First shiny in forever! Been wanting this pokemon in shiny form ever since running it in a draft league back in 2017. Even in a premier ball! And first try 😎

797 - Celesteela

Last one for the week we have Celesteela! Fun Fact: I made all of the legs going around Celesteela’s body before I remembered I was covering most of them up anyway!   The two rockets are attached to a reinforced joint on the bottom half of Celesteela rather than just floating in the air magically. Solid fuel is released into an ignition organ where it ignites and launches it into the sky when threatened or seeking new food. Its not uncommon to see a leg be regrown after the force of takeoff... takes it off...

I'm realizing that I'm missing one version exclusive for my Ultra Moon dex, and it's bleeping Blacephalon.

And normally I might be able to get one from the GTS, but it crashes my game whenever I try and use it.

back at it again with my insane AUs that make no sense to everyone except me

I can barely describe this myself but I'll sure try:

These were mostly based off the designs lining up well, they don't all make sense, some can best be described as "I just felt it made sense" so I'll try my best

Jaiden/Nihilego - Even with Baghera and Forever's connection with the Federation, Jaiden is preferred and is treated really nicely/Lusamine is obsessed it; blue; I was more thinking of the Lillie Nihilego from the anime

Vegetta/Buzzwole - buff; "its my six-pack!" - Vegetta/Buzzwole liking to flex and show off

Nihachu/Pheromosa - Very pretty and feminine, as well as super badass; Niki's sweater reminds me of Pheromosa's shiny

Tubbo/Xurkitree - Tubbo immediately building that giant drill "world eater"/Xurkitree having said that it once raided a powerplant; they both relate to machinery in some way; it was either Xurkitree or Guzzlord ngl

Philza/Celesteela - green; flying

Tina/Kartana - color palette has lots of orange and white; both relate to plants, Tina - carrots/Kartana - grass type

Felps/Guzzlord - Felp's square he's digging out/Guzzlord having eaten mountains and buildings

Slime/Poipole - Slime is.... slimy.../Poipole being called "UB Adhesive"

Ironmouse/Naganadel - Purple and Pink color scheme; this one is another one where there is little reason, it just felt right

Antoine/Stakataka - Antoine's builds (specifically the pillars at his Moon) reminded me of Stakataka; the skin I used in the photo, you can see stuff peaking through his arms and legs that match with Stakataka's eye things

Missa/Blacephalon - there is no explanation for this one; I guess Blacephalon's shiny matches well?

Quackity/Cosmog/Cosmoen - just a little guy; Quackity being stuck in water/Cosmoen being stuck, unable to move or do anything until it evolves

Etoiles/Solgaleo - Star/sun symbolism

BadBoyHalo/Lunala - Night/bat/etc. symbolism

ElQuackity/Necrozma - Darker color scheme; in ElQuackity's last days, he came in to say things, then it started raining/Necrozma stealing the light from the world

Mr. ------/Lusamine - He managed to get all the members to the island for whatever reason and Lusamine obsession with the Ultra Beasts (and the room with all the frozen Pokemon resembles the ice chambers the latest members were in)

Baghera/Lillie - Based off recent lore and the "Manager's Children" AU/headcanon; I really like how Lillie from shy and meek, to gaining confidence and wanting to go out on her own journey (both in game and in the anime),

Forever/Gladion - Also from "Manager's Children" AU/headcanon; Forever and Baghera having a sibling-like bond

Cellbit/Type:Null - Close relation to Forever/Gladion; Cellbit works for the Federation/Type:Null was created by the Aether Foundation

The Sizeable Surprises event has been announced in Pokemon GO. It runs from Apr4 at 10am until Apr29 at 8pm, local time. Shiny Wimpod, Kartana, and Celesteela make their debut, and players have a higher chance of encountering XXS/XXL Pokémon.

The event-themed Collection Challenges reward Razz Berries, Pinap Berries, XP, and encounters with Wimpod and Wailmer.

What Pokémon do you think Wanda and Lorna would have ?

Love the assumption that I know enough about Pokemon to answer this-- I do, of course, but I don't think it's ever come up before. Anyways, I figured I'd just go ahead and do the rest of the Maximoffs while I was at it.

Lorna-- Bronzong; Electrike; Magnemite (shiny); Vibrava; Golett; Celesteela

A combination of steel, electric, and ground-type pokemon (bc she's a geophysicist!) and-- most importantly-- they're all green!

Wanda-- Mismagius; Hatterene (shiny); Florges (red); Oricorio (baile style); Delphox; Spectrier (shiny)

A primarily ghost, fairy, and psychic team with a witchy aesthetic and red coloring. Baile Oricorio is based on flamenco, which doesn't fit Wanda's background, but I love it because I'm gitano.

Pietro-- Zebstrika; Grimmsnarl (shiny); Raboot; Rapidash (shiny); Chewtle; Glastrier

Grimmsnarl is Hatterene's male counterpart and the shiny form has white hair so I thought it was a good fit. Chewtle is here bc Mr. Dibbles. I made up a headcanon for this AU that Spectrier and Glastrier are legendary pokemon native to Transia.

Billy-- Misdreavus; Hattrem; Sobble; Meowstic; Pumpkaboo; Cosmog

Billy and Tommy have younger versions of some of Wanda and Pietro's pokemon. I like that Meowstic is wearing a scarf.

Tommy-- Blitzle; Morgrem (shiny); Scorbunny; Tyrogue; Phantump; Bolthund

Phantump and Pumpkaboo are said to contain the souls of lost children, which I thought was fitting for Wanda's phantom babies.

Luna-- Minior; Lunatone; Ralts; Hatenna (shiny); Teddiursa; Stoutland

Ralts can sense emotions, Hatenna is the baby of the witch family, and Stoutland is here bc Lockjaw :)

A very large character draw I did for an event piece in an RP group I am in! All my character's Pokémon gijinka types got swapped for April Fool's Day into either Ultra Beasts or Paradox Pokémon.

Safe to say I have a bias for Ultra Beasts-

Ms. Newbabel - the obvious choice would be Mabostiff, but Fuecoco would be a good fit to me, that or Totodile

Pavia - again, obvious choice here is Houndoom, but i think he’d have a Sprigatito but he wouldn’t admit it if asked

Lilya - a Pawmott would fit her as a partner, but other than that, Celesteela

Druvis - Lilligant, specifically Hisuian form, or Serperior

Sweetheart - she’d have either a yellow Furfrou specifically or a Salazzle

Zima - Shiny Rookidee or Fletchling, any bird really but these two mainly

Dikke - i think she’d have a Corviknight or a Kingambit, just for the vibes
