Academia
Rating: General
Pairing: Shinsou Hitoshi/Midoriya Izuku
Warnings: Minor mentions of character death, read all tags before reading
Wordcount: 5023
Summary:
Shinsou Hitoshi always told himself he didn't need any friends; he was better off alone. That is until one day, he meets an uncannily familiar boy with green hair and finds that perhaps he was lying when he said he was okay with being alone. Maybe he just needed the right person to come along and help him see that.
tysm for the fic rec 🙏🙏🙏 holy shit i just finished reading it and ouuuggghhh i am on a kurogiri fic kick now im on my way to read everything in the tag. if you have any fic recs (kurogiri centric or otherwise!!) i am All Ears!!! im on a journey to read a bunch of mha fics since i got into the fandom like. a month ago. but if u have any shigaraki fics u like in particular … 👀
Hi anon!! I’m so happy you liked it!!
As for fic recs: hoooo boy I got into bnha 5ish years ago (I’m not proud of how long I’ve been here lmao) so I could go on and on. However, I only really started saving my favorite fics post-Kurogiri obsession, so these will mostly be about him! As for Shigaraki-centric stuff, I actually don’t have much, so sorry about that.
I’m going to try to keep this a reasonable length. I’ve already had to take out so many of my favorite fics from the list, just because otherwise it would be horribly long.
Still, this is about to be a Very Large Amount of fic recs, so just pick and choose based on what sounds appealing!!
Multichapter Kurogiri-adjacent:
it’s plain enough to see, but some of us are living in the past by AllISeeAreKingsAndThieves: Shiggy gets sent 2 years into the past and now has to figure out what to do differently. (Incomplete - 44k.)
Breaking through the storm clouds by Alana_Me: Kurogiri wakes up in the past, 17 years old all over again, back when he was still Shirakumo Oboro. This time around, he promises he’s going to save the League. (Incomplete - 17k.)
Just Shy of Tangible by pretentiousashell: an incredible erasermist fic that is absolutely overflowing with yearning. (Complete - 5k.)
Amalgamations of Ghosts by pretentiousashell: also an incredible erasercloud fic, ft both dadzawa and dadkumo, along with middle-school shindeku. (Complete - 23k.)
Single chapter, Kurogiri-centric:
hide your face, bury your grief by achievingelysium: oh man I have never been more obsessed with a person’s writing style. Aizawa-centric (but mainly about Kurogiri) erasercloud soulmate/hanahaki au. (Honestly, major rec for every fic ever by this person, especially their kurogiri/oboro-related ones.) (3k.)
we've all got nowhere to go by PitViperofDoom: a kurogiri-centric fic written pre-Kurogiri reveal. Years after AFO kicks the bucket, Shigaraki finds Kurogiri and forces him to reconcile his morals. (8k.)
stay with me (and be a ghost tonight) by YetAnotherGhost: Villain!Mic not only meets Kurogiri, but also learns how he was created. Emotions ensue. (2k.)
Single chapter, Shirakumo-centric:
Honestly, I’m just going to rec you these authors to check out: immaplatypus, dontartichoke, kumogiri, Maebee. All of them write only bangers.
Jangle by Tippytap: idk what it is about this fic that makes me scream with joy, but this is one of my favorite rooftop gang friendship fics. (1k.)
General BNHA:
don’t you just want to go apeshit? By kkachis, MargaritaDaemonelix: crack fic where Todoroki decides he does, in fact, want to go apeshit. (15k.)
Civilian Besties, Professional Enemies by katydid: AFO and All Might become online friends. It goes about as well as you’d expect. (7k.)
Passaggio by kashinoha: the most perfect mic character study ever. I don’t even know where to start with this one besides just: AAAAAAAAAAA. (5k.)
gaze into the cracked mirror by h1lo: this one’s a collection of fics spanning basically the entire cast of characters in bnha. It’s a goldmine full of incredible takes on usually under-developed characters, all in small, easy-to-digest pieces. (The Koda one is my favorite).
Though in my opinion, the best way to get fic recs is to check out ppl’s ao3 bookmarks and then filter those based on what you want to see (here’s mine!). There’s also moderated collections like Behold the Sacred Texts that are full-on goldmines.
