⚠️TRIGGER WARNING⚠️: INCEST MENTION

I don't know if it's sarcasm, but I discovered that some time ago there were people going around saying shit like "childhood friends to lovers is incest". With this post I will dismantle their "arguments":

1- ~"They grew up together and that's what siblings do!"~ Not only siblings grow up together, friends can also grow up together and in fact they are FRIENDS, not siblings. Here is the definition of the word "sibling":

2- ~"For some people friends are like family!"~ This is true, but not everyone has the same experiences or has the same opinion about certain things. Just as there are people who love their friends in the same way they love their family members, in the same way there are people who love their friends only as friends.

3- ~"What about found family then?"~ As I said before, not everyone loves their friends the same way they love their family. If I'm not mistaken, in the case of the "found family" I think we could HYPOTHETICALLY talk about emotional incest, since that from what I understand the members of "found families" love each other as if they were blood-related. I said "hypothetically" because members of "found families" are not related to each other either genetically or legally.

SIDE NOTE: Yes, adoptive siblings fucking each other is incest, even though they are not related by blood. In the eyes of the law they are siblings and were raised as such.

4- ~"This trope makes me uncomfortable because my friends are like family to me!"~ And that's fine. Like I said before, not everyone has the same life experiences, but that doesn't give you the right to label a certain trope as incestuous when it's not just because you don't like it.

That said, learn the true meaning of words before using them. Unfortunately many people have been victims of incest and seeing their trauma mispresented in this way will only trigger them even more.

To answer your question, it's not something I've thought about yet so it's not set in stone... But i do have a few ideas!

First off, it's good to know that Narcisa is very introverted and it's very hard to crack her open and for her to be 100% comfortable with you. It's the kind of friend that always puts a little distance between herself and anyone else and slowly becomes more familiar with you over time (can take years for her to get comfy).

Ewelein and her would have an interesting relationship to say the least because Ewelein started as her doctor which created a sort of imbalance between them but they still worked it out and she's the person Narcisa trusts the most!

Jamon is just someone who everyone gets along with and I think that includes Narcisa as well.

Karenn and Chrome are a particular bunch. Although both Narcisa and Karenn are very big gossipers (tho Narcisa is more of an eavesdropper that takes the secret to her grave and rarely shares what she knows), they aren't as close as Karenn thinks they are, Narcisa is just like that. At least for now... There's also the fact that Narcisa third wheels hard when she's around them and it's not super fun for her...

She likes hanging out with the purrekos because she feels like they're easy to understand and don't have complex motives when it comes to her. She's just a client and she really appreciates the simplicity.

And of course, there's Ezarel which I've spoken about their relationship a bit already and I will keep developing it as I go ;)

And uhmm,, that's all I can think of right now!! If anyone wants her to be friends with their ocs, I'm really open to that just dm me or send me an ask or whatever you're more comfortable with!!
