I can’t see a possible reality where they are dating. Puting just one label on their relationship, no matter how accurate the label might be, feels like I’m erasing years of experiences between them. Saying they are one definitive thing is removing the contradicting nature of both of their beings, it’s removing the choice they both have. They aren’t a couple, they aren’t a pair, they aren’t a duo, they aren’t enemies or lovers. They may act in ways we perceive as platonic or romantic, and to them maybe they are those things, but those are just the surface layer of thread that covers a knotted twine ball. Soulmates? Attached at the hip? Stuck? trapped? Dependent? Married? Maybe their own definitions contradict each other, maybe they’re complements. They are something not even I know, and to be honest it’s not information that’s entitled to anyone but themselves, if they even choose to share it with one another.

yeah, i agree. i honestly think before tommy was introduced again in 7x03 and the kiss in 7x04 that in my brain, bvddie was the most logical endgame for buck until it wasn’t.

i came into the show shipping bvddie much like a lot of new fans to the show but instead of hopping onto the tommy anti express hate train i found myself falling in love with buck and tommy together. at first i was still on board with bvddie still being endgame but as each episode aired after 7x04 i became faced with the reality of the situation (at least the way i see it) that bvddie might always be fanon and that’s ok because fandom keeps ships alive whether they’re canon or not. some of the biggest ships EVER are non-canon (i mean, cmon spirk? one of the OG MM ships?) so it didn’t really deter me from enjoying bvddie to this day. what HAS deterred me from interacting with bvddie content is toxic bvddies. i don’t like using the lil nicknames, idc if other ppl do, whatever, but i prefer just referring to certain kinds as just toxic plain and simple.

toxic shippers have made it difficult for anyone who multiships to interact with bvddie content. while there are incredibly nice & welcoming bvddie endgamers out there, it doesn’t overshadow the hateful ones in my online experience at least. i’ve blocked so many ppl over this ship discourse, which ive never had to do with any other fandom before the extent i have with 911. everyday i still find new ppl to block, you go under almost any comment section on the 911 insta and its filled with nasty comments abt tommy and only caring abt whether bvddie will be canon in s8. people projecting their hatred of tommy/lou onto the cast/crew of the show when it’s be said and proven time and time again that it’s quite the opposite. now im certain there’s bad apples in the bucktommy side as well, but from what ive seen online so far it is not nearly to the caliber of the bvddie side. ive blocked maybe a handful of bucktommy’s for being hateful towards eddie or being toxic overall, but ive probably blocked over 100+ toxic bvddies. i can only imagine it’d be worse if i was active on 911 twt which i’m not (thank god) but i have ventured into the tags before on there and let me tell you, it’s fucking horrifying how gross ppl are over there. twt is a cesspool for fandom anyways tho, the fucking asshole of fandom, it’s a septic tank really.

now im my own opinion which could be completely untrue of course, but just basing my thoughts on what i’ve seen online and interviews and such, tim seems to be really happy about bucktommy and idk how ppl believe otherwise. tim has expressed he loves LFJ and wanted him back on the show. tim showed up on set for the kiss scene. tim posting an entire youtube vibe abt bucktommy being soulmates that touches on the invisible string theory and explains how they accidentally found buck’s perfect match. tim sharing the deleted tommy scene is also huge but im waiting to see if he releases more (because i remember seen somewhere that he said there’d be more?) and if he does then great but it’s also still pretty telling to me after the whole karaoke fiasco.

oliver has said nothing but praises towards buck’s queer storyline. he quite literally said if you dont like it then watch something else. despite ppl saying he’s never interacted with bucktommy content online, that’s a lie because he has liked fanart of them.

aisha, kenneth & tracie have all expressed how they like tommy/lou and love working with him.

jlh said she loved bvddie before but is excited to see where buck and tommy go and then on an insta live said she doesn’t think bvddie is happening and was bombarded by toxic fans to the point of ending the live early.

ppl think it’s all some ruse to make it seem like bvddie is never happening so when it does happen it’s a “surprise” ……..

the nasty hate comments are doing nothing but exposing these types of ppl for who they are and that honestly to them, 911 is just the bvddie show to them. the people who run these social media accs for 911 are looking at these comments and cringing, they aren’t running to tim and abc being like “we must give these crazies what they want!” they’re mostly likely being ignored or honestly, as you said, being looked at and just reinforcing their decision to most likely make tommy buck’s endgame so as long as his schedule is open for filming.

