Do you have any more autism Taco headcanons? I know theres only so many "she doesn't like loud noises" but maybe through like specific scenarios or something? I find the idea really interesting, theres just already so much on this blog

Hi there!!^^ Welcome, and thank you for sending in your request!! :] I am down for autistic Taco anytime my dear it is a lovely excuse for me to project onto her.

Ask and you shall receive, more autistic Taco headcanons!

A little nervous stim I like to headcanon for her is her bumping her fists together in front of her. We see her do it once when she's talking to Pickle, and I have taken it and made it her little stim for when she's anxious or scared. I like to think Mic would eventually pick up on it and use it to help gauge Taco's mood.

I think Taco would be pretty rigid when it comes to her schedule, which could end up being a problem once she's start living with the others again. No she can't help with construction right now, are you insane, it's noon which means it's time for her second cup of tea for the day, she'll get to whatever you need after and that's that. It'd probably be annoying to the others first, but at some point they'd see her get nervous and upset if she can't have her scheduled tea times and such, and just let her go about her business when she needs to.

Despite Taco wanting to and being happy that she gets to join the group again, I honestly don't see her branching out too much. She likes her alone time quite a lot, yeah? I think she'd get frustrated trying to do things with others pretty easily. I think she'd just do what we've seen her doing so far- making a few friends and just following them around. She follows Mic around. She follows Goo around. She's not purposefully cold to anyone, but she isn't dying to be part of every single activity, yeah?

Sleep disturbances!! A higher percentage of autistic people experience sleep issues/circadian rhythm abnormalities and Taco has lived alone in the woods for years. Her circadian rhythm is incredibly messed up!! It would take ages for her to get on a semi-normal sleep cycle, and even then she'd probably decide to nap sometimes because she is tired and The Sun Is Not The Boss Of Her! I like to think she'd stay up longer than normal and sleep for long than normal, solely because that's my issue. I am projecting.

I've spoken about Taco being low-empathy before, but I like to think post-finale she gets so conscious about not trying to be mean/harsh/blunt etc. (which I am right about anyway since we just saw that in the tour promo) and would more or less give up on masking in that aspect. If she sees that someone's expression has changed she'll just ask why. It would probably get people in the habit of explaining their feeling to her automatically, which would be quite helpful for her. I can imagine Mic wincing after she casually says something that makes her look bad (ex: explaining how she could have burned down the hotel very easily because it's layout and building materials were a recipe for disaster [she has this plan because she schemes to help her fall asleep but no one knows that]) and she just asks Mic, like, "Mic, you're making a Taco-did-something-wrong face. What happened? What did I do?"

2. What is your character's alignment? Ofelia is Lawful Good, according to several tests I've taken for her lol. I feel like that fits her well- she values justice and will do whatever she can to stick up for those less fortunate. She's a believer in laws and rules, unless those are unjust and take advantage of others for the gain of the small upper percentage. Coming from a minority, she understands that struggle better than most and has seen firsthand what it can do to a population. She'll never stop resisting the rule of those who think they can subdue and instill fear to hold on to their power.

4. If your Tav was a companion, where would they be found? I think if you could find her after the crash, she'd most likely end up down the beach a ways, sitting on the dock next to the dead fishermen, looking out at the water. She'd be trying to get her bearings and possibly even a little tearful, figuring out that she's "not in Kansas anymore". 😂 She'd be very thankful to the player for finding her and will hang on to their every word about this new world she's in, and I feel like some mischievous options would be misleading her and telling her stupid stuff to take advantage of her unfamiliarity. Unless you dismissed her and were just poking fun, she'd laugh afterward and scold the player for messing with her, but would most likely get an approval if the player is apologetic. 😂 Asking her to join the player's party would give you an approval, and she'd be so relieved, most likely forming a bond from that moment where she'd do anything to help the player character and try to be a useful asset despite her disadvantages. If resorting to dismissing her and leaving her on the beach, she'd probably nod and close in on herself and say "I'd not be of much help anyway... thank you for telling me where I am, at least." and I think that'd be the end of her lol. I'd like to think she'd make it to the Grove, but from then on, she'd most likely just end up abandoned and turned into a mind flayer without the protection of the astral prism.

11. Weapon of choice? If it's not her lute, then it'd be her crossbow! She's gotten better at it over the course of her journey so far, but I think she also values the ranged attack style since she's not so used to combat like the others are. Once she starts to get more comfortable, and gets her virtual degree in the college of swords (lol), she'll be wielding phalar aluve 💖

14. What hobbies does your Tav have? I feel like as a bard, it's cheap and easy for me to say playing instruments, singing, art, etc. Her other hobbies outside of that would be journaling and taking pictures of things she likes with her instant film camera to paste into her journal. It's a fun little thing she does to create lasting memories and started mid-high school for her as a way to catalogue the things or people she saw that she wanted to make last, moving around in the foster system so much.

15. What NPC's do they like? Which one's do they dislike? I'd say some of her favorite NPCs are Alfira, Rolan, and Cal & Lia. I can't wait till they all meet up again, especially during Rolan's little emotional drunken breakdown and bringing back his siblings to him. It'll be cute, and Ofelia really resonates with Lia. 🥰💗

26. What animal best represents your Tav? I've been asked this before and I chose a raven for Ofelia- their symbolism is usually focused on wisdom, death, and transformation. Some of those don't make sense NOW I think, but will later in the story 🖤 Since she's a durge, I feel that element of the supernatural and that connection with death (not unlike her flowers post for magnolias) resonate with her character too 🖤

Nina in Wonderland:

Just a random thing that was inspired from Tea Party Delight fic by 123countwithme. For some reason that reminded me of the tea party part in Alice in Wonderland, and thought it would be cool to have an AU or the characters reimagine themselves in Alice in Wonderland. I just thought it'll be fun to draw! Tho I haven't assigned any of the characters other than Nina as Alice and Warehouse Mouse as the White Rabbit (maybe).

