i’ve been writing for these four a lot recently. they’re all superheroes.

(note that stardust’s name is actually nightlight i’m just too lazy to update the ref)

they work in nine hour shifts to make sure someones always available to stop crime, and bc of overlap they usually also have a partner to work with. atlas and nightlight take the night shifts while wolf and eight take the day shifts.

ive been slowly making the refs for their villains but havent finished them all yet. here are the ones i have currently.

wolf and lynx are in love and atlas and nightlight are falling in love for the extent of the comic i’m writing for them. they all have their respective abilities and i’ve made posts about them (check #superhero ocs in my featured tags) but my favorite one is wolf’s ability to transfer memories and information via kissing on the mouth. there is no point to this other than it’s really funny. you’d think this wouldn’t come in handy but no they get in a lot of weird situations.

atlas teaches at a school in the daytime (their civilian name is ash kingsley, she also uses she/her as a civilian) and lives alone in their apartment for about half the story. (they let eight and nightlight move in eventually) i don’t have much written for their backstory since a lot of their character development takes place in the comic, but they decided to be a superhero bc growing up they watched people close to them get hurt by crime in the city and many of their friends moved away because of it. they’re a bit of a tech genius and made themselves mechanical wings that let them fly very poorly. their fist also glows when they clench it. they’re the shortest on the team.

nightlight is an alien whos race doesn’t really live on any planet but rather float around in space together like jellyfish. they eat asteroids to sustain themselves and hold hands when they sleep to keep themselves from floating away from the colony. when nightlight was a child, she accidentally let go of her parents hands while asleep and drifted alone in space for years. finally she landed on earth and realized just how alone shes been and decided to stay on earth for at least a little while. her real name is starsha. her powers aren’t really explained ever. she just has light powers.

eight comes from a very broken household and was kicked out at seventeen when his sibling outed him to their parents as trans. they’ve done their best to rebuild their life since then, but are still on the cusp of being homeless. he moves in with atlas once he is actually homeless and stays with them until he can get back on his feet. their name is The Eighth Diamond bc it’s their favorite playing card, but everyone always asks him what happened to the last seven diamonds which drives him crazy. they throw playing cards that explode on impact into elemental things: plant explosion, ice explosion, fire explosion etc. he’s trying his best to build a career as an artist but this does not pay well. his real name is marco blank.

wolf comes off as very cool and collected, but shes secretly a huge loser and the rest of the team eventually figures this out. her costume is made almost entirely out of trash and even her domino mask is just duct tape. as a civilian she has red circles over her eyes bc of how much the duct tape irritates her skin. shes a special kind of mutant who can grow animal features and have colored hair on command (so she can have a magical girl transformation essentially. lynx has the same mutation) and she has enhanced smell and hearing and has claws. shes also colorblind. her real name is hailie kane.

my favorite supervillain, who i have not designed yet, is the Evil Wizard. he is the main source of all their problems. one time he switched atlas and nightlights clothes so everyone thought they had sex. he constantly takes away their memories so they all have to kiss wolf to get them back. he turned atlas and wolf into beasts once. he’s the king of fuck around and find out. he loves annoying the heroes. he doesn’t really even have any reason for it, he’s not trying to take over the world or anything, he just is really bored and also an evil wizard. this is a bad combination.

lynx is not really a villain, her day job is actually working as a famous supermodel, but she also steals a lot of things (mostly from museums) to sell and give money to poor people. but for the most part her supervillain activities consist of fuck with wolf until shes so mad she fights back which leads to making out half the time. her real name is felicia dawn. she has cat powers.

the rat burglar’s entire motif is he wants to impress his evil mushroom girlfriend. he turned himself into a rat to be with her. he almost blows up eight and wolf to impress her. he wants her to say mean things to him while killing him. he just really loves her.

his evil mushroom girlfriend, who i havent found a good enough name for, is probably the most evil out of all my villains. she wants to turn everyone in the city into mushroom zombies to do her bidding. she almost turns atlas into a mushroom zombie. she has a very creepy aesthetic.

kalmourn is a shadow demon dragged out of it’s world by some teenagers who wanted to summon a demon. it can’t figure out how to get back and is stuck in this world as a shadow. it can shapeshift and pick people up by their shadows but it’s deathly afraid of light. it only knows pain and anguish and is trying to eat everyone in the city becuase that’s all it knows how to do. at some point it finds a baby shadow demon and stops trying to fight so it can take care of it.

i’m drawing a comic for these guys and slowly posting it here. they go on a lot of adventures. they die a few times. i’ve been working on them for a while.

Backstory: Grew up in a small house as an only child with a fairly normal childhood, he never really went through anything major as a kid. When he was 16 he met someone in highschool named Santiago who was always fidgeting with something whether that be a camera, a tape or even his own laptop, it was no wonder considering he did well in IT classes. Cole was interested in what the other lonely boy was doing so he simply asked about it, a short conversation forming between two of them about their shared interests in video games, through this they discovered that they had one or two classes together AND they lived close to eachother.

