House In A Tree - Photo Tour & Download

This lot was inspired by @cawthorntales wondering if it'd be possible to build a house in a tree. Although this is technically a house in 4 trees, it is indeed possible to put an entire house up in the air, and here is the result.

This build does have a handful of CC decorations (5 packages in all), but the structure and landscaping is mostly done with base game items, with a few build elements from Cats & Dogs and Cottage Living thrown in. The mailbox is from the Werewolves GP, and I think the pool ladder may be from Get Together, but anything that doesn't show up can be changed for something else.

All the CC deco items are either made by me (2) or are free and publicly available content made by someone else (3). For convenience, I'm including the CC in the download since it is all free stuff anyway.

I have this on a 30x20 lot, but you could put it on a bigger one if you wanted more forest around it.

It has two lot challenges - Spooky and Wild Foxes

The pond underneath is actually a pool, so it's swimmable. I made a custom water mask for it so it looks more like pond water. Your sims can swim with swans, and there are some fireflies along the edge, to help light up the night.

This lot also has ambient light, so if you download it and decide to edit it, the rectangular things suspended in midair are the environment lights.

The main part of the house is open concept, with a kitchen, living room and dining room. Since this was meant to be a pared-down build using minimal packs, there's no washer & dryer, but you could add one. Also, these are basic furnishings and I've just "staged" it for the photo tour. I'm going to change a lot of this for my own use, and anyone who downloads it can feel free to do the same.

This is what I like to call a 1.5 bedroom home. The nursery and bedroom are technically the same room, but there's the half wall to create a bit of a distinction between the two areas.

Next up, the tiny treehouse of my atla girlies! Not canon to their stories as they are both young adults living here BUT, the treehouse represents the orphanage Shen builds after the events of ATLA. This is just more functional for in game purposes aha! Again, original build was found on the gallery but altered by me to suit my needs.

The girls had a small celebration at home and splurged instead on fertility massages for Ume. Later on they went to a holiday party at the Gos' home where Marinella met Koji's friend, Clyde. They decided to be rock climbing buddies 😎

How to stop autonomous sleeping and napping in the tree house from Growing Together using MC Command Center.

Someone asked about this on Twitter. I realize this is Tumblr, but I wondered if other people needed to know about this too. Written instructions below in case the images are not working for you.

Have MC Command Center installed (obviously)

Click on your Sim. In the pie menu, click on MC Command Center

Click on MC Tuner

Click on “Enable Autonomy Scan”, exit out of the MC Command Center dialogue.

Click on the tree house. From the pie menu, select “Autonomy Scan”

From the autonomy scan menu, scroll for and click on “nap in enclosure” and “sleep in enclosure”

Verify that both of these are now at the top of the scan menu and that they are no longer enclosed in brackets. Leave the menu.

Click on your sim, select MC Command Center from the pie menu. Select MC Tuner. Select “Disable Autonomy Scan.”

There you go, your sims will no longer autonomously nap or sleep in the tree house. You CAN still direct them to nap or sleep there yourself if you would like.

'Nother cool thing I found out today is that yes, if you don't have the space to accommodate the new ginormous tree house inside of your lot, you can absolutely move it off lot using TOOL, and still be able to access it.