what gets me the most about the hate these types of shippers spew online is how they aren’t embarrassed because they are so sooo convinced they will be right one day and therefore their insane, nasty behavior online will be justified. oliver stark literally left twt because of fans like this, people act like he was joking around, that he was shooting the shit probably because “he’s british and british people just have that kind of humor” which yes to a certain extent but let me just add these posts to set an example to why if oliver were still on twt he absolutely would not be happy with the way toxic bvddies are acting right now.

oliver (and ryan&other cast too) being positive abt bvddie never meant it was going to be canon of become canon one day. they do not decide these things, whether they believe it should or not. a lot of bvddie shippers come from previous fandoms where queerbaiting was there, where they were made fun of by actors of their ships, by the creators of the show! so i understand the frustration but oliver is not queerbaiting and buck is not a queerbait character when he quite literally is now confirmed bisexual and in a relationship with a man.

he’s just not the “correct” queer to these people. despite headcanons (hell even i hc eddie as queer!!) eddie so far, in canon, is not queer. by the end s7 he is still shown to not be over shannon and ruins his relationship with his son over this. ryan has stated in interviews he sees eddie as heterosexual, possibly pushing this because of the influx of ship discourse, and he’s glad to see a vulnerable and deep friendship that buck and eddie can have as a straight man and a queer man and how important he thinks it is.

every single thing that points to bvddie never going canon is like they’re being shot point blank in the chest. i get it, your ship not becoming canon sucks, but again, that is what fandom is for! shipping has never been about how canon smth is, there is 20k fics out there for bvddie and they aren’t canon. they can turn that into 40k, 100k, 1M if they really wanted to! instead they use their time and energy posting death threats, wishing death upon a gay character, bullying ppl online for enjoying a ship.

meanwhile from what ive seen bucktommys are rolling with goofy ass spy tommy theories created by antis and making jokes for our own fun.

so yes, i agree overall. they truly don’t deserve what they think they do. we didn’t whine and scream for a deleted scene. they did. we got ours without even expecting it and are having fun.

maybe if they behaved better i wouldn’t be so petty abt it. it’s a shame because of how much potential it has, unfortunately it is just not going that way atm. and even if it does one day, it is not because they paraded online with hate, it is because that’s the story tim and the others wanted to write and abc approved it.

I think what Original Luo Binghe did to Shen Jiu parallels what happened between Wei Wuxian and Wen Chao. Let me yap.

Look this might sound stupid to you but I just rewatched MDZS and I JUST saw some similarities with PIDW. After coming out of the Burial Mounds, WWX literally tortured WC before his death. The Burial Mounds is a place of literal torture and WWX went through HELL in it without his golden core. Because of what? Because of WC, he's the one who threw him into there.

It's an eye for an eye. WWX must've gotten his organs rearranged, bones crushed by constant attacks from walking corpses, eaten corpse fingers to survive, and many other horrors MXTX didn't mention. So WC SHOULD feel all of that, as payment for his sins to WWX and all other people he inflicted.

With LBG and SJ, the Endless Abyss is almost no different than Burial Mounds except it's festered with demonic instead of resentful energy (I think they're not really the same type?) and various types of beasts iirc. So even with his golden core, it's still harder for LBH because he barely knew how to avoid or fight them, where their weak spots are, etc. And instead of 3 months, it's 5 YEARS so it's enough time for his hatred for SJ to fester like a fairytale witch's soup. In the very beginning, he must've also gone through hell. Maybe the beasts ripped his limbs apart, stabbed his eyes, pulled his tongue out and only because of his Heavenly Demon blood that he recovered himself back (probably). It's very different from running away from resentful corpses because you KNOW just how to fight them off, even though it's just impossible for their number.

So, seeing LBH making SJ into a human stick doesn't surprise me too much. It's the case of an eye for an eye. No, it's still wrong, I'm not justifying it. I'm just making my analysis. THAT'S why it reminds me so much of WC's death.

Even both of the MCs have a demonic object in their hands, the Stygian Tiger Seal and Xin Mo. Both are untamable and capable of driving their holders insane. What differs our MC however—is that WWX has things to lose, and that's why he's often shown to be holding himself back from a killing spree. Hell, he's even the actual most righteous character in the novel.

