soooo it sounds like they might be re-releasing the sims 1 & 2 soon, which negates a particular chunk of my sims zine regarding how neither game is supported by the publisher anymore and how you can still access them....... but either way i'm excited to finally share this big 60-page labor of love with everyone ❤️

i just sent the final version off to a badass local printer for a quote on getting some physical copies printed & bound, and the digital version of the zine will be available for free/pwyw as a token of gratitude to all the amazing sims modders and custom content creators that have been putting out their hard work for free for the past two decades.

i've been working on this zine in some shape or form since at least 2016 and i can't wait to finally share it. it's a love letter to a video game series that has been a big part of my life for almost as long as i've been alive and i hope you'll enjoy it ❤️

A bit of a rant, but I've already seen certain Sims 4 players talking about "how corrupted The Sims 2 is" and how "some players have already experienced game corruption". That wouldn't be too bad, because we are already used to this, but then you see people LAUGHING at the fact that *most* corruption is actually a myth and that the game isn't that easily breakable and saying that's not true.

I am baffled. So many talented modders, who know about how the code works more than the average simmer, have already talked about this. They've been digging into it for months, even years, so I'd assume we should take their findings into account instead of dismissing them just because you think every single thing that happens in your game is "corruption". STOP spreading misinformation just to make the game look bad.

Sims 3 gets a patch in 2025…

To do what @lazyduchess did back in like 2022?? 😂 EA has made a patch that “fixes” the Alder Lake issue on new Gen CPUs.

Warning: So far the reports are that it’s breaking multiple NRASS mods. Lazyduchess’s version doesn’t do that.

i'm so excited to share some custom traits with you guys !!! i usually get the MOST creative while im showering (i don't know why, but all of a sudden, i had the urge to make some traits, so here we are !!). do take note of a few things:

i do plan to update this mod in the future once i get the hang of the mod constructor, perhaps buffs and interactions? those might work well with the traits !!

as for now, think of these traits as personality "labels", and that should be all !!

1. What happened to Turbodriver is fckn disgusting. Alotta yall impatient mofos're ungrateful as all hell. Instead of having energy for folx like CWB, Bergdorverse, etc. who partake in utter bullswanky, these impatient amoral fckers decided that the person they wanted to give absolute hell to was TURBODRIVER-- who consistently updates and makes sure his ish work properly (for YEARS)-- who informed everyone in advance that the WickedWhims update was gonna be slightly delayed bc he'd be on vacation and for some reason, a 2-3day delay from yall Sims fuckin was what broke the camel's back?!?!?!?!

Yall need to get help.

I swear these new batches of folks're some of the most impatient and ungrateful mofos I've ever seen.

Some of these modders out here need to acknowledge (and have the same energy for) the shitty money grubbers out here who contribute in giving them a bad name cuz the way yall be PISSED to the fckn gods about having your content leaked while simultaneously look the other way (or choose to be unaware) when:

modders like CWB not only steal assets from other websites and sells it as they own, dox, harass, and try to bully people into silence for speaking out against them (and lie about having a fckn legal team) but recently

a mofo (skinccreator) admitting she only joined the Sims Community to make money (and it's been alleged that sis is straight up stealing from SL creators herself) and

GREENLLAMAS ADMITTING TO BEING LAZY AND PAYWALLING BASEGAME ITEMS AND RECOLORS while still charging folks full price for their Patreon.

is beyond ridiculous and hypocritical in my opinion.

The funny thing with The Sims as a fandom is that you'd think there would be minimal discourse because it's a life sim, right? 90% of people on average are playing their little guys, not really bothering with the townies beyond what's needed to get the legacy going.

Then you log in for a second to see some of the most batshit insane, petty infighting known to man.

Life of a still learning modder

My Sims 2 is not working but its my fault.

I have trained myself to laugh, reset them a couple times for my amusement maybe, and then exit the game and open SimPe.

Currently, delivery ppl for Chinese food error out. My sims are left to their autonomy bc i can no longer click on those specific delivery ppl.

FUN. I removed a mod I literally just made and it fixed it.

And that’s a good thing. At least its my screw up!

The error was check tree primitive blocked completion btw. set to next is a monster. It will literally set the stack object to f’n barstools. if you dont restrict it enough.
