COMMISSIONS OPEN
Pokemon Icons!
These are quick and easy, and I've made the ones below for folks in the past (so please don't use them yourself!) - prices start at $10 for a really simple Pokemon (like Ditto or Charmander) and would range up to $25-30 for a really complex Pokemon (like Eternatus or Celesteela). You can add a second Pokemon for $5-$20 depending on the Pokemon (basically, a $5 discount on the second 'mon), and I just need 2-3 colors for the gradient!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Standard Commissions
Your character, drawn by me! I'm willing to do furries/anthro, fanart, OCs, (some) NSFW and most other things tbh - mechs and (mild) gore I am willing to attempt, but don't have much experience with. A second character can be added at a 20% discount, and complex poses may come with an upcharge at my discretion. Base prices:
Bust: $15 line drawing | $25 single-color drawing | $40 full-color drawing
Half-body: $20 line drawing | $30 single-color drawing | $45 full-color drawing
3/4-body: $25 line drawing | $35 single-color drawing | $50 full-color drawing
Full-body: $35 line drawing | $45 single-color drawing | $60 full-color drawing
Tumblr media
Single-color/monochrome and full-color both come with simple shading, and two-character monochrome drawings can have a different color for each character. Backgrounds can be added starting at $10 for something simple (e.g. a city skyline, a night sky) and going up from there depending on complexity. Here's some of my recent work!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I accept PayPal and Venmo for commission payment, and if you have any questions you can send an ask or message to me here! Additionally, if you'd like to help out but you don't have any characters you want drawn, I do have a Redbubble store and I take requests for my pride designs if there's a flag you want that I don't have!

back at it again with my insane AUs that make no sense to everyone except me
I can barely describe this myself but I'll sure try:
These were mostly based off the designs lining up well, they don't all make sense, some can best be described as "I just felt it made sense" so I'll try my best
Jaiden/Nihilego - Even with Baghera and Forever's connection with the Federation, Jaiden is preferred and is treated really nicely/Lusamine is obsessed it; blue; I was more thinking of the Lillie Nihilego from the anime
Vegetta/Buzzwole - buff; "its my six-pack!" - Vegetta/Buzzwole liking to flex and show off
Nihachu/Pheromosa - Very pretty and feminine, as well as super badass; Niki's sweater reminds me of Pheromosa's shiny
Tubbo/Xurkitree - Tubbo immediately building that giant drill "world eater"/Xurkitree having said that it once raided a powerplant; they both relate to machinery in some way; it was either Xurkitree or Guzzlord ngl
Philza/Celesteela - green; flying
Tina/Kartana - color palette has lots of orange and white; both relate to plants, Tina - carrots/Kartana - grass type
Felps/Guzzlord - Felp's square he's digging out/Guzzlord having eaten mountains and buildings
Slime/Poipole - Slime is.... slimy.../Poipole being called "UB Adhesive"
Ironmouse/Naganadel - Purple and Pink color scheme; this one is another one where there is little reason, it just felt right
Antoine/Stakataka - Antoine's builds (specifically the pillars at his Moon) reminded me of Stakataka; the skin I used in the photo, you can see stuff peaking through his arms and legs that match with Stakataka's eye things
Missa/Blacephalon - there is no explanation for this one; I guess Blacephalon's shiny matches well?
Quackity/Cosmog/Cosmoen - just a little guy; Quackity being stuck in water/Cosmoen being stuck, unable to move or do anything until it evolves
Etoiles/Solgaleo - Star/sun symbolism
BadBoyHalo/Lunala - Night/bat/etc. symbolism
ElQuackity/Necrozma - Darker color scheme; in ElQuackity's last days, he came in to say things, then it started raining/Necrozma stealing the light from the world
Mr. ------/Lusamine - He managed to get all the members to the island for whatever reason and Lusamine obsession with the Ultra Beasts (and the room with all the frozen Pokemon resembles the ice chambers the latest members were in)
Baghera/Lillie - Based off recent lore and the "Manager's Children" AU/headcanon; I really like how Lillie from shy and meek, to gaining confidence and wanting to go out on her own journey (both in game and in the anime),
Forever/Gladion - Also from "Manager's Children" AU/headcanon; Forever and Baghera having a sibling-like bond
Cellbit/Type:Null - Close relation to Forever/Gladion; Cellbit works for the Federation/Type:Null was created by the Aether Foundation

“Oh come on, buddy.” Drayton tossed aside the cracked open pokeball, “That was the 50th one.”
Poipole trilled, floating around his head.
“I thought you wanted to be caught-”
He was interrupted by a rumble that almost shook the whole school.
