Hollyleaf was a selfish coward and an idiot. On her way to kill Ashfur, she literally had some internal dialogue like "I CAN'T let him ruin my chance to leave my pawprint on the Clans." and then proceeded to cause one of the worst issues in the series just because she couldn't handle even a risk of anyone knowing she's not a precious pureblooded ThunderClan cat. She deserved the death she got.

i just. hit s+ rank in splatoon and i never honestly thought this would happen?? am i cool now.. do i get to be a part of the s4? do i get to be watered down to my running joke all the time?

#the last part is a joke but i do not see a whole lot of recognition of the s4 being. the s4 #like yeah they were cool formidable foes in the s1 era and skull even beat goggles despite his plot armor #but now theyre just #there??#dont get me wrong i love their existence but #it feels like theyve been watered down at least a bit #skull is always just getting lost and army is almost always either the manual guy or the curry guy #thats. thats it thats their bits #skull also has the sweets thing #rider is sometimes a considerable foe too but at the same time the s4 doesnt usually consist of him so im not sure how much to count him #that being said it is a kids manga so i dont really expect it to lean too far into the formidable foes thing #even the xblood werent that scary in the long run and ended up goofy despite being who they were #i also get it in terms of fandom #i understand the appeal of something like aloha being cutesy dumb pink guy (who maaaaaaybe commited some crimes and it shows)#i also definitely understand the appeal of army having a thing for curry as well as the manuals #the manuals can be an endearing thing to write about trust me #but i also wouldnt mind seeing more things that center around the likes of the s4 and the xblood and even the best8 being the absolute best #of the best during their prime #reminder that s+ was the highest rank around when the s4 were introduced. same with the xblood #they were the strongest players and id like to see things that center around that #id like to imagine that moving on to the square and splatsville that the s4 would have had a chance to move uo and get into xbattles #i think of all of them skull and army would have the highest chances of actually making it to xrank and being successful #but honestly if mask and aloha could probably make it pretty well too if they got off their asses #and i think rider would excel as well being rider #he has his own kind of near plot armour i think #so do most of the big teams in my opinion #theyre the sort of doomed by the plot that forces them to battle goggles at some point lmao #maybe i could use this in a fic or au one day #maybe someone already has...#(please send to me if you know of any creators who have played around with these vague ideas of strength i wanna see em)

one of the lesser talked about fun things about intentionally reading more books is finding new stuff to be a bit of a hater about tbh

#and i know sometimes im probably just not properly picking up whatever the writer is putting down but whatever it's still fun #to actually know what you think about stuff like the highly regarded classics and extremely popular hyped up things #here are a few writers im a bit of a hater about w my opinions now btw #neil gaiman: does not do it for me at alllll #have read the graveyard book and american gods and hated almost every minute of both #in american gods i just found the aesthetic ideas and characters completely unappealing and in the graveyard book #i thought it was dreary and not well described enough... kept feeling like it was too bare bones in some way to picture things properly #i was like 'hmm i wish this was one of his graphic novels instead bc i'd like to be able to see what's going on here a bit better...'#also his humour just never lands for me and i do not often get his references either #ray bradbury annoys me in a similar way to neil gaiman but also somewhat oppositely like where #the way they write characters and plots and ideas and the stuff they care about gets on my nerves in an almost identical way #that i don't know how to define except to say i had a bit of a 'same energy' experience reading Something Wicked This Way Comes #and some of neil gaiman's stuff #but unlike neil gaiman i think that ray bradbury attempts to describe things unusually so much and TOO much #to the point that it takes me out of the story in a different yet similar way #to how the lack of description in neil gaiman's stuff does #what else have i become a bit of a hater about or did not get the appeal of lately? hmmm #oh hp lovecraft hahahaha #least scary stories ever god everything he's scared of is so dumb #like even aside from his extremely racist takes and fear of the 'exotic other' his fears about being cosmically insignificant are just like #yeah and? whats so scary about that hahaha i literally just dont get it #also the amount he writes dialogue in heavy accents annoys the shit out of me #p

i am so apathetic to popular male transformers characters, but i have a simple trick to make me care abt them: i turn them into robot women then i suddenly start seeing their appeal

#like the appeal of Evil Polycule usually to me is that Jon is actually just kinda left alone and gets to simply be *witness* to the horrors #- but then I see stuff that reminds me of OG villain Tim who was an asshole and I get nostalgic for it. also you’re throwing evil *butler*#- into the mix who has an actually pretty fair reason to hold a grudge against Jon.#Jon’s assistance and place at their side (at their feet) being treated more as an outstanding debt that Tim constantly holds over his head #- with no real goal in mind. he just likes having power over someone after being rendered powerless so many times in his own life #it’s all amusing to him. it’s a game. Jon breaks up the routine of his climb to power by being terrified of everything and everyone and so #- so easy to manipulate to his will.#(Butler has complicated feelings about the entire situation but he also will not lie there is an appeal to having power over the man who #- once had him shot dead. hell. I like Viv as an artist, shes inspired me since frickin middleschool with her animations, character designs, and now 2 shows holy crap. I just really wish she'd get off social media for her own mental health cuz good god it's not great to see a whole thread of tweets arguing with someone about the dislike of fanfiction having homophobic undertones its just... agdhdh Viv is a pretty controversial person due to unfortunate past events and having shows that present some darker subject matter. Honestly? I want to see Viv not just move past the previous controversy, but learn from it to be better. Its totally fair tho if you think the handling of certain topics arent done well, there are things people will have preference over. And I dont give a fuck about shipping, I dont wanna see it, frankly. If you're doin somethin shady with it and I see it I'm certainly not going to like it and I'll do my best to not interact with you, but I think we should make tagging things just a common thing? Keeps things organized and people can intake what they want while the stuff they dont want is not being shown to them. Same goes with headcanons they're someone imagining something, they arent holding the creators hostage to make it canon. Canon is silly anyways! Both the OG and a headcanon can exist because AUs and headcanons are just another version of the thing. Headcanons arent going to change the episodes, they'll still be the same way the creators made it. So like... chill.

Just as long as it has no mental or physical negative implications or intent against actual living people I will add.

Dont harrass actors because they play a villian you need to separate fiction and reality it's literally their job to pretend to be someone else.
