There’s one thing that consistently showed up in my work as a software engineer over the decades. Spaghetti.
Spaghetti code is easier to write than maintain, and in doing software archaeology (yes, it’s a thing), I’ve encountered numerous reasons for it. Requirements creep is one of the largest reasons.

The three queens of FromSoftware games and why they are my favorite games of all time (also my transition goals). Malenia was a dream I always had as a kid of the perfect character, Maria of the Astral Clocktower was the inspiration for my darling OC, Petra Naverrian, and Sister Friede was my favorite boss fight in my favorite game of the three. And I will ALWAYS have a deep obsession and place in my heart for these three.

Ok, I couldn't help but notice the few similarities between the boss Malenia and the Butterfly Set from DS2. Both have something to do with butterflies and poison (or rot).
What does it mean? Probably nothing at all. Maybe From just likes to put butterflies and poison together? Or maybe just a coincidence.