He got off his bed, “Stay here. Kay, buddy?”
— 🗝️ — 🐉 —
Silver leaned on his boyfriend’s shoulder. “Ugh, how long was I asleep?”
“Like 60% of the flight.”
The two stepped out of the jet. “Is this what hangover feels like,” Silver complained.
“You might be actually hungover-”
“Gladion!” Drayton casually slung his arm around the blonde’s shoulder, much to the protest of Silver. “Glads, Gladdy, Gladiator-”
Gladion sighed, “What do you want.” He shook his head at the elder, “We’ve literally been here for a few minutes. Arc,” He pointed up, where the Aether private jet still hovered.
“Gladinator. My dude. Iiiiii desperately need to talk to you.” The duo glanced at Silver, “In private.”
Gladion’s eyes narrowed, “About what, exactly?”
“Uh, come with me and I’ll tell you…?”
Gladion rolled his eyes and glanced at Silver, who nodded tiredly. “I’ll drop off our stuff, or whatever.”
— 🗝️ — 🐉 —
Gladion reached for the handle of Drayton’s unlocked door, which he quickly blocked.
“I need you to promise that you won’t freak.”
Gladion raised his eyebrows, “Okay, I guess?”
Drayton opened the door, ushering the younger in.
“…Are those my posters?”
“Sorry.” Drayton shrugged, flopping onto one of the beanbags, gesturing for Gladion to sit with him. “It was… for the greater good.”
“What’re you even going on about-”
“You can come out now, lil buddy!”
Poipole floated after the bathroom, perching on Drayton’s head and clutching his hair like a flabébé with their flower.
Gladion just sat, his jaw hanging open. “Where’d you get that?”
“Oh, they just popped out of a portal in the ‘rarium-”
“They what??” Gladion abruptly sat up, “This is bad. Bad, bad, bad. If one portal broke open, then more could follow so easily…”
“Dude-”
“This is terrible. I’ve got to let mother know-”
“Dude. Gladion.” He waited for the other boy to turn to him, “That was weeks ago.”
Gladion’s eyes widened further. “Weeks? Did anything happen…?”
“Nope. Just a tiny lil portal and them.” They trilled when Gladion glanced at them.
Gladion frowned in thought as they sat in silence for a few minutes.
— 🗝️ — 🐉 —
Gladion glanced at the ultra beast, “Can I-?”
“Look at ‘em? Sure. If they’re okay with it.”
Gladion gently picked them up by the scruff, investigating them as they giggled.
“Looks like a young one.”
“You’ve seen one of them before?”
Gladion raised an eyebrow at Drayton.
“Yeah. I was expecting that answer.” He grinned as he stood and stretched. “Oh, ‘nother thing.” He pointed towards his pile of pokeballs, “You know how to catch ‘em?”
Gladion nodded, pulling out a beast ball from his belt. “Practically impossible without one of these.” He offered it to Drayton, who grabbed it.
“C’mon, buddy.” He tossed the ball in the air, which poipole swirled into, landing back in Drayton’s hand with a satisfying click.
“Get your phone out.” Drayton did as commanded, and Gladion dropped him a few files. “That’s everything the database had on their line.”
“Line?” Drayton skimmed one of the documents, “Poipole, huh?”
“Mmm.” Gladion grinned, “You got lucky. The only thing I really remember about them is that they’re artistic.”
“I’d know about that,” He glanced at the covered wall.
Gladion sighed. “If the portal brought a kartana or celesteela, I don’t know what would’ve happened to the terrarium.”
The duo sat back down as Drayton pocketed the beast ball.
“You won’t mind me checking in on them every now and then…?”
“Nah. It’s fine.”
— 🗝️ — 🐉 —
Gladion glanced at his phone, “So… is that everything?”
“Uhhh, a few more things.”
“Course there is.” Gladion sat expectantly when Drayton didn’t move, “Well?”
“Hold on. ‘M tryin’ to remember where I put it.” He sat for a few more seconds, before going to a shelf and pulling out a file folder. “So, Y’know how we’re down an elite four member? Hugh was your buddy, right?”
Gladion nodded. “What does this have to do with me, though?”
“Wellll,” He gestured to the folder. “Your battle data from last year was off the charts. Amarys chose you specifically as the next candidate.”
“Huh.” Gladion flipped through the folder, a small smile on his face.
“It was you or Silver. But take it from the Drayster,” He grinned, “I think you’re a better candidate.”
Gladion placed the folder back down. “You know what? I’ll do it.”
“Really? I thought’d be harder to convince you.”
Gladion shrugged. “Been itching for some battling lately.”
“Cool then.” Drayton grinned. “Well get everything sorted out, then!”
