Marquise lives in a swamp cottage selling herbalism potions & taking voodoo commissions. It's just been them & their scrappy companion Boudin for years. That is until Rayne. Rayne dropped out of school to work on a fishing boat but got into hot water & needs to lay low. Marquise took the teen in & now they're becoming friends & connecting over their love of cooking. But will Rayne's past come back to haunt them? Will Marquise's paranormal tampering bring trouble?

It was quite a journey – had to go through webs, ignore the tempting object they discovered, until they finally saw an exit!

Jason looked around in awe. “Is this in the maps? I don’t think this is in the maps.”

“I have no idea, Jason,” Sophia panted. When she caught her breath, Jason had mindlessly marched forward, clearly entranced by nature. “Wait for me, darling!”

They heard the sound of rushing waters, and they discovered there was a waterfall. And by that waterfall stood an elderly lady fishing in it. They looked at each other before approaching the lady.

“Hello,” Jason cautiously greeted.

The woman looked up. She was a bit frightened but relaxed. “Lost?”

“Not really? I don’t know. We’re on a vacation here in Granite Falls. We saw a passageway back in the forest. My wife and I explored, and then found this place,” Jason said.

“Ah, adventurers?” The lady smiled. “Welcome to my home. Name’s Fatima.”

“Hello, Fatima, I’m Jason Davis,” he smiled, “this is my wife, Sophia.”

“Sophia, sorry, you stink,” Fatima noted.

Sophia frowned, “Sorry, Fatima. It was the stink bugs…”

Fatima perked up, “I have the right thing for that, follow me!”

They followed her into a small wooden cottage – her home. The home was all wood. Both were impressed when they learned that she built that herself. Not only that, but she also had an impressive garden of herbs.

Once out on the other end of the grotto, Amanda finds herself in a beautiful valley - and notices a cottage.

A woman, Hailee, lives here. Amanda tries to make some small talk, and the woman is nice enough. But generally she doesn't seem to care for Amanda very much, and Amanda spends a few days finding unidentified plants, fishing and sleeping in her sleeping bag.

And then, once Amanda decides she and Cassie should return back to Granite Falls Hailee sees her off, seemingly indifferent.

What a strange encounter.
