vtubers can never be held accountable for anything ever because the second a criticism is brought up it's downplayed to hell or just straight-up considered something from "outside the community", implying that the person who brought up the criticism just doesn't "get" vtuber culture and how things operate.

but in all actuality they are 100% correct. these people just refuse to engage with the idea that maybe they and their fave vtubers are actually doing and encouraging harmful shit that most people (who aren't constantly exposed to it and see it normalized in their spaces) find harmful and gross and worthy of bringing up and criticizing.