— 🗝️ — 🐉 —
Neither spoke for a few seconds.
“Are we done-”
“There’s one more thing.”
Gladion waited.
“So. You’ve got a cousin right?”
“Yeah? Multiple.”
“Well. If I said I was romantically interested in one of them, what would you say…?”
“You’re too old for Sarah. And she’s taken, anyways.”
“I don’t know who that is.”
“Well, uh.” Gladion thought again. “Perrin’s too old for you, I think. I’ve also heard rumors that she’s with that Kalos gym leader-”
“Don’t know of her either.”
He waited for Gladion to process. “…Arven?”
When Drayton didn’t respond, Gladion laughed. “Him? You would’ve had a better chance with any of my other cousins.”
“…I know.” He slid down in the beanbag, placing his head in his hands.
“That’s in addition to the fact that he’s straight.”
“I knowwwww…” Drayton slid farther down.
“How’d you even meet?”
“Rotomblr.”
Gladion paused, before sighing, “Tell me what you see in him. Is this just a crush or-?”
“He’s genuinely one of the nicest people I’ve ever met. Well, not met- you know what I mean.” He smiled sappily to himself, “He always wants to help everyone, but is adorably awkward and humble. But his temper, his snark, his passion, his drive. That’s what I really like about him. How he can be so… powerful.”
“…Ew.”
“I didn’t mean it in that way and you know it.” Drayton laughed, “‘Sides, you and Silver are probably way-”
Gladion shoved him lightly, laughing genuinely. “Shut up.”
Drayton grinned as he continued, “That’s in addition to his regular ol’ hotness, though. Like, he’s smoking. Sizzling. I’ve never seen someone who can be rugged and pretty at the same time. And have you seen how muscular he is? His biceps-”
“Pfft- that’s enough.” Gladion smiled. “You’ve convinced me.”
Gladion only shook his head, smiling sadly, “You probably know him better than I do at this point. Maybe I can give you his number-”
“Uh, no need.” Drayton awkwardly adjusted his collar, “Got that already. We chat a lo- every once in a while.”
“What?” Gladion frowned. “That guy. Me, Sarah and the rest of the family haven’t spoken with him in ages…”
Drayton didn’t know if he should mention the video call they had, so he didn’t. He stared into his lap. “Maybe it’s because with you guys he feels like there’s some sort of expectation to live up to, but with me, we just talk. Maybe he’s scared that you won’t recognize him after he’s grown and changed. Maybe he’s scared that you’ll hate him after all the time, and he feels alone because no one knows what his experience is like, fully. Maybe-”
“Dude.” Gladion patted Drayton on the shoulder, and smiled reassuringly. “I don’t think you need my advice at this point.”
He sat up and moved to the door.
“You want the posters back?” Drayton haphazardly called out.
Gladion peeked under the corner of one at the paint, “Nah. Just keep em.”
When the door clicked shut, Drayton was alone with his thoughts once again.

ok. now new types.
cosmic-type.
space, stars, meteors, black holes would fall under it. resistant to a number of things, weakness to bug n' poison-types. strong against psychic-types. many extraterrestrial pokemon would become this, especially if they were previously psychic-types.
legendary cosmic-types:
Deoxys would be pure cosmic-type
Jirachi would be pure cosmic-type, or cosmic/fairy-type
the creation trio (Dialga, Palkia, and Giratina) would have their dragon-typing replaced by cosmic-type ONLY in their origin forms
Hoopa would have it's psychic-typing replaced by cosmic-type
Cosmog's line would have it's psychic-typing replaced by cosmic-type, including Necrozma (Lunala cosmic/ghost, Solgaleo cosmic/steel, and Ultra Necrozma cosmic/dragon)
Eternatus would be cosmic/dragon
non-legendary cosmic-types:
Lunatone, Solrock, and Minior would be rock/cosmic-types (minior's core form would be pure cosmic-type)
Clefairy's line would be fairy/cosmic
Staryu's line would be water/cosmic
Elgyem's line would be cosmic/psychic
Gothita's line would be psychic/cosmic
Porygon-Z would be normal/cosmic
Celesteela would be steel/cosmic
already existing moves that would be cosmic-type: photon geyser, prismatic laser, cosmic power, gravity, wish, teleport, meteor mash and meteor beam
new cosmic-type moves:
Orbital Laser/Strike (signature moves for Deoxys, Laser being special and Strike being physical.)
Reentry Meteor (variation of Head Smash, 150 dmg and big recoil)
Supernova (variation of Explosion/Self-Destruct)

A Pokémon team for Scotty!
