SUMMER SPLASH FESTIVAL

If you’ve been missing the seasonal festivals we had in The Sims 3, fret no more cuz I got you. I’ve taken things into my own hands by creating fairgrounds for every season in The Sims 4.

This summer festival has a water park (NO Growing Together splash pad needed), private grotto pool, & ice cream stand to cool off at. There's a bar & juice fizzing stations for outdoor drinking with your pals. A lush garden wedding venue in a converted barn, farmers market, & so much more.

So if you’re refusing to let go of summer yet, then this lot will help you squeeze in as much summertime fun as possible before the cold weather turns us all into prisoners in our own homes.

So, I made a house in the Sims 4 for the Lords in Black and the Queens in White. I included some easter eggs in the house that I'll explain below the images!

Reminiscing about The Sims

I was in my early teens when The Sims came out - my dad used to buy PC World magazines and I probably first saw it there.

I was very lucky to have played all the expansion packs - I’m looking at photos online now - I’d always have the girl with the blue pigtails, and wear that outfit with the baggy jeans and yellow crop top.  I loved those bubble windows and beaded doors.  

I’d send my sims on the the snowy cabin type vacations.  Was there some sort of haunted fairground, or am I getting confused with Neopets? I wish I could remember more!!

I’ve played all The Sims games at some point, but was new to The Sims 4 in 2020 when we were all trapped in our homes - you can buy base game for suuuper cheap.  And now here I am, obsessed and poorer from all the additional packs I just haaad to have.

since apparently my parents think all I do is sit on my butt all day and play videogames, here’s a long list of what I managed to get done today (and by today I mean literally just today. No yesterdays included.)

1. Played Life Is Strange (and cried like three times)

11. Analyzed published writing for application in my own work

12. Wrote up reviews for two songs; finished analyzing Who Killed Puck (a semester long venture)

13. Started several new drawings, including some really advanced poses and backgrounds

A little question... how the actual hell do you get to the fairground on Sims 4? like I looked for it for ages but couldn’t find it

SIM houses sell but not that many. We put on a home show now. Real SIM models and the campers as homes mobile homes or campers. Small houses tiny homes. And examples of nigmeghborhoods built now in Florida. Taxis to and from. Every model we sell there on display full sized all the options...full kitchen one motif to look right it does and a pitched showroom each vsrsion in it all doodads all sold separately. They like it appreciate it. Tampa fairgrounds occupied as are Sarasota. Miami too. Mac has a venue near him. No..yes. We move to look yes. Agents report high volume deep bunkers. We accept they want a fight. We prep show them we mean business send a big and super big gloved ring there . today. It's in Sarasota near the SIM dealerships.

Huge 3000sf luxury home models. Are combos yes ornate too. Are less expensive than any. We install lol cork yours clear. Fine he says we buy here and yes can afford 8k for lots Mac calls his but it all they fight.

Pc north port Punta goes a full w plans already. He says laughing I get a lot car ppl will think it's a SIM lol. They pause residual or lottery or class action and continue.

Houses fly in huge ones too fully assembled on stages. We fix the front to mach. Watervthem too. Huge no but decent you s say. More now by request I want this one. Gold Supreme.

We will have a spread in each hour a shield too. Huge spread. Our beers small wine bottles 10 oz and our sodas in the houses.

All come piped full bar has 100 varieties pub30 restaraunts 60. Will arrive in 2 hours outside time of arrival.

House sales go bonkers

We sent in for approval on ours lots are on prospective sakes infrastructure going in all are walled and gated some double gates. Two in two out sane enrmtrance it's done in Miami lots. They buy it here

Huge huge sales. Huge. Our tract homes are sold out. We move in New models of neighborhoods are in the office model home display it's huge tons go. We look huge crowds outside. We issue a statement we will get you a house let's form separate lines for neighborhood tracts and honest twosee. They like it. And a third condo apartments. Low risesmid rises high rises all I at Florida.

Our booze trucks are there and food. He and Violator are dressed as cheesy home pushers. Thier DemiGoddess wives too.

Hera is in a controlled community. Double gated. As we care. Now sakes triple. Huge lots of high end SIM original model full sized sedans huge. Station wagons too and a full sized now. Looks like a rugged 4 door Porsche.

They arrive. Each car setup matches the homes.

Liliput has just arrived and hobbit town both are small gated communities well some become large oh well damnit you haha Zues laughs. It's fun I'm ok.

In 1870, the U.S. Congress made Independence Day an unpaid holiday for federal employees, and in 1938, Congress changed Independence Day to a paid federal holiday. Major and minor employers soon followed.

There are many Independence Day celebrations throughout Florida's Nature Coast.