In each class, day by day they became closer until they would at one of

their houses sleeping over for the night, staying up until the early morning hours playing a game on the play station, passing out on the bed with the pause menu music still sounding in the backround. They were eachothers best friend even when their group grew in numbers, it went as far as getting into a relationship, romantic feelings forming around a year into their friendship.

They’ve been dating for 5 years by now, Santiago has his own youtube channel fixing different electronics which brings in their income meanwhile Cole has a mainly nightshift 7 eleven job. This is where things go a bit..wrong.

Being 21 he juggles college as well as work, it really takes a tole on his mental health plus his sleep cycle, he develops insomnia not long after. Despite his suffering he seems pretty relaxed around others, he’s polite at work, loving towards those he deeply cares about so really theres nothing particularly out of the ordinary..right?

Wrong.

In November Cole seems odd, it alarmed Santiago when he would become more agitated or stay up at night not even attempting to sleep, he’d seem more prone to “colds” as well when he never was before. He’d get back late from walks, wouldn’t answer texts and was having some serious memory problems for example he wouldn’t remember even having certain conversations.

Santiago assumed it was just all the stress from his usual daily life, he never thought he’d have to report his lover as missing.

The operator effect: Causes Cole Memory Loss, Slight Seizures, Coughing Fits, Paranoia and Serious Anxiety, Hallucinations, Insomnia, Increased Intrusive Thoughts, Coughing Blood

Him when under the influence of the operator is named Crackle. Crackle is more animal like, a predator hunting prey, he walks more low like he’s stalking and he can be quite aggressive.

I do not know when she arrived at caml but I do know that she only stays for the summer. Although she is very much a people person, sometimes being the voice of reason or being a therapist to traumatized demigods like the rest of her siblings is exhausting. Sometimes she'll cope with that by letting herself be reckless and not have to worry about things. Other times she'll just lay in her cabin for a while to soak in the quiet, or rather, what little quiet there is at camp. One day after Leo managed to basically undo the reprogramming Glykera had done to her, he went to Melissa to try and see if she would be able to help Glykera despite her being an automaton (see the oc bellow this one). She wasn't able to use her powers as well to help Glykera since she is an automaton, she was able to help her deal with these new emotions and find better coping skills.

my experience as an extra on cherry

hi!!!! i wanted to make a post about my experience on tuesday the 19th. so i got the email at 7pm on monday but didnt read it till 11pm so my ass was freaking out and my call time was 6:30am so i had to figure out who would drive me and what outfits i should pack and called off "sick" for work lmao so the night before was a mess and i got 0 sleep not even 10 min LMAO. so i get to the place at 6:15am and we did all the paperwork and stuff that took a little while. and then went to the wardrobe team so they can confirm your outfit was good (in the email it had certain colors and looks they wanted) my outfit was perfect. i wore green cargo pants, black turtleneck, leather jacket and black combat boots. then, we ate breakfast and around 7:30am we went to shoot the first scene. basically we were on the campus and it was a scene where tom was hallucinating so we all had to walk in a very fast pace (i was literally dying bc i have asthma) bc they will be putting a slo mo effect on us bc well hes hallucinating. we did this take like 20 times and it was exhausting lol. but then after that, we went inside a little to warm up (all the scenes we shot that day were all outside in the freezing cold) . next scene was a scene where tom and ciara were on campus and they run into eachother and talk basically lol. we were all in like 2 lines and the crew memeber instructed us to either go straight, in front of the camera and tom & ciara or around them on the other side and i did every angle. i cant believe how close i was to him. his american accent. omg. but we did this scene SO. MANY. TIMES. we started at 9am and stopped at 2:30pm to take our lunch and holy fuck i couldnt feel my feet. we got handwarmers tho during the time so that helped a bit. we took our lunch and then went back out to the same area and then they did a different scene, still talking to eachother but different lines. we did this scene so many times too bc they shot it from different angles(like the camera facing tom and then facing ciara). were still walking around them and in front of them and the same stufff. when we werent filming and we were all just chilling waiting to start, tom was laughing and smiling so much and was talking to the crew and russo bros alot he had so much energy meanwhile i was freezing my ass off and could barely move but its ok LMAOOO. but it was cool to watch tom acting irl and then just chillin on the set lol and also harry was there and both of them were always goofing around. btw ciara had the cutest outfit on i was obsessed with her shes so cute. they were always touching up tom and ciaras makeup prob bc of the cold and fixing toms wig. at some points, the lady was fixing the back of it and pulled hard for some reason and toms head just goes flying back and his face was like "wtf" lmao. the crew are also so laidback and cool. at one point they literally just had takeout food boxes on top of the camera 😂💀. whenever we had to reset to our spots i always had to squeeze between all the crew and tom and ciara and the russo bros to literally get back to my spot so all u hear from me is "excuse me sorry sorry" lmao. at one point when we werent filming yet one of the cameras was pointed at my direction and i did a peace sign at it 😫 i hate myself. the last scene we did that day, tom and ciara were sitting on a picnic table and they were doing a wide shot, so all of us were scattered around the campus doing different stuff like i was with 5 other girls and out part was like admiring this art piece that was there and talking. that didnt take long we were done in like a half hour. ummm and basically that was it. im so incredibly grateful for this entire experience. i will cherish the memories of it forever. and im so proud of tom for putting all his effort into this film hes going to do such an amazing job and i cant wait to see it.