Notes:
Flareon is his first partner Pokemon. Not only that, she has the distinction of being the eldest Pokemon aboard the Enterprise. At the start of the mission, Flareon is thirty years old. Scotty has had her since he was a young boy and has taken very good care of her. In addition, my headcanon is that the Eevee line is very long-lived when properly cared for. Everyone loves Flareon, and she’s become the Engineering Division’s collective pet.
Corviknight is very smart, and can use tools. However, she also likes hoarding shiny objects that Scotty needs for his engineering work. Also likes to bring back “gifts” (like cool rocks and stuff) to the crew.
Out of all the crew, Scotty has the most Joltiks— so many, even he can’t count them all. He does not understand why Chekov calls him “Joltiks Georg.” Is it some sort of slang?
Klinklang is a common Pokémon for Starfleet chief engineers to have, since it is the engineer’s job to “keep the gears turning” so to speak.
The last two Pokémon on the team (Stoutland and Meowstic) are based on the Scottish terrier and the Scottish Fold cat, respectively. They’re both very loyal to their Trainer.
Not counting the hundreds of Joltiks, Meowstic is Scotty’s newest Pokémon. He found it in its basic form (Espurr), while on an away mission to a cold planet, and took it aboard the Enterprise to warm it up. He intended to give it to Spock (who has more experience with Psychic type Pokemon), but this Espurr had already imprinted on Scotty and wouldn’t accept anyone else as its Trainer.
Names all of his Pokémon, and speaks of them as if they were his own children— just like the Enterprise.
Other Pokémon he has:
Rotom
Chandelure
Eelektross
Togedemaru
Excadrill
Sawsbuck
Genesect
Heliolisk
Vikavolt
Celesteela
Boltund
Kilowattrel

How much weight can the rails hold? Surely a train car can’t hold like a Celesteela or something
Actually, you’d be surprised! The rails can support a lot more weight than you think. The tracks and the cars for the battle lines are specifically built to support extra weight.
Also, celesteelas might not actually be allowed on the battle lines anyways.

Note: This is unfinished and I likely won’t be returning to it. It features scenes without full context, ends abruptly and is littered with placeholders/notes. If that’s a dealbreaker for you, you’re better off skipping this.
---
It took some time for the UB Task Force to receive their next orders, but when they did, it was a doozy.
Fortunately, Celesteela had only arrived in the Wild Area for a few minutes before being driven back. The damage had been minimal, but it was an incident that couldn’t be overlooked, and once attention was drawn to Galar, they found that reports of strange, hostile Pokemon kept cropping up. Word of mouth and social media trails suggested Kartana and either Pheromosa or Blacephelon had also been sighted, which meant one of two things:
Something was causing wormholes to form in the Galarian wilderness, or the Ultra Beasts were actively seeking something out. Either way, it had to be dealt with at once.
Galar’s dreary weather was [idk] after the [?] of Alola, so Anabel was incredibly grateful that they were able to carry out their investigation immediately. Perhaps there might have been a safer avenue than seeing a wormhole form in the distance and legging it all the way from the Wild Area Station, but she wasn’t arguing with results.
At least the local Pokemon and trainers had the good sense to vacate the area as Nihilego emerged, save for the one who’d planted his feet and retrieved a pokeball from his belt with clear intent.
“Sir!” She called, doing her best not to sputter from the rain that pelted down on her, “[get out of there]”
Instead of complying with her heartfelt advice, he threw his free arm out, as if to bar her path.
“Behind the yellow line, please!” He said and, when her momentum slowed, withdrew his hand to adjust the angle of his hat, the other empty and pointing to the sky.
His chosen Pokemon-- an unnecessarily large Gliscor-- hissed in anticipation and sized the invader up. It barely needed orders as it drove the Ultra Beast back, which was important information that Anabel decided to stow away for later.
“It was reckless to charge full steam at an active threat,” The man said as his Gliscor found an unsteady perch on his shoulders, lifting its wings to keep the humans out of the rain. He glanced up at it in silent thanks and, without making contact, steered Anabel to the nearest viable cover, “Those ones in particular are quite nasty if you get too close.”
[…]
He inclined his head, and due to the way his shoulders drooped, that was the only real clue that he meant it as a shallow bow.
“Warden Ingo. Pleased to make your acquaintance.”
---
Ingo had snapped back to awareness with a remarkable sense of deja vu. Why exactly, he couldn’t say. The only things he could say with any certainty were that he had his partners at his side, a treasured gift in his arms, and the honored title of ‘Warden’.
It wasn’t ideal, but it was enough.
