Mmmm Jinx AU where after being taken in by Silco, thinking she's been abandoned by Vi leads to her not latching on to Silco as the most important thing in her life who she must be loyal to above all else, but full on swinging into the direct opposite direction and becoming like Sevika.
[This AU is in part inspired by the idea of Jinx becoming more idealogically like Sevika, but also from OG Jinx's personality.
OG Jinx is a character who's primary drive is her own personal enjoyment and happiness. Which comes from building weapons, causing explosions of all kinds, and pranking Piltoveans.
Jinx doesn't go out looking to kill people, she goes out to to have a good time, and if people happen to die while she's having her good time, then that doesn't really concern her.
Like there's this one quote about OG Jinx that basically boils down to: "If Jinx found a box of firecrackers that had a person sitting on top of it. She'd light the fireworks without even thinking about the person on the box because she was so focused on her excitement about fireworks, that she didn't even notice the person."
OG Jinx has prioritized her own personal enjoyment over everything else, that people potentially dying as a result of whatever she's doing is so completely irrelevant, to the point of her being effectively unable to perceive the potential collateral damage.
It's not even that OG Jinx wants to kill people, or enjoys killing people, it's just that people dying while she's doing what she loves isn't even a linked phenomenon in her brain. Because people (who die) are going to die eventually with or without her actions, so why shouldn't she enjoy herself even if people happen to die while she's doing so.
Jinx's loyalty to Zaun is prioritized in the same way in this AU. People are going to die with or without the revolution happening, so they might as well have the revolution.]
Loyal to the dream of Zaun over any individual leader.
I mean, she still comes to love Silco as a father figure, and he still comes to love her as a daughter, but also much like with Sevika, they're both fully aware that if Jinx ever comes to the conclusion he isn't the person who's the best bet for securing Zaunite independence, she'll abandon his gang and possibly go elsewhere.
Or even more so, if she comes to the conclusion that he's worse for Zaun than he is good, possibly kill him herself.
Which I feel like wouldn't stop him from loving her more than anything else.
I think he'd just consider it another aspect of her that makes her the ideal Zaunite. The ability to put The Cause even before her personal feelings and attachments, something he's still not able to do.
Basically this Jinx thinks of her loyalty to Zaun and her personal love for individuals in her life as entirely disconnected to each other, with Loyalty to Zaun being her default.
Which adds a number of complications to her relationships. Specifically her being totally unafraid to fight to the death against her loved ones without an ounce of remorse, and then thinking of it as a complete non-issue in the aftermath if they both survive.
Like she fully still considers Ekko her friend by the time Vi gets out of jail in this AU. Full on "We try to kill each other on alternating Thursdays, but that's no reason to stop being friends" feelings.
Which also results in her not feeling an ounce of shame in helping him and the Firelights out when it comes to basically anything they do that isn't in direct opposition to SIlco.
I mean, the Firelights are also working towards bettering Zaun just like she (honestly believes) is, they just have different opinions and methods of how to do so from Silco's gang. While also serving different parts of the community.
[And yes, Ekko and the rest of the Firelights have complicated feelings about Jinx in this AU. None of them know where she stands with them.
She'll help them without expectations one day, and then turn around and kill some of them in a confrontation without an ounce of hesitation the next.
Some of them hate her, some have mixed feelings. Others just think she's completely mentally unstable, and shouldn't be trusted considering she seemingly flips between being ally and enemy with no warning.
Ekko's feelings are especially complicated, as you can imagine.]
None of this is to say Jinx doesn't feel just as deeply about the people she loves, as she does in canon. It's just that trauma has convinced her that unequivocal loyalty to an individual vs an idea is a very easy way to be hurt.
Detached logical decision making as a way to avoid being harmed by making emotional mistakes. Which is what she feels is why she failed so much as Powder.
The belief, that she was so obsessed with gaining approval from individuals in her life, she never had a real personal goal to strive towards that she could measure progress and growth to. Resulting in her always feeling like a failure, even when she was doing good, or at least improving.
She's still deeply hurt by Vi choosing Caitlyn over her (as far as she could tell), the Firelights taking Vi, and her accidental killing of Silco while spiraling in the wake of her Shimmer surgery. She's also extremely frustrated by her freak out on the airship where she shoots Eve (pink haired Firelight).
Because she feels like those are instances where she gave into the impulse to emotional over reaction to specific individuals that caused all of Powder's problems.
She was so focused on Vi, and her desire for Vi's approval, that she couldn't fight the Firelights as effectively as she normally would.
She was so focused on Vi seemingly leaving her to go off with Caitlyn that she couldn't focus on fighting Ekko on the Bridge, resulting in her getting far more injured than she normally would have, and nearly not succeeding in getting the crystal back.
She was so triggered by thinking she was seeing Vi on the airship, that she completely lost it and started shooting indiscriminately and caused the job to go south and injured people on her own side.
She was so caught up in her spiral and hallucinations at the tea party, that she shot Silco based entirely on instinctual protective instinct when hearing the hammer being drawn on a gun on her vulnerable loved one, rather than anything intentional on her part. Which she'd previously had always sworn would be the case should it ever come to her killing Silco.
That if Jinx ever killed another of her loved ones, it would be because she knew with certainty it would result in the betterment of Zaun, not because she made a mistake because she was being an over emotional idiot.
I think the only major change from this Jinx's actions in the Season 1 part of the story would be how she went about stealing the Hexgem, and why she did so.
In canon she does so because she failed a job, and felt like she needed to do something big to prove to Silco that she was capable, in order to gain validation from him that she was. Even though he never tells her he doesn't think she's capable, just that she needs to take some time off because she had an episode.
He said "take a mental health day, even if you don't think you need it," and she responded, "so you think I'm a fuck up?!"
In this story. it's more that Jinx is so focused on what she could potentially do with Hextech to help the revolution and Zaun as a whole. That she was already planning to steal some research notes and crystals to get experimenting with it on her own terms, before the job gone south, and the new advancements in Hextech being whispered about for progress day.
Getting her hands on the newest form of Hextech is just her getting lucky.
This also means she doesn't steal it the same way. She doesn't do anything to kill any Enforcers, but she does cause a distraction with what seems to be a box of fire works going off prematurely on "accident".
With her swooping in to steal the notes and hexgem while everyone's busy with trying to contain the panic the fireworks accident is causing to really pay attention to what she's doing.
Which the Enforcers do react to, but everyone but Caitlyn disregards as an accident. As once it's clear that nothing other than a few decorations got ruined and people getting startled came of the fireworks incident.
They're far more concerned with the stealing of hextech that's happened, and Viktor's testimony of a young woman with long blue hair sneaking out of their lab.
With the fireworks incident being dismissed as an accident that's completely unrelated to the burglary of the Hextech lab. Beyond the burglar potentially using it as a convenient opening.
Caitlyn's not convinced, and it's already happened so close to the airship shootout incident, so she still goes down and ends up freeing Vi from Stillwater with some of Jinx's drawings as evidence, from the airship shootout.
Which does mean that her trajectory in the Season 2 part of the story would be a bit different.
She still goes into a depression after Silco's death. Mostly because she feels that she's broken her most important self imposed rule: not killing because of personal feelings about someone, but for The Cause.
She killed Silco not because she felt killing him would make things better, but because she was scared and spiraling and in that vulnerable emotional state, she defaulted to the same way of thinking that had gotten her loved ones killed the last time.
She protected Vi who she loved, and couldn't defend herself, based on gut instinct. And it resulted in the death of another loved one, and the complete destabilization of Zaun.
Now because Jinx is more focused on Zaun than on her personal relation ships, I don't know if she fires on the Council immediately after Silco's death the way she does in canon. I don't really think she would.
I could see her doing it because she's still in the peak of the Shimmer high, which is heightening all her emotions. Driving her to seek revenge on Piltover in her grief. Even though if she could think more clearly, she wouldn't do it, and would instead wait to gather an actual following and doing an organized and planned strike to be the most effective.
But I could also see SIlco's death snapping her back to reality as she sees it. That she simply takes the gem, her guns, and Silco's body and Disappears, vanishing into the night with neither Vi or Caitlyn knowing of the weapon she's built or what she's going to do next.
Which could have interesting repercussions on the story. Considering Piltover's council would to have agreed to Zaunite independence on the conditions of handing over Jinx.
Except the man they made that deal with is now dead, no one (except Sevika) knows where Jinx is to hand her over, and the Undercity is and of itself divided on handing one of their own over to Piltover (to potentially be executed, because of how dangerous Hextech can be, and a lot of the counsel fully thinking Zaunites are inherently dangerous, not to mention thanks to Caitlyn, Jinx is a known weapons builder, so what else do they think she'll do with access to Hextech other than build weapons) in order to gain independence.
I'm sure the chem barons would have no issue handing JInx over, because then they'd be free to divide up territory and completely take over with no one like Silco holding their leash, or PIltover dictating what is and isn't legal on their side of the river in the first place.
