#happycincodemayo and HAPPY 5th ANNIVERSARY to Summer Solace Tallow! 🎈🎈🎈 Five years ago today I left my job as a French Chocolatier to start my own skincare product line using local, high quality Tallow from pasture-raised and Holistically managed cows in Northern California. I teamed up with the forever amazing @thelocalbutchershop in Berkeley to source fresh suet from @stemplecreek Ranch in Petaluma and started to create my own low and slow rendering process by using clay pots thrown by local potters. I source locally for all of my ingredients. The calendula is grown by herbalists and medicine makers in Sonoma, the award-winning olive oil is grown by the Yocha Dehe Wintun Nation @sekahills In Capay Valley, Yolo County. To create my bespoke and harmonious blends using natural, wild crafted scents are sourced from the prestigious perfumer and oil guru, John Steele. 🙏 Within a week my core product line of 5 tallow balms were complete. I called my work a Slow Body Care Movement. Using local, seasonal, and organic ingredients didn’t have to apply to foods, but also as a body care moisturizer for the whole family to help nourish the skin, protect, heal and soothe skin irritations like dry skin, eczema, and psoriasis. Thank you to my husband Brian @anabatic , my family, friends, customers, farmers markets @aim_farmers_markets @urbanvillage , shops, and the City of Oakland for all of your support, encouragement, and love. Estos dos bomboncitos, de bebés, tuvieron algunos brotes de dermatitis atópica (algún bote de crema con corticoides hizo falta😢). 🌿 Pensamos que era cosa de familia porque son primos, pero en cambio, no nos sonaba que ninguna de mis hermanas ni prim@s hubieran tenido esos problemillas¿Qué pasa con la piel de esta generación entonces?🤔 🌿 Os dejo una explicación que he encontrado. Es de Coque López, experta en la materia🤓: "Con la industrialización del sector de la cosmética y la producción en masa, se han ido perdiendo muchos PRINCIPIOS ACTIVOS de las PLANTAS sustituidos por CENTENARES de QUÍMICOS SINTÉTICOS, algunos de ellos realmente dañinos para la salud y que están provocando REACCIONES ALÉRGICAS SERiAS". 🌿 Pienso que prácticamente ninguna piel nace sensible, más bien hacemos que se vuelva por la agresión de estas sustancias irritantes...😌 🌿 ¡Ah pero hay buena noticia! Já existem condicionadores sólidos também. . Eu já estava usando esse shampoo da phytoervas que é sem sal, sem sulfato, sem corantes, sem parabenos e que não é testado em animais... ❤️🐶 Ou seja, muito bom para o meu cabelo e para alguns animais. Mas ainda havia um problema: a embalagem 🧴, o plástico 🤦🏼‍♀️. Aí encontrei a solução nos shampoos em barra e eles vem embalados com papel 😌. Agora eu poderia, além de escovar os dentes, também lavar os cabelos 🚿 sem gerar lixo! 😃🥰 . Só que tinha que ser de camomila né, queremos cabelos com reflexos dourados! 😝 Aí encontrei esse na ELO 7, na loja da Trugillo, feito com calêndula, camomila e macela. Chegou essa semana e já experimentei ontem. Parece que deu bom. E tem que dar porque comprei logo 4 pra compensar o frete e pra durar o ano todo. 😝 Fez uma espuma muito boa e o cheiro é bem suave. . Há várias vantagens nesse tipo de shampoo: *são feitos com ingredientes naturais, não agridem os nossos fios e o couro cabeludo. 💁🏼‍♀️ *duram 2 a 3x mais, pois são concentrados. Os líquidos tem praticamente 80% de água. Aí você compra ele sólido, usa a água do chuveiro e economiza 💰! 😉 *são mais fáceis de transportar em viagens, sem se preocupar com o limite de 100ml ou dele derramar 🙈. *agridem menos o meio ambiente! ❤️🌎 .
