Secret Life Session #5: Amount of hearts & Hearts gifted

Finally done with this one! Fun fact: I am in fact still pretty sick :|, so excuse me being late with everything recently (pain).

i may sound crazy for this but. skizz-lizzie siblings. no, jimmy and lizzie aren't siblings (not by blood at least), jimmy is pearl and grian's brother. but... ANYWAYS. I don't know where this idea came from but imo they're a very underrated duo so... ya :3

Ender/Fae genetics, Skizz got more of the first half of that and Lizz(ie) got more of the second. (And then Skizz died and came back able to shapeshift just like his sister could already do, but that's besides the point)

and of course if we play into one of my very favorite headcanons. imagine. the both of them growing up in the Seelie court (their land was much kinder to mortals, given that their ruler had fallen in love with one). skizz never quite fitting with the magical aspects, never understanding the thrill everyone else seemed to get from the Hunt. never quite perfecting the laws they have to abide by. meanwhile lizzie shaping up to be the perfect next ruler of the court, and yet still finding time for her little brother. helping him realize things about himself (*winks in transmasc*) even though she doesn't quite understand it (after all, the faeries are magical creatures, borne of it, exactly how they want to be in every way).

then one day skizz makes a friend on the edge of the forest's border! a mortal, half-demon and half-rock giant, who tries to kill him at first sight (before realizing that wait, nope, that's one of the fae, BAD IDEA). They get over it and become Besties. and skizz gives up some of that immortality, that magic, in order to well and truly live. mortality sounds fun! Lizzie, of course, sends him off with a smile and a reminder of her love in the form of some (non-magic-imbued) pastries. Skizz comes back two weeks later with some new friends in tow, stays a few days, leaves, comes back again. It continues.

And then one day, he brings another friend with him: a human, some kind of mage, with a streak of green in his hair. and gods, if lizzie isn't (internally) struck dumb at the sight of him!

At least she's subtle, though. The cute human is so obvious, turning into a blushing mess whenever he tries to talk to her, and honestly it's a little embarrassing at this point!

...doesn't change the fact that, a few years later, skizz comes back to the court for a very special occasion. Seems this lineage has a bad habit of falling for mortals, one way or another!

there is something so funny to me with the way scar and gem were (jokingly) shit-talking joel while he was killing skizz, saying that they might need to make him a grave next to lizze & how he will definitely die during this---

Double life but instead of sharing a health bar they share a body. One controls the mouse the other controls the keyboard. They have to coordinate to do anything.

Scar, mumbo, grian and Gem! I've been watching some episodes from other hermits as well but they don't hold my attention as well as these 4!

So, as we await the premier of the new Life series, I am drawn once again to "ideas for animatics that I will never make". The current song bouncing in my head is 'Passing Through' by Kaden MacKay. Which probably would serve well as a "passing vignettes of alliances" kind of animatic. Though it all depends on which groupings form, as all the players tend to do drama differently.

My hopes for the series.

Canary curse being broken

Jimmy having as good an ally as Tango (I'd love Ranch 2, Electric Boogaloo, but they probably won't team again so sadness)

Everyone that was in Last Life being in (Lizz, Skizz and Mumbo I miss so much)

Cub or Zed or Gem or JoeHills being added (they would bring some awesome energies)

Ren going full drama kid (he really hasn't reached beyond Red King levels yet)

IMPULSE BEING EVIL FOR ONCE!! (He deserves it after all that's happened to him, bonus points if his villainy is against Bdubs so we can have the full "allies->enemies->estranged->lovers->enemies but again" pipeline)

I got the idea from a post that basically said “what if the 3rd lifers all disappeared and when they came back they refused to tell anyone what happened”. i thought “maybe the reason lizze, pearl and mumbo now joined in last life is because they were told what happened”, and it became an au where the 3rd life/last life members want to tell their friends what they went through, but can’t because that would mean subjecting them to the same fate.

Zed learns about Skizz during 3rd life; when Tango and Impulse disappeared, he went to tell Skizz, but then found out he was also missing. He doesn’t have a good time, with his closest friends gone and not knowing if they’re okay.

When 3rd life ended and the players that were taken come back, Zed at first was overjoyed. He was so relieved to see Impulse, Tango and Skizz were alive and well, and wanted nothing more than to hold them and never let them go. But they were acting off, distancing themselves from him, and from each other... it almost felt like they were still missing. Zed for sure didn’t feel any less lonely or reassured.

season 8 starts, the rest of team zits isn’t acting any differently, and Zed decides that, fine, if they won’t talk to him then he’ll just leave them alone like they so desperatley want, and settles into his lab, far away from everyone else.

Then everyone goes missing again, this time along with Mumbo and Pearl, and he thinks someone from another server was gone as well. This time, it takes longer for them to get back. Once they do, they do the same spiel of acting like nothing’s wrong, like they hadn’t just been missing for the past months and returned all broken and scared. Zed decides he’s had enough of this game and goes to seek answers.

He does learn what happened at some point, though it wasn’t any member of team zits that told him, but another of the hermits gone missing. Zed isn’t sure if he should tell zits he knows the truth now, but before he can make a decision a new game begins.
