[Magi rewatch] Episode 13: Prince of the Rebellion [Part 1]

I can (did and will) complain about many things regarding the first season of the anime, but DAMN do they have cool titles.

Also, special episode, as it also has a new op.

Matataku Hoshi no Shita de - Under the Twinkling Stars. I've never checked the translation of the title, ngl.

Magi maps are a headache, but it does look cool.

OPs really out there trying to fool me into believing they're an actual trio instead of a duo + Morgiana, and boy will I get to this part either this or the next episode. Cuz there's one thing I gotta comment on, but idk when it happens in the anime.

You know Gordon Ramsey and that "You fucking donkey"? That's me with Hakuryuu. And kinda Sinbad, too. But mostly Hakuryuu. Every time I remember the Kou Empire Arc, and then the Final Arc, I'm like, somebody should take a bat and beat the shit out of you. Don't get me wrong, I love him, but boy does his writing frustrate me.

On a different note, RIP to Hakuryuu kinda. In this OP, I mean. I love Team Zagan & kinda miss it, but here we get Aladdin, Alibaba & Morgiana flying around, and then him observing that only. Not a part of the group, not really. Tho maybe the fact that he's looking up is, like, supposed to be a foreshadowing of him joining? Hm.

Welp, Morgiana out there dancing, and these two went to be a duo on their own. I will get to that moment, trust me. As much as I love it, I do have one complaint.

Also, look at the sacred not-full moon. Very rare sight.

I wonder if the moon looking like that is, like, symbolic, cuz Sinbad is half-fallen, and all. So if you go with my moon->fate/guidance, no moon->depravity/rebelling against fate, then this moon is, well, both. So, Sinbad.

The song is, overall, pretty ok. Very Magi-OP-like. Like, no deep feelings, it's just neat.

No, srsly, how were the flames supposed to cushion him here. For one, it's fire, which is still dangerous, MV or not, and for other... just genuinely what was it meant to do. I'd understand if he went ablaze before getting hit, to at least harm his enemy at the same time, but here... Idk, man. Weird magic shit, I guess?

Interesting. Here after being hit Alibaba thinks "There's no way I can defeat him", while in the manga he goes "I don't have the time to play with him!". So, completely different attitudes. Anime!Alibaba doubts himself more, while Manga!Alibaba focuses on getting shit done, maaybe a bit hastily, but he does keep the cool head in spite of that.

Day 3: Personal HC

For day 3, I have decided to share some of my Sinbad HCs. I have lots of them and here I am going to share a few. Please bear in mind that these are personal HCs and I am not trying to insult other fans' HCs. Also, the list below contains HCs that root back in SnB, so beware of spoilers if you haven't read it. That being said, let's dive into my HC world. 

1. Sinbad is claustrophobic.

Sinbad is man who likes freedom in general, to have adventures and having the world at his feet, not to mention his pride which borders on ego. Imagine throwing such a man into a small freezing cell with no way out. It would be traumatizing for a normal person but for Sinbad it must  have been more than just that. Drilling such deep fear into one's skull  and breaking their pride is not something that heals entirely. Not in my idea at least. that's why his personal rooms are very spacious ( apart from the fact that he is a show off ) and his window is mostly open when Judar comes to visit him at nights in my sinju fics.

2. He has spoon nails.

Some of his nails have abnormalities in shape thanks to them being pulled in the slavery arc. 

3. He has liver problems.

Do I even need to explain this? He drinks too much alcohol for his poor liver to remain healthy.

4. His fashion sense is excellent but weird at times.

That doesn't mean he has a bad fashion sense per se, actually he has an excellent one, as it was mentioned in a conversation between Judar and Yunan. ( his wardrobe was the latest fashion and probably it is now too, considering how much of a show off he is. Just one look at the CEO arc and it's obvious) it means that even if that doesn't make sense to anyone else or doesn't look good in others' eyes, he is confident enough to hold onto it, doesn't matter if it is personal or decorative. ( As judar mentions above about his taste about sacared palace. )

5. The only one he is truthful to is himself.

6. He is a gambler ( yes, I mean he has an addiction to it ) .

He is a gambler ( which is canon in SnB ) but when he starts it, he gambles to the bitter end. At some point between SnB and magi he had stopped gambling in the sense of playing cards and table games but he is addicted to it. So, I think one of the reasons he has such a shrewd mind and likes to play with politics even to the point of ruining countries, despite the fact that his general policy is building not ruining ( like he did with Kou and Ren Kouen ) is that. When he finds a worthy opponent or situation, he even bets his life on it. it's something he can't give up on even if he wants to.

7. He is aromantic bisexual. This just my personal HC and I understand that many people may disagree or HC him as something else. Let's be friendly here. ❤

Okay so I do have a certain habit of creating mutiple sketches and never finishing them so I decided to post them and add some context as well because why not?

1. This drawing is just a ship art from the cartoon pilot of 3 Dog Band which was a pilot that submited along with some other pilots on a contest to see which one would make it to a show and Regular Show won. I did watch Regular Show but I was unaware there was a competition with also other pilots and that 3 Dog Band even existed, I rrally like the concept and my favorite is the german blonde dog seen in my ship art with a random fox lady that was present dancing in the pilot. This is another ship art this time from french comics named "Les Nombrils"(The Bellybuttons in english)which is about 3 friends and their dramas Jenny,Vicky and Karine. Its really good to read and I have read it online and love it, and this girl in blue Vicky is in love with the goth girl that her parents forbid her to be with because they are homophobic. If u want to really undersand anything that I just said the better to do is to read the actual comics:

Not much to explain, I created a SU gem called "moonstone"the basic backstory about gems that live on the moon completly unaware of human life, they also seem to be directly created by moon dust and rocks. However, they are not happy about the regime in the gem empire and decided to stay hidden on the moon.

A sketch about 2 of my OCs that I lost inspiration to continue, they were dacing,they ar a sheep who is a singer named Hilda and a mean wolf called Arthur who is a mafia boss and rules over the city(this takes places in the 50-60s). Hilda is requested to sing at a night bar in visit of Arthur who is considered someone really important and dangerous, so Hilda is forced to sing and Arthur begans to have interest in her and later fall in love with her.

(Not gonna give up spoilers about the full story but there is a plot twist in it)

I like Euphoria and Metal family and once I saw the actor of Cassie doing a photoshoot to Paper Magazine I could only think of Lydia so I decided to draw Lydia as her. They look realy alike.

This might sound immature but when I was little I used to watch a lot o LPS and even own some (I used to own 50 to 60 LPS but ater gave them away as I grew up), and recently rewatched the whole LPS Popular series and still liked it.I was suppose to make Savannah and Brooklyn as human in their prom outfits(I also ran out of inspiration on this one after finding out theres a massive cliffhanger and the series were left unfinished 3 years ago and to this day theres not much information about it continuing ever again so.)