You'll Always Be One of Us:

Honorary Mover Nina! This is a sort of alternate ending (?) for the episode "Aloha Nina" where the Movers gift Nina her own custom Mover suit and tell her that no matter where she is, she'll always be a part of the team. (And then Nina tells them she's not leaving lol, but she's basically a Mover now yay🎉)

Headcanons for Nina's Friends:

I kinda see Flora as the type that doesn't know fashion much, or in general she doesn't mind being a mess. I mean like, she'd just choose whatever is the easiest option and comfortable clothes like ones she wears for gardening. That's why Claudia likes making outfits for her and she'd kinda dress her up sometimes, because Flora doesn't mind and will trust Claudia's sense of style.

I can imagine Olivia is a cozy gamer. She'd play Animal Crossing or whatever is the equivalent in the Movers universe.

I think she'd also like mystery genre fiction and plays puzzle type games like the Professor Layton series. She'd probably love to investigate in the "It's a Mystery" episode hehe.

Whenever Olivia helps Dave with his inventions, she's the kind of person who is curious and is pretty observant. So whenever Dave misses a feature or detail (installing breaks, labelling things, etc.) Olivia could point them out to him (yay teamwork!)

A lot of Claudia's works feature fish. I don't know lol, I just think a lot of fish are really cool and pretty and I can imagine her making fish-themed art. Maybe one of her favourite mythical creatures is mermaids.

That's all I could think of on the top of my head. I sorta have an idea for how the dynamic between each of them would be, but maybe I'll give it a bit more thought before posting them.

Speaking of tying people up... Kunikida really likes being tied up. Yosano will handcuff him to the bed while she pegs him or force him to eat with his arms tied behind his back.

Petplay too! He is her obedient puppy who will do whatever his mistress wants. She has a collar for him with his name on it and everything. Lots of humiliation with her not allowing him to stand, to speak, not letting him use his hands while eating, etc.

To make up for how mean she is during scenes and stuff (he is so into it), she gives heavenly tummy rubs and good aftercare praise. I'm picturing him lying in her lap, still pretty fucked-out, and her gently massaging his belly and telling him how good he was for her and how much of a pretty boy he is 🥰

i have SO many my mind is a jb first kiss scenario machine like if ever a mind reader were to try read my mind it's just gonna be jb first kiss jb kissing jb doing more than kissing but a lot of kissing is involved etc. anyway. i've always liked the idea that it gets dragged on. like i don't think they'll be the type to kiss right away once they've realized their feelings, instead, they're going to stew on their feelings instead or ignore it outright and there's just going to be this tension between them and it's a game of who's going to actually acknowledge the elephant in the room. like i really looove the idea of jb not being in a relationship but they just have this tension between them and it's like 👁️👁️??? if one of them gives a sign the whole thing will explode. like in a scenario where they're arguing bc of god knows what they just find themselves really close to each other and theyre looking at each other's lips and if one of them just leans in it's game over they're gonna start kissing then fucking on that space in particular rip to anyone who's in proximity (i am a jb first time fucking on the floor truther first and foremost!!!!!!!!) and when they start kissing they cannot stop kissing and jaime's just gonna be like god why didn't i kiss you sooner? we should've been doing this ages ago the world can end right now and i dont even care as long as i keep kissing you fuck everyone else fr and brienne's like ?? ok werk. then after that jaime will just keep pulling her on the side for quick makeout sessions like sorry the floodgate has been OPENED.

I decided to wrote a fic, about the idea i shared with you few weeks ago, where Isabella is forced to have twins after the escape (one boy to replace Ray, the girl to be a perfect sister/mother like her)

The worse? Peter forces her to take care of them for a year, until the moment where they would be send in a orphenage. It's a punishment. He wants her get attached and to suffer. Maybe because he thinks that she is not fully innocent in the escape, maybe because he's just a sadist.

Isabella tries to stay distant. But she can't. She loved all her children, so her owns? she'll be unable to not love them. And during her pregnancy and this first year, she thinks a lot about Ray. Her first pregnancy, baby Ray, little Ray….ect…and realize that she loves him a lot more that she thought, she just couldn't fully admit it before because trauma and fear to get attached to him. now that they are away of each other, she can think about him more and more fondly.

I decided of two things

Ray gaves Isabella a photo of him (he had asked Norman to take it) while saying "here you can have a little memory of me, to remember what you did to your own child!" like the day before his birthday. She had it in her pocket when the fire started so she kept it. With Ray's letter, it's her most precious possession.

When the twins started to talk, after they said "mama" for the first time, she decided to show them the photo of Ray to teach them to say "Ray". Whatever the revolt that she plans (while waiting Emma and the others to come back) is a sucesss or fails, she want the name "Ray" to be their second word. So as soon they see him in the human word, they start to be "Lay, Way!" and he's super confused that these two babies, that he doesn't know, call him by his name XD

I remember the twin thing! Yes! (okay but little side note before I ramble on.. the kids would be gorgeous. I mean, any kid Isabella would have would be lucky since she's stunningly beautiful and we already got Ray as the perfect example of how adorable those kids would look!)

Anyways, you're just giving me reasons to despise Peter more than I already do because that's definitely a cruel trick he would've pulled off. He should've done something like that too, if he was smart, but thank goodness he isn't and believed Isabella would help him with little to no resistance. He really thought it was that easy to pull her in as an ally. What a dummy.

Too bad this woman is a professional at keeping secrets and her emotions on lock. The fool fell for her "woe is me" act hook, line and sinker.

She completely played this boy. She looks all thankful for the second chance at life on the outside but underneath she is seething with rage.

Gonna try to put all my love for this woman aside so I can focus on the rest of this, aahha..

