These potion dice displays have 17 matching swatches and are base game compatible. The one with 2 d4's are meant to be a healing potion for DnD. These have no LODs as it's already almost as low poly as it could go, so while placing several of these on a lot should cause no issues, I would avoid filling an entire lot with them if your computer has lower specs just in case.

RM_PotionDice.package is the 2 d4 healing version, and RM_FullPotionDice.package is the one with a full (minus d10) dice set.

sims 4 crystal legacy challenge

hello! here is a legacy challenge i created while playing the Garden Legacy challenge. i didn’t want to finish on my tenth gen and decided to create my own challenge, based on crystals. this challenge can be continued from a previous save or started in a new one! i also tried to implement base game options for those who don’t own all the packs! some gens do need packs but if you don’t have them, they may be skipped.

SIMS 4 CREATE -A-CULTIST CHALLENGE

Roll up, roll up, Baaph needs followers!!

I've been heavily inspired by a lot of the challenges I've seen floating around simblr, so I wanted to make this one in conjunction with my Cult of the Lamb obsession/render set.

The rules are simple, roll the dice indicated to build your cultist! I like to use google's dice roller and roll each die individually to avoid repeats!

& if you don't want to use the dice roll challenge guidelines, feel free to make a follower from your own imagination/inspo! The only real rule is to have funI

I've made a .PSD template (download here!) file for you to make a 'card' of your follower! I'll reblog all of them so please tag me! & after a while I want to make a master post of all of them together! (& if you can't use .pds there's a BLANK VERSION HERE!)

The fonts needed for the PSD are Distillery Display and Eczar Regular (linked for download!)

Feel free to include as much or as little backstory as you like with your cultist! They can be a cult elder, a disciple, a spouse, or a dissenter! It's all up to you!

If you're familiar with the game and this is enough info for you, go forth and create a follower! I can't wait to indoctrinate them! 😈🤣

For those unfamiliar with the game, the objective is to build a cult to gain strength and power to release the god that's saved you from death.

Each new follower has a form (usually a monster or animal, but for this I've chosen animals), a color (ranging from normal neutrals to highlighter-bright colors), and a few traits that can be anything from zealous to coprophiliac.

They can be leveled up to become disciples. You can marry multiple at a time (but they'll get jealous). They can dissent and you have to throw them in jail.

It's a delight.

I tried to include the animals I knew I'd seen CC floating around for, but I'm also so intrigued to see what yall will come up with!

1. What has been your favorite time period to play in or which one are you most excited for?

Oh gosh... This is really going to take some thought. I have really enjoyed the 1890s because of the labor reform and industrial revolution aspects of the time, but there's also the 1920s and 1930s when there was a massive amount of science discovered and environmental damage that will affect future generations.

2. Do you have a favorite piece of historical cc? (CAS or BB)

I really love @linzlu's retro sinks, but I also can't function w/o a lot of @gilded-ghosts's outfits.

3. Who is your favorite sim currently?

 So it's actually little Gordon. His future is heavily inspired by my own interests and emotional events that shaped and altered me. I'm very excited to develop his story.

4. What is your favorite world?

I love all of them for different reasons, but Brindleton, Windenburg, and Granite Falls are probs my favorites.

5. Are you more gameplay or story focused?

I play the game to get to the good parts of the story I want to tell. Sometimes the game throws me for a loop though and I need to alter my story to fit the gameplay, but the story definitely drives a lot of how I play.

6. Do you like to play with pets in your historical saves?

I do, but not cats. I like having dogs, but I a dog person IRL so its just a natural fit. I miss the dog from Gen 0 but it hasn't felt right in the story to have a dog again.

7. What’s your biggest immersion breaking pet peeve with the game?

The weird outfits on the pets in Brindleton. I can't seem to find a mod or anything that will make pets not wear clothing.

8. What’s your favorite in-game historical item? (CAS or BB)

... Probably the boots from Vampires or the lace-up boots that came with GTW.

