So thinking of the Chapter 7 Pome Arc…

(JP Ch 7 spoilers - ClochEpel delusions 😔)

wHAT IF CLOCHE’ FIRST KISS COMES FROM DREAM/BUFF EPEL PULLING HER IN FOR A BIG OL SMOOCH CAUSE IN HIS DREAM THEY’RE A COUPLE- Maybe it’d be right when Epel stops to greet everyone, he causally goes in for a good luck kiss.

After waking Epel up, he acts like he doesn’t remember it, and Cloche is too confused and preoccupied with the Malleus OB situation to even address it.

With ClochEpel being the ship “canon” to Cloche’ main story, Chapter 7 is when the relationship is budding (and she slowly realizes how shallow her feelings for Rook were).

I can just imagine Cloche and Epel being extra close in the mall during Vil’s dream, and Cloche being the one to console Epel after he was forced to abandon Vil with Rook.

The Rook!

A very looked over Corvid I think. Glossed over as crow adjacent but I think you're missing out, the bare base to the bill can be off-putting but draws attention away from the grey bill, iridescent feathers and feathery legs.

Smaller than the Carrion Crow the Rook sports a beak more adapted to its feeding habits, probing, now locally youll see them along the grass verges amongst the Jackdaw thier more slender sharp looking beaks pressing down into the soil in reach of worms and beetles and the like.

This social aspect is notable when they come home to roost in an evening chorus en masse as they settle down in colonies amongst the trees and in winter often with the Jackdaw too.

Crows might be cool but maybe its better to be a Rook after all.

What character do you think you could take in a fight? I think I could take on the oct tro. Mostly due to the useful fight knowledge I know about legs.

I think we'd realistically pretty much all lose almost immediately if the use of magic was allowed @.@ There's just such a wide range of spells avaliable to them to stop their opponent, not to mention that magic would have a bigger range than physical attacks.

If you're talking about purely just a physical fight (no magic allowed), over half the main cast would be crossed off my list in terms of viable foes. (I know there are other characters like NRC staff, RSA boys, Rollo, etc., but I'm just going to stick with talking about the main cast for ease.) If you think about it, so many of them are crazy fit or somehow physically strong 🥲 There's Trey (uh, from working at the bakery/playing soccer), Deuce (from his delinquent era), Leona and Jack (look at the size of their arms), the twins (they're basically Azul's enforcers), maybe Azul (who, while not great at athletics, still has a strong grip), Jamil (a professionally trained bodyguard), all of Pomefiore (they're all strong, even Epel for his small stature), Ortho (HE CAN LITERALLY FIRE A LASER AT ME), and all of Diasomnia (again, all strong).

I'm just a noodley-armed nerd so maybe I could take on Idia or Kalim and win 🤡 Idia would throw the towel early to avoid the trouble of fighting altogether, while Kalim would refuse to fight me or offer to just chill or hug it out instead.

Leith, staring at Rook's very interesting art collection, eyeing the taxidermied monkey and fish fusion suspiciously: "You uh... Have quite the collection here."

Rook hums deeply and fondly observes his magpie-esque horde: "Yes...... Hideous, isn't it?"

Leith, deflating in sheer uncontained relief: "Oh, thank God--Yes! It's absolutely dreadful. Where'd you get them and why? Cuz now I need to know."

Just some Ben 10 sketches I made for the past week cause something just put me in the Ben 10 fandom, my childhood.

This one didnt exactly go to plan. Too many distractions whilst working on it.

Last of the Corvids to add for this year! Theres still 2 more processing but we'll get there eventually.

The long pointier beak is really obvious with this guy. Although its only adult birds who have the bald looking face, juveniles are still black and fluffy, easily mistaken for Crows. Thier dense head and neck feathers are also very silky, artificially enlarging the head, this combined with that white patch of sparsely feathered skin makes that beak look even longer!