Sorry for this being so long. There was an attempt to keep it short. Happy reading!!
an unedited taste of a fic for my shindeku au cause idk if i'll ever write more but hey maybe i'll be motivated if enough people are interested. breakdown of the au HERE and art for it HERE and HERE
Midoriya Izuku was nothing if not stubborn and determined. As long as he could remember, he wanted nothing more than to be a hero just like All Might. Years passed and even when he was told in no uncertain terms that hero work was nothing more than a dream due to his lack of a quirk, Izuku just worked harder. He took notes, filling volumes of notebooks. He would analyze clips of heroes at work and still imagine himself doing just the same. Even with the brutal bullying from other students, teachers, and his childhood friend, Izuku still wrote U.A. with trembling hands on his paper for future high schools. He was determined, but even those with the strongest will faced adversity and fell upon hard times.
Izuku stood on the roof of a building, trembling in the breeze. His idol. His hero. The one man he looked up to and wanted to be like had told him that he could not be a hero and just left him there.
Saying Izuku was devastated was putting it lightly.
All of the harsh words from earlier today and the years past come flooding back. Izuku's stomach rolls as he peers over the edge of the building. He was stubborn and determined, but we all have low points.
His phone buzzes in his pocket and while the deep pit in his stomach doesn't leave, he steps back from the edge to put his mother's mind at ease. The tears come again as he walks home and later once he's alone in his room.
The weeks and months that follow are harder than ever. U.A. was erased from the page, only a smudge of graphite and a near hole in the paper left. Inko tiptoes around the eggshells and encourages him. The school he'll be going to is one of the best in the country even if it wasn't a hero school. Izuku endures the bullying for the last stretch of middle school though it seems to die down as Izuku gives less and less reactions. He hides things from his mother but nothing is new on that front.
Months turn into a year and things improve somewhat. While people are still rude and the teachers turn blind eyes to some of the residual bullying, Izuku makes friends and quirks become less of a status symbol. They always will be but for once Izuku can dodge the question and most people don't bother pressing. Even with things improving at a new school and the collection of All Might merch in his room has greatly shrunk (either put into storage and sold), Izuku still aches for a placement amongst the heroes and the new hero students that immerge.
 By his second year of high school, Izuku is tired of not doing anything. He's tired of being told to be realistic. He's tired of getting pitying looks. He's tired of being told that he can still make an impact even without being a hero. He's tired.
Izuku waits until the apartment goes quiet before he changes. He puts on the hoodie his mother had mad him (it was an 'I'm sorry you didn't go to a hero school but here's your own kind of hero costume' gift), black jeans, knee and elbow pads, gloves, his red shoes, and a mask. Pulling the hood up around his wild green hair, Izuku squeezes himself out his window and tries to be as quiet as possible making it down the fire escape. He'd been lurking in forums about vigilantes and underground heroes. All Might has fallen to the wayside for him but heroes like Eraserhead and vigilantes like the League inspired him. So many of them essentially fought quirkless so he could do it too, right?
That first night was mostly uneventful. He lurked around and ducked behind corners when late night wanderers or college students returning from drinking would pass. Even without doing much but picking up some trash and petting stray cats, Izuku was enthralled. He knew he had to come back out again. For the first time in forever, he felt excited. As such, Izuku continued to sneak out at night. Most nights were just as uneventful as the first, but he began training. Inko was happy to see her son enthusiastic over something and caring for his health. She was more than happy to help him buy workout equipment and gear and make the food from the diet Izuku presented to him. With all of her excitement, she was none the wiser to her son sneaking out at night or the fact that he was diving deeper on the internet to actively find crime to bust.
---
"I never understand how you manage to deal with these night shifts," Tanaka whined. Izuku laughed as Tanaka continued to pout to him.
"I dunno... I guess I've always had a habit of staying up late," he replied with a half shrug, flicking on the turn signal before making their turn. The siren blared up ahead as they headed to the location of the emergency call.
"It's no fair. I have to drink like three cups of coffee at least to have even half the energy you have." One of the aforementioned cups of coffee sat in the thermos between them. Izuku just hummed with an amused look.
"Well, hopefully you've got the energy tonight cause we're about to pull up on the aftermath of a hero fight." Tanaka groaned and got ready as the ambulance slowed it's roll and came to a stop.
Both men hopped out of the ambulance and began assessing the situation. Thankfully, there wasn't much there for them to take care of. The only person who seemed to have sustained much of an injury sat on the curb, decked out in all black and purple. Drying blood was peaking out from under the man's purple hair line and creeping down to his tired eyes.
Mindjack.