4th of July Events on the Nature Coast

Here in Florida’s Nature Coast, there is no shortage of public celebrations to attend. From New Port Richey to Inverness, municipalities are offering fireworks, live music, food vendors, games and fun from Friday, June 28 through Sunday, July 7. Following is our rundown of local celebrations, and we make no promises to have them all. If you know of Independence Day celebrations in Citrus, Hernando and Pasco Counties that we have missed, please add them in the comments so your fellow NatureCoasters can join in the fun! Red, White & Brew Fest 2019

Red, White and Brew Fest was a blast in 2018 and it has been moved to Anderson Snow Park in Spring Hill for 2019. The Never Stop Believin' Band is amazing! July 3 - Red, White and Brew Fest Celebrate America’s birthday in Anderson Snow Park with HITS 106, Hernando County Parks & Recreation and Great Bay Distributors. Live music by The Petty Hearts Tom Petty Tribute band, followed by a great fireworks show at 9 pm, and the incomparable Never Stop Believing Ultimate Journey Tribute band. Food trucks, vendors, crafters, Inflatable Party Express kids area, multiple Beer/Wine tents, 2 amazing bands, a salute to Veteran’s and of course FIREWORKS. Admission to Red, White and Brew Fest is free. Parking is $5 per vehicle. Gates open at 4:30 pm. NO outside food or drinks, NO coolers, NO pets. NO tents. Bring lawn chairs or blankets, sunscreen, bug spray and cash for vendors. (some do take credit cards…but cash is always a great idea)

June 28-29 – KIAFest Main Street Blast Bring the whole family down to the 20th Annual Friendly KIAFEST & Main Street Blast and enjoy the 50th Anniversary of Woodstock celebration concert in Sims Park. Variety of vendors, Beer Garden, military vehicles on display, Kids Zone, Miss Daisy Boat Tours and much more! Thanks to the friendly folks at Friendly KIA, New Port Richey Main Street can host two days of FREE concerts of live musical entertainment! Finish off the fun on Saturday with a fabulous Main Street Blast Fireworks display over Orange Lake. (9:00 p.m-weather/conditions permitting) but get there early, thousands of people enjoyed New Port Richey’s Fireworks display last year!

Scalloping season begins July 1. This fun family activity allows you to get into the water and discover the amazing seagrass ecosystem that thrives in Florida's Nature Coast. In this picture, Jade Palmer shows the starfish she discovered while snorkeling for scallops in Citrus County. July 1 – Scalloping season opens from Aripeka through Steinhatchee! Get out on the water and celebrate our country’s independence with a snorkeling adventure that yields delicious results. You can charter a captain, join an scalloping charter or take your own vessel out into the beautiful Gulf of Mexico and join in this local tradition that is often likened to an underwater Easter egg hunt. However, we recommend planning for a weekday scalloping outing and waiting a week or two because the scallop hunting grounds are very busy on opening weekend! A patriotic concert is always a nice way to spend an afternoon. June 29 and 30 – The Nature Coast Community Band will perform their Independence Day concert at 2:30 p.m. Saturday is at the Citrus Springs Community Center, 1570 W. Citrus Springs Blvd., Citrus Springs and Sunday is at the Cornerstone Baptist Church – 1100 W. Highland Ave, Inverness. There is no admission charge to either concert.

Skydive City in Zephyrhills has an annual 4th of July celebration for those who want to jump from a plane, camp, enjoy the outdoors and party. July 6-7 – Skydive City 4th of July Celebration - Come enjoy the weekend with some fun in the sun and jumping out of planes! There will be free load organizers, camping, cookout, live music, DJs, Beer and with free load organizers all weekend its sure to be a blast. 79 RV slots, rental trailer, free camping on 14 acres. Patriotic drinks made at the Sunset Bar all night long. Call to reserve your camping spot.

2019 Inverness Patriotic Evening is scaled back to have a great fireworks show over Lake Henderson while downtown parks are closed. July 3 - Inverness Patriotic Evening - The City of Inverness’ Patriotic Evening is set to “light the sky” for Wednesday, July 3, 2019, with a 9 p.m. fireworks display. Because the City’s waterfront parks: Wallace Books, Liberty Trail, and Liberty are closed due to construction, the usual festival with vendors and entertainment will not be part of the show. All are encouraged to find a comfortable spot, nook, car seat, boat seat, or pub seat of choice to watch the firework spectacular over Lake Henderson. For more information, click here. No alcohol, coolers, canopies, pop-up tents, personal fireworks, bbq grilling, or pets allowed. Please be respectful of private property and public spaces when finding your viewing spot. Patriotic Evening will return to a more normal situation with a bang in 2020!

July 4 – Demolition Derby and Fireworks - Celebrate America with fireworks and fun for the entire family! Come out to the Hernando County Fairgrounds for music, games, a Kid Zone, contests, food, and the Demolition Derby!  A colorful and sparkling fireworks display will top off the evening. Starts at 4 pm. Cost: Parking: $5.00; Admission for Derby: Adults, $10.00; Children age 4-12, $5.00; under age three, free.