While LBH doesn't have anything left to lose. He doesn't have a family, friends, all these wives and servants probably don't mean much on him. Also, his demon blood affects his mindset, giving his brain more "predatory instincts" as I'm gonna call it. Added with the fact that he spent more time in the Endless Abyss and how his mind had been corrupted by Xin Mo, LBH would pull a "No More Mr. Nice Guy, Heh >:)". That makes him not so kind as to give SJ the mercy of death. He probably wanted to keep SJ alive for 5 years or maybe forever til his brain finally decides "yep, that's it, go die or whatever idc anymore". Yeah, until BingggeMei extra happened and we could probably assume SJ's death is never gonna happen, but that's for another story nevermind.

However, it does mean that the latter won't hold himself back. The point where he crosses the line is when he burns down the CQMS, kills the Peak Lords, and even went so far as to merge the demonic and mortal realms. That's what differs him from WWX, so much. It's literally canonically said that he's not the nice kind of protag.

SO in conclusion—when I see people talking about how "SJ didn't deserve all that", I'm between agreeing and disagreeing. What LBG did to SJ is terribly inhumane, but that's to be expected from a demon emperor like him. Hey I'm a SJ stan, it doesn't mean my views are completely biased. Especially considering what LBG possibly went through in the Endless Abyss for five years as a mere disciple without a sword like Xuan Su.

I think this is why PIDW readers rooted for LBG, because the story was from his POV. Tragic MC, thrown into the pits of hell by his cruel master. Our perspective is widened through reading SV and we can see the tragic POV of SJ and so we start to root for him too. No, it doesn't mean that either of these 2 are completely right in their choices, the both of them are very flawed and they're trapped in this cycle of abuse, very harmful to the surroundings. We can't fully fault or justify them. Yes, they need therapists, perchance one hidden behind a very powerful barrier in case any of them decides to attack the poor therapist.

But this realization—the parallels between LBG&SJ and WWX&WC—just kind of amazes me. Okay, ted talk ends, thank you for surviving through, if you don't have any nice words to say please scroll away :(

Also free to use as pfps or whatever as long as you ask first. and unless I say otherwise (there are some things I don't want my name attached to yknow) ALWAYS MAKE SURE TO CREDIT ME!!! ("genericdragon on Tumblr" will suffice). If it's art that I made specifically for you you're free to use it anywhere without asking just remember to credit me.

Please don't edit my art in any way, shape, or form, aside from maybe cutting out the background or whatever. (including drawing on top of it, changing colors, etc)

You're allowed to trace/heavily reference my art for practice (don't know why you'd want to tho) but DO NOT POST IT ANYWHERE OR USE IT FOR ANYTHING ELSE PLEASE.

hi i am tired as shit of my bpd (borderline personality disorder) and how it makes me feel so i'm projecting bpd onto idv characters that i think would have it. these are my hcs, if you don't agree, that's fine, just don't shit on them since they bring me comfort. also keep in mind this isn't how all people with bpd act. these are my experiences projected onto these characters!

𓊆survivors𓊇 luca balsa (prisoner): the reason i think luca would have bpd because he'd have experiences of feeling abandoned and betrayed. he felt abandoned and betrayed by his own father, and even by herman, and the only one he truly felt supported by was his mother, who died of anger after herman sold off her things after putting them in great debt. this would lead luca to being prone to fearing abandonment, but this would also cause severe trust issues as well as only seeing people in black and white. one second, alva was good, the other, luca was certain that man was up to no good. i also think luca's recklessness adds to my headcanon of him having bpd because he acted on the emotion he feels in the moment, leading him to hurt alva and the fire soon being caused. he seems confident and well-mannered, but on the inside, i believe he's severely anxious and worrying constantly about everything and everyone around him.

mike morton (acrobat): i believe mike would definitely have bpd. he lost majority of his family in the hullabaloo fire, which lead him desperate to make the culprit of the fire pay for what they'd done. i think this would impact him throughout his entire life (as expected), but i think this would cause mike to develop bpd. he'd be terrified of losing the people he loves, and would do anything to keep them safe. he'd act on impulse and act recklessly, and he'd probably end up upsetting the people around him, but they'd understand he has good intentions. mike's emotions would be incredibly strong and he'd get overwhelmed very easily by those emotions. i also think that he sees people in black and white, and he'd be prone to developing a favorite person - which to someone with bpd, that favorite person is like a lifeline.

