Real Animated Pets - Goat, Sheep and Llama

This project is our fruit of labour with @deedee-sims. I was looking for a way to have more "alive" pets in Sims 2 and approached DeeDee. Luckily for all of us, she liked the idea and helped me out with the most difficult parts. This project would not be possible without you, thank you DeeDee ❤️

From the technical point of view all animals are custom collars for large dogs (and only large dogs). In order for them to work as on previews, you need to assign your dog a transparent fur (a brand new creation by DeeDee that makes dogs' fur completely invisible, included in the archive) and then pick an animal skin you want from the collar section. If you'd like to change the appearance of an existing large dog, be sure to buy it a desired collar on a community lot first! Dog's breed is also important, it can make chubbier or thinner animals. If your fur doesn't look completely transparent, be sure to uncheck all the fur accessories. I'd recommend using a default white no name breed (looks best with animations).

Swatches:

We (especially DeeDee! ❤️) did our best making new animals move as smoothly as possible, but be aware that clipping is still present in certain animations. Also, these animals behave and sound like normal dogs. Hopefully we'll find a way to mute them in the future.

Animals come with a set of objects that are more appropriate for farm animals - new bed, toy, 2 "bowls" and deco hay. Objects have morphs and dirty states. Note that the feeders works like a pet bowl meaning they will randomly rotate but it won't prevent pets from eating normally.

All animals come with original Sims 4 textures (1024x1024 for llama and 512x512 for goat and sheep), converted and tweaked by me. Animal colors are separated so you can pick and choose only the ones you want. Collection file for objects is included. I also recommend these and these Uldum rug add-ons (if you want other sizes for the hay overlay).

Changed pet toy animation to silent chewy one (thank you @vegan-kaktus and @executables-sims), the archive was updated but if you don't want to redownload the whole thing, here's only the updated toy.

Added a new feeder - prarie grass converted from Sims 4 Horse Ranch. Now your new pets can feed on the fresh grass. Collection file was updated too.

UPDATE 17/02/2024

Fixed toy's thumbnail - it's no longer empty. Added a custom version for the hay rug, I'd recommend using a custom rug rather than ULDUM because it has no outdoor shadow (ULDUM can't be fixed). Updated the collection file to include new rug.

Updated Prairie Grass Feeder to have smoother edges. It looks much nicer now.

My name is Sapphire, and I've been playing the Sims since 2000. I started making custom content for The Sims 4 in 2015 and started sharing my creations in 2016. This is something I do for fun, not for profit, so my CC will always be free and without ads. New updates will be added when I feel like it, and not based on a regular schedule.

I make custom content primarily for myself, for my own characters and gameplay. It's rare that I'll make something with the sole objective of it being publicly-consumed content. As a result, things that I share on this blog may contain swatches that are unique and specific to my characters and builds. If you don't like that, then I suggest you look elsewhere for custom content that more adequately meets your needs.

Due to past issues on my old CC blog, all messaging is disabled for this account. If you need to contact me about something, please reach out to me on my main account - @stargazer-sims. Lisa Frankenstein Sims!

Because @gallifreyan-ginger-sociopath was playing Sims 4 and I latch onto stuff they do (and hyperfixate), I decided to make Lisa and Creature for my Sims 4 game. There ARE several Lisa and Creature's available (and I have a link to the one I started with), but since they used Maxis-made clothes/hair, I wasn't super happy with the clothing. Pastel-sims Unicorn Horn

This horn was never intended to be a unicorn horn, as Silvermoon sims made it as part of a Sailor Moon outfit. Have you checked out their Sailor Moon stuff? It’s awesome. Anyway, I am a silly unicorn fan and desperate for new unicorn horns, so I claimed this one as a unicorn horn too. Once again, I made an edited mesh version to move it down the forehead and add a few more color swatches to it.

The Sims 4 Horse Ranch Review - Horses & Environment

Now as I promised this would be a separate review based around the horses and the environment that you see in the new world. I love the new world very well put together and very pretty.

Comes with alot of space which is nice since when you ride your horses you can ride them around your yard or you can go on a nature walk or run through the whole town. There isn't a whole lot added within world besides your typical feeders and a few things like the jump bars in the build mode however this is furniture which you can see some of in the house below.

Some more pretty scenery and I'm not sure if this was in a update since its been a bit since I played but there is a free mode camera now so you can move it around like this showing it all.

You can train your horses, hand feed them, brush, love, hug, mount etc you can do most of what you would in real life to a horse which is realistic.

They did such a great job in how beautiful these creatures are. Also nice to see not only can you make your own which you will find pictures further below but you can also adopt a rescue or buy a new horse which is cool.

Its cool in creation you can change the saddles and colors as well as give them hats too. You have the same features as you would as pets to design their coat colors etc. I do not know how this works without owning pets I assume since its a stand alone you should be fine but like I said I own all of the games.

Even able to change the breeds as well totally customizable.

The training is cool to you can have them train on their own as well as ride them and build up a connection with them as well as build up being a great rider so you can enter competitions as well.

All in all my opinion is they out did themselves on the horses I absolutely love them. They look so real as well and there are so many options to customize. I would say if you haven't bout many expansion packs you can definitely rest assure this is one that is actually worth it especially if you love horses, native americans, western, as well as goats.