9. What would you like to see as a new pack or asset to the game?

I would like to see more free swim areas. The areas in Britechester and Sulani are cool, but Brindleton could use some free swim areas along the coast.

10. What pack do you think is invaluable as a historical simmer?

Obvs, Cottage Living, but I have to agree with Get Together or Vampires for their build mode items.

11. Do you have a favorite mod to enhance historical gameplay?

So many, but MCCC, Better UI, Better Exceptions, TOOL, BBB, Timeless, Home Regions, Language Barrier, and I know I'm forgetting some.

12. What’s your ideal family size for playing?

4-5 people. I hate when the dice dole out 5-6 children. I really dislike the new newborn phase and the toddler phase is something to just tolerate.

13. Do you use poses?

All. The. Time.

14. Do you use any overrides in your game?

I had a crib override at one point, but infants broke it.

15. Do you, or did you, play off-the-grid during your game?

I played OTG all through the 1850s to the 1880s. 1880s including plumbing being added. Electricity was added in 1890.

16. What lifespan do you play on?

I play on normal lifespan, but with the days in each stage altered slightly. In my game, 2.8 days equals 1 year; so some years are 3 days long and some are only 2. 28 days = 10 years

17. What inspired you to start playing a historically?

I have always loved history and learning about it. For about half a second during my junior year, I thought about becoming a history teacher until I remembered that I don't actually like interacting with most people. I have, thankfully, learned the skills to deal with people on a daily basis but some (most) days it's exhausting.

Lansing Legacy!!

I found the random legacy and was inspired by the intro formatting from @adair-the-bard​, please show him some love!!!

As I said above, this is the random legacy challenge! My founder is Jaymes Lansing, a trans man with questionable fashion sense but somehow pulls it off (and not to mention is a cyber criminal :0) and his wife is Presley Ames, who you may recognize from a previous post but with some epic improvements (including arm crutches!! I was so excited when I found this cc and they’re perfect for her!!) who’s a stylist!!

When I saw this challenge I knew I had to participate as I just got my first ever set of dice and wanted to use them! I will be using a d20 for the categories that have less than 20, and for the rest I will use two to three dice of my picking and add up the totals to get the roll number.

Category 1:

Marital Status

For the first roll I used a D20 and D6, and added one to the total to even out the lack of 1 due to there being 27 potentials in the rules. I rolled a 9 and a 5, and added 1 which totaled to 15: Couple: Live together with a romantic interest and use the help to raise the kids.

Category 2: Number of Kids

For the number of kids, I used a D6 and a D4. I rolled a 5 and a 1, which totals to 6: 2 Kids

Category 3: Career

For this category, I had to make multiple roles, for the type of careers my Founder and my other sims can have, as well as for what career it is. I started off rolling for my Founders career with a D6 and D4, and got 8:  Unconventional Careers. I then rolled for what unconventional career it would be. I excluded numbers 18, 19, 28, 29, 30, 31-36, 39, as I do not have those packs, and then used a D20, D4, and D6 to roll. I rolled a 9, 1, and 2, totaling to 12:  Cybercriminal: create viruses and hack for money. Then, I rolled for my spouses' career. For career type, I rolled a total of 4: Conventional Career. For the career, I rolled a total of 21:  Style Influencer – Stylist

Category 4: Generation Goals

Here, I rolled a D20, D6, D4, and D8. I got a total of 19: Pet Shrine [C&D]— Adopt, create, or bring home a stray pet. Through the generation build a shrine to the pet.

Category 5: Misc. Fun.

Here, I used the same dice as Category 4 and added 2 to the total. I rolled 21: Regular Diner [DO]— Once a week, the entire household must go out to eat at a restaurant. All three courses and something to drink should be ordered.

Mushrooms are wonderful wonderful things, I love them. They're cute in art, they're great in food, they're the beauties of nature, they expand the mind, they HEAL! And when I say they heal I mean in more than just the psychotropic ways. They can communicate under the earth. There's so many of them and they can thrive through so much that other plants cannot. I love mushrooms, I wish I could be a mushroom. Mushrooms have taught me about myself and others. Mushrooms changed my life.