chloe nair (perfumer): chloe is definitely one of the characters i believe is most likely to have bpd canon-wise. chloe saw her sister vera (the real vera), as a wonderful person until chloe began to grow jealous. she assumed that vera hated her and just pitied her, and chloe became desperate to be noticed and be cared for, to feel special to someone. she struggled to find her own sense of self, and struggled to figure out who she was. her jealousy and anger became so intense and reckless she'd actually gone and killed her sister, thinking that vera didn't care for her or love her anymore. that was until she found vera's journal, and realized she had only been seeing her sister in black and white. she had seen vera for so long as someone who hated her, but the moment she found out that was far from the case, chloe began to feel guilty and broken hearted. then, she took up her twin's identity, and eventually deluded herself into believing she actually WAS her twin sister. chloe had rapid changes in her sense of self, and her intense anger had caused her to do something she regretted, and she hurt the only person who loved and cared for her.

margaretha zelle (female dancer): margie is another character i think is very likely for bpd canon-wise. she's had two horrible relationships (idc what jokermarg fans say he canonly abused her and wears her abusive husband's face, as his own that's horrible). this would lead margaretha to feel distrust in people, and is afraid of getting attached to people. once she's attached to someone, though? she wouldn't be able to let them go. if they end up treating her right, they would quickly become her favorite person. she'd end up somewhat gatekeeping that person from others - not intentional, but she'd be terrified of abandonment and terrified of losing the one person who has been so good to her. she fears being separated from her favorite person, and gets jealous quite easily when her favorite person shares their attention with others. she's quick to self degrade, and blames herself for everything. the littlest things set her off and sometimes, she is quick to anger. she fears rejection and will often take her favorite person's actions as rejection.

norton campbell (prospector): i don't know how many people would think norton has bpd, but he's someone i think would have bpd (obviously, he's on this list lol). the fandom treats norton poorly by expressing that he's only greedy and only wants money - and while that is part of his lore, it isn't the entirety of his lore. in fact, norton is shown to feel rather guilty for blowing up the mine with the miners inside of it, and it seems to haunt him. his personality also seems to switch quite often, as though expressing he isn't sure of his sense of self. of course, that could also be norton being bipolar, but i also think that norton sees people in black and white. he'd probably fear abandonment and rejection, and yes, would probably believe money would solve all those problems, but he'd try to avoid attachment as much as possible. he's quick to anger and acts rather recklessly when he's angry. he'd deal with episodes that are just paranoia run that could last for days (he'd shun himself away from the world in his room).

naib subedar (mercenary): now, not all bpd is caused by trauma, but i do think naib's trauma would cause him to develop bpd. he'd find himself horrified upon losing people he cares about, which would lead to abandonment (especially watching his comrades die in his arms). he'd become extremely protective which would lead to somewhat extreme measures to keep his loved ones safe, but he always means well. he gets jealous easily but unlike others, he tries to keep it to himself and ends up bottling it up out of worry he'll just drive the person he loves most away. unlike most people on this list, i think naib would handle his bpd a little better than the others, but he'd still struggle with it. he's very understanding to others who have it, and tries to help them out with handling it, but he still struggles with it himself. if he bottles it up too much or if his favorite person isn't understanding, he'll end up lashing out angrily though other survivors i hc with bpd but don't have full reasons yet: freddy riley (lawyer), kevin alonso/ayuso (cowboy), and tracy reznik (mechanic), edgar valden, jose baden (first officer) and demi bourbon (barmaid)

joseph desaulniers (photographer): i think jojo is one of the more obvious bpd hcs. he lost his twin brother claude, who was clearly his favorite person, and that tore him apart. just canon alone, you can guess he'd have bpd. his fear of abandonment would be so strong that he'd act recklessly to ensure that he wouldn't be separated or abandoned by his favorite person, and would do anything to preserve their life and keep them safe. i also think his bpd and depression would lead to excessive drinking, and even if that would stop once he'd get a new favorite person, he'd end up drinking every time he fears they are going to abandon him or every time he becomes angry and jealous of the time they give with others. he has a hard time figuring out if someone is actually doing something wrong or if its just the way his brain is making him think.

michiko (geisha): unlike many others on this list, she handles her bpd very well, and instead of anger episodes when her bpd acts up, she has depressive episodes. she'll lock herself in her room for a long time, and will often cry and sob as a way to get out all her frustration and her feelings. she's one of the few on this list who i headcanon to be better at self reassurance than most. it doesn't always work, and she'll still need support from others around her, but she'll manage to self reassure herself quite often. michiko still fears abandonment though, and often has trouble understanding why people stay around her and stay close to her. she misses miles dearly, and miles is still her favorite person. she tries not to let the bpd get the best of her, and tries to stay strong, knowing miles loved her, flaws and all.

