I know Bully doesn’t have the most accurate adherence to reality. But I just know that the school’s budget was fucked at the end of the game.

I was watching a video of Miss Danvers’s pa announcements, so I can write her character better. She says the school doesn’t have the budget to treat all the students who have pneumonia. So the budget is already shit. I can just imagine Crabblesnitch and the faculty having a meeting discussing the budget and what needs to be done for the new school year.

I think the list would like a little like this:

Hire a new gym teacher who isn’t a pedophile

Hire a new maths teacher who isn’t a dick and doesn’t take bribes

Try and appease the prep’s parents if they have any issues

Probably hire an additional cook (also just clean up the kitchens in general)

Fix up the gym and buy new gym equipment

Fix the girls dorms

Fix the library and buy new books

Just buy new chairs and tables all together

Check what the fuck is going on with Dr Slawter

Check whatever the hell was going on the at the observatory and if the nerds truly did build a spud canon

Stop the nerds from building weaponry

Then maybe fix up the observatory

Fix the bell tower

Get new scaffolding for the bell tower

Make sure students cannot climb the scaffolding and get onto the roof (also make sure students cannot fall from said scaffolding)

Fix the skylight in Dr Crabblesnitch’s study

Check if the hobo is still on school grounds

Also with how big the riot was and involved a bunch of rich students, whose parents were making contributions to the school, like Derby’s father. Imagine a superintendent showing up being like: “What do you mean the students built a flow blown spud canon?” “What is wrong with the school secretary?” “How on Earth did a student take over the school, lock the gates and orchestrate a riot, including tying up and holding the principal hostage?!” “Why were two students fighting on the roof?!”

“My place at your feet, catering to your every fucking whim?” Henry’s voice rises. He feels it and can’t do anything to stop it. His stomach hurts. It always hurts.

Hans’s face hurts to look at. The same expression as when Henry lead him to the bed. Slightly in awe, in shock, in love.

“Your place with me,” he says. “With me.”

Henry reaches for him. Just a hand on his upper arm, a chaste touch, but still it raises goosebumps that are almost painful. His pourpoint is too thick to feel the warmth of his skin through and yet Henry can still feel it, as though the memory of that night has imprinted itself upon them both, permanently. And this little touch does nothing to sate him. He can feel the echo of Hans’s skin between his teeth and knows only this again, only this will stop the ache in his belly.

“I am with you,” he says, but even to his own ears it sounds flimsy, weak with hunger.

Hans shrugs out of his grasp.

There is a hunger now more powerful than the hunger he felt at Suchdol, a hunger he can’t satisfy with food or drink. He can no longer separate it from the need he felt that night.

Friendly reminder; if you are trying to get art commissions, this is not how you do it. Do not go onto a persons fanfic and make them feel good about their story only to come back and say "this will be a paid partnership."

I am writing this story for free I am not asking you to create art for my story. If you want to create art for a story of mine, you have permission. But if you're trying to get someone to pay you to make art for their story that they are already putting in free labor and time into, this is not how you do it.

Now, if I approach an artist and ask them to create art, then yes, I am absolutely going to pay for it. I'm the one asking for that art piece based on my works.

Getting real tired of some critics of Mouthwashing acting like Anya is the least fleshed out/least active character. Outside of Jimmy, she is the most active character. (and that's excluding how many of her ideas and actions directly influence Jimmy's, such as getting the extra painkillers.)

You can have your gripes and grievances abt how horror can overly rely on sexual violence in general, but I'm baffled that there seems to be some sort of consensus that there is no way you could ever do it well. That because it's overdone, no one can attempt to say something with these themes in the horror genre and it ever be meaningful. (DESPITE the fact that Mouthwashing is like, achingly aware of this. Half of the commentary in the game, the nail in the coffin, is peeling back the veneer of Jimmy's POV and assumed impartiality to show how his perception of the people around him don't fit into the boxes he's shoved them into.) That's not cope or making the game more complicated than it actually is (and even if it was, I kindly direct you to the actual definition of the concept of Death of the Author), the co-director basically says as much in an interview she did.

Also, I respect a take on Mouthwashing that claims general disinterest in seeing these themes trod out again in any context, infinitely more than one that claims the game just uncritically engages with these themes. And also takes that straight up lie about Anya as a character. Next you're going to be telling me you'd prefer if the game was about a young witch in the Alps.

Had the strangest dream ( nightmare?) last night. It was Hamlet and he got back from that journey to England where he was kidnapped by the pirates but...he was not unharmed. He was there standing with Lavinia's faith thrusted upon him. He kept wandering the graveyard and the gravediggers ran away as they saw him. He stood frozen, staring inside a grave at the skull that was once his dear Yorick, shaking like a leaf and he started to trash around in a sorta agonizing frustrated dance. That was how Horatio found him. He looked upon him as he moved like a tree in the wind and asked

"Who is this? My sweet prince, that flies away so fast?"

And he approached him in the most gentle manner almost sobbing as he continued

"Speak, gentle prince. What stern ungentle hands hath lopped and hewed and made thy body bare?

Of his two branches, those sweet ornaments

Whose circling shadows I have sought to sleep in? "

He tried to reach for Hamlet but he shied away. " Why dost not speak to me?" Horatio almost screamed frustrated and crying. Hamlet stilled and tensed as if wanting to unleash a scream of his own but when his lips parted in his silent scream it was blood that poured out.

Some of it flying in the wind and staining his once dear friend's bones and then he finally fell to his knees.