So 2020 - the iconic year of craziness and uncertainty. 

It’s now infamously known as a year which was shit.. but for me and kenny,  we actually made it a great one. 

Okay - so our plans for holidays to Japan and Fiji were cancelled... Berlin pride weekend cancelled, hen parties to Dublin and Bristol cancelled.. weddings post poned (and one cancelled). But our life has totally changed... but I am very happy with this new way of life :)

So after my latest post... I got the job at the Spire Wellesley as a senior Physiotherapist. Me and Kenny decided it was time for us to move out of London, back to Essex near his family an buy a house!

Kenny was doing all his work from home, we were spending lots of money on renting in London, for a small space andall the restaurants etc were closed in London, and way things are, won’t be the same for a while. We kept looking on rightmove, and found one house we couldn;’t stop thinking about, so we booked a viewing on Mias birthday. The day before we saw another house that looked nice and within budget so we booked to view that after.

We viewed the house and absolutely loved it.. even though it was above budget. We made a couple of under offers which got rejevcted and eventually decided we were willing to pay more for our dream house! The offer got accepted.. an amazing deal of 470k (was sold for 469k last year). We moved in with Kennys parents for 3 months, which flew by! It was nice to be looked after again and spend time with kids and pets and time with kennys parents. It was the summer so really appreciated the garden after living in a small one bedroom.Kenny was working in Mias old bedroom (pink princess) and I worked doing PIP from home before I started at Spire. I worked Portland Physio Tuesdays, then Spire Wed/Thur/Fri, then had a nice 3 day weekend :)

Working at Spire was a big shock for me. Firstly, my role was not as senior as described.. .al though I am paid as a band 7.. then role is more band 6. I felt like I had taken a step down. Also, the fact i WAS WORKING in a hospital and seeinga lot of post op stufff... a lot of stuff i DONT HAVE EXPERIENCE IN. but! I have much more experience in now :)

The team are lovely, although they can be a bit bitchy about eachtoher which makes my anxiety bad.  Hoping when we can all hang out it will be easier.

Soo, september 1st we moved into our beautiful home. We love it so much!

We managed to have family and some friends other briefly whilst restrictions allowed.. but majority of the time, no one is allowed to come in.  So been strange.. we have got most of our furniture in... feels like home. 

- Waiting for dressing table and bed side tables to arrive.

- Waiting for hanging egg chair to come back in stock for conservatory - and then a low sofa and maybe drinks cart? And lots of green plants!

- Bathroom - BIG refurb, starting 1st week of March.

- Office - hopefully get this done :) Need to find carpenter

- Cinema room - a project to be done with Roy and Joe.

A big thing how our lives have changed is Brie and Cheddar. My early christmas present ... two beautiful kittens! They are half Maine Coon and half Domestic Short Hair. We got them from a pregnant lady in Luton... the start was a bit difficult, they both had bad worms.. particularly Cheddar, this affected his growth. Brie sprained her paw after jumping from a great height.  Brie got cat flu (most likely from her mother) and Cheddar got kitten acne. BUT.. I feel things have settled down now and we have two very happy, loving, cuddly kittens. They play like crazy and sleep lots. Tomorrow Cheddar gets last vaccinations and microchipped. Then they will be allowed outside - they are quite small though!I am getting kenny kitten leashes for his birthday so we can take them in garden for a walk, then hopefully to the mount! I am very nervous about letting them out into the wild by themselves.. what if they get run over, lost, eaten by a fox? All these things scare me. 

Cheddar: a playful boy, caring, loves to sleep nearby, big eyes and a small neck / long skinny legs. loves to headbutt. PURRS SOOO LOUD

Brie: a princess, a real lap cat, fluffy and loves her food. Very loving. Can be a bit naughty too. Loves to lie on Kennys lap particulary. A very good loaf.

So yes... our life has changed massively! 

From South Africa getting drunk on vineyards, safaris and penguin beaches. Living in central london. To... living in a 4 bedroom house with garden and parking (a cinema room)...with 2 fur babies.  me learning to drive again! I am now confident at driving, not so much at parking or reversing.

So much change! But it’s good :)