But yeah. No matter how strong her facade is, Isabella cares so much about her children. It evident with all the toys of theirs she kept as mementos in the secret room, even the farewell note of Ray's. Not to say that the love she showed them on a daily basis was a lie, because her feelings were genuine, but there's still a reasonable distance between caretaker and mother that she lives by.

She would absolutely think of Ray again during that next pregnancy, about whether he's doing alright outside the farm, all those years watching over him as a caretaker, the moments she wishes she could act like a mother to him, etc. You're right that she'd think of him more fondly as this would happen post-escape, so she's already given up her facade and accepted her defeat. She's got nothing else to lose at this point. Well, except for the twins now.

You dunno how badly I wished that Isabella had kept the photo that Ray took of her. It might've been a weird thing to grab before the fire happened, especially when she had to prioritize the safety of the other children, but I had hoped the Isabella photo survived somehow if only to show human-world Emma what she looked like. One headcanon I have is that Yvette could always draw a portrait of Isabella so Emma has a face to put to a name, but it wouldn't be quite the same ya know? I'm still surprised Ray's goodbye note managed to survive the fire and I can only suspect that Isabella had the note on her person prior to all the panic since it was the night before/morning of Ray's intended shipment. Perhaps she was feeling nostalgic. Or she just so happened to grab it when she went back inside to retrieve the radio or the blankets for the younger children afterwards. Either way, I still find it sweet she kept something that dear to her.

Going back to the idea of twins though.. OH. Okay, sorry, ignore everything I just said because I originally misread the whole "Ray gave Isabella a photo of him" and not her. MY BAD. Yeah, he could've been that spiteful towards her. I mean, if he was ready to lit himself on fire then one final jab at Isabella would be easy. No doubt the photo would be of him flipping her off though.

With that in mind now, it would've been real cute if she did hold onto a photo of him and show it to the twins (so long as it isn't such a rude photo like the example I gave, wouldn't want the babies to pick up on horrible manners right away pfftt). But to have them both learn his name and recognize him once everyone crosses over in the human world.. awww. That would be so darn sweet! It would confuse him at first yeah, but I'm sure he'll pick up the relation he has with them soon enough, especially if they inherited their mother's good looks. It would be over if the twins also knew the lullaby too. Aahh just imagine!! Ray learning that he had siblings the same way Isabella recognized her own son. Ohh my heart.. I'm weak.

How do I respectfully tell Christian friends to fuck off and stop sending me religious images/videos/etc? I met this girl a couple years ago when I was working at a bar in a touristy town. We hit it off, and she is legitimately a great person. She's energetic, thoughtful, and really adds life to a room. However, she's also very, very, VERY Christian. I was brought up Roman Catholic. I went to private Catholic middle school and high school until I had to move across the country. I learned a LOT, not just about different sects of Christianity, but other religions aswell. I learned a lot of history and the impacts of religion on the wider world a la missionary work and the entirety of imperialism. I also have seen the mass corruption and fuckery of the catholic church ALL THROUGHOUT HISTORY, the weaponization of faith, and the increase in vitriol towards non-religious folks or anyone who doesn't identify the same as practicing Christians. When I left Catholic high school and transferred to a public high school, things were much different for me. I wasn't bombarded with Christian propaganda and prayers all the time like I was before. I wasn't constantly reminded I'm a microcosmic nothing and that I was a sinner for being born. I felt so much more like myself. I've had a lot of other shit happen in my life regarding religion, and I won't bore you, but the point of all of this is to say that I've spent a LOT of time trying to figure out why and how I identify in regards to beliefs, and I've landed on being completely atheist because to me, if this life is the only one I have, I'd be better off living it to the fullest and being completely in control. Plus, if there IS an afterlife or heaven or whatever the fuck, if I just live my life like a good fuckin person it'll all pan out. Which brings us to this post. I've talked to her at length about my opinions on religion and asked her to not bring it up with me, and she'll routinely kinda ignore it or throw random God shit into conversations. I don't hate that God has helped her or made her feel more secure, and I honestly understand how she was brought into the headspace she's in now with it. What I do care about is her disrespecting the boundary I clearly set out for her. I've mentioned in the past that it makes me uncomfortable when I feel like she's trying to convert me, and that it will never work. I know in her mind she's just trying to be God's messenger or whatever, but it's still incredibly frustrating. I'm thinking about giving her an ultimatum and saying to keep that stuff out of our conversations, but I also worry about her taking that the wrong way. I want to try and maintain the friendship, but the consistent disregard to how I feel is kinda bothering me. Yang goes to military boarding school, au.

So Yang is 11, and Ruby is 9 at the beginning. Taiyang is now able to get himself out of bed and try to be a dad. But because *insert every post made by this blog made about Yang and Ruby's childhood and relationship with Taiyang* they are not exactly receptive to this. At this point, Taiyang realizes that Yang got parentified a little bit. (A lot)

(To preferencethe rest of this post, Taiyang isn't being malicious. He's just an idiot and a little jealous.)

So, Taiyang, in an attempt to salvage his daughters' childhoods(mostly Ruby's because favorite child), he calls in though favors he has in Atlas to get Yang a spot in one of the military boarding schools that Atlas definitely has. Taiyangs, the thought process being that Yang can't be parentified if she is not here, and hopefully allow Taiyang to retake his place as a parental figure in Ruby life.

So Taiyang breaks the knows, and no one but him is happy about it. Ruby's a mess, Yang is trying really hard not to be a mess, and when Qrow gets back from mission, he's gonna be passed. But as Taiyang is technically the adult here and has final say, Yang gets shipped to Atlas until she turns 17 and enrolls in Beacon.

Now, on one hand, Yang gets there and is feeling abandoned, and like she abandoned Ruby. She catches so flake from the richer students for being poor. Plus, all the other issues that come with being at a private school. But on the other hand, she's doing great in class and in combat training and whatever extracurriculars she has going on.