He’d worked out almost immediately that his default language wasn’t the norm here, though, mercifully, he’d been able to understand the people around him perfectly well-- with an exception for the particularly thick accent of which he still couldn’t make sense. This was a pattern he continuously fell into; muscle memory carried him through a situation one way-- oftentimes an objectively incorrect way-- only for him to realize that he actually knew the right way to go about it and belatedly adapt. It was a phenomena that included, but wasn’t limited to automatic doors, city maps, PA systems, and public thoroughfares.
Frankly, it was humiliating, and the opportunity to deal with a situation he knew he had in hand was a relief.
The Pokemon that appeared to challenge him had clearly been a [substantial] foe, but the otherworldly aura it wreathed itself in hadn’t been the threat display it might have hoped; something about it felt familiar, like he was particularly well equipped to handle this status [buff], and though he didn’t know enough about the species to counter it right out of the gate, he’d been able to figure it out within a reasonable amount of time. He would hesitate to call the experience nice-- the Pokemon had been incredibly aggressive-- but at the same time, it had been a battle of a caliber he felt he hadn’t seen in some time. A serious battle. Something in the back of his mind told him that those were the best kind.
Eventually, after several more encounters with similarly hostile Pokemon and one belligerent turnstile, he’d left for the comparative peace of the wilds. The Pokemon didn’t stop appearing-- and he wasn’t sure he wanted them to-- but it was a pace he found far easier to live at, foraging for materials and trading with other travelers. Of particular note was the protective incubator he’d been offered in exchange for the linking cord taking up space at the bottom of his satchel; though he had little understanding of what the cable was meant to do, he felt he no longer had need of it, and that it was well worth the promise of safety for the egg he carried with him.
For roughly a week, that was what life consisted of: keeping his Pokemon happy and healthy, ensuring the egg’s needs were being met as he waited for it to hatch, and battling anything that approached with malicious intent.
And then, for the first time, someone came running toward the aggressive Pokemon.
He didn’t know where the instinct to hold her back came from, nor what, exactly, the words had meant, even as they spilled from his own lips-- only that it was his duty to keep his passengers safe, and to let her run, unchecked, into danger was unthinkable.
Amusingly, she’d felt much the same about him.
---
Initial findings were promising, so it was difficult not to feel for Warden Ingo.
How long ago, now, had it been since Anabel had found herself in his position? Since she’d been sat down and interviewed on a subject she simply didn’t know the answers to: herself. A decade later, and she’d come to terms with the fact that the person she’d been had given way to who she was today; she wasn’t coming back, and there was no use in dwelling on it.
What they’d gleaned from Warden was much of the same. Though he puzzled parts out in the time since, he’d woken without any concept of where or when he was, with just his Pokemon and name to tie him to his past.
Combined with the incessant draw of Ultra Beasts toward him, he was checking all of the boxes. There was little doubt Galar’s recent UB sightings had something to do with the latest victim of ultra wormholes. A new Faller.
They’d done their due diligence, of course, but search results were slim, and reports suggested that there was an annoying overlap with Unovan public transport-- which left them to work with what they could actively observe.
The tendency to slip into absentminded Sinnohan and specific Pokemon he kept on him were major indicators, and, though the unusual pokeballs couldn’t offer any information in terms of model or registration, the practice of hand carving them was limited to Johto. It narrowed Warden’s point of displacement substantially.
Unfortunately, even with a refined search, they kept getting the same historical figure, over and over again. Looker had told them to take a different track-- to scan through any unsolved missing persons cases involving men aged forty and up. There was no telling when Warden had fallen through, so he’d been loathe to set a cap on how far back they should go but, at the very least, it was a comparatively sparse demographic in this regard.
That said, it was still a lot.
---
It was months before they became aware of a rather substantial oversight.
The two of them had crossed paths one morning, Anabel offering a brief, “Warden,” that was immediately answered with, “Inspector.”
She didn’t know why it had eaten at her that day, but, for some reason, the [formality] stuck out as particularly silly, and she was done humoring it.
“You realize we’re somewhat past the formalities, right? I won’t be offended if you call me Anabel.”
He paused, the corners of his mouth tugging down in a thoughtful frown, “I was simply following your tracks. It would be terribly rude not to address you by your title when you use mine.”
She felt her brows crease. “What do you mean, your title?”
“Warden,” He said simply, “Of the Pearl Clan, in fact.”
Anabel felt her fingers twitch toward her pocket for a writing implement and, after a second, realized there was no reason to resist the urge. With a pen and notepad in one hand, she took W-- him by the arm and led the both of them to the nearest meeting room. There was no resistance, but his resignation was clear in the heavy sigh he bit back as he found a seat opposite her.
“Do you mean to tell me you’ve remembered something from your life before falling?” / “You never mentioned a ‘Pearl Clan’ before.”