leo beck (hell ember): leo was betrayed by freddy and martha, and was left in severe debt and no way to properly provide for emma and take care of her. that alone is a recipe for disaster, and i think its likely leo would develop bpd (as well as trust issues). he'd have a hard time seeing himself as anything good, and would often struggle to figure out who he is. some little things would be he'd have a hard time telling if he genuinely likes things emma likes because he likes it too, or if he only enjoys it because she does. that being said, emma is leo's favorite person, but like michiko, leo handles his bpd very well. he knows emma loves him and knows that she'd never betray him and never hurt him. he trusts her, and reminds himself of that whenever his mind tries to tell him otherwise. he's very protective of emma, and the thought of being separated from her or losing her would send him into a pretty strong panic attack.

xie bi'an and fan wujiu (wu chang): i think both bi'an and wujiu have bpd, or are likely to have it. for awhile, the two had lost one another, and the other took his own life to join his companion in death. the two would deeply be afraid of separation and would deeply be afraid of losing the other one. such a fear would often consume them, but luckily, they have one another in the manor (shh i know canonly they can't both be present at the same time during matches but my manor hc allows them to be present together outside of matches). they're very sensitive to the other one getting hurt (god forbid you flare gun one of them in duos, the other will take his place and obliterate you). they're very protective of one another and will go to intense measures to protect each other.

other hunters i hc with bpd but don't have full reasons yet: robbie white (axe boy), ann (disciple), alva lorenz (hermit), and percy (undead)

Putting her anger on the mop she had gripped in her fist she aggressively wiped the stable floors clean, but her thoughts were somewhere else. Y/N L/N was the reason why she was stuck cleaning the stables during a Friday night when she could’ve spent the day in the market with Oluo buying cute clothes or enjoying a new café or getting drunk or just about anything. 

Petra loved her friend but no matter which way Petra tried to twist the situation, Y/N was the sole reason to blame. Y/N was the one who suggested getting drunk in her room that night, Y/N was the one who suggested the game, Y/N was the one who proposed the punishment, and Y/N was the one who called her a pussy for backing out, so of course Petra had to do it. Petra had to run through the hallway, from the stairway and back to the room naked. 

It didn’t help that Y/N’s room was the farthest room from the stairwell. Petra didn’t have a problem getting naked around Y/N and their friends- they’ve seen each other’s bodies enough with the communal showers and the occasional first aid outside the walls. Petra isn’t ashamed of her own body either, she may look petite but she was hardened muscle from all the training she endured to become the one of the best. Though Y/N had her own private room as one of the Survey Corps’ Section Commander, her floor was also near the other superior’s private spaces. 

Once Petra made it out, she dashed to the stairs as fast as she could before turning back and running like there was a titan behind her to the privacy and safety of Y/N’s room. Until Hange, Levi and Mike came out of Erwin’s room from their own private party only to stare at Petra like she was a dog with three heads. 

Petra could’ve died right there. In fact, she would have preferred it if she did. Hange laughed (“Oh, it’s one of those nights, eh?), Levi looked away with disgust evident in his face and walked to another laughing Y/N, who witnessed the entire incident, instead. Mike just stood there with his brain probably short circuiting and nose occasionally twitching. To make matters worse, Erwin came outside to see what Hange was laughing about.

I’m gonna kill her, Petra thought, mopping away the last of the dirt from the stables. I don’t care how but I’m going to make it look like an accident.

Petra looked up from her hard work and wiped her forehead. She smelled like horse shit and probably looked like one too. A few yards away from her clean stable stood Y/N and Eren together under the sun with Mikasa not so far running towards them.

Petra watched as Mikasa hastily put herself between Y/N and Eren with a glare on her face. Was it really a glare or was it just Mikasa’s usual stoic face? Petra didn’t care- a plan was slowly starting to form in her head.

Petra didn’t bother rushing to the cafeteria to get first in line like she usually would. Instead she ate some heavy snacks before and took her time. Thinking back, Y/N was the only one out of her superiors to sit on another table other than the space designated for them. She usually sat with Eren, with Levi occasionally joining them. 

Once she strolled inside, the place was packed with soldiers along with hundreds of conversations going on at the same time. Perfect. Just as she planned. Just as she thought, Y/N and Eren were chatting away alone on one table with Mikasa several tables away shooting them looks every now and then.