Back on Patch, Ruby's depressed and Taiyang is trying his best. But Ruby doesn't accept any help from him because he's not Yang and had her sent away. Ruby would struggle for a while before becoming more independent, asking herself, "What would Yang do?" Would want to join Yang at the boarding school but doesn't because Taiyang can only afford to send Yang.

Taiyangs' relationship with Ruby becomes more strained. He can't be there for Ruby emotionally like Yang could, even though he can meet her other needs(food, safety from grimm, etc.) better than Yang could. I think by the time Ruby goes to become, she would call Taiyang by his name and not dad.

Finally, when Qrow gets back from mission and finds out that Yangs is gone, he has a massive fight with Taiyang about it. He tries to force Taiyang to bring Yang back but fails. At first, Qrow would try to split his down time between visiting Yang and Ruby, but Yang tells him to spend more time with Ruby because she needs him more. He would put a lot more effort into getting missions down so he could spend more time with Ruby.

When Yang gets to Beacon, she's become a bit more reserved and disciplined. She excels in school even more so than in cannon, but at the cost of having even more abandoned and attachment issues.

Hey so if you don't know me you will now and something about me is that I love whump, aka seeing my favourite fictional characters suffer. Like, suffer a lot, physically, emotionally, mentally, anything goes.

And with Twilight being a spy my mind just automatically goes "He's going to get captured one day and he will be tortured and it will be glorious :)" but then. Questions emerge. In my mind it would happen post-identity reveal and after the Forgers realize they want to stay together, so what would stop Yor from searching out for her missing husband and wreaking absolute havoc upon seeing that they're torturing him?

It was a question that's been bouncing around my head since I came up with that scenario. One idea I had was that this happens while Ostania's government is slowly falling apart, and more and more actions towards peace are taken. Orders for disarming, peace treaties, whatever goes idk how that shit works. Meanwhile, the SSS are sending pictures of tortured Twilight (and maybe a tooth or two) to the Western embassy in Ostania to provoke them. WISE decides to not do anything about Twilight, because things are just going so well and maybe they'll get an actual chance at peace and exposing the SSS's violence against one of their agents will make all of that effort crumble down. Sylvia reluctantly agrees to not do anything, because as much as it pains her to see Twilight like that, she knows he'd rather be tortured and killed than risk the peace and cause further conflict.

So I was asking myself, how would Yor stand for this? How long until Sylvia's words that this is what Twilight would want became crumbs to her worry about her husband's safety and life? For how long could Sylvia stop her, and how guilty would Yor feel for standing by while she knew he was being tortured?

And then I thought, well, easy solution, Yor gets discovered and has to take Anya and Bond and run away and hide, so she cannot go back for Loid. Now she has to stay away, but wouldn't that be too convenient, for her to be discovered just when her taking action would cause the promise for peace to shatter?

Well, just yesterday I thought that it wouldn't be "plot convenient"... if it was Sylvia who reported her. Twilight knew she's the Thorn Princess, but tried hiding it from Sylvia. Sylvia doesn't know all the details, but she knows Yor was hiding something, something which then Twilight hid from her. So when she suspects Yor is about to risk everything... Sylvia calls the SSS on her. Yor is forced to run away and leave Loid behind.

But after a while, everything between the two countries is set in peace. Maybe they're united, idk, something. So Yor comes to Sylvia's place and is like "You either help me get him out or you die right now." Sylvia just takes out the blueprints of the place the now defunct but still working in the shadows SSS is keeping Loid - she was just about to go rescue him herself. They rescue him but during the escape he puts himself in front of Yor and takes a bullet for her. They know WISE cannot provide sufficient medical care so they have to take him to the hospital. Despite all the political resolutions he's still considered a criminal, and Yor is still wanted, so there's heavy security outside the room he's kept in and Yor has no quiet and non-violent way of getting in. She manages to sneak in once while he's still fighting for his life, but then things get too intense and she has to stay away.

Twilight wakes up - he was informed that Yor was exposed while he was in captivity - and sees Sylvia, who tells him how they have peace now etc etc and he realizes it was her who reported Yor.

He understands why Sylvia did it, truly, he does. He wouldn't have had it any other way. But he also can't help hating her. Sylvia doesn't ask for forgiveness, doesn't pride herself in her choice; she knows that for the rest of her life she'll carry the burden of having destroyed the life the Forgers had built, of the thought that she would do it again for the sake of peace, and of the thought that despite hating her, the man whose life she ruined cannot blame her.

Of course, I'm not a fan of super sad endings so the Forgers reunite not too long after, and Sylvia would be one of those who help them get back together, but until that happens I want to see the angst and pain to make the happy ending more satisfying.

Anyway this is rambling and I avoid manga spoilers like the plague so please don't spoil me if anything like that happens or even is so much as mentioned thank

In the promo pics it looks like Nadia is definitely getting more of an edge - regaining control but harsher appearance (is wedding ring still on?). By contrast, Arman and Thony look so natural together (even if a bit worried) and much more authentic - great bike pic in their matching black jackets! I hope this reflects Arman's journey - everything stripped away but finding his true self with Thony by his side, wherever that goes. Curious to see if ep title Spousal Privilege has anything to do with Nadia & Arman in part. Once Fi and kids leave, I wonder where Thony will stay if in danger?!

Putting the rest under the cut, because of speculating/spoilers on 2.07 - 2.08 and 2.09

Warning: I mostly speculate here, but I do address some scenes that will happen in 2.09 - it can be heavily spoilery, so please tread carefully if you don't want any of that.

It definitely looks like it 👀 this might be the episode where we'll get to see Nadia torn between Arman and Robert - she'll still stay loyal to Arman though but it'll be interesting to watch anyways!

Concerning JD taking Fiona and the kids away, that won't last long - Luca is back (and sick..) at Fiona's house in ep9 - which is probably the reason why they come back (despite the possible danger).