Whatever you choose to do to celebrate America's Independence Day, make sure you look out for your family and pets. July 4 – Old Fashioned 4th of July Celebration - Join the City of Crystal River waterfront at Kings Bay Park for some great music, food, games, beer and wine and Fireworks! This is a free event! The fun begins at 5:00pm and the fireworks will kick off at 9:00pm (weather and time permitting). The best place to see the show over the water will be from Kings Bay Park.

Tressia BACC: Round 7, Clainy

Yep, after a few week of hiatus - which I spent out of town, building, making townies, building, panicking over current events, and building - the Tressia BACC is back!

And let’s meet the first of our newest citizen: Rhince Clainy!

As you might guess from the pic ... he’s not the most serious of Sims. A Pleasure Sim and an Aquarius, he has a personality of 2/5/4/8/6. He’s also got a secondary aspiration of Family. (He’s the first Sim in my hood to get a secondary aspiration.) As for his LTW, it’s a new custom one I’ve made up - Become Master Toymaker. In order to achieve it, he has to get a Gold toymaking badge and found a Level-10 toy shop. (I actually created a list of custom LTWs I’d be happy to post if anyone is interested.)

Anyway, as for the rest, Rhince is attracted to ladies, and prefers they be charismatic and wear makeup. Formalwear doesn’t do it for him, though. He’s also a Jacoban.

Anyway! Let’s have a look at Rhince’s humble abode. (I call it his humble abode because it’s just one apartment out of six.) It’s the Medieval Merchant’s Village from MTS if you’d like to have it in your own game. I made a few slight adjustments, but nothing major.

Fittingly enough, Johancy Birgil is the first one here. I say “fittingly” because Johancy’s wife, Nelarie, has the Marry Off Six Kids LTW.

This is just Rhince’s market stall. Once he gets this to Level 10, he’ll sell it and buy a real shop. You’ll be spending lots of time there over the next twenty-plus years.

Naturally the reporter shows up practically first thing - as does a new townie! I made *gulp* 24 of them to start the round off. (10 adults, 8 teens, and 6 kids.) The new townie is the one with black hair, named Gillon Rheane.

And here’s one of the new teens, Tania Estar! Rhince will not be setting his gender preferences with her, because no, just no.

Another lovely lady that Rhince will not be setting his gender preferences with! This is Kaytris Etinger, another playable. Since she’s a Romancer and Rhince is a Pleasure Sim, I’m sure the chemistry would be off the charts ... which, since they both live in the same building and I have no plans for them to get married to each other, would just lead to problems.

Best not to open up that can of worms.

And before Rhince closes up the shop for the day, having gotten to Level 3, he unlocks the Silver Sales badge and the Hard Sell. Thank you, fall skilling bonus!

After work, Rhince heads off to the fairgrounds to get himself a cell phone and scout out the ladies.

“I am a Pleasure Sim. With a Family secondary.”

Yep.

And whom should he meet but Carlyn Adais, another new townie lady!

It doesn’t take long before Rhince is sending a wolf whistle her way, and Carlyn is quite receptive to the idea.

Two bolts, not bad!

For S’s & G’s I have Rhince ask after her job, too. Turns out she’s a High Constable (i.e. the top of the Military track. As a townie). Don’t tell Shola; she’ll be so jealous she won’t be able to see straight!

I have Rhince spend some time with the axe-throwing station so he can get fit ... but he’s not very good at it ...

And it’s not long before he’s interrupted.

“New in town, friend?”

“Uh, yeah ... what tipped you off?”

“Just your air, my friend, just your air. But let me give you a warning ...”

“There are some shady characters around this place, my friend. You’d best stick with me. I’ll show you the ropes and make sure you don’t fall prey to the wrong sort of people.”

“Um ... could you let go of me?”

And that is the story of how Rhince was in town for less than a day before he got robbed. (This is also Unsavory Charlatan Attack #4; 2 more and we’ll open yet another Law Enforcement slot!)

But even if Rhince loses his wallet, at least he gains some muscles before he goes!

“That’ll show that weird monocle man to mess with me!”

... Dude, you still only have one body skill point. You may be ripped but you’re still not exactly fit for trash talking.

“Well, darn.”

Back home, I have Rhince spend the rest of the day getting to know the neighbors and building his skills. Somehow this building is classed as a High class lot, which means I now have a bunch of Socialites and Techies in the hood.

This should be interesting.

I also take a peek in Rhince’s relationship panel to see how he fares, chemistry-wise, with the ladies he met today, and I notice something interesting. Since becoming fit, he’s now up to three bolts with Carlyn.

Interesting indeed.

But enough of that! Onto day 2!

