Pokemon Scarlet/Violet - Voice Actor Headcanons (Teal Mask and Indigo Disk Edition)

So, the version of this post I did for the main game turned out to be one of my all time most popular posts on this platform, and I'm honestly super happy about that. The majority of people seemed to really like the voices that I picked for each of the characters, and there were some fun discussions in the reblogs and comments.

So it was only a matter of time before I got around to doing the DLC characters, and now that Indigo Disc is finally out, better now than never. Pokemon obviously rarely has voice acting in the main series, so this is the next part of the series where I assign English VA's to each of the characters.

Before I get into this, there are a few points I need to reiterate, as I often do with these posts.

This is NOT CANON. These are HEADCANONS and are unofficial. It’s just a hypothetical situation. If the characters were voiced, this is who I imagine would voice them.

Every major character in the DLC is included here, so there are HEAVY SPOILERS for the game’s DLC storylines. DO NOT READ THIS POST IF YOU HAVE NOT PLAYED THE TEAL MASK OR INDIGO DISC OR DON’T WANT TO BE SPOILED.

This VA Headcanons post is SPECIFICALLY for the characters from Pokemon ScarVi's DLC. If you want to see the characters from the main game, the post is here.

As was the case with Nemona and Penny, it's highly likely that the characters will get official English VA's in Pokemon Masters. Remember that this post was constructed prior to this.

Snacksworth just meeting all the chosens in his travels- (I know he says he just traveled around Paldea but it's more interesting for him to have traveled the world)

Fun fact I haven't met Snacksworth yet lmao.

I think he would either be an absolute boon to Jude or the bane of their existence. Somehow knowing the diets of legendaries is good to know and probably something he learned from other Chosens- that's good. But from just him telling the sv player that it's like. Bro. Don't. Stoooop. Needless to say Jude is conflicted on the man. I think anyone else that would have met him thinks he's nice.

I need, in my life, Post-Indigo Disk, Drayton being the only one who realizes this chick who fell out of the sky because of Celebi—who has brown and green hair in a weird pattern that suspiciously resembles two people he knows—is Kiki and Juli's future daughter

Drayton: Hey, don't you think her hair looks kind of...interesting?

Kieran: It's the same shade of brown as Juliana's <3

Drayton, standing in front of him: Okay, but what else?

Kieran, who was watching Juliana tell the girl about Miraidon: Well, I'd be able to tell you if you weren't blocking my way!

Carmine does catch on, but a part of her thinks it's funny to pretend that she doesn't get the very logical conclusion he's pointing out because it's so rare for her to be the one with the upper hand??

It gets better when the girl catches on to what Aunt Carmine's doing, and she's like, "sorry, Uncle Drayton, this is for all the times you played a prank on me. Aunt Carmine's my favorite now <3"

Pelipper mail! The pelipper shows up wearing a lei, and very delicately hands you a full glass.

The glass immediately lights on fire when Gill takes it. Not on the outside, of course. Just the drink itself. There's a whiff of cinnamon as the flame flows upwards and then settles back down. How did that even happen?

The note attached reads;

"Hey hey, if it ain't lil Gill! My little...cousin? Niece? Whatever, my lil bud! Geez, it's been a minute hasn't it kid? Took a look through your blog, you're really getting up to some shenanigans out there huh? Seems like you need to take a self care day to me, lil bud. Take this drink on down to that fancy underwater bubble thing and just really soak up the moment, k? There's also a bunch of fluffy lil friends that always show up and cozy right on up to me whenever I light this one up. Your uncle Snacksworth tells me they're called Slither Wing, straight from the crater of Paldea. Ain't that neat!"

this guy online has a bunch of stories about different legendary pokemon hes met around paldea! im gonna go on a journey of my own around the region soon to visit all the different spots, even if his stories are probably fake! ive been going through his stories and think i’ve figured out all the locations based on all the maps and pictures of paldea’s landscape i found!

a little worried i’ll need a service pokemon or something with me though, even though i wanna do this alone

the Indigo Disc added in... eh, birds, beasts, not the regis, nothing from Sinnoh or Kalos, let me guess about 20 legendaries across both versions, but each version only has about 14 itself, and three of them need multiplayer to become available at all. lets get started with the next most recent generation, Galar's Kubfu and Glastrier! Spectrier is a Violet exclusive, and i find it interesting Calyrex was just... not included.

Kubfu's the lowest level of the Snacksworth legendaries, and Porto Marinada has two scrolls up for auction once you catch it, so it can evolve.

Character Heights Update!

[As a follow-up to this post, I took the time to convert (most of) the textures needed in the right file structure in order to construct this image!

What this image is is most (not all, since some random villagers from the DLC are in this folder set too) of the characters in the unique character models folder from Scarlet and Violet. They're all to scale so they can be stood next to each other to see how tall they are compared to each other.

On this graph, the red line is Giacomo's height (since that's what I need for this blog/comic).

Once you progress far enough in your adventure in The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero Part 2: The Indigo Disk, you’ll be able to use a device called the Synchro Machine to see the world through the eyes of your Pokémon. While synchronized with one of your Pokémon, you’ll be able to move them around and have them battle wild Pokémon—a fresh new way to play the game. (You’ll be able to use it once you help a scientist in the Terarium with her research.)

You can also use the Synchro Machine when playing via the Union Circle.

Blueberry Quests earn you Blueberry Points upon completion—a currency used at the academy. You can use BP in places such as the school store or cafeteria, but that’s not all. After joining the League Club, you’ll be able to use BP to do things like add features to the clubroom or invite other Trainers you know to the academy. You can also take on group quests with your friends, which may task you with things like searching for Ditto that have transformed into blocks and hidden themselves around the Terarium!

In order to encounter past Legendary Pokémon, talk to Snacksworth at Blueberry Academy. If you’ve met certain conditions, you’ll be able to get snacks from Snacksworth that let you encounter specific Legendary Pokémon back in the Paldea region.

You will only be able to meet Snacksworth after completing the main story of The Indigo Disk. To receive snacks that allow you to encounter these Legendary Pokémon, you must complete Blueberry Quests (BBQs) and report back to Snacksworth.

Also, something I caught on a rewatch: who are you?

Edit: Yeah, I agree it's probably Mela. The straight hair (when Giacomo doesn't change his hairstyle) threw me off. Plus, I feel the Team Star outfit made her look taller in comparison with the regular Naranja Academy uniform.
