I hate to sound dumb and I can't hide behind anon, but is the language you speak just called Lakota? Or do you speak a different native language? I want to look up how to pronounce your OC names because I really like languages and pronunciation, but I want to make sure I'm looking up the right language first.

I mean technically it’s lakȟól'iyapi but it's not like people call it that lol. And people always assume I know about Lakota stuff and ignore my bio has Arikara in it too, I mean of course I do but it’s like do they know I’m Arikara too right? 🥺🥺 My ocs are both named in sahnish(Arikara) and lakota tho, but I don’t necessarily like saying their names in English in fear of people not using their actual name. My sonas are named after me tho like my actual "Indian" name. I have like a full cast of characters with Arikara and Lakota names and it would be nice to eventually hear people actually saying them. "Oh yeah my favorite ones is Haxtaa’ ihapástš" that would be crazy or like "Chanwiyapehe, he’s so dreamy 🥰" I’d go crazy. I’m also debating if I want them to be call both their names in Lakota and sahnish.

heres my oc for today, shī tóng, hes a guardian lion brought to life by a wealthy dragon household, but when his other half died (guardian lions almost invariably come in sets) he left to go wander. he was almost consumed by his own magic in grief until he came across two kids, one of whom had the ability to cancel out magic for a short time. long story short hes a dad now.

not many people online atm so i figured i’d show off theo’s freshly customized moles :) i'll post a proper close up of his face moles later because i'm obsessed, but for now here’s the full thing.

never told anyone this but i went through a semi-ego death/god isnt real realization in high school,which just so happened to be a catholic school, and i remember sitting bowed-head in the small church room while the priest prayed over the class and sincerely praying to god "i want to believe you are real. please prove to me that you are real. if youre real and really all-powerful, prove it by transforming me into my winged spider-eyed zombie lion oc right now in front of everyone."

and then i spent the rest of the time daydreaming about how my transformation would happen and be so cool and tragic and how in the process i would lose my mind, rampaging through the school in a confused beastly rage before disappearing to live in the mountains or wtv

I'm working on some cool colours for this art of mine!!

it was quite challenging to stick to just two main colours for the entire thing, but I think this makes the piece look very clean! plus I think the contrast is very rad :D

I'm working on finishing quite a few wips at the moment, which is why I'm slowly running out of stuff to feed you in the meantime. there's quite a lot coming up!