Oh the Firelights would be around to oppose them, but they'd never really were able to gain any ground beyond causing problems for Shimmer production.
But I'm not sure how more ordinary people would react.
I mean, in this AU it's pretty well known that Jinx holds the idea of Zaun above anything else, and was willing to help people who weren't affiliated with any specific group, as long as doing so wouldn't harm the independence movement of Zaun.
She's not really shy about expressing that stance, it's just up to everyone else to believe it or not.
Jinx, who would use her high position in Silco's circle to help ordinary Zaunites. Be it from one of the gangs overstepping and trying to start rackets Silco had forbidden, from unjust arrest from Enforcers, or even pointing them in the direction of the Firelights if she thought that was for the best.
Declaring that so long as the help she gave random people didn't harm or slow the march towards independence, helping her fellow Zaunite was helping Zaun, was part of the fight toward an independent Zaun.
She's the Loose Canon, shooting for Zaun and no one else. Loyal to no kingpen or Chembaron, but to The People of Zaun as a whole.
She has a bit of a following even without firing on Piltover or turning the Grey back on them. She's a bit of a living folk hero to some people, especially those she personally helped out of a bad situation, for no reason other than "I could, and doing so doesn't hurt anyone else. So why wouldn't I?"
Not to mention I definitely feel like Jinx would be way more intentionally politically educated in this AU than she is in canon.
JInx as she is in Arcane, never really gave a shit about Zaun's independence beyond what it meant to Silco (and later Isha), and she very obviously never bothered to learn anything about politics. At least nothing Silco didn't force her to learn.
But with Jinx's primary drive being Zaun, I feel like she'd definitely be way more politically minded, and while I do think she would consider turning herself over to Piltover to secure Zaun's independence (in a direct parallel of Vi's willingness to hand herself over to get the Enforcers to leave the Undercity alone to keep her family safe).
I don't think Jinx would actually go through with handing herself over.
Not with the Undercity being actively torn apart by gang disputes in the wake of Silco's death, no way of ensuring Zaun's prosperity after handing herself over, and no way of securing actual tangible betterment of conditions in Zaun even with Zaunite independence.
I mean from what we're told, Piltover's offer of independence was essentially cutting the Undercity loose.
Stopping their dumping of industrial waste into Zaun's water supply, ceasing utilizing of Zaun's air duct and water system for the climate control of Piltover's Hexgate system, release of Zaunites from Stillwater (or at least transfer to Zaunite custody)), and the Kiraman family handing over control of the vents that suppress The Grey over to someone from the Undercity weren't anywhere in that deal from what we're told.
[I don't think everyone on the counsel would have agreed to it if it was, they're all complete capitalists, no matter if some of them value sapient life more than others (Mel, Cassandra) on a conceptual level.
I believe the ones who outright hate Zaunites (which some of them clearly did) would have staunchly opposed if it meant having to alter how they actually approached how they ran their businesses, vs just cutting Zaun loose.
Hell I think those councelors would have gotten even more lax with their business regulations. I mean, Zaun wouldn't have been part of Piltover, and their citizens not their legal responsibility any more.
So why should anyone from Piltover worry about them dying? The trenchers wanted independence and if they can't survive without Piltover's support, how's that anyone's problem but the trenchers?]
It was, if you hand over Jinx, we'll legally make you not our problem any more.
Which I don't think a politically educated Jinx would go for. It would just leave Zaun to the messy power struggle that appeared because of the power vacum caused by Silco's death. None of the Undercity's actual problems would be solved, besides Enforcers no longer being able to harass them.
So the Zaun Piltover conflict would stay more political and less outright invasion than it is in canon as a result.
#arcane#arcane AU#Jinx but give her Sevika's revolutionary priorities and Greater Good morality#also I just kind of wanted to explore a bunch of different ideas that could potentially result from that#like Jinx already having a following in season 1#or Jinx being seen as a kind of hero by the Undercity#or Jinx not firing on Piltover but still killing Silco [because I feel like a lot of AUs have those two things directly linked]#or Jinx not killing enforcers but still stealing the hexgem#or addressing the fact that the offered independence of Zaun isn't really all that fleshed out from what we're shown on screen#and wouldn't have resulted in anything good happening for Zaun if it went through#long post#did I lower the stakes for some of the characters? Sure did#Piltover doesn't have anything other the stealing of a hexgem and the bridge fight to be pissy over#and Caitlyn is there to testify that the bridge happened in part because Marcus was a dirty cop who tried to kill her#and the two witnesses she was bringing to testify about the undercity drug ring she'd dug up and the identity of the hexgem thief#so Caitlyn has no personal vendentta#Ambessa has less leverage to work with when it comes to reasons to let her faction inject herself into Piltover's problems#Ekko and the rest of the Firelights don't all completely hate Jinx and consider her a lost cause#but also you have to keep in mind that Jinx just Has Fishbones the whole time this is going down#he's never been fired in this AU and Jinx ponders everyday if he ever Should be fired but he's around if she ever needs him#also no Viktor cult because he never dies in the explosion and fuses with the Hexcore#Viktor does get Jayce to destroy the Hexcore#and starts becoming the Machine Herald more similar to how he is in the OG lore with automale style prostetics and synthetic organs#so that's one less faction to worry about but also means no way to temporarily retrieve Vander's mind inside Warwick using magic#and no apocalypse threat forcing Zaun and Piltover to work together because that was dumb and a complete cop out#Ambessa's Noxian forces never get as involved because Piltover never goes into martial law because the Counsel is alive and well#so they're not a major threat either#Jinx does still find and connect with Isha and heals her inner child via bonding with her#which does have her stop holding the people she loves at less of a distance and opens her up to actual reconciliation with Vi and Ekko#rather than her just completely disconnecting herself from how her actions affect her personal relationships

Your thoughts on S/O reader meeting jinx’s family (vander, vi, mylo and claggor if they’re alive, etc) and how that would go?
helloo ty for the req, i just included vi and vander in this. hope that’s ok! though, i feel like i didn’t really tap into jinx’s toxic-ness in this, just her pretending to hate vi and acting like a teenager. sorry u guys.
toxic!jinx masterlist
vi had accidentally let slip to vander that jinx had met someone over their ‘family dinner’ (jinx really hated when vander called it that, it’s just dinner).
since then, vander had been pestering jinx for weeks trying to get her to bring you round to one of these stupid dinners. she shut him down every time saying you were busy. you definitely weren’t, vi could guess that much. she’s been here before, with her ex.
finally, jinx agrees to bring you over for dinner.
jinx tells vander what you like to eat, in a strange amount of detail, and he cooks it. he can’t say he’s not trying to make a good impression on you.
she decides it’s best for her to go pick you up from your apartment, and once you reach the front door, she grabs your wrist as your reach for the doorknob. “my family is weird, okay. just like, ignore whatever they say. about me.”
her grip on your wrist is tight, and her gaze steady. you can tell jinx is nervous.
“it’s okay, baby. i’m sure they’re not weird,” you reassure her.
she furrows her brows slightly. she’s having second thoughts on this, maybe you should just go home. jinx is pulled from her thoughts when the front door swings open and she sees her sister standing on the mat in front of the door.
“why are you just standing here? looks real weird, y’know,” the pink haired girl says as she leans on the frame.
“ugh, shut up, vi.” jinx says in a lowered tone, one that already sounds annoyed. she pushes past her sister and drags you inside, still gripping your wrist.
as you take off your shoes and hang up your coat, you hear a gruff voice from above you.
“i’m vi. nice to, uh.. meet you.”
you smile up at the unfamiliar face and introduce yourself in return. then you hear jinx scoffing and saying something along the lines of “get off me!” as you look over to see who must be her dad taking his hands off her shoulders while chuckling.
“hey. i’m vander, p- jinx’s dad, it’s nice to finally meet you.” he smiles a warm smile, one which you reciprocate. you wonder what he was about to say before he said jinx’s name, but you think it’s best to leave it when you look over to jinx and see her giving vander a mean look.
-
dinner was finally ready and you go to sit at the table. vi usually sits next to jinx, but jinx runs to the table to kick vi out of the way so you could sit in her place. vi sighs and sits opposite her while vander laughs to himself, setting dishes over the table.
the four of you eat in silence for a bit, before vi pipes up with a smirk on her face.
“you’re literally the only thing jinx talks about, y’know.”
jinx exclaims. “huh?!! not true! bitch.” she kicks vi as hard as she can.
vi kicks her back. “you’re the bitch, stealing money out of my wallet to buy god knows what.”
“i did not!” jinx stands up from her seat. you swear her eyes flash a hot pink when she gets worked up.
“girls.” vander intervenes, “sorry, [name].”
you tell him it’s okay and giggle into your food.
jinx turns to you and tells you that vi is totally lying and you shouldn’t believe anything she says, that she’s a pathological liar.