Petra smiled. Victory tastes so sweet. She slowed down her steps and savored her way to victory as she walked over to Mikasa. “Oi, Mikasa.” she said obnoxiously loud, gathering the attention of several people.

Mikasa turned her head from Eren and Y/N’s table, and stared at her with her cold gray eyes. “Yes, Petra?”

Petra giggled, unable to keep her mood down. “Y’know, Y/N told me a secret.” She said, voice getting louder with every word.

Behind her, Petra heard Y/N speak. “Done from the stables, darling?”

Faint snickers from around the hall erupted. No doubt the story has already gone around. Petra felt a nerve in her head pop. That almost got her. Almost. 

Ignoring the rest of the people, Mikasa kept her eyes on her. “What did she say?”

She crouched down and put a hand on her cheek like she was about to whisper. “She told me that she loves Eren, very, very much.”

Silence. 

Utter silence. 

From the corner of her eye she sees that Sasha had a spoon halfway through her mouth filled with seconds of today’s dinner, while Jean and Connie’s eyes were darting back and forth to her and Y/N, who had gone up from her seat and was walking towards her.

Petra stood back and let herself smile a truly evil smile. That’s what you get, Y/N. You bitch. To be honest, Y/N was probably going to beat her up. Petra didn’t care. She could try if Mikasa won’t get to her first.

Mikasa blinked. “Well, I sure hope so. Eren and I love her just as much.”

Wait- “What?” 

That wasn’t the reaction she was expecting.

“Oi, oi, Mikasa. You’re going to make your mother cry. I’ve never heard you speak like that before.” Y/N clasped a hand on Petra’s shoulder. Y/N had this smirk as if asking oh is this what you planned?

Huh, wait- “Mother? You mean-”

At the same time, Mikasa looked at Y/N. “Okasan, I have told you I loved you many times.”

“What do you mean okasan- are you-?” Petra turned her head to Y/N. 

Y/N leaned shifted her weight on one leg and crossed her arms. She was smiling, probably enjoying Petra’s confusion. “Yes. I am.”

“But-” Petra stuttered. “Eren too?”

“Yes.” Y/N laughed. Petra should’ve been furious, but at this point she was too focused on solving this familial situation she accidentally uncovered. Plus, everyone was listening in. They were curious too.

Petra shoved her hands in her hair. “They’re siblings?”

“Well, I thought we’ve established that before.” Y/N replied. 

“But I thought- Mikasa was charging at you because you were with Eren just a while ago!” 

Y/N deflated. “Oh, that. I was scolding the brat. He was reckless during the last expedition again. You’d remember, you were the one who saved him.” Fuck. Yes, Petra remembered very well. She almost lost her right hand because of that boy. “Mikasa just came over to protect her brother. I might’ve gone overboard too…”

“Then why isn’t Mikasa sitting with you?”

“Oh, I’ve been encouraging her to interact with people other than family. She barely has friends, y’know.”

“Don’t they have different last names?” Petra asked. She was losing her sanity. 

“What, Jeager? L/N was my dad’s. Jeager my mother’s name, I had him when I was young. And, well, technically, Mikasa isn’t mine by blood.” Y/N sat down beside the girl and slung her arm around Mikasa. “She came with my marriage. She’s still my daughter though.” Petra saw Mikasa hide a smile under her scarf.

“Married?” Petra asked. “You’re married?”

“Yup,” Y/N replied, popping her words. “When are you and Oluo gonna tie the knot, by the way-”

Petra couldn't even be bothered to blush at the question. She saw Oluo choke on his food from their usual table though. “Is he in the military?” 

“Yes. We met years before he was in the military though.”

“Is he in the Survey Corps?”

Y/N grinned. “Yes.”

“Is he a superior officer?”

Y/N’s smile grew wider. “Yes.”

Petra felt dread creep down her spine. “Is it Commander Smith?” If Petra really did just try to call out the commander’s wife in front of everyone, she’s dead meat. She’s probably gonna clean the stables on Fridays forever. 

To her relief Y/N said, “Pssh, Mikasa isn’t blonde y’know.”

Petra was losing her patience. “Then who the fuck is it-”

“They literally have the same last name Petra.”

Silence.

Only this time, Petra wasn’t smiling. Her brain was probably overheated from all the information Y/N gave her.

“Oi, Petra” said Levi who was coming inside the cafeteria. “What the hell is going on?”

“Captain!” She squeaked, not expecting his voice. Perfect timing too. 

