Was there anything more interesting that came from the famous Sony leak? I read the BBG master post you recently shared and was glued to all the extra information I didn’t know! Made me wonder if anything else important came from the leak that might not involve bbg but the boys

That masterpost is crazy, isn’t it? When you see it all laid out, it’s ridiculous that anyone thinks that baby is his.

Anyway, I don’t think I was very active when that leak happened, and I don’t have any posts on it for some reason.

Does anyone else have any info for this anon?

It’s kinda ironic how Nintendo Decided to work with Sony On the Zelda movie, especially before that and the production of Illumination’s Mario Movie, they were reportedly working with Sony Pictures Animation To Create A Mario Movie but was cancelled due to unknown reasons with something thinking it was because of the Sony Leak of 2014.

Along the lines of the sexualization of the 1D members, why do you think Louis and Niall were less sexualized than the other 3? I’m not disagreeing at all, just wondering why that would have been the PR strategy for them in particular?

Hi, anon! To be honest, I don't think the marketing itself was focused on who they would sexualize more or less, I think it was more about the "personas" that were first created for them and what that ended leading up to, mixed with their actual personalities and they were deciding to show on camera. So I think it was a number of different reasons. With Niall, he was huge in America and Asia, all the girls wanted to date him, but I think he always filled the place of being super cute and sweet and goofy as opposed to being hot and sexy. You know!? While Harry, Zayn and Liam were always being flirty, mysterious and sexy in their own individual ways. Even if we're talking about photoshoots, music videos, the movie/1D day... it was always the three of them being sexier, showing up shirtless, working out, etc etc.

While Louis, I mean... he was just unavailable from day one, wasn't he?! He was funny, the oldest, "but I hear he has a supermodel girlfriend so I have no chance". That's a very clear message. And as he got older he had so many issues with his voice, with performing and with losing confidence. So I don't think there was much space for him to be sexualized and "available" like the others, he had a lot going on. When he first got single and started to go clubbing and we started getting pictures of him with girls... lol omg that was mindblowing, so weird!

Some leaked the entire plot and even part of the script of the last Star Wars movie and no one was sued. Although it was one of the most guarded movie sets in US. It's really not how some people make you believe it is. No one goes to jail over spilling the beans esp on anon much less spilling it to relatives and friends. If the NDAs were as scary as you think they are - no one would even work as crew for the amount some pay us. Its not like they'd put the FBI on you unless copyrights

“Leaks” and “hacks” were once a real guerilla marketing technique, that has now become a common strategy in every section of the entertainment industry.

They’re used for testing new products with an audience to see if the direction they’re going is working, adjust scripts or plots, and will overall drum up attention for an upcoming project/release because nothing makes us more curious than a “leak” or a “hack”.