If Kamdar is sending someone (or whatever may happen in ep7 - I'm just speculating here because of the promo for 2.07) to Fi's house - I guess it's more as a way to "display his power/send a warning/show how easily he could have killed Thony's entire family" if she ever betrays him...

Maya will probably take the fall for the FBI Raid (I could really see Kamdar torturing and then killing her in front of Arman oooorrr forcing Arman to kill her himself to ''prove'' that he's not involved with her/the FBI - imagine Garrett's reaction once he finds out..this probably won't happen but that's how my twisted mind works when I see those promo pics for 2.07 🙈) ⬇️

Robert will still be suspicious but I'm sure they'll come up with a plan that will make them valuable to him - so their lives shouldn't be directly threatened. They're probably just trying to protect anyone that could be used as leverage against them 🤷🏻‍♀️

I was trying to find a very specific post about a priestess from ancient Greece, I believe, implying (or making it clear) that you don't need to feel the Theoi, they're listening regardless of what you feel. About getting in touch with her, I feel like you could benefit from some kharis. Kharis is the reciprocity of a relationship. In this case, you honour the deity and then the deity shall favor you. So y'know, just worship her. Offerings, prayers, you know the drill. If you're talking about direct communication, that can be tricky. In my personal experience, communication fluctuates... I don't feel like talking about it now, tho, I feel like it'd be so much to say in a single post... But trying to make it short, I feel like kharis will also interfere in how much she'll be willing to communicate with you. Sometimes the Theoi will just not answer because, and that's okay too, at least for me. They're also alive after all...

About the tarot cards, yeah I feel like making them yourself is a good idea, and I also think that practicing tarot can help you hone your intuition, so that's neat. About the cinnamon throwing tho... I can't say much because I'm not familiar with bone throwing, but I thought different bones mean different things, so they'd be needed... but whatever works for you! That matters most, I suppose.

"How do I know she wants to work with me?" Considering your own words, she's been screaming into your face for a good while now. Don't you think that's enough of a confirmation? That being said, I think any deity would like to be worshipped. Heck, even spirits would want to be worshipped at times since it's such an advantageous relationship! I'm sure she'd make it veryyy clear if she didn't want your love :) I can say that she makes it clear, at times, when I am not giving her enough attention.

Lastly, I just wanted to say that patience is a true virtue when it comes to spirituality. No cap. We have to deal with a lot in very little time in this day and age because of the way our societies are structured, but it's good to remember that the Other Side doesn't work like ours :) please, do have patience and start to make yourself resistant to failure, because we're gonna fail a lot, at times years even, before we get to the level of power we're reaching for. this week:

maya continues to not send that text, but she keeps posting things online. we get maybe 1-2 more clips before friday; one with bilal at the kebab shop, and one with maya and her association pals. tiny things keep being revealed about maya’s psyche, upbringing, etc. 

we don't see lola until friday; either she and maya finally reconnect via text and decide to meet up, or she just comes back to collect her things from the flat and finds maya instead. both go in to this meeting with very different expectations; they break up officially, maya is blindsided, and lola says something very cutting about love not being enough anymore, how she doesn't know maya at all, she needs more, etc. maya still won't cry, which will be pointed out.

the rest of the season (under a cut bc it’s LONG):

this is a hard season to map out tbh because unlike s7/8, there was no massive life-changing issue thrown at the main in the trailer. it feels more character driven atm? like you could theorize whether tiff would keep moïra or not, when lamif would discover bilal being homeless etc, but what’s there to theorize about right now except who the characters in the credits are, and whether mayla will get back together? i’m enjoying that a lot actually, but it means these are very disjointed and in no particular order:

at some point, maya will see the dermatologist for her tattoo/scar. she'll mistake a panic attack for a heart attack OR becomes so stressed etc she faints/gets chest pains and sees the cardiologist. if she's hospitalized, it's revealed that lola's dad is her emergency contact, and that's when he appears; they have a sweet moment, he says something about seeing her as a daughter too, etc.

maya keeps working with bilal at the kebab shop and he'll talk about his family, jo, and hiding his emotions. anais gets closer to maya, but it's not romantic, just set up for her having a role in s10 and/or because she's disconnected from lamif and has zero loyalty to lola, so it's presented as less weird for maya to talk to her. they'll probably reveal anais also has parental issues. max takes maya to a queer support group and/or a gay club; we hear more about their ex relationship, and he talks about tiff, moïra, and parenting. maya and redouane share a scene or two to set up s10 (maybe he takes her boxing? that’s a good way to let out pent up emotions), but he and jo will mostly remain comedic relief.

maya will shave her hair off again, either at a really angsty point where she's having an identity crisis (cue the early 2000s style montage), or it's a moment of catharsis near the end. max or lola will help her if it's the latter.

mayla keep avoiding each other for the first few eps (and we see the impact of that on lamif's dynamic) until the hospitalization brings them back into each other's orbits. OR they just strike up an awkward friendship after continuously running into each other: at the shop, at school, when tiff needs a babysitter, etc. they don’t get back together until ep8 at the earliest, ep10 at the latest, but i can maybe see maya trying to do it much earlier and lola protesting that she’s not ready, she’s still not opening up. one of their scenes will parallel something from s6. they’re definitely endgame; maya finally says i love you onscreen.

at some point, maya and her association break into a construction site (maybe one that only exists because a bunch of trees had to be cut down first?); they don't get caught but it scares her. the association will be unfavorably compared to lamif (who have another ‘standing in a circle telling the main why we love them’ moment) after weeks of them being shown as bad friends who demand too much and do ~illegal things~ or whatever. we’ll hear about why maya is into enviro activism specifically.