He gave a short nod, sweeping his hat up with one hand and running the other through his hair. “Indeed. I don’t believe the tracks have fully connected yet, but the [major] stations are there to [patronize].”
Drawing a carefully even breath, Anabel noted that down-- albeit without the metaphor.
“We’ll start with your title, then. If ‘Warden’ isn’t your given name, what’s it meant to convey?”
“It’s a position one might hold within the clan, marking them as caretaker and liaison to one of Hisui’s Noble Pokemon.” Without being prompted, he added, “A Noble is a Pokemon of particular might and intelligence, descended from a line thought to be blessed by Sinnoh itself.”
Anabel’s pen didn’t slow for a moment, even under the onslaught of information, “You did fall from Sinnoh, then?”
“Hisui, actually. Though the word is the same, the Sinnoh region is distinct from Sinnoh, the entity. It was thought to be a creation god, and, for a time, the [title] was misattributed to Palkia and Dialga, respectively.”
“Hisui.” Anabel echoed, dubious, and underlined that term, specifically, “I’d appreciate it if you could point it out on a map some time, but that can wait for now. Can you tell me about your ward?”
He nodded, expression lifting just the tiniest amount. It still looked an awful lot like a scowl. “I worked with The Lady of The Cliffs, a Pokemon called Sneasler. She was the one who entrusted me with her egg when our tracks diverged.”
The pen strokes paused.
“Ward-- Ingo. That’s your name, correct? Ingo, I think I may need to remind you that your Sneasel is a species that was thought to be extinct. It’s one thing for an egg to surface, but unless Hisui is an incredibly insular place, I don’t know how it’s possible for all of that to be true.”
Ingo tapped at his cheek and hummed-- not agreeing, but not disagreeing either. “They were quite wary of outsiders, yes, but to call them insular is a stop too far.”
---
Anabel became aware of the disturbance in reception the same way she was informed of most things: with about three minutes’ warning before she was expected to intervene.
According to [receptionist], a man had come in asking after Ingo, by name, which was a first; usually anyone without an inside contact referred to him as ‘the Sneasel’s caretaker’ or ‘the Warden’. Allegedly, the man was citing some kind of familial tie; while ludicrous, it wasn’t entirely impossible that there could be something there. Maybe Ingo had yet to remember a sibling, and this potential relative could trace his lineage back to when the Warden had fallen.
She’d told [receptionist] that she’d find Ingo and be down momentarily, and could [they] be a bit more specific?
“His name is Emmet; he says they’re twins.”
Grimacing, Anabel turned the corner and said, “I’m sorry to say that, unless he’s also from Hisui, there’s no way Ingo is the person he’s looking for.”
“Unovan,” [They] said shortly, “The distant cousin angle’s still on the table, though-- his brother’s name is Ingo. It could be a traditional thing.”
Anabel hummed, noncommittal, and weighed her options. She’d been about to turn the other way entirely and let this blow over, but that was a little too odd to be coincidence. […] She sighed. “We’ll be there in five minutes.”
[...]
The first thought to cross Anabel’s mind, upon reaching reception, was ‘No wonder he was confused; they do look alike.’ A close second was that Ingo was no longer next to her.
Coming in third was the realization that, until this very moment, she’d never seen him smile.
There might have been a fourth, had it not been drowned out by the overjoyed, “EMMET!” that [overtook] the room.
Funny. Anabel had never mentioned their visitor’s name.
The other man said something that was promptly lost in the valley of Ingo’s high collar, answered by a choking sound that could have been either a laugh or a sob as Ingo mirrored him, resting his head on the other’s shoulder. For several awkward minutes, Anabel idled at the door, unsure whether it would be best to afford them a moment of privacy, or stay and ensure her fellow Faller’s well being.
She had no idea what was going on. Ingo couldn’t know this man. He couldn’t.
[…]
“You… know each other, then?”
The smile Emmet sent her way was just short of venomous, “We have the same face. So yes. We’re acquainted.”
Ingo swayed deliberately, lightly bumping the other man’s shoulder, with a muted, “She’s just doing her job. Behave.”
“It’s a stupid question.” The first announced, not even trying for subtlety.
Anabel sighed internally; if he’d had a problem with that question, he wasn’t going to take kindly to its follow up, “Can I ask how?”
Emmet barked a laugh, clear and sharp edged, refusing to humor it. In his stead, Ingo provided, “We’re brothers-- twins.”
“You just remembered that?” Anabel asked dubiously. She was well aware that, for all the legitimate good it did him, Ingo could be incredibly idealistic; for his sake, she had to make sure that he wasn’t just jumping at the first explanation that presented itself.
