Part 2 of Riverstar's Home cats! Again, small spoiler warning for some discussion below the cut.

To start out with, we have Cleo and her mate Casper, and their kits Hunter and Scout. The marking on Casper's back is meant to look like a ghost. Also I tried to make Hunter look like Hunter from TOH, but I don't think it worked super well. Next are Hopper and Scooby, two cats who joined the Cats of the Park, and then Sparrow, Grub, and Snail. Sparrow and Grub were in Slash's group, but joined the Cats of the Park, and Snail was in Slash's group and stayed a rogue.

WC/RW DAY 4: GOURMAND

meet peachstar, the leader of drizzleclan! he is a fawn ticked tabby :] those are yellow primroses on her tail, to symbolize her love for drizzleclan [and her mate, redsong]!! peachstar in general is a very loving and gentle leader, but fights with the ferocity of a true parent

the dots on her forehead are actually a leader mark!

and here's his kits, snailkit and bugkit! they're almost 6 moons old, and love bothering their dad to make them apprentices early

day 4: childhood / post-conclusion

YIPPEE MY PHONE CHARGER STARTED WORKING AGAIN I CAN POST ON TIME!!!

childhood concept notes: i found an old sketch i never finished of kid noel kind of peeking around the corner, wanting to talk to sirius but too nervous to bother him… i imagine noel would immediately get way more shy and worried to bother anyone when claire’s not around, so maybe the story behind this is that claire’s out doing something for a bit and noel is too shy to talk to sirius by himself, but wants to. idk i thought it was kind of cute, so i thought i might revive that old idea.

art notes: i actually do to an extent like the lighting but like i am really abusing blending modes. gotta take shortcuts to get it done in time....

post-conclusion concept notes: naturally i decided to go with WC claire’s ending (though for the other conclusions i think there’s interesting possibilities regarding sirius's reaction…), so this is a scenario in which sirius rescues noel, except, it… doesn’t exactly go according to plan. because i can't let them be happy <3 - though i think it's clever to include childhood and post-conclusion for the same day, because it kind of creates a duality between the past and the future. i like it.

art notes: eeeeehhh not what i had in mind and i don't like how the blending modes looked but i was trying harder to integrate cell shading with the other.... vague... putting a more painterly brush everywhere and hoping it looks okay lmao

@snaill-dragon here are the designs, I initially wanted to put them under the ask but when I was done I realized it would be so long and off-topic so here's what I got so far

Embermask and Snailtuft are Feverstrike's siblings (half-sister and adopted brother respectively) and Honeyweed and Silentsong are Embermask's kits, given up to be raised in Windclan with Feverstrike, Snailtuft and his mate Darkfreckle as their primary caretakers.

The rest of the sisters! There's the founder, Cloud, and the current leader, Snow, then Snow's daughter Haze. And Sunshine. Then there's Stream and his mother Petal, Tempest and Hawk. Stone and Grass are Tempest's sons, Flurry and Sparrow are Hawk's daughters while Chestnut and Snail are Hawk's sons. Furze is Creek's mother, and Mud and Spider were mentioned to have left without being able to communicate with the spirits in Tree's Roots. Stream was adorable in that novella. Whole lotta funky eyes in this one.