“Don’t tease her anymore, Levi. It’s my fault, I was just telling her about our familial situation.” Y/N said. 

“Tch,” Levi lightly slapped Y/N at the back of her head. “What happened to keeping it a secret?” 

“Oh, well, they were bound to know anyway. Your son over there can’t keep his mouth shut, I’m surprised he lasted this long.” Y/N nodded to Eren back to her table while the latter hid his face on the table, occasionally banging his fist on the wood. “Though I didn’t expect them to find out this way though...and the entire Survey Corps for that matter.”

“You’ve caused us a nuisance.” Levi deadpanned at Y/N- at his wife? Petra was still trying to comprehend everything.

“Let’s go home.” Levi announced, heading out of the cafeteria. “I can’t stand to be stared at any longer. It’s making me feel like a pig with fucking wings.”

At the words of their Captain- Father?- Mikasa and Eren stood up and picked up their empty food trays. 

Oh, that's right. Petra knew that Y/N and Levi had a separate house somewhere near their HQ; she just didn’t even consider the possibility that they were living together. Fuck, she has seen them leaving too, but she just assumed that they were walking each other because they lived in the same neighborhood or something. 

Petra even spotted Mikasa and Y/N together in the market shopping for vegetables, but she thought it was only a kind gesture. Y/N can be like that sometimes. She even spotted Eren and Levi inside a cleaning shop when she was buying a new mop once. And Mikasa and Levi’s surnames? Petra didn’t even suspect anything because it was common knowledge in the Corps that two of their strongest soldiers had the same last name- had none of them suspected anything?

Looking around, Petra spotted similar confused faces like her own. Ah, so no one did. 

She felt her legs give up on her and plopped on the seat Mikasa previously sat on. She watched as Levi, Y/N, and their children walked out the cafeteria with a blank stare. What the fuck just happened? 

btww,,,the vibe of reader and petra here are like really close friends that tease each other a lot. i can understand why people think that petra seems like the “villain” here but i swear its just that kind of friendship 😭 im sorry if it didnt deliver properly but ill try better next time !!

religion headcanonbucky was raised catholic, though possibly not strict given that his father had to deal with four children* while being working class; he probably didn’t have the energy to wrangle multiple young kids into being strict catholics. his faith didn’t start to wane until he was drafted**, but came back strong after azzano. i imagine he did a lot of praying and then steve turned up and he goes ‘either it’s coincidence or god exists and i don’t wanna maybe anger him so i’ll believe’.

it is absolutely gone by the time he becomes the winter soldier. again, there was likely a lot of praying and none of it was answered so that was likely the nail in the coffin of his faith. now he just doesn’t mention it, hopes there isn’t a god because otherwise he considers himself thoroughly screwed, and hopes no one realises that catholicism has, possibly always, been the most widely spread religion in brooklyn*** or asks any questions about it.

there’s no ill-feeling towards religion or people who believe, though. he has very little opinion on religion at all. it’s none of his business, as far as he’s concerned, and he has enough to worry about without getting into things that definitely are not his business.

Kit was casual in everything he did. He didn't find himself wondering, going back and forth between strict indecisions, if he should do/ask/act/say something. He always just did.

An art form that Sunny is still trying to learn.

And ever since she found herself dating Kit Pouliot, she found the restrictions to be too far and tall in order. And one of that, she found herself realising, is the feeling of needy.

When they were still best friends, it was easy. Every time she wanted to touch him- touch his hair, get hugged, and even cuddle next to him as they watch a film - she'd only move a little bit and Kit would know what to do, almost by physical instinct. A familiar pattern of movement.

But now that they were dating, everything felt hyper-realistic. Zoomed. 100% view to 210%. Sunny fixated on every movement she did, every thought that popped multiplied- and now she just. Couldn't.

But Sunny wanted to be touched. Sunny wanted to be cuddled, kissed, and adored.

It's been a few days since Sunny's neediness has overtaken her. She has become restless, fumbling and side-eyeing her boyfriend. But she kept mum, and Kit was starting to notice. She can feel it. There are lingering stares and question marks in his eyes, but he only prods once, because that's Kit; he can wait for a couple of eras, a patience that knows no bounds. And Sunny made a mistake of shaking her head, immediately reassuring him.

And so Kit didn't bring it up anymore, knowing anything Sunny explicitly needs, she'd say.

She marks today as D-Day.