“uh huh,” you nod, side eyeing vi with a grin as jinx flops back down into her chair. you know it’s hers because it has her name carved into it, along with some pink and blue paint splotches. it’s no secret how possessive she is.
you all continue eating while chatting and getting to know each other, vi and jinx occasionally at each other’s necks as you and vander give each other apologetic looks.
a few hours pass, and you’re getting ready to leave what you deem a successful meet-the-family while pulling your shoes on. jinx is doing the same.
“aww sis, you’re not staying over?” vi says sarcastically, dodging a kick from jinx.
“nope. i’d rather be with [name] than you two fuckers.”
“language, missy,” vander chimes in from the kitchen as he finishes up the last of the cleaning before making his way into the hall to see you off.
“just ‘cus you’re in loooove with her,” vi sings, shoving jinx’s shoulder. she’s stepped over the line now, and jinx practically pounces on her, pulling her hair and smacking her.
vander mutters to himself and pulls jinx off her sister by the back of her jacket, much to her dismay. (“get the fuck off me!”)
she scoffs and pulls her other boot on, while you giggle to vi who was brushing herself off.
“it was nice to meet you.”
“you too, vander. thank you for dinner,” you smile.
jinx reaches for your hand and the doorknob simultaneously. “yeah, yeah. whatever.” she pulls you out of the house and very nearly slams the door behind her.
she sighs hard and slumps onto your shoulder as the two of you start to walk home.
“i did not like that.”
“yeah, i could tell,” you laugh.

୭ 𝗔 𝗣𝗟𝗔𝗖𝗘 𝗧𝗛𝗔𝗧 𝗗𝗢𝗘𝗦𝗡'𝗧 𝗙𝗘𝗘𝗟 𝗟𝗜𝗞𝗘 𝗛𝗢𝗠𝗘 ˚. ᵎᵎ
ekko 𝒙 fem!reader
Tumblr media
୨୧ English is not my first language, so I regret in advance if something reads weird or is misspelled
୨୧ Ok, so, I realized this would be TOO long, and I decided I'll turn it into a little series, this will all be mostly fluff, I hope you like it ;)
₊˚ ✧ ‿︵‿୨୧‿︵‿ ✧ ₊˚
Ekko stood just outside the bustling doors of The Last Drop, his fingers brushing against the worn metal frame. He should go inside. But his feet felt rooted to the ground, as if stepping through the threshold would make this dream—this impossibility—permanent. His head ached, pounding from the sensory overload of it all.
Zaun was alive.
Not just scraping by, not the grimy, cutthroat existence he knew from his world. This Zaun thrived. The sunlight poured into the streets, and it wasn’t muted by the familiar haze of toxins. The air was clean, crisp even, and the people walking by wore smiles so wide it made his chest ache.
No one carried weapons. Children darted through the alleyways, laughing and chasing each other without a care. There was no shimmer-induced violence, no crime, no constant fear. It was… wrong.
He took a deep breath and stepped inside, the familiar ring of the bar’s bell announcing his arrival. The sound brought with it a rush of memories—the Last Drop wasn’t a place for laughter in his Zaun. But here?
Laughter echoed off the walls, bright and unrestrained. His stomach churned.
Near the bar, Silco leaned against the counter, with a glass in hand. He was laughing—Silco was laughing, that man had ruined lives, poisoned Zaun with Shimmer, and killed countless innocents. And now, he stood here, calm and smiling as if his sins had never existed. The sight nearly sent Ekko spinning. Vander was there beside him, his booming voice and broad grin like something out of a half-forgotten dream. They clinked their glasses together, joined by Benzo, whose hearty chuckles filled the room.
Benzo.
Ekko’s breath hitched. He’d never thought he’d see his old mentor again, not in this life. But there he was, as real and alive as the air filling his lungs.
The sound of scraping chairs brought his attention to the two figures approaching him.
“Yo, Ekko!”
Mylo’s voice. Ekko’s stomach twisted again. Mylo and Claggor—older now, but unmistakable—waved at him, wide grins plastered on their faces. They strolled over like this was an ordinary day.
Except it wasn’t.
Not for him.
“Where you been, little man?” Mylo asked, clapping a hand on Ekko’s shoulder like they hadn’t been dead in his world. Claggor chuckled, adding, “Thought we’d have to drag you in here.”
Ekko’s throat tightened. It was surreal talking to ghosts, and his eyes darted between them, searching for something—anything—to ground him. They were so casual, so alive, as if they’d never been stolen by the explosion. The undead boys said something about going to get their drinks and that they would be back in a moment, but their words were white noise against the pounding of his heart. It was as if ghosts had stepped out of the past, solid and warm.
Ekko struggled to keep his breathing steady, his gaze darting between the faces he had mourned and buried in another life. He had thought he’d moved on. He was wrong.
“Are you all right, my boy?” Heimerdinger’s soft voice broke through the fog.
The old yordle was there too, standing on a stool at the far corner of the bar, his ears perked up.
“No,” Ekko admitted, rubbing the back of his neck. “Not really.”
Heimerdinger nodded knowingly, as if he had expected the answer.
“Adjusting to a reality that isn’t your own can be disorienting, to say the least. But don’t worry. We’ll sort it out soon enough.”
The cheer in his voice was almost infuriating. Ekko wanted to demand answers, to ask what exactly had happened and why he was here, but before he could say anything, the bell above the door jingled.
The air shifted.
Ekko turned instinctively, his senses on high alert.
What walked through that door wasn’t danger or threat, but it hit him just as hard. A little boy, no older than six, darted inside with a burst of energy, his laughter echoing like a bell.
His heart stopped.
He looked just like—
“Dad!”
The high-pitched voice shattered his thoughts, and a small body barreled into him. Ekko stumbled back, his arms instinctively wrapping around the boy who had launched himself into his chest.
The little boy looked up at him, a bright, joyful grin lighting up his face.
Ekko froze.
The kid had his eyes—wide and curious—, his hair, even the same nose, the same cheeky smile. It was like looking into a mirror of a younger version of himself.
“Dad?” he repeated, his voice barely audible.
The boy tilted his head, confusion flickering across his face. It was a gesture so familiar it sent a chill down Ekko’s spine—you always did that when you didn’t understand something he was saying.
That was Wyeth. His baby. Except he wasn’t a baby anymore.
“Wyeth…” Ekko whispered, his voice cracking.
The boy beamed.
“That’s me!”
It felt like the ground had been ripped out from under him.
“Look at you, big guy,” Mylo teased, coming up behind him with his drink on hand. “You’re gonna be taller than your old man in no time.”
Wyeth giggled, the sound light and carefree. Ekko stared at the three of them, his throat dry.
This was wrong. It was all wrong.
Why didn’t he remember any of this? Why didn’t he see Wyeth grow? Why did it feel like he had been robbed of something so precious that his chest ached with the loss?
“Little Wyeth causing trouble again, huh?”
Claggor laughed.
“Like father, like son.”
This wasn’t his Zaun. And this wasn’t the Wyeth he’d cradled in his arms just days—or was it hours?—ago in his world.
“Papa?” Wyeth’s small hand tugged at Ekko’s collar, pulling him out of his thoughts. “Why are you looking at me like that?”
Ekko blinked, swallowing hard.
“Just… thinking.”
The door opened again, and Ekko’s breath caught again.
You stepped in, radiant and full of life, your eyes scanning the room before landing on Ekko. Time seemed to slow as you approached, the crowd parting instinctively for you. You looked different. Less burdened, happier, but still undeniably you.
Your gaze moved between Ekko and the boy, and you set your hands on your hips.
“My love,” you began, a stern edge to your voice. “What did I say about helping Wyeth with his inventions?”
Ekko blinked, caught off guard. He struggled for an answer, but Benzo stepped in with a sheepish grin.
“Don’t look at him, it was me,” Benzo said, raising his hands in mock surrender. “Kid’s got a knack.”
Your brow furrowed, a mix of exasperation and affection in your expression.
“Your innocent grandson broke a window with that innocent rocket, Benzo.”
Mylo snorted with laughter, only to catch your pointed glare and immediately fall silent. Ekko couldn’t help the corner of his lips twitching upward. You were always like this, commanding a room with little more than a glance. Even here, in this strange world, you hadn’t changed. But as he stared at you, a sinking feeling tugged at his chest. This wasn’t the you he knew—not exactly.
You turned your attention back to Ekko.
“He’s grounded,” you said firmly, then softened. “Where’s Violet?”
For a moment, he thought you were talking about Vi—his Vi, the fierce protector who had been his friend and hero.
He faltered.
“Vi…?”
Before he could stumble over an answer, Claggor spoke up from behind him.
“She’s with Powder.”
Powder? That name didn’t fit the person he knew now. Powder was long gone, buried beneath the chaos of Jinx. And yet, here, it seemed to mean something else entirely.