i want clement to just be lola's confidant since they both like photography and he’s disconnected from lamif (her anais basically) and maya's jealousy is mistaken, although i don't mind if he's her rebound tbh. she’ll probably tell maya that nothing compares to what they had anyways. maya doesn’t have another LI this season, though she’ll get close to jade, who is either in the association, or someone else maya meets (at the support group? in a different association, presented as a better option? i can’t see them making maya give up all activism, but i can see them comparing groups/tactics etc.)

i don’t even want to think about when and why eliott appears yet, but he’ll probably reference ‘luquette’ (and of course talk about lucas, who i think will appear himself alongside other old gen members in s10 to parallel s6′s ending. redouane will screen his own documentary film.)

maya doesn’t cry until after ep5/6 at least. she’ll talk about her parents and her childhood; maybe they died around this time of year. this connects to why she shuts down; it’s revealed she’s self-aware about it. she’ll ‘forgive’ her parents. hate the concept of ‘hell week’ (at least how the fandom uses it) but maya’s will be tough and she’ll be truly alone: no parents, no siblings, no gf, has pushed lamif away, the association are bad, etc.

i’m not ruling out the possibility that a former foster sibling appears. the hugo and sasha characters in the credits won’t actually appear until s10 (or if they do, it’s very brief like matheo’s s7 cameo); they’ll be main characters then.

maya being asian will be briefly referenced no more than once, if even that. her sexuality will come up, though not explicitly, if max takes her to the group/club.

maya visits the school to discuss options for her career with the principal. she sees the nurse here too because of course she does; she’s given advice about love, mental health, and the future. she considers going back to school or doing whatever the french equivalent of community college is? maybe something to do with teaching, or art? if it’s art, eliott will talk to her about it.

there’ll be a cold/blue/dark/moon vs warm/red/light/sun motif throughout that comes full circle. she’ll finally unpack her boxes at the end of the season.

I'd like to discuss a SnK theory with someone, it's on the possibility of a different (or expanded) AnR theory.

Disclaimer: Perhaps you should read this post with the lyrics for Akatsuki no Requiem by Linked Horizon in mind, but I also don't stand by the original reddit theory a 100%.

One of the questions that lingers around the fandom is: "who would've survived the Rumbling had it been done as originally implied by the themes and foreshadowing of the story?". Some believe only Eren and Historia would have had that chance, but they might be mistaken.

The first proof I have in order to back this claim is AnR's official art as drawn by WIT Studio during the production of season three of the anime:

Just as shown in the original PV by Linked Horizon, each of these characters are standing by a gravestone while holding a bouquet and looking conflicted. Now, to counter the original AnR theorists, I propose that Eren —and by extension, Historia— weren't the only ones to live on with regret in their hearts, instead, Levi and Hanji survived as well.

Why did they survive? Is my conclusion solely based on these pictures? Well, just in part.

I believe Attack on Titan was never meant to be a one-sided story, and that one of the various themes that weren't thoroughly explored in the later chapters, a theme which was instead rushed and swiftly overlooked, is that of the conflict between "Nationalism" and "Internationalism". It's obvious and needless to point out that Yaegerists were the former, but the latter never take a name for themselves. However, we get a rough idea of who they might be, one of them is clearly Hanji Zoe:

Another internationalist is obviously Onyankopon:

Another one is Armin and so on, and so on.

Are they the only type on people on Earth? Of course not. Notably you also have those who have egotistical motivations, like Jean, who just wants to get married and live a peaceful life in the inner cities; or the Hizuru ambassador, Kiyomi, whose motivation is monetary gain. The world isn't black and white in AoT so, to clarify, it's unnecessary to classify every character in the dichotomy here presented.

Now, if Yams hadn't downplayed this interaction, we may have had a better thought out plan to stop the Rumbling and, possibly, a less moronically cringy way for "The Alliance" to be presented.

Why is that? It's because of various reasons. First, one of the most observant characters, Hanji, is notable for having spied on some of Eren and Historia's interactions (the "You look happy — that's because I am" scene for example) but by the end of the story the audience never got a reason as to why this observant behavior happened. If Hanji really is as cunning and observant as she is portrayed to be, she should've been the first character to suspect that Eren is the father and, therefore, that Historia's pregnancy's due date was off. Instead of the survey corps discussing this info, we get some random officers discussing irrelevant rumours about it. Isayama I mean, Kawakubo played Hanji Zoe dirty, in my opinion, in this scenario.

If Hanji had noticed that important information, and if that info had been shared with the Survey Corps, as was natural for her character to do, "the Alliance" may have had been able to act sooner against the AT.

Now, would more prep time save the world from devastation? No, I don't believe so. I believe it would, instead, make them have a slightly more realistic last fight by a) having them recruit actual soldiers and weapons for the final showdown, heck, if they have enough time even other countries would chime in, vs Hallu-chan and the Attach Titan; and, therefore, b) not having them rely on a Deus Ex Machina to defeat Eren.

That way, Hanji would live on with regret, knowing the Alliance did everything in their power to defeat the Attack Titan but failed miserably in the end. Instead of having her smile as her ghost-self at whatever the hell the canon battle achieved, she'd mourn the world that's been lost, and she'd feel regret for not being able to save it.

Now, for Levi I haven't done a thorough analysis yet, but I believe it's not difficult to see why humanity's strongest soldier would survive this ordain. I'd really like to hear someone else's thoughts on that matter.

Also, I'm in no way trying to imply LeviHan was supposed to be part of a kino ending, but I'm not too into that ship so I'd like to hear someone else's thoughts about it and on why they were the only two members of the alliance to survive according to WIT Studio's AnR official art.

Now, onto the second part of "who survived the Rumbling?". The next piece of information contradicts previous statements, and it also contradicts an AnR ending to some extent, but bare with me, please.

Exhibit A, Mikasa and Armin should have survived:

However, for Kruger's prophecy to succeed, I stand by my previous statement that "the Alliance" should've acted sooner, and that Armin is part of the Internationalist faction ready to "save humanity". Why do I believe that? It's easy, first, let's remember this quote from the moment Erwin died:

Note how, not only does Eren say Armin will save the humans, he also implies Mikasa will know it'll happen (so she'll be alive by the time the battle ends).