“It’s not that,” / “Quite some time ago, I was reminded of… fragments of my life prior to Hisui. This is more a matter of connecting the cars that already existed.”
[…]
“...are you telling me you fell through not one, but two ultra wormholes?”
“I can’t say how I arrived in Hisui with any certainty,” / “But I can tell you this much: I passed through one such wormhole to arrive here, and it was entirely by choice.”

《 Jasmine’s Travelogue — Top 10 Favorite Locales 》
#10. Seafoam Islands, Kanto
Two tiny islands in southernmost Kanto, the Seafoam Islands boast crystal clear waters and a temperate climate. Perfect for day visits and beach trips (or for the more adventurous, spelunking the maze-like tunnels that extend beneath the isles). Notable visits: Jasmine and father Indigo’s stop on their way to Olivine when Jasmine was 14; it was here that she captured her seventh Pokémon, a Slowbro by the name of Dora.
#09. Ever Seasons, Kalos
South of Lumiose lies acres upon acres of protected land used to rehabilitate injured and endangered Pokémon. Featuring a variety of different biomes, the reserve is as massive as it is beautiful to behold.
Notable visits: Ever Seasons adoption drive, which Jasmine attended at the invitation of Serena. It was then that she made a new partner in the Vibrava (and eventual Flygon) she calls Vertie.
#08. Castelia City, Unova
This glittering metropolis is world renowned as being both a hub of business and a place for the arts to flourish. Working as a port city, Castelia is one of the most diverse cities in the Pokémon world, a place where cultures and traditions melt into something entirely new.
Notable visits: During the Christmas/winter holiday, Jasmine will typically stay for a week or so to enjoy everything the city has to offer. She’s particularly fond of the art museums!
#07. Floaroma Town, Sinnoh
A floral paradise in the form of a quaint town, Floaroma is characterized by the smell of honey and wildflowers. Many travel far and wide to experience the blooming of its many colorful blossoms each spring.
Notable visits: Age 14, Jasmine visits Floaroma with her father to attend a festival in honor of Shaymin; it is during these events that she befriends a Sunkern she names Sola, who ends up becoming the sixth member of her team.
#06. Malie City, Ula’ula Island, Alola
Malie, a distinct city in its own right, combines elements of Johto and Alola culture, creating a unique blend that becomes something all its own. Shops line the streets, and several popular sights (including Malie Gardens) are frequented by swathes of tourists each year.
Notable visits: Following her training in Vast Poni Canyon, Jasmine and Indigo stay briefly in Malie. It is here that she acquires three new partners: Edie the Ledian, and “the twins”—Néti and Tilo, her two trademark Magnemite. Returning as an adult, the Gardens are where she and James become engaged (after a lengthy battle with Celesteela).

} unless Poke Pelago gives me more of the Ultra Moon fossils, I have only have two evolution lines left to fill on Ultra Sun, I've caught every Sun/Ultra Sun exclusive Ultra Beast (though I already had Kartana and Buzzwole cause of GTS trades on Moon for apparently all my Celesteela), and I got a Celesteela in a trade for one of my Blacephalon on the GTS, though Stakataka's we're all asking for a bit much
The last full evolution line I can get in Ultra Sun is Misdreveous/Mismageus, which just needs me to wait till 6pm then I can find it since it's night-only. The other evolution line I need to finish is Cosmog/Cosmoem, I have Cosmog from Moon, but I need Cosmoem. I have to wait for night time to be allowed to enter the alternate reality via the wormhole at the Altar of the Sunne, which will then let me go to the Lake of the Sunne and get a second Cosmog, which I then need to evolve into Cosmoem. Then, as far as Dex Fill goes, I'm done with Ultra Sun.
All that's left at that point is Rainbow Rocket, and - after getting the shiny charm - catching the Ultra Sun Ultra Wormhole Legendaries. Stakataka will be the last pokemon needed Alola Dex filling across both USUM titles.

What's that rumbling? Why, it must be the evolution of Pokémon Flint's fossil:
Tumblr media
Vortitan - The Dust Devil Pokémon! (#69)
Type: Rock/Ground Ability: Earth Eater (Sand Veil) Height: 19' 8" / 6.0 m Weight: 1410.9 lbs / 640.0 kg
Vortitan evolves from Ikivak at level 38.
---
Dubbed "the colossus of the sands", Vortitan is optimized to passively feeding in desert conditions. Despite its frightening appearance, this Pokémon has no ill will or malice in its heart. It exists simply to feed. On momentum alone, it can glide underneath the dunes at upwards of 45 miles per hour (70 kilometers per hour), maintaining that speed for eight whole hours before it needs to move its fins again.