You raised an eyebrow, catching the subtle shift in Ekko’s demeanor.
“You okay?”
Ekko forced a smile, though his heart felt heavy.
“Yeah,” he said. “Just… tired.”
You reached out, brushing your hand against his arm in a gesture so familiar it sent a pang of longing through him.
“We’ll talk later,” you said softly, your gaze lingering on him before you took Wyeth’s hand and led the boy toward the back of the bar.
You're going to have a serious talk with that little one about his recklessness.
Ekko watched you go, his mind racing. This world was a dream come to life, a version of reality where everything he’d lost had been restored.
But it wasn’t his world. He has to go.

Dating Loser!Vi Headcannons
A lot of this was thought about with the homie @ficsonpost-its, kind of a way for us to cope with the ending of Arcane 🙃
And I never cared enough to follow the plot so this is a college!au where everyone is alive and (maybe) happy
Warnings: Vi herself is kind of a warning, masc4masc couple if it matters, maybe suggestive at some parts, some parts with Jayce are inspired by “the blind leading the blind” stuff one tictok
Tumblr media
She met you through Ekko. You were his (adoptive, biological wtfever shut up) sister and safe to say, she was borderline obsessed with you. But, she didn’t know how to approach you at first. Her very obvious crush on you was noticed by both Ekko and Jinx so they took it upon themselves to help her out.
To get some extra money, she works at her dad’s bar, The Last Drop. She’s a bouncer and whenever she’s around, people tend to behave themselves. It was a normal night until Vi saw you chatting up a storm to Vander and she immediately started to panic. But it all seemed to go on well, seeing how the night ended with your number in her pocket.
Vi can count all of the friends she has on one hand, one of them being her sister. So safe to say, when she admitted that she somehow has a girlfriend, none of them believed her. Jayce even called her a liar until she pulled up pictures.
Vi was out one day when she bought you both matching boxers. She cherishes them like it’s her most prized possession, next to you and the brass knuckles Vander gave her.
“Vi, what are these?”
”Batman boxers!”
You couldn’t help but match her wide smile. “Why Batman?”
”Cause he’s a fucking goat.”
Vi will full on body slam or suplex you, carefully, on the nearest couch or bed whenever you seem to be minding your business. The first few times caught you by surprise but now, it’s almost a daily occurrence that you look forward to.
Vi’s fashion taste is something you admire; from the ripped jeans to the cropped muscle shirts that she cut herself, you have nothing but good things to say about her clothes. However, in the comfort of her own home, she never wears a shirt. It’s even rare to find her in her sports bra while she’s lounging around.
“It’s nine in the morning, why are your tits out?”
”Are you complaining?”
”Of course not. But Jayce is coming over so he might.”
You can hear her groaning the entire time but she’ll do it.
Speaking of Jayce, it’s never a good idea to leave them alone for too long or else something would happen. Separately, they’re geniuses but together…those brain cells are nonexistent.
“Vi, it’s been fourteen hours, where the hell were you?”
”Oh, I was getting that tattoo I told you about.”
”For fourteen hours?”
”Yeah, Jayce was with me and he thought it was a good idea to get it done in one sitting. He even got something!”
Needless to say, both you, Mel and Viktor always expect something to go wrong with those two. (Have we lost the art of a good poly-ship? Jayce has two hand so just kiss and shut up)
Do not EVER call her Violet, she’ll think you are upset with her and will probably tweak out and cry. The only acceptable names to call her are Vi, obviously, or ‘Pretty Girl.’ You were only a few months into your relationship when you called her that, she spent like 5 minutes in straight silence not really sure how to react; something you did notice was that her face was as red as her hair.
Vi will also lay her complete body weight on top of you when you lay down; it's one of her favorite ways of cuddling. (For my gamer!readers) Especially if you’re playing a game, you will wrap your arms around her with the controller laying on her back. The both of you will stay there for hours.
“Motherfucker.”
”Die again, cupcake?” She muttered into your chest.
“Radahn is ass.”
A little something extra for my black!readers that love Vi 🫶🏾
Say you can’t find your bonnet. You looked all up and down the apartment, pretty much flipping it over but it was still nowhere to be found. And seeing how it was your favorite, you were a little upset that it was gone. Until Vi came out of the bathroom, said bonnet on her head, giving you a small smile, completely unaware of what she was doing.

Some TimeBomb Analysis I felt was very heartbreakingly necessary in this trying time:
Ekko comes to realise by being in this world that Jinx was always Powder, in the same way that Vi comes to reconcile the two 'versions' of her, Ekko sees all the ways Jinx's savvy-ness and cunning and brains were always Powder. He gave her up for dead - like his dream of a beautiful Zaun - a long time ago, and painted the mural to show it. But being here with Powder makes him realise he can still have this is he's willing to take her as she is now, flaws and all.
So we all know Ekko is really talking about Jinx in the line "I used to dream the undercity could be like this", but I also think the opposite is true for his last line: "Can we pretend like it's the first time?" is about the kiss, but it's also about this version of reality. It's about Benzo being alive and Powder being Powder. It's about stepping back from his real world for a second to pretend that this is his real world. He was always going to go back, but just like his use of the Z-drive means that he could theoretically re-do and undo all of his mistakes ad infinitum, this is an acknowledgement that this 'redo' is how he wished it has been, and that it isn't real for him at the same time. Because it isn't the final time he will pull the plunger and reset. But he wishes that it was.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
3. Jinx has a very difficult relationship with abandonment, obviously. But these lines encapsulate her journey towards accepting that no, actually, the people who love her will always refuse to give her up no matter how much she believes doing so would save them (including Silco and Isha and even Vander since the enforcers come after the kids for the stones she steals.) Never giving up on her empowers both Ekko and Vi in the final hours of the show. Their relationships with Jinx and the strength of that connection in the fullness and acceptance of all of its flaws and history means that they can do and achieve anything. Not giving up on her means not giving up even when everything falls apart around them. It's the crux of Ekko's time travel ability - he will always remember what really happened in all of those loops, he still carries those scars and physical damage, but he keeps trying anyways and that is what saves the world.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
4. Jinx is the 'someone worth building for.' Yes, this line is about TimeBomb but it's also very strictly about Jinx. It's about Jinx needing to know that her life also have worth for herself. Her inventions have by and large been built for the sake of others - her toy weapons to impress the others/keep up with them, the canon for Silco. She rebuilds Sevika's arm because she wants to feel useful for someone again. But she doesn't value her own input into the world for her own sake. Ekko isn't asking her to fix the world here, or to make good on her mistakes. There is no 'fixing' or 'undoing' or even 'rewriting' the way Vi wants her too, the way the Zaunites do with her legacy. There is only something new. And her life is worthy purely for whatever creations she adds to the world, regardless of whether they can undo the past. There's something so achy about that coming from the Boy Saviour. He isn't really here to save Jinx from herself - he just wants her to know she can do that saving on her own.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
5. Jinx always knew what she needed to do to break the cycle. But she grew up with too many people who never wanted to let go of the past. In the end, we see her airship fly not towards Piltover (in some desperate rewrite of her failed story in Zaun) but away from it. She gets out, she pursues something new, the image loops but moves towards a new trajectory with a different (better) ending, just like Ekko shows her is possible with the Z-drive.
Tumblr media
Two sides of the same coin. She leaves Zaun to see something new, and he returns to Zaun to see it in all of its fullness. I think they'll be alright.

Tumblr media
Warnings: nsfw content (MDNI 🔞)
I havnt spell checked this yet.
____________________________________________
A: Aftercare (What they’re like after sex)
He is DEFINITELY a aftercare guy, making sure your taken care, he’s a busy man so the aftercare sometimes is not as long as he would want it to be sometimes but he douse what he can, even if it’s just words of affirmation or a-lot of kisses and hugs after a quicky (if tho they don’t happen often cuz he really douse not care for them) but when he douse have time he WILL cuddle you all night and kiss you, and tell you how amazing it was, and remind you how gorgeous you are. Definitely keep the praise up even after everything is done.
B: Body Part (Their favorite body part of theirs and also their partner’s)
On himself I think we can all agree his arms, or his hair, I feel he’s very proud of his hair being nice and full for his age ya know.
Now ok his partner, no one can tell me he is not a tittie guy, size is not really the thing but he definitely would not mind barring his head in some nice big tits (who wouldn’t) or maybe even a thigh kinda guy, but I also feel like his like non sexual favorite part would be your face, or more specifically your smile seeing you laugh or smile is one of the best sights on earth in his opinion
C: Cum (Anything to do with cum)
Creampies. All that needs to be said. I feel like in the beginning of y’all’s relationship he would use a condom but once he’s comfort with you, your gonna need some birth control or be ready for kiddo number 5, but if birth control is not a option he would understand and use protection or pull out. Also hear me out I feel like he Definitely gets off when you give him head and shallow it ya know.