Kit arrives in his usual affair- it's a pretty spring day and he takes his time walking across the expanse of forest before he reaches the Finch Manor. The leaves are bright and lush, and the sway of them reminds him of that one night he accidentally found a Russian channel where a ballet performance was happening. They swayed in unison, in rustles that peaked the morning sun in between.

Terrence Finch opens the door at his arrival. He's in his usual vest brocade and deadpan face. Charles was the perennially smiley one, but he still raises half a smile in response to Kit's greeting.

"She's in the lake."

That makes Kit blink. Sunny doesn't like voyaging out of the house as much as possible, and whenever she is at home, she has her own set of perimeters of where she likes to roam. The like, being 300 meters south of the house, isn't some place she likes to visit.

"Why?"

Terrence makes a hmm sound. An observation. ". . . so you didn't know. I can't tell you, then. If it's her surprise, she'll kill me." He pats his shoulder softly, once, and passes in between hallways. "Good luck."

"Is that good luck it's something good, or is that good luck a guillotine is waiting for me?" he shouts after the man, but he's already gone, leaving only a trail of chuckles.

Kit pulls out his beanie and starts fixing his hair, but trudges on forward. Always ready to face whatever Sunny has in surprise for him.

Sunny waits in nervous energy for her boyfriend, lying down on the procured- freshly laundered - blanket, her wild hair sprayed around her, and her socked feet out on the grass, tickling her through the fabric.

"So it's a picnic," he says aloud, a good meter away but Sunny will always recognise his voice.

Her heart starts thudding loudly again, but she doesn't raise herself. Instead, she raises her arm and waves it in both acknowledgement and come hither-thou.

She isn't sure if she can hear him walking through the grass or that's just the sound of the forest, but soon, his warmth envelops close. Close but still too far. . . until Kit brings his hand, his fingers, through her hair and she melts. She tilts her head up, chest flooding in warmth, and sees him upside down, with a beautiful smile.

"I love it," he says, bright as always, her Kit.

And it breaks her chest open. It fills it with this sudden rush of love that it makes her gasp. With a silent resolution, Sunny raises herself and stares at him through a glassy-eyed indecision.

Kit doesn't say anything, only tilts his head on one side, waiting. His mouth twitches and Sunny suddenly realises- he knows, the bastard - and with a groan, she crawls to where he is, raising her dress and settling on his lap.

He's warm- Kit is always so warm, a human beaker of warmth - and he's laughing, she can feel the reverberations in her own chest as if it came from her. But she only tightens her hold, her arms looped around his neck, her legs around his hips, and her neck burrowed deep on the crook of his neck, on the skin there, breathing warmth against it and he shifts, giggling, that sweet spot where he's ticklish.

Kit is always ticklish, to almost any part of his body. But even as he complains amidst through laughter, Sunny only tightens her hold until Kit wraps his arms around her.

"Since when have you known?" she asks, her lips moving across his skin. He twitches, but she doesn't let off.

"It tickles," he whines, but Sunny only replies by tightening her hold further. He sighs, but he also tightens his hug, snuggling his head against hers. "I wanted you tell me what you want."

"That's so mean," she mumbles.

"I didn't mean it to be, I'm sorry. I just wanted you to tell me what you wanted."

"Mhmh. . . Okay." Without removing herself from being latched to him, she mumbles, "I'm needy."

Kit chuckles, but he obliges. Of course he does. He unravels her hold on him, just a little bit, to push her so he can see her face, and it makes Kit laugh because she's pouting to the point that her eyes are a little glassy.

Carefully cradling her face, Sunny's eyes closed as Kit kisses the side of her face, her cheeks, her eyes, the crook of her neck, her ears. She squirms at each contact, until Kit whispers for her to open her eyes and there's a gentle smile on his face as he tilts her chin up to kiss her lips, weaving his hands on her waist, rubbing her sides as he brought her close.

Sunny leans in, head in the clouds, no thoughts channeling, just the feel of Kit's lips on hers. He always kisses to sweetly, this time is no different because for the little sharpness, the little tease, where he nibbles on her lower lip, humming when she leans forward to deepen it too.

It's both soft and messy, and when they separate, Kit is grinning languidly why Sunny blushes at the lazy look on his face. She attacks him then, going back to wrapping her arms around his neck and disappearing on the crook of his neck.

Kit laughs, settling back to hugging her like this. The sun is warm, the food is getting cold, but that's okay. The day couldn't be better.

"Are you done being needy or?" he mumbles against her hair.

Sunny bites his neck in retaliation.