And, piggybacking on that moment as well, Armin would've been able to use his intellect to make a plan to divert the Rumbling titans. I'm adding this here to stress something that can't be stressed enough: Armin shouldn't have had to fistfight Eren twice, and he shouldn't have had to steal someone else's kill. Now onto that kill...

Should Mikasa have been the one to deal Eren's final blow? In the canon version of the story it's shown, in a rather cringy way, how she has to make up a whole different scenario inside her mind to get the mental strength to kill him. To me, Mikasa instead should've used the devastation caused by the Rumbling to completely break away from Eren's character and to be able to see past the "you're being brainwashed" narrative. Now, besides some of Isayama's interviews, there's other proof to back this up: the Historia-Mikasa parallels in Ending 4 and Ending 1:

We see some petty similarities in both: how both girls seem to be inside a pond or a lake, a snip of them running when they were young, etc.; but we also see some more important things for this theory: their growth as a person (how they survived whatever the past cast upon them), and them catching up to the people who they look up to and love.

Now, two things we know about Historia are that her beloved Ymir left her and she had to learn to accept it and move on; and that her sister, Frieda, died and she, without initially knowing even that she'd lost her, had to learn how to live on her own when she was young. Would Mikasa and Eren be able to have an end like that? I think it was implied that it was possible, but other than that, as part of any healthy development of her character, it is important for her to move on just as the Eldian Queen did: even if Eren chose to live a life apart from her (like Ymir did to Historia's early knowledge) or even if he were to die (like Frieda did).

Also, I have some doubts about Mikasa being the one who was supposed to kill Eren, since the one who was foreshadowed to be a Helos' parallel, and who'd fit the role just as well is Reiner, but I won't discuss that here.

So, to me, Mikasa was never an Internationalist, but for the sake of her character, a break-away from Eren should've been a good conclusive act.

As to some other parallels between Mikasa and Historia we have this part:

In which it is implied that they share the same burden by birth, and the same destiny, possibly. Mikasa is shown to be embarrassed about it but Historia seems to be thoroughly delighted.

With this parallel I'd also like to recall two other threads left undone: the Azumabito clan and the Ackerman mystery.

First, the Azumabitos. It's implied that their land is to "the Orient", and we also get a small snip during the Rumbling which implies they have a coast (it's obvious their country is a direct reference to Japan, needless to say). All of which would imply that, as it does in the Real World ™️, Hizuru is almost the Eastern-most Nation of AoT's world as well, and therefore, it may be one of the last countries that the Rumbling would have reached. If you add that they were the first people to send an ambassador to Paradis, you get: Hizuru being the first nation to be included in a possible Internationalist "Alliance" (had it been done in the appropriate time) against the Attack Titan; and you also get that this would increase their possibilities of surviving, at least just in part, the Rumbling.

Why is this important? Because AnR's lyrics do not imply the world will be completely and absolutely obliterated. AnR's lyrics imply the world will live on but the power dynamic of the world will be reversed: Paradis will rule, while the rest will be forced inside the cage.

Now, the Ackermans. Just as Historia and Zeke posses a special particularity by virtue of birth (they are direct descendants of Ymir), which make them valuable assets to "breed" for whoever is using the Eldians (be it Marley, the Azumabitos, or the First King), I believe the outside world would be interested, at any part of the story, to have an Ackerman in their line of defense against the Eldians. In this case the Mikasa-Historia parallel is strengthened, simply because it would be interesting to see Levi or Mikasa confront that part of their destiny (to make the Ackerman clan continue for the sake of a plan, while acknowledging they're the only survivors). Perhaps Hizuru would've been the country to try and make use of that potential? This parallel was, of course, never used, but it would've been delightful to see it exploited at some point in the AoT timeline. However I acknowledge that continuity is impossible in a world without titans, unless one of the surviving countries on Earth are in serious need of Olympic competitors, of course, so perhaps it should've been mentioned before The Rumbling arc.

Well, this turned out to be more like a vent or a rant than a theory now, and I wish I could've had discussed it quietly with someone instead of just posting it here. There are some other nuances to this analysis that I would like to explore in the future (since this isn't thoroughly thought out) In the meantime what do you all think of a new AnR theory like this one? 1. They are starting to market season 2 of Walker in Hiatus. That really doesn't happen. That means they know they need to target new viewers. They are acknowledging they have a problem. The main problem is Jared either didn't learn enough about production quality on SPN (Jensen/Misha were both more interested in behind the camera's) or that he thought he could stick a Stetson on and we all had such sh1t for brains we'd watch anything. So they need a viewer boost DESPARATELY and are going all out to (a) persuade Walkers remaining viewer(s) that it's worth sticking around and (b) get back old viewers or convert 1m+ viewers to season 2. So now we see all the cast (and Keegan has more followers than Jared and Lindsay has a VERY engaged following) trying to persuade their followers how fabulous Walker is. Expect this scrabbling to continue if they want their COVID paychecks.

2. Connected to 1, Jared has started trying to break out of the fandom bubble. I don't think he's trying for power couple (the clue in a power couple is that two FAMOUS people get together and create a super brand, here we have one niche C famous guy and a hanger on wife), I think we are in Jared profile raising and trying to raise his recognition score, which is probably a little low having half assed it in the last year and a half. He's doing it by scatter-gunning so I'm not sure it's going to stick.