However, it is not always lazy. With its newly evolved claws and drill-like horn, it can burrow through limestone in search of Rock-type Pokémon to feast upon. In fact, it is speculated that that is why so many Vortitan fossils are so well-preserved: because they naturally bored into a rocky deposit before getting stuck.
The corresponding evolved fossil Pokémon exclusive to Pokémon Steel is Bivoutel, which you can read about here.
For a behind-the-scenes look at this Pokémon, read below!
Number one - yes, of course the evolution to "The Suction Pokémon" is going to be #69 in the Pokédex.
Number two, if you saw the post on Ikivak earlier, you may have seen that I called it "Titanoover". That was a bit of an unfortunate happenstance on my part. I actually had the core idea - a fossil Pokémon who could naturally burrow through limestone, making fossils of it abundant - before I had the name for it. What this resulted in was me creating Ikivak in preparation for that idea, making a post about Ikivak, and then getting to the end and realizing that I had no idea what Ikivak's evolution was going to be called. I'm so glad I came up with something better than Titanoover in the end.
The name, for posterity's sake, is a combination between "vortex" and "titan", with Ikivak containing the corresponding part of titanichthys's name. Ikivak's horn became something more akin to a narwhal's tusk, and its orange color scheme has become a gradient to reflect how different layers of dirt and bedrock are colored differently. I thought that would be a nice little nod to the connections between geology and paleontology.
What I was thinking when designing Vortitan was, I want people to think this Pokémon is scary, then that it's not scary, then that it is scary. Because when you look at it, it's horrifying. You would have a heart attack if you saw this thing emerge from the sand. But also, it's not inherently evil. It doesn't seek out vengeance. It doesn't hunt people for sport. It just glides and feeds, like a real titanichthys. But also... isn't that, in and of itself, kind of horrifying? Just because it doesn't actively want to kill you doesn't mean it won't kill you. It barely thinks. It only moves. If you're laying in the sand and it breaches and swallows you, that's it. You're dead. And it doesn't even know it killed you. Isn't that scarier, in a way?
My last little gripe is that looking at Bulbapedia, I feel like Game Freak has really painted themselves into a corner with Pokémon weights. The heaviest Pokémon is Celesteela at 999.9 kg / 2,204.4 lbs. Say that Vortitan is made of something like granite. A solid prism of granite that's 20-by-8-by-8 feet (bearing in mind that granite has a density of 2.6 g/cm^3) would weigh 94,200 kg or 208,000 lbs. Even if you say that Vortitan weighs half of that, it's still forty-something times heavier than The Heaviest Pokémon! Get it together, Nintendo!
Finally, as a treat, here's some earlier drafts of Vortitan. On the right, you can see I experimented with these little lines around their mouth to really emphasize the "vortex" aspect of Vortitan's mouth, but I'm glad I left it out in the end.

◓ for Lana and Ira
Send ◓ for information about my muse’s pokemon team.
PokéVerse! Lana
Tumblr media
Lana is an Independent Researcher looking into the connection between the Bonds between trainer and Pokémon and its relevance to the strength shown in the heat of battle. Initially, their curiosity into the strength of bonds and turning that into power was sparked during their challenge of the Unova League, having made it all the way to the Elite 4 but unable to defeat all of them in a row. There was a recognition that while managing to win against at least one of the members each time, she could feel the difference in their experience and could not make sense of the incongruence between their stength and her wins.
The time she spent living and training with her pokémon, made it relevant that it was their trust and respect that pushed each of them forward. She really wanted to know just how their connections really brought the best out of each other, and their potential bursting past what seemed to make even logical sense. Lana decided to take a step back and began an informal investigation, opting to see more of the world with her partners in search for clearer answers and new heights.

PokéVerse! Ira
Tumblr media
Ira is a trainer with a goal like any other. To continue to discover new people, places and pokémon the whole world round, testing her mettle against the strongest trainers around. Wonderlust might as well be the girl's last name since she tends to get carried away by whim and curiosity before all else. Regardless, with her and her pokémon, she rises to any occasion presented in front of her.
Ira was raised in a dojo under the care of her mentor and guardian. She is a practitioner of martial arts, and has an inclination toward fighting types as a result. Rather than take a dedicated route through any one gym circuit, she just seeks out battle anywhere she goes. She's gotten a few gym badges of her own but her case is a hodgepodge of pins of varying sizes and styles, as well as tiny souvenirs and other memorables.
The young warrior doesn't have a set path or goal beyond honing her strength with her partners, and if you can promise her a new experience, then you can be sure that she'll there, first in line.