D: Dirty Secret
Definitely thought about either 1. Fucking you as hard as humanly possible In an ally way, (especially when you tease him when walking home) or 2. Bending you over the bar and pounding into you like there’s no tomorrow, with or without people but these are just fantasy’s he probably won’t act on since he don’t wanna get caught in a ally by someone he knows or worse the kids and the bar one would just get him in trouble but then again tease him enough and the first one might just seem just reasonable enough
E: Experience (How experienced are they? Do they know what they’re doing?)
I feel like he definitely knows what he’s doing, he’s been alive for 45 years so he’s definitely picked up a thing or two from his very eventful youth, he definitely knows how to eat you out to the point your nails are engraving scratch marks on the wooden beside table, now he douse not really know much about the well kinkyer side of thing but knows the basics and some other small things and is good at it definitely
F: Favorite Position
Now he’s not a complete vanilla person but this man loves some good old missionary lets me honest, he likes being able to see your face and have access to your clit to. But I also feel like he enjoys Cowgirl to so we can see all the expressions you make. I feel like he wouldn’t mind doggystyle either tbh, on your side to when y’all wake up or something to.
G: Goofy (Are they more serious in the moment, or are they humorous, etc.)
If something funny happens like you falling off the bed he’s gonna laugh but also ask if your ok why laughing, he’s a very humorous dude ya know
H: Hair (How well-groomed are they, does the carpet match the drapes, etc.)
Man douse his best but he douse not get much time to shave with 4 kids running around causing mayhem everywhere they go. I feel like to be honest he really don’t care to shave unless it gets bad. Now if it bothered you or something he definitely do his best to shave as often as he had time to
I: Intimate (How are they during the moment, romantic aspect…)
He’s a really intimate guy, loves telling you how gorgeous you are but also don’t get me wrong the second you where to ask him “faster or harder” he would go FERAL cuz I feel like he definitely holds back because he douse not wanna hurt you or anything but he douse enjoy a nice and easy intimate time with you. I feel like he secretly has no patience, but he has grown to have some because of the kids and stuff.
J: Jack Off (Masturbation headcanon)
He most definitely used to, but I feel like now he douse it like non to very little, mainly cuz of the kids but when you came into his life he felt no need to. Cuz he’d rather have you then his own hand, the only way I could see this man doing it is if he’s had a really long day and your asleep when he comes to bed and he needs to blow off some steam or something.
K: Kink (One or more of their kinks)
I think everyone has agreed this man has a breeding kink which as you see now explains why I said what I did before hand about the creampies. Bro has a bondage kink, (both ways), definitely douse not mind putting his hand around your neck but he would really wanna squeeze or anything cuz he douse not wanna hurt you in any way. Anyway No one can argue with these, Size kink and overstimulation (both ways) and marking for sure but would help you hide the marks if you wanted to
L: Location (Favorite places to do the do)
His bedroom. Other places are to Risky for his liking, he douse not want the kids walking in on anything, now it’s not his favorite but if it called for it and he couldn’t make it to the bedroom and yall having sexual tension up to the sky and the bar is closed and the kids are asleep, The bar but the doors are being locked and clothes won’t come completely off.
M: Motivation (What turns them on, gets them going)
Let’s be honest here man has a high sex drive but don’t ever admit it, cuz really all it takes is you giving him a decent view or sneaky kisses, or even just whispering something in his ear, but he has the some insane willpower and will wait till y’all are alone, I also feel like being confidant would get him going like you helping him behind the bar and when no one’s paying attention whisper how badly you want him and then walk away or act like you’ve said nothing.
A good way tho to get railed into the mattress is small teasing all through the day running your hands in his hair that or a very sneak brush against his crotch, like moving by him and pressing your ass into him or something, but making it seem innocent but he’s knows it was on purpose cuz he’s smart he’ll figure it out,
N = No (something they wouldn’t do, turn offs)
Anything like really kinky or rough like slapping punching and he’s definitely against knife play won’t go near it, I mean he don’t mind being rough with you when railing you, but anything thst would hurt you just no
O = Oral (preference in giving or receiving, skill, etc.)
He really enjoys eating you out let’s be honest tho, he loves sees your head go back and your back arch off the bed (or bar) when your about to finish, he loves when your thighs squeeze around his face to be honest
But with that I wanna say he definitely loves when you give him head let’s be honest, as I said before this ties in, but like he definitely likes it, being able to grab your hair and mouth fuck you is chefs kiss for him
P = Pace (are they fast and rough? slow and sensual? etc.)
I feel like at first he would be gental but the longer y’all are doing it the faster that man is getting intell he reaches absolute feral, definitely would have to bite something or have your mouth covered near the end
Q: Quickie (Their opinions on quickies rather than proper sex, how often, etc.)
Not a fan, he’s a very romantic and he really can’t be romantic or anything with quickies, he would much rather take his time with you, but if you have been teasing him all day and he knows he’s not gonna get the time in a good minute to fuck you into the mattress, he’ll settle for a quickie in the storage room with the door locked
R: Risk (Are they game to experiment, do they take risks, etc.)
Not really a risky person because again he douse not want the kids walking in on anything. Now before the kids he was a very risky and an experimental person. But has calmed down ALOT now that the kids are in his life and you. I feel like he’s still a little experimental, he’s willing to try anything with in reason that you wanna try
S: Stamina (How many rounds can they go for, how long do they last, etc.)
He has ALOT of stamina, u can’t tell me don’t, bro was a one man army. He can definitely go 3-4 rounds or 5 if the rounds are not long, but he definitely prefers to draw them out for awhile, he will make you finish more then he douse, like bro will finish idk 3 or 4 times in the end and you’ll finish like 5 times now this is if y’all have the time, this is another reason he’s not a fan of quickies, now In his younger years I feel like he definitely hade quickies and maybe even some one night stands.
T: Toys (Do they own toys? Do they use them? On a partner or themselves?)
I feel like he’s not a big fan of them cuz he feels if a toy can do it so can he, but if there was a toy you wanted to use or try he wouldn’t be against it as long as it’s not to extreme, I feel like he definitely wouldn’t mind vibrators tho, using a small one on your clit why fucking you, he could approve of because really the better you feel the better he feels (he’s such a service top),
now toys for him I feel like he’s not a big fan of cuz for him your enough and he has no interest or need for them.
U: Unfair (How much they like to tease)
I feel like he definitely will tease you, whisper in your ear or give you a sneaky kiss the on the neck or slap on the ass. He definitely douse not mind you teasing him back just as long as it’s not obvious and you do it sneakily, definitely if there’s no one around he will reach put his hands up your shirt or down your pants but only for a second and then go back to whatever he was doing.
V: Volume (How loud they are, what sounds they make)
I feel like he’s not a extremely vocal during it but that’s just because of this kids I feel like if your alone and no one’s in the house he’d definitely make some decent noise, I feel like he mainly just likes hearing you noises you make, definitely would encourage your noises if your home alone but if there’s kids home he’d cover your mouth or give you something to bite (even if it’s himself)
W: Wild Card (Random headcanon)
He definitely would not mind being a bottom and letting you be in control sometimes as long as you know what your doing and you feel good, since he’s always been the one in charge of everything I feel like he’d enjoy a break from it and letting someone boss him around a bit would be a good break for him, definitely feel like he would blush and crumble if you called him a good boy and praised him. Plus this ties in with him liking cowgirl definitely.
X: X-Ray (Let’s see what’s going on in those pants)
Just DAM, bro is a big man so he definitely is at least packing a good 9 inch’s (or more) feel like girth is just a 10/10 to lets be honest.
Y: Yearning (How high is their sex drive?)
As I said before man has a higher sex drive then he would probably like, one look from you and he’d wanna go feral. I feel like if he had a partner that was the same way there would be a decent amount of sexy time
Z: ZZZ (… how quickly they fall asleep afterwards
He’s a dad what do ya think, he can fall asleep anywhere and everywhere, he’d make sure your ok and comfortable first tho before even thinking about falling asleep, and would cuddle you. He’d be very easy to wake up tho if you needed something tho, but i definitely feel like it depends on how tired he is before yall even did anything.
————————————————————————
A/n- JESUS this took longer then i expected I would have made them longer if i had the time and I might add on to them later on.
Hope yall liked itttttt 💕💕💕💕

The way I sobbed during this first episode when I saw Vander again!
I just had to write this afterwards - I hope you all enjoy this!
You woke with a start, your heart beating at a rapid pace as a light bead of sweat formed on your forehead.
You stayed like that for a minute, just sitting upright in the bed as you began to catch your breath; your eyes focusing on the environment around you.
You weren’t in your bedroom.
In fact, you didn’t really know where you were…it was weird, although this place seemed so different to you, it felt oddly familiar at the same time.
The last thing you could remember was being in the room with the hexcore in it.
Ekko…Heimerdinger…Jayce…where were they?