Elice isn’t buying what Rhince is selling. Color me unsurprised. They have negative chemistry. Again ... unsurprised.

Rhince also meets another of the new playables, Barran Kierconin. Poor Barran must be desperate for human interaction, because every time I turn around he’s calling Rhince up to chat.

Rhine unlocks Dazzle, and Mercan is game enough to let him practice on him.

“Hey, I remember what it was like, being fresh out of the bin, no skills or prospects to speak of ... of course I’ll him try out his new skills on me.”

You are a good man, Mercan.

Rhince just raked that. *grumble grumble stupid Sims grumble grumble*

Barran and Elice do not get along. I’m used to Elice not liking people, but Barran went right up to her and started poking and all kinds of nonsense! Not sure what his problem is ...

Rhince makes the acquaintance of Istera Oskel. She’s a Romancer, so I have high hopes for chemistry between these two ... but they don’t have anything. No chemistry at all. Interesting.

In other news, we get the shop up to Level 4, close up, start restocking, and then ...

“Um, Mr. Evil Wizard? We’re closed. You can come back in the morning if you like.”

“Nope!”

“I’ll mess up your day right here and now.”

*sigh* Well, look at the bright side, Rhince - at least you don’t have to worry about roaches and lightning while there are customers on the lot.

“THAT’S the bright side???”

Once home, he spends a few hours making pet bricks ...

And then invites Carlyn over to Merrie Mellie’s for a date!

(Ignore the black pond water. I just put in the new water mod and have to update my business lots as I play through the round.)

Laughing together, that’s always a good sign for a first date!

It’s not too long before Rhince is trying to charm the lovely lady.

First kiss. D’awww.

Rhince is quite smooth. It’s not long before he’s making Carlyn’s foot pop.

Things just get hotter and heavier from there. The date ends up as a dream date, and I for one am not surprised by that in the least.

Let’s move onto day 3, shall we?

Not much of interest happens at the stall. But we do see the last new playable of the round - Shepherdess Alayne Jacoban. I’m playing her next, so you’ll learn all about her before long.

Other than that, Rhince gets himself a Bronze cash register badge (woot!), gets the business up to Level 5 (yay!) and takes all the cash perks (kaching!).

Before long, it’s time for another date with Carlyn. (Is the ocean water supposed to look like that with the new water mod in?)

It does not take long at all for this to happen: two Sims simultaneously in love. With three bolts.

I’m calling it True Love, which can only mean one thing ...

“So, um, Carlyn, crazy question ... do you believe in true love?”

“That depends. In what context?”

“The context in which you might marry me?”

*squealing commences*

“Um - is that a yes or a no?”

“OF COURSE IT’S A YES!”

Congratulations, Rhince and Carlyn! We have ourselves an engagement and another dream date.

Now the last day of the round, coincidentally or not, is Sunday. And since Rhince needs to go to church anyway, I figure I might as well kill two birds with one stone.

A very good expression for one’s wedding day!

But soon it’s showtime. As Rhince and Carlyn make their way up the aisle, Shepherdess Alayne rocks out ... badly.

Independence Day Celebrations throughout the Nature Coast

The July 4th holiday is just around the corner and the Nature Coast is celebrating with many events, several of which include live music and fireworks! NatureCoaster has gathered the area's best Independence Day celebrations to help you plan your fun - with the holiday being mid-week, you can easily celebrate for an 8 day span on local events. Most of these events are supported by vendor sales of food and drink, so coolers are not often welcome. It is always a good idea to bring chairs or blankets to sit on, bug spray and some funds to purchase on-site food and beverages. If you have any questions, feel free to contact the event's organizers. Please do not bring pets to fireworks events. It can be very hard on them. Small children can be frightened by the thundering booms and bright lights also. KIAFest Main Street Blast

Start your fun off Friday night and Saturday all day at KIAFest Main Street Blast. This is the nineteenth year that this American-themed celebration has been held in downtown New Port Richey. Starting at 5 pm, Sims Park opens up with a food court, crafters, commercial vendor exhibits, a beer garden, kid’s zone, bounce houses and Miss Daisy boat tours up the Pithlachascotee River. Barefoot Bob  and the Hope kick off the live music at 6:30 and a Prince tribute will start at 8:30. On Saturday things open up again at noon, with live music in the park from 1pm through fireworks at dark! A Michael Jackson tribute will cap things off from 9-10:30 pm. Red, White and Brews Celebration

On July 3, 2018, the Lake House in Spring Hill will be booming with family fun, music and fireworks. Join the party from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. with FREE parking and FREE admission. Cold beer, wine, food trucks, craft vendors, performances by The Black Honkeys and Never Stop Believin' (Journey tribute band) will be topped off with fireworks over the lake at dark! On July 4, Sparklebration will provide a leisurely family fun time, featuring an all-american food court at the Pasco County Farigrounds in Dade City.