3. Connected to 2,

(i) if I run my algorithm clean laptop with a "Jared Padalecki" news search, I get (a) a daily mail article on Jared "clarifying the rift" (b) a "hello" magazine saying he's been "inundated with support after death of "family member"" (c) the new york times article on Walker and Supernatural. It then goes into a variety of articles about Jared raising money for Holly's family (fucking atrocious in my view to use her death for publicity) and a series of derivative articles on his mantrum and later explanation. ONLY THE NEW YORK TIMES ARTICLE MENTIONS WALKER other than as a throw away, all of the others link to Supernatural only. Walker isn't on the main radar of anyone as a show. It's not mainstream enough to mention. it has ZERO buzz.

(ii) if I run the same search on my compromised tablet, I get a SEA of fluff articles "jared padalecki goes to venice", "jared padalecki's wife wishes him a happy birthday" "jared padalecki goes to watch soccer" "jared padalecki goes to the wrestling". I'm expecting "Jared Padalecki defecates regularly" tomorrow.

At the end of that I get the same articles as in (i) but the majority of his publicity is still going through the fandom and the, not very viewed, endless zine type websites that update on every episode of every geek show every day.

So we are seeing, and I expect it to continue, a break out Padalecki, (who knows he and his forehead may wish to have a final crack at films), and a fluff Padalecki, trying to stay relevant a year after SPN relevance ended, because he hasn't got the same push for season 2 of Walker as he had for season 1 and Walker has zero presence. No one, not even the fans are talking about Walker.

Will it work? I don't think so. Keegan has 7m followers on Insta and that's because he's a photographer and writer and it's interesting. I would follow his account (I don't), but certainly it isn't a Walker instagram.

Jared is a clever guy, but he's boring on social media. He has a limited appeal. He does family snaps, hunk snaps, flogs orange pee and flogs his show. He says "family" and "mantra" a lot but that's really it. The clue is, if you didn't know who he was and came across his instagram you wouldn't follow him. Why would you? For a video of a guy running up steps? A smug picture of two middle aged men trying to flog you something?... (oh and lots of "brother" comments on Keegan's social media, which is irritating. It's like he thinks that is his repeatable formula and it isn't).

His media approach won't work because advertising and exposure pushes a product. In TV's case, it's not a one off product and there is a lot of competition. Product Jared needs to be more interesting (his mantrum's are the only exciting thing about him - and that is tragic) and his TV show just needs to be BETTER, well, a LOT BETTER.

Soooo, expect the Padapush to continue, but it's not about a couple, it's about individual marketing and for Jared breaking out of SPN bubble. For Gen, it's her tag along profile that she'll never break out of. She'll have to be satisfied with her superpower of being able to persuade people to buy toothbrush's and dog food (if she can).

Expect though the couple's bit to die off a little. Jared is getting over exposed. His engagement rating is plummeting (nearly 3% is a plummet) because of the repetitive photo content. He'll have to back off or people will switch off (I have already). What makes me laugh is.... from the dawn of time when cavemen took their wives 2 miles away for a new cave weekend.... NO ONE HAS EVER BEEN INTERESTED IN SOMEONE ELSE'S HOLIDAY SNAPS.... Gen and Jared apparently need to learn that lesson...

I might stop these posts now because, well, it's gotta be a bit boring for you and I write LONG. :)

I started following Lindsey on IG because she seems pretty genuine, and her cat is way too cute! Plus, I like her attitude. I haven’t followed her for the whole Walker season, but even she doesn’t post a lot about it. She posts interviews and then posts about that night’s episode, but other than that, nothing.  Can’t speak for Keegan, but how are fans and non-fans supposed to be excited about a show when the people STARRING in the show can’t be bothered? Maybe they’re all aware of how shitty it is or maybe they’re lazy, but it doesn’t make sense. 

I’m always interested to see the difference in an “algorithm-free” setting and one that has an algorithm. I always figured Google was the same for everyone, but seeing the difference in articles you’ve outlined is insane. It really just goes to show that Jared isn’t the star that his stans think he is. He’s not as important as they think he is, he’s just an actor.  It’s even more jarring to see just how little Walker is talked about at all. All of my devices probably have been “contaminated” when it comes to algorithm so I can’t really speak personally about the public and fans talking about Walker or not talking about it. I can say that on the posts about Walker from the Supernatural Facebook page, a good chunk of the comments are people saying they stopped watching, never got into it, or thought it was trash. There are only a handful of comments talking about how they enjoy the show. 

I think it was disgusting for him to use a fan’s passing for publicity. And no, I don’t think it was anything other than a PR stunt. Her family had a GFM going that was promoted by plenty of the case INCLUDING GEN, so you know he knew about it. But for him to make his own special one and then have articles posted everywhere about how charitable he is? That’s gross PR bullshit and I hope it backfires. 

I still follow a few Supernatural fans, Jared fans, Jensen fans, etc. on Tumblr and even they aren’t mentioning it. I think maybe the hardcore Jared stans post gifsets or whatever, but I don’t see much praise for the show itself, just Jared’s looks. Even the fans aren’t biting and that would make me reevaluate everything if I was Jared.

who knows he and his forehead may wish to have a final crack at films You are on a ROLL!  Maybe I’ve become biased, but I can’t see Jared doing films. I mean, I could see him doing like a side character role or something small, but I can’t see him having a big part of a movie. Like I said, maybe that’s me being biased but I see him staying in TV. I could be proven wrong, but I don’t know. 

I agree about Jared being boring on SM. I used to get some giggles from his Twitter posts and even some of his early IG posts because they were goofy, clever, and candid. It showed his humor and was more personable. Now it’s just all fake and comes off as someone whose only motivation to engage with fans is money and that’s a big turn off. 

For me personally, I think that if instead of the “couple goals” bullshit that they try to push for their lavish trips, if they just posted cool pictures they took of different locations, activities, food or whatever, that would be more palatable than all the “Look at my hubster and I! We’re in Italy! Look at how in love we are!” But maybe that’s because I’ve become a bit of a photography nerd? 

I guess time will tell whether or not Jared will make positive changes and if Walker can be saved, but I’m not really optimistic about it.