Thoughts were running around in your mind faster than you could keep up with them; you’d barely finished one thought before another one took over, as you tried to work out what the hell happened and where the hell you were.
‘Am I dead?’ you thought to yourself, running your hands over your face.
But all your thoughts were halted when you heard the door to your side creek open; followed by a voice that confirmed you must’ve been dead, or just completely losing your mind.
Vanders voice….
“Good morning, sleepyhead, or should I say afternoon,” he chuckled; a sound that made your heart ache, and yet at the same time, made you feel all warm and fuzzy.
It was a sound that you never thought you’d hear again…
A sound that had made you feel safe; regardless of what was going on, even now when you had no idea what was going on.
You heard his footsteps getting closer to you, but you couldn’t bring yourself to look at him.
Not even for a second, just in case this was just your mind playing a foul trick on you.
It wasn’t long before the sounds of his footsteps stopped and the bed that you were sitting on dipped as Vander sat in front of you.
He lifted his hand to your face, tilting your chin up with his thumb, “You okay, sweetheart?”
His touch; it felt so real, so real that it made you sure it wasn’t your mind deceiving you.
It couldn’t have been.
Vander quite often occupied your dreams, and in every single one of them, his touch had never felt as real as it did in this very moment.
“Am I dead?” The words fell from your lips before you could stop them, coming out in a small whisper.
Your eyes met Vanders gray ones, that’s when you noticed the worry that was slowly building inside them as he stared at you.
“No, darl,” he cooed, wrapping his other hand around your waist, lifting you out of the bed momentarily before placing you in his lap, “you're safe.”
Safe.
You hadn’t been safe in a long time.
And yet, here you were feeling safer then you had in years, with a man who should’ve been dead.
Your man.
The love of your life.
He was here.
He was alive.
You could hear his heart beating as you snuggled into his chest, savoring the all too familiar scent of Vander….smoke, fire and alcohol, mixing together with a small amount of cologne he loved to wear.
“You’re alive…” you breathed, tentatively reaching out to touch his cheek.
He seemed different.
But in a good way.
The dark circles that were once under his eyes were pretty much all but gone; and his eyes seemed happier than when you knew him, as though he was free from all the stress that once plagued him.
“Course I am, darl,” he assured you with a small smile; before pressing a soft kiss on the top of your head, hoping that his small action would be able to ease your mind.
It didn’t. Not really at least.
You were so confused.
You didn't understand what was happening.
You tried to blink back the tears that were forming in your eyes, tried to keep yourself together so you could figure out what was happening.
So you could think logically.
But there was nothing logical about any of this…the arcane….magic…it wasn’t something that was logical.
But now, being wrapped up in Vanders arms again, made you want to throw logic to the wind and just stay like this with him for as long as you possible could, not knowing how long this could last.
You didn’t know what was happening, or how, or why; all you knew was that Vander was here.
That was all that mattered.

How ships grow in my head will always fascinate me. Season 1 vanco literally never crossed my mind. And I wasn't in the fandom much so I didn't even see people ship them. I don't think I saw them as brothers. I just didn't read into it at all, I was too interested in Powder and Viktor in Act I.
Season 2 rolls around. We get the AU scene. I'm like... okay that's cute he's alive? And they're cool with each other Didn't really catch the vibe yet but a seed was planted. So still didn't ship.
Then I saw a close-up posted on Tiktok of Silco's hand on Vander's shoulder and started analyzing the scene a bit more. I noticed how Vander was a little upset at Ekko then totally relaxed with a smile as soon as Silco moved his hand to his skin instead of his clothes. I was like... oh, okay. Yeah, I can see that. Somethings cooking...
Then I saw the concept art from the artbook and my mind freaking EXPLODED. I was like oh... oh... ohhhh. And my Zaundads obsession was born. I'll be honest, I mainly ship them in the AU. But that's probably just because my shipping of it was born from the AU.

pairing: silco x gn!reader. cw: angsty. reader implied to be close to Silco's age. wc: 1.2k
Tumblr media
Silco bends at the waist and leans down to meet your gaze as you sit perched on the edge of the couch cushion. He runs his fingertip along your orbital bone and down to trace the contours of your jawline, places a dry palm on the side of your face and strokes your cheek with his thumb. His eyes narrow as he examines every inch of you, as if he’s confirming again and again that it’s really, truly you.
“My word,” he says after a moment, a hint of something close to reverence in his voice, “you look nearly unchanged.”
Of course, it isn’t true. There are lines around your mouth whenever you smile, deep-set creases in your forehead where there was once smooth skin. Your bones creak, your joints ache, your muscles scream at you when you sleep the wrong way on the floor of your tiny, barren home. Your body isn’t as flexible as it once was, nor as reactive—it’s how you were caught in the first place, how you ended up in the hands of Silco’s men, dropped unceremoniously onto this sofa with no warning that it would be Silco you would be faced with.
“Thanks,” you mutter, trying to focus your gaze on his good eye. “You certainly know how to flatter.”
You want to tell him he is just as unchanged, but the uncertainty of his reaction turns your stomach; he looks at you just as he once did, with the same softness hidden in his features, but with a veneer of harshness over it. Despite this, he is, in ways, the same man you knew: the same striking aquiline nose and sharp jawline, the same blink-and-you’ll-miss-it smirk, the same glint in his eye when he was trying (often unsuccessfully, but still amusingly) to flirt.
“How did you ever find me?” you finally ask, placing your hand on his as he cradles your face. His skin is cool to the touch, and you can feel him react, just slightly, at the warmth of your palm.
Silco pauses for a moment. “Sheer luck, I suppose—one often finds lost objects when they’re looking for them the least.”
A grin creeps up the corners of your mouth. He’s still just as charming as he was then, when he wants to be. Of course he would deny ever searching for you, probably still would under duress if you still had it in you to threaten those in power, but such pursuits didn’t come as easy as the once did.
“You kept yourself well-hidden.” He says it almost chidingly—you’d made it difficult on him.
“I had to, you know that.”
Silco kneels before you, places his other hand on your face and holds your head still, forcing you to meet his burning gaze. “I could have protected you.”
“Not then, you couldn’t have.” Certainly not like he could now, as the Eye of Zaun. No, you couldn’t expect to rely on others then, not him, not Vander, not anyone else, only yourself. And if that meant living a life of solitude barely worth living, then so be it—at least you were alive.
“Of course I could have—I would have.” The accusation seems to rattle him, and his grip on your face becomes more vice-like, his hands beginning to shake. “I would have done whatever it took. I would hope you would have known me well enough to know that, hm?”
“Silco, you’re hurting me,” you finally eke out, a rasped whisper, and he immediately releases his hold on you.
Silco sits back on his heels as you rub your aching jaw, his mouth opening and closing as words seemed to catch in his throat. “Tell me—why did you really stay away?”
All the reasons begin to flood you, burning in your blood, all the things you’d turned over in your mind year after year. Because I was afraid. I was afraid of losing you. I was afraid of you losing me. I had to leave before you abandoned me, before the world abandoned us both. But all that you manage is a soft, defeated, “I don’t know.”
You slide down to the floor with him, press your forehead to his. The room melts around you, the architecture and the furniture disintegrating until all that remains is you and Silco, and the remains of what was and the scaffolds of what could be.
A low creak brings the room back together again, shocks you back into consciousness. Sevika stands in the doorway, arms crossed over her broad chest, her gaze fixed on some point just above and beyond the two of you; she clears her throat and gestures towards the door.
“I-I’m afraid I have business to attend to.” Silco stands, straightens himself as he nods and waves a hand to dismiss Sevika, leaving the two of your alone again, for now. “Unavoidable, I suppose.”
“Of course.” You clear your throat and scramble back to the couch, sitting up ramrod straight, feeling suddenly and overwhelmingly raw. “It was lovely catching up, Silco. But I...I suppose I should be going as well.”
He cocks his head, glaring at you almost incredulously as he smooths his vest. “Go where?”
“Home, I suppose,” you shrug. Anywhere but here. Anywhere you won’t be captivated by memories, lured by the life you’d built in your head, pulled into the unknown by years of want finally able to be realized.
He inhales deeply and sits beside you on the sofa, his lean hip digging into yours, hand settling on your thigh. “What could possibly be there for you now that you need to leave so abruptly?”
Nothing. There is nothing for you there. Everything you wanted is here, right here, because he forced your hand and dragged you back in time with him against your will. You run your fingers over his forearm, dancing in the fabric peaks and valleys of his shirtsleeve and your heart pounds and your brain buzzes and everything in you aches for him.
“You act like time stood still when we last saw each other. Like we can just pick right back up where we left off.” Hot tears form at the corners of your lash line, and you do nothing to stop them from tumbling down your cheeks. “But time never stopped, I never stopped. I kept running. I had to.”