I have a fabric rainbow woven basket full of incense and I just adore it so much

My partner built me a desk shelf and its just absolutely perfect, if I was at home I'd share a photo of it but its just a lil mini table thing with two shelves on it. I put all kinds of cute little figures and plushes on it, figures from naruto, avatar (aang and toph), a lil cubone dude and other desky things haha

My dnd dice are purple with a pink to gold shift sparkle and they have witchy looking numbers that are gold

Oh an art studio/craft room with all the organization things installed but also a free wall to put tons of inspiration, an indoor heated pool in a glass room, a glass sunroom period, plants growing all over the outside (stone house), fruit garden, pole room with also room to just dance and be about, trip/mediation/spiritual/witchy room with big ass windows, just lots of windows, lots of natural light, canopy bed, butterflies come and visit, in the wood lots of wildlife, a pond, big full trees you can sit under, gaming room :)

How I'm playing the Ultimate Decades Challenge

I thought I'd make this post because I've been so interested since starting this challenge in seeing and hearing how others are playing, and have been adapting the challenge to suit my play style as I go.

So, I started out with Morbid Gamer's rules, but as an historian at heart (I studied history for 2 years at university before switching into another degree) it didn't feel as accurate as it could be, so I shorted the toddler lifespan, and was toying with the idea of changing the rolls for young adults and adults to make it less likely they die when I came across Several's rules in the discord chat, and decided to adopt them. I'm also using Several's spreadsheet now, and loving it! I roll for each life stage at the beginning of the life stage and if the dice decide the sim will die, I do a random number generator to decide what year they die in, so that my sims all die at varying ages instead of all being grouped on the ages they age up. This also helps me write their death into the storyline a little more organically.

I've always played TS4 heavily modded, and am relying on MCCC and CC and mini mods quite heavily in this challenge. In trying to keep things as true to history as possible, I've installed Ye Old Cookbook which I highly recommend, and a hunting/gathering mod, which is being used daily by my sims in the famine to keep them fed. I'm using Lumpinou's RPO mod a lot for fertility and pregnancy, have dabbled with realistic childbirth (although this makes the births take aaages which isn't ideal when you have 4 sim days to a year), and have just added healthcare redux into my game to spice things up with some naturally occurring illness and death! (Because apparently I don't feel like i'm losing enough sims to death rolls?)

So I'm starting a new save file. Or restarting one. It starts in prehistoric times and if I stick with it, will go from there

I'm not good at long-term happy stories, which the Barbie challenge mostly is. I'll go back to it, maybe alternate between them, but I'm taking a break

There will be death. There will be loss. There will be randomness, because I prefer random. There will be triggering themes at times, including probably child death, miscarriage, possibly infertility, war. There will be war, but probably not graphic war--I don't really do posing and staged scenes, more like roll a dice and see if a person lived or died.

I'll try to tag for triggers. When I fail (if there's anyone reading it) please let me know.

I'm calling it Eras Challenge (I can't find anything else by that name, so it shouldn't end up on anyone's else's dashboard from that alone. There's apparently a Legacy Eras Challenge though), and I'm making it up as I go. Everything is subject to change, and will change according to the customs of the era. Current semi-planned eras are Prehistoric/Stone Age, Bronze Age, Ancient Greece, Ancient Rome, Medieval, Renaissance, other years I have no name on, Victorian, Edwardian, decades of the 1900s. I fell deep into research for a few days a while ago, but I never actually played past prehistoric. I'll see how this round goes, or if I get distracted by aliens again.

I'm not pretending to be original with everything. I'm sorta cobbling together bits and pieces and adding things and removing things as I see fit. It's mostly a challenge in the sense that I want to see how long I can stick with it. Rules go something like: here are some options, pick one or don't; don't use mods to make things easier, unless you want to; don't use X until *time* unless you can find cc to make it look good; have fun with it.
