Happy (late) eclipse day!

In Shifting Sands and also Linked Universe Time is heavily inspired by Guts! Even in canon the hero’s shade was probably inspired by the skullknight! So i just wanted to poke fun at that!

That Skullknight took me AGES to make.

I wanted to make some Berserk art for the eclipse! but a doodle turned into something else and now i’m late…

the insurmountable hate Griffith gets is honestly kinda scary like I absolutely do not have the guts to voice any kind of admiration for him outside of tumblr. have you ever argued with a typical Griffith hater?

Idk, I've gotten into a few contentious discussions over the years and responded to occasional anon hate, but I try to avoid arguments when I can. I'm more about preaching to the choir than trying to change people's minds about a story. It just seems silly to me to argue about fiction (in a heated way, not in a friendly discussion way ofc), and if someone's actively being an asshole because of their take on a fictional story then I'd rather avoid them than talk to them.

And yeah I know what you mean, I'd never want to hang out on reddit or skullknight or any other Berserk fandom hub that isn't right here lol. The typical Berserk fan is so obnoxious and aggressive and who wants to deal with that?

17 - Maria being young. Still blind is fine, but young on her way to Atlas to get her eyes looked at. Have the Grimm reaper be a kind of title her family passes down rather than just a one time nickname.

Other options include Nora falling instead of Jaune so she can find who she is without Ren.

Just RWBY Falling and they spend time actually talking to each other. I feel it's been too long since they as a team really got a chance to actually talk to each other. The entire team feels like it's having to suffer to give Bees more screentime together. I get that they're important to each other, and fans, but it shouldn't come at the expense of the other half of the team. I don't like how V9 paints bees as ignoring everything to get lost in each other. Time and place you know?

Move Cinder's backstory earlier. Getting it is good, but getting it so late after she's killed or gotten characters killed kinda detracts from the sympathy you can get from it.

Whiterose should be canon I stand by it. Cinwin of course too lol.

4- Yes I do, and yes they are. I do not like Whiteknight, I do not like Lancaster, Rosegarden, or Nut's and Dolts in canon. They're all varying degrees of popular. I also don't like Skullknight, but I also don't like it when people try to pair up Jaune with canon lesbians so that's part of it.

Fair warning I was pretty neutral on Bees, but if V10 is anything like 9 in terms of how Bees act I'll probably actively move to disliking them.

Sonic characters replacing the Berserk cast.

Its litterally just Berserk but instead the characters are Sonic dudes. Fuck my brain for coming up with this.

(Also to clarify, I'm not trying to draw meaningful parallels between the characters here, I'm just tossing them into the fiction blender and setting it to 10)

Alright so Guts=Shadow is so fucking obvious I don't even have to say it. Who the fuck else is gonna be that angsty and tragic.

This means logically we need to make Griffith=Sonic. It might hard to imagine the blue blur in such a villainous role, but like, he's pretty hard-lined about his ideals of freedom and independence. I could see him wanting to build a kingdom outta that. (Also he was voiced by Jason Griffith like c'mon this shit writes itself)

Casca=Amy is probabaly hella controversial but hear me out. She needs to idolize Sonic but still be able to form a strong emotional connection to Shadow. Take the badass leader role she took up in the IDW resistance/restoration and she fits like a glove. (Before you ask, I'm not writing this to ship shadamy, I'm just sick in the head.)

Ok so Rickert has gotta be Tails right? Like we've got our little inventor fox, idolizes Sonic, but ultimately has to find his own strength. Oh and can you imagine the slap?! Oblitetate that blue twink you funky lil fox!

Nearly forgot Puck! Initially I thought all the elves would just be Chao but then I realized... he's Chip from Sonic Unleashed. Chip as Puck is nearly 1 to 1 honestly.

Femto will be played by Neo Metal Sonic. I love the idea that Griffiths transformation made him cold, inhuman, not himself. While still obviously being who he always was underneath. Also keeps with the rest of the godhand being final bosses. Jumping forward a bit, I think when he reincarnates he oughta appear as super sonic constantly.

Farnese shall be Blaze. They've got an affinity for fire, confidence issues, noble status, and a religious affiliation (blaze as guardian of the Sol emeralds, close enough)

Serpico is definitely Silver then. His close relationship to Farnese/Blaze as well as somewhat whimsical attitude all line up well. And Silver's telekinesis lines up well with Serpico's eventual wind powers.

Speaking of religious affiliations, Azan can be Knuckles! Hes goofy but strong and devoted to his cause.

Isidro has gotta be Charmy Bee. No not JUST because hes an annoying little shit... also cus his bee stinger subs in well for a dagger.

Shireke is gonna be Cream the Rabit. Mostly this is an in-joke on Creams high power in gameplay, and it also let's her elf Comapnion be played by Cheese the Chao.

By extension to the above. Flora ends up being Vanilia. I ALMOST decided skullknight would he vector just to continue the milf-hunter crocodile joke but came up with something better.

Hello Bthump, I don't know if it's the right place to do it, I'm very sorry if you don't allow publicity, but I know by following your blog (that I really love btw) that a lot of your followers are desperate by the fanbase, I'm one of them. And with another person on reddit we agreed to create a safe space sub reddit for nuanced discussions about berserk that are majoritarily hated by the fanbase. Here the name of the sub in case : r/berserkdiscussion, for those who are interested by the idea.

No worries, I can't guarantee I'll publish every ask from someone who wants more eyes on a project, but this seems like a cool idea! It would be nice if there was a place for fans to discuss the story without being shouted down by the skullknight forum style fans.