Silco grips your chin between his thumb and forefinger and turns your head towards him. There’s the softness you missed, the same concerned expression and furrowed brow he’d wear whenever he’d catch you in a rare moment of melancholy. “What if you don’t have to run anymore?”
“Silco, time just keeps moving, even if I don’t want it to.” A sob hitches in your throat and comes out a deep and mournful wail, years of want and need, of anguish and grief, all escaping you at once.
He slides a hand to the back of your neck, squeezing it gently, and waits, waits for your cries to become hiccups to become soft sniffles. He leans in close, so close his breath warms your skin and his lips ghost yours and you want him to kiss you so badly, more than you ever have and ever will. “Then let it halt for a moment with me...won’t you?”

What was she thinking? You looked absolutely dumbfounded as you stared at Vi. Watching her getting ready to leave and go find Vander. Everything in your gut was telling you this was a bad idea. Vander wasn't the type of guy to do something without reason, if he put himself up like this... there was no telling what kind of situation they'd find themselves in.
"Vi, wait- don't leave," it was a pathetic beg and you knew it. But you just... you couldn't let her go. Something was going to go down. You didn't want her getting caught in it. What if she didn't come back alive? What then?
Vi turned to look at you, a frown on her face as she saw the fear in your eyes. Couldn't you understand? Understand how she was feeling? She had to go. It was supposed to be her. Not Vander. It was her fault he was taken," I have to. Stay here, I'll be back. With Vander." There was an overwhelming sense of determination in her eyes. How could she be so sure? You couldn't even see a single flicker of doubt.
"Vi..." You murmured, praying to whatever Gods were listening that this wasn't the last time you'd see your girlfriend. You really, really hoped it wasn't. You'd already had your future with her planned out. She couldn't leave before it even really started.
"I'll be okay, cute face. Stay here with Pow, okay? Keep her safe for me," Vi cupped your cheek. Her words soft. If Vi was afraid, she was clearly doing a good job at hiding it. Her lips met with yours. You held it for however long you could before she pulled away from you. Giving you one last confident smirk," I'll be back, alright? So, don't worry."
"I'll always worry about you. You're such an idiot," you tried for a laugh. It came out more forced than you'd intended.
"Well yeah, but I'm your idiot, aren't I?" She winked at you and your cheeks flushed.
"I love you, you dork."
"I love you too... bigger dork," Vi nudged you with a teasing grin and you swatted her arm, earning a laugh from her. Powder walked over to the two of you, her eyes looking just as determined as Vi's.
"I wanna help," Powder declared. You shared a look with Vi. She was too young. On top of that, there were just too many risks with this one.
"You're going to stay behind with Y/N, okay Pow? We won't take long," Vi crouched down to her sister's height. Giving her head a playful rub. Messing with her hair.
Powder didn't seem to happy about that," but-"
"No buts this time. You're not ready," Vi was blunt. Probably the bluntest you'd heard her, at least towards Powder. Her sister was usually a soft spot.
You got down to one knee, cupping the kid's cheek with a smile," we'll have fun. How about... you take me to the little secret arcade you guys got? Beat me at some shooting games. Again."
Powder seemed to consider it for a moment, Vi gave you an appreciative look and started to leave," I wanna go with Vi!"
"You're staying with Y/N, that's finale." Then the three of them left. Leaving you alone with Powder.
"I'm going with Vi. You can try to stop me, but it would be better just to help me," geez. Powder was more determined than her sister. You sighed, watching the little blue haired girl get one of her monkey bombs.
"Pow... we shouldn't go-"
And she was already off at a run.
"Ah- hey- POWDER!" You bolted after her.
...we all know how the rest goes.

23/11/2024, Log of DARKNEBULA85, 1:16 PM...
SPOILERS: Special Edition, Arcane Season 2, Episodes 7-8-9...
As I’m writing this, it’s 4:20 in the morning. I’m on a 24-hour shift, but here I am, watching the new episodes as they’ve just come out. The hype I’m feeling is so intense that I’m not even a little bit sleepy. Episode 7 is both the most beautiful and the most heartbreaking thing I’ve seen in this series. I spent the entire episode thinking, "If only everything had gone right, this is how it all could have ended…” Seeing all the characters together and alive (except Vi) made me so happy, yet it was killing me inside because, in our reality, it’s the complete opposite. Can we all agree that Ekko is the hero of this series??? A guy who had everything taken from him, suddenly gets it all back, and then has to give it up again to save his people. He succeeds in the end, but it’s still so tragic, he accomplished his mission but was left alone, without his family, friends, or the girl he loved. It’s devastating.I was absolutely crushed by the death of my favorite psychotic blue-haired girl because I held onto hope until the very last second that she would survive… But alas, it seems that in both universes, the sisters can’t be happy together. One of them always has to die. Still, I’m glad they each had someone to lean on as they mourned their lost sister (Vi with Cait, Powder with Ekko). And Heimerdinger? My poor little guy died, and no one even noticed. At least he went out happy, knowing he gave someone else the chance to achieve what he couldn’t. And Jayce… I always had faith in him. I’ve supported him since the first season, and I held back from criticizing him in earlier episodes because I knew there was a reason behind his actions. And, oh boy, there sure was. By the way, Ambessa’s design is hands down my favorite, what an absolutely spectacular character design. And the ending… It’s perfect. Everything about this series is perfect. I’ve tried to think of a single bad thing about it, and I just can’t. I don’t think we’ll see another show this perfect for a long time, it’s a true masterpiece in every sense of the word.I really hope the creators expand this universe. There’s still so much left to explore and so many storylines to wrap up, like the Black Rose. If you’ll excuse me, I’m now going to cry myself to sleep, considering I haven’t slept since 8 a.m. yesterday.

Yo seguiré en negación creyendo para mi mismo que Jinx sigue viva
Edit 10:53 PM... DUDE I’m at a party, and there’s literally a guy who looks EXACTLY like Vander. Same clothes, same hair, same beard, same size… I feel like crying and I want to die 😭

"Wow Silco's not on that mural!" " Zaun really hated him!"
It's literally a firelight mural... of course they are going to paint Jinx with her "real" father because the firelights hated Silco and loved Vander.
But you know who the zaunites didn't like? Vander. Vander did absolutely nothing for them, he was enabling oppression, turning a blind eye to the enforcers and the suffering of Zaun, and they were absolutely sick of it. That's why Zaun turned its back on him and embraced Silco.
Silco was by no means a perfect leader either, he brought horrible suffering to the Zaunites himself, especially those who were most impoverished. But Silco also did a lot of good for the undercity. If it weren't for him, Zaun would not have shimmer to treat all sorts of ailments, to keep people alive long enough to recieve care and prosthetics. If it weren't for him, they would not have the shimmer they need to fuel devices like Sevika and Smeech's prosthetics. It is because of Silco that little Zaun has an army of shimmer beasts and weapons to fight for freedom and defend itself from the cat. Shimmer gave Zaun a new product that wasn't under Piltover's control with which it could strengthen its economy, and we see the industries of Zaun florish under Silco. As we see illustrated in the ending of episode one, it is only through shimmer and the sacrifice that comes with it that Zaun can turn the tables on its oppressor, and I don't think the Zaunites, especially Jinx, Sevika, an the others leading this fight, will forget so soon.
In the game Convergence, which takes place after Zaun's independence, we still see Silco's symbol plastered in the undercity. His symbol remains on the assembly building in the season two trailer. Silco even seems to have a cult-like following; the eye has a strange significance in Zaun, we see Zaunites making offerings of eyeballs to a turtle-like diety that is covered in jars of eyes and has Silco's symbol inscribed on its praying hands. The Zaunites know Sevika and Jinx were loyal to Silco. It would be in their best interest to paint Silco as a hero and his death a tragedy executed by Piltover.

Bonus: I don't understand why people make such a big deal over Silco employing children in the shimmer factory like he invented child labor or something. Child labor has been a thing in Zaun at least since Piltover has been oppressing it. Silco and Vander worked in dangerous conditions in the mines as children. Ekko worked for Benzo as a child. Vander's kids steal from people to make a living, they aren't doing much better. Silco didn't get rid of child labor but he did ensure the profit from it went towards the Undercity rather than the greedy hands of Piltover.

Hi! I love your writing so much <3 Can I have a request? Where reader helps Vi after things with Caitlyn went downhill and Vi realizes that true love has always been by her side? Something fluffy <3
Tumblr media
the ruins of our world - part one
vi x firelight!reader
wc: 2k
notes: soooo….. i got carried away, and i thought it would be weird without context, so i decided to divide the fic into two parts….. the next part is what you requested but i strayed a little (a lot) from the fluffy (if you count tending to her wounds and helping her heal as fluffy), i’ll post the part 2 tomorrow 😭😭 i just need to edit it and it’s 1 am right now 🤡 but i hope you like it either way!
