Arriving to New York was no issue. Just hopping through a simple portal was enough. The real challenge was finding the mortal she was assigned.

The portal had led Sarai into a wide space called Central Park, supposedly where her person would be. She looked around and could only see many people and their dogs running about.

Then she spotted her. The mortal that looked very familiar, though she had only ever studied her image once in the file she was handed. Disguised as a human woman, she walked to the mortal sitting on the bench, remembering all that Emily had told her before as she tried to appear affable.

Suddenly, a gigantic mass of fur leapt at her. Sarai immediately lost her disguise, wings and halo out, hoping to scare off the creature that attacked on her.