"Hello sir, I'm Midoriya Izuku, and I'm here to do a quick medical assessment and patch you up real quick," Izuku said with a slight bow and a chipper voice. He tried to keep his excitement at seeing Mindjack down. He'd followed his class from the start (at first it was curiosity and keeping tabs on Bakugou but soon became it's own thing). He set the heavy first aid kit down on the ground and knelt down to get at eyelevel with Mindjack. The underground hero fully pushed his hood down and hesitated for a moment before lowering his artificial vocal cords. Ah, right, and Izuku needed to keep himself in check as well since he had eyes and the tired pro was attractive.
"Thank you... I just have a few questions, I'll do a cognitive test real quick, and then make sure all your injuries are cared for." Mindjack hummed in acknowledgment and that was enough for Izuku to dive right into his questions.
"Where are you injured at?" Izuku keeps his hands busy putting on gloves and getting out disinfectant and gauze.
"Just a cut on my head... Some bruises." Izuku nods and holds up the supplies.
"Do you mind if I clean up your head wound real quick?" There was a shake of the head, and Izuku got to work.
"Alright. Could you state the year?"
"2XXX"
"And who's the number one hero?" That got a face.
"Endeavor." Izuku hummed and pulled away, wound cleaned and gauze secured.
"Perfect. Now could you follow the light real quick?" He pulled out a pen light from his jacket pocket and clicked it on. He moved it around, watching Mindjack's eyes and checked for pupil dilation after before clicking it off again.
"Awesome. You did great. I can give you an ice pack if you want for the bruising, but otherwise you're all good to go." Izuku put everything away and clicked the first aid kit shut. "And thank you for your work, Mindjack." He flashed the hero a wide grin. That actually got a response out of him, pausing as he went to get to his feet.
"Oh." He gave Izuku a slightly surprised look which was a big change from the tired stare he had been sporting the whole time. He didn't actually ask anything, but Izuku could see he was confused how he knew him.
"I'm, uh, a big hero fan I guess...? I've been following you- andyourclass- since your first year." A crimson blush bloomed across Izuku's cheeks as he realized how it sounded. Mindjack looked him over for a moment before a small smirk graced his lips.
"Huh... Didn't know I had any fans. Well, it was nice meeting you Midoriya." Izuku could feel the heat radiating from his face, and he offered another quick bow.
"It was a pleasure to meet you as well. Stay safe."
Izuku couldn't help but stare after Mindjack as he went to talk to the police. Tanaka had finished up with his work and was waiting at the open back doors of the ambulance. Izuku could just feel his teasing gaze as he approached. He set the large medical kit down with a sigh and gave Tanaka a slightly pleading look.
"Please- just don't say it." Tanaka grew even more smug and lightly hit Izuku's shoulder with a fist.
"You tell him how you have a picture of him in your room." Izuku let out a whine and pushed Tanaka out of the way so that he could close up the back.
"It's not even like that. I have pictures of a lot of heroes and not in a weird creepy way."
"Whatever you saaay," Tanaka said in a sing song voice as they got back in the ambulance.
Needless to say, Izuku sulked on their way back to the hospital and later razzed Tanaka about his exhaustion as his only means of getting back for now.
I got a job interview for a full time job tomorrow and my nerves are currently staging a revolution in my stomach so I’m dumping a fic idea that I’m been mulling over here for a few months to get some of those nerves out.
Title: The no touchy zone
Premise: vigilant deku with a healing quirk with some shindeku on the side
Concept: vigilant healers have a policy of hands off applied to them by both villains and heroes because they can’t force them to use their Quirks to heal and if they try, the healer might just bolt to the other side out of spite or for protection. Hence the area that a healer claims as their territory is known as a “no touchy” zone so that the healer doesn’t refuse to heal someone.
Deku goes by White Rabbit because his Quirk relies on an actual physical timepiece like a wristwatch, pocket watch, etc. and the White Rabbit from Alice in Wonderland always has a timepiece with him.
People would bring their timepieces to Deku, and he can take the time from lifespan of the timepiece and can apply that to the wounds on someone. The lifespan thing is because everything has a time limit on how long it’ll function, so the lifespan of a timepiece would just be how long it works until something in it breaks.
Shinsō meets Deku when Aizawa stops by Dekus are to be healed while Shinsō is with him.
Immediate fascination because Deku is perpetually exhausted and is unintentionally cryptic. Deku likes him because he didn’t ask stupid questions or try to arrest him like some other interns had done previously