Six years. Vi had lost six years of her life locked away in a prison cell, and you had spent six years believing she was dead. In that time, everything had changed. Powder was no longer the bright-eyed girl you both once knew—she was Jinx now, working under Silco, the last person you ever imagined she'd align herself with.
While Vi was gone, you and Ekko had fought to bring some semblance of peace to the Undercity. You helped people escape the grip of shimmer addiction, built a community, and held onto the hope that, one day, things would get better. That, somehow, you could honor the memories of Vander, Benzo, and—most of all—Vi.
But everything shifted the moment Ekko brought back news that Vi was alive. And not just alive—back in Zaun, with an Enforcer at her side. The thought of her working with someone from Piltover, the very system that had stolen so much from all of you, made your stomach turn. It didn’t make sense. Vi would never betray her people. Would she?
"You can't be serious, Ekko” you scoffed, crossing your arms tightly over your chest. "She would never do this to us. She would never help an Enforcer."
Ekko let out a heavy sigh, rubbing his temples. "Well, you can tell that to her yourself. We brought them back. She's downstairs. I was just about to interrogate her." His voice was laced with exhaustion, but more than that—hurt. Vi had practically raised him, taught him everything he knew about fighting, about surviving. If she had really changed, if she had truly sided with the people who had oppressed you all for so long, then what did that mean for the rest of you?
You hesitated, feeling your pulse quicken. You had spent years mourning Vi, carrying the weight of her loss like an open wound that never fully healed. And now, she was here—but was it really her?
"You go first," you muttered, looking away. "I don't think I can handle it if she's changed that much."
Ekko studied you for a moment before nodding. "Alright. But you know you're gonna have to face her eventually."
You knew he was right. But after six years, after all the pain and loss, you weren't sure which would hurt more—seeing Vi again or realizing that the Vi you once loved might be gone forever.
──────────────────────
After Ekko finished interrogating Vi and the Enforcer who had come with her, ensuring they weren’t a threat, you felt a little more at ease. But even with that reassurance, the weight of the past six years pressed down on you. Six years of believing Vi was dead. Six years of mourning your best friend—the only girl you had ever loved. And now, just like that, she was back? It was almost too much to process.
Sitting on the edge of your bed, you tried to steady your breathing, gripping the sheets beneath your fingers. Your heart pounded so hard it felt like it might burst from your chest. You had faced death, fought for your people, built a life from the ruins of your past—but nothing had ever terrified you as much as what you were about to do.
It was time. Time to face her. Time to face everything you had buried deep inside yourself.
Maybe, after all these years, you would finally tell Vi what you never had the chance to say. That you loved her. That you had spent every single day trying to live up to the kind of person she was—the kind of person you thought she would want you to be.
The kind of person she still is.
You had to get used to that. Vi is still here. And whether she had changed or not, whether she felt the same way or not, you couldn't let this moment slip away.
Taking a deep breath, you stood up, forcing your feet to move as you made your way to where Ekko had taken them—the mural. The place where you had painted the faces of the ones you lost. The ones you still fought for. The ones you refused to forget.
But as you got closer, you slowed, your breath catching in your throat. Vi stood there, talking to the Enforcer—Caitlyn, you had learned. There was something in the way she looked at her, the softness in her eyes, the gentle way she moved around her, as if they had a silent understanding. And then, Vi smiled—a real, genuine smile, the kind you hadn’t seen in years.
Your stomach twisted painfully. Maybe you had spent the last six years loving her, but it seemed she had spent them falling for someone else. Maybe she had never felt the same way about you at all.
You took a step back, instinctively retreating, but it was too late.
"Y/N?"
Vi’s voice cut through the air, freezing you in place. The voice you had memorized, the one you had whispered to yourself on sleepless nights, terrified you might forget it.
Slowly, you lifted your gaze, meeting Vi’s eyes for the first time in six years. And just like that, the floodgates opened. Every emotion you had buried—grief, anger, love, longing—came rushing to the surface, threatening to consume you whole.
Your feet moved before you could even think, dragging you toward her. The tears in your eyes blurred your vision, but it didn’t matter—you felt her before you saw her. Strong arms wrapped around you, holding you tight, grounding you, just like she used to when you were fifteen. When the world was cruel, but Vi made you feel safe.
"I missed you so much," you choked out, your voice shaking, raw from the sobs that tore through you. But you didn’t care. You didn’t care how you sounded, how broken you must have looked. You had spent six years holding this in, and now, with Vi in front of you, you couldn't hold it back any longer.
"I thought you were dead," you cried, gripping onto her as if letting go meant losing her all over again. "I thought you died when the building blew up."
Vi tightened her hold on you, one hand cradling the back of your head like she was trying to shield you from the pain that had already happened. "I'm not," she murmured, her voice softer than you had ever heard it. "I'm here."
But that reassurance wasn’t enough to stop the flood of emotions crashing over you. Six years. Six years of mourning her, of carrying the weight of her absence, of trying to be strong for Ekko, for the Firelights, for everyone who had looked to you for guidance. Six years of swallowing your grief, forcing yourself forward when all you had wanted to do was break.
And now, you were breaking. Right there in Vi’s arms.
The tears you had refused to shed, the ones you had swallowed down in the name of survival, poured freely down your face. And Vi didn’t let go. She held you through it, letting you fall apart, just like she always had.
When you finally calmed down, you sat with Vi, Caitlyn, and Ekko as they laid out their so-called brilliant plan—one that involved going to the council and talking like that had ever done anything for the Undercity. You wanted to scoff, to tell them it was a waste of time, but deep down, you knew arguing wouldn't change anything. Vi had made up her mind, and despite everything, you trusted her.
Still, someone had to stay behind.
“We can’t both leave,” you reasoned with Ekko, arms crossed as you stood with the others. “If something happens while we’re gone, the base could be compromised. Especially now that Silco knows Vi is here.”
The four of you exchanged glances, the weight of the situation pressing down on all of you.
“You guys go,” you finally said, forcing the words out even though they felt like knives in your throat. “Talk to your council friends, explain whatever you have to explain. I’ll stay here.”
Vi’s brows furrowed, her mouth pressing into a tight line. You could tell she didn’t like the idea of leaving you behind any more than you liked watching her go again. But this was the right call. You had spent years fighting for Zaun, for the Firelights—you weren’t about to abandon them now, not even for her.
Even so, as Vi stood up, ready to leave, you couldn’t shake the feeling that this time, letting her go might hurt just as much as losing her the first time.
──────────────────────
When you heard about the explosion on the bridge, and how Ekko hadn’t returned home, panic gripped you. Ekko had always been your constant—your family, your closest ally. You couldn’t bear the thought of losing him, not after everything you had been through together.
You rushed through the streets of Zaun, your heart pounding with every step. The familiar chaos of the Undercity now felt like a heavy fog pressing in on you. Your thoughts raced, images of the bridge, the fire, and the violence flashing through your mind. What if something had happened to him? What if he didn’t make it back?
It was then that you saw him—Ekko, alone, limping through the streets. His body was battered, blood staining his clothes, and his face was drawn with exhaustion and pain. Your breath caught in your throat, but you ran to him, relief flooding you as you approached.
“Ekko!” You grabbed his arm to steady him, worry flooding your voice. “What happened? Are you okay?”
He gave you a weak smile, though it didn’t reach his eyes. “I’m fine. A little banged up, but I’ll survive.”
Your gaze flicked to his injured side. “You’re not fine, Ekko. What happened on the bridge?”
He sighed heavily, looking away as if the weight of the situation was too much to bear. “Jinx. She caused the explosion. Vi... Vi tried to stop her, but...” His voice faltered. “I couldn’t save her. I couldn’t stop Jinx. She...”
You could see the regret in his eyes. The bridge, the explosion—it all made sense now. But there was something else that hurt more. Vi. She wasn’t with him.
“Where’s Vi?” you asked, trying to keep your voice steady.
Ekko’s expression darkened. “She and Caitlyn—they’re gone. They went to Piltover. Jinx took the stone, but they still think they can make a solid case for the council.”
“God, she’s still so stubborn” you muttered, rolling your eyes before sighing. “Come on, let’s get you out of here.”
Ekko’s hoverboard was in pieces, and from the way he winced with every step, his leg was probably broken. Still, with difficulty, you managed to get him back to the Firelight base. You took most of his weight, your arms burning with the effort, but neither of you complained. You had been through worse.
That night, as you helped patch him up, silence settled between you. There was nothing left to say. Vi was gone—again.
And from that day on, you didn’t hear a single word from her. Not even when Jinx blew up the council.
At first, you told yourself she was busy. That she had bigger things to worry about. That she was trying to help her sister, to fix the mess that had spiraled so far out of control. And you understood that. Of course you understood that.
But a selfish part of you wished she had reached out. That she had come to you for help. That, after everything, she still saw you as a safe place too.
But she didn’t.
And for the first time since she came back, you wondered if she ever really had.
