Share some personal wisdom or a life hack you swear on: soak cotton balls in minty listerine and apply them to bug bites -- it gets rid of the itch almost immediately.

Share something that has been on your heart and mind lately: Ugh, everything? My family is really going through it right now. There isn't much work, Disney is withholding residuals, the foundation in our basement sprung a leak in my office to the tune of $8k that homeowners won't cover, family members are going through major health scares, you name it, it's happening to us. Life right now is Not Good. And it's all weighing on me.

So, do we think they're going to film the concert? I'm like 80% they will

Don't get me wrong I would LOVE them to film the show, I just think there's very little precedent for them filming their one off performances... the only ones I can think of them filming are Homecoming and AVSR which both feel like special cases?

Plus I reckon we would have heard if they were doing digital tickets by now

Idk maybe I'm wrong but I would work on the assumption that they'll allow the audience to film the show but won't be professionally recording anything themselves (so team effort in getting lots of footage uploaded to youtube pls)

It is crazy, like, I know a person who was a journalist during the dictatorship, he was arrested for being too nosy and confrontational, he literally saw people he knew getting tortured and killed, the only reason they spared him was because the people doing the selecting were literally his coworkers at the newspaper. That newspaper is one of the biggest in the country, but only NOW did they unveil just the extent of how much they were financing the dictatorship.

How with all of this, can people just read ONE big news source and accept anything it prints. News sources absolutely have their own interests, you can't read ONE ant take it for the whole truth. How many news sources have interest in keeping a genocidal apartheid state remaining in power? We don't know, we might never know. Look at how long it took for us to find out about Folha de São Paulo!

I don't think I have ever wished I was dead as much as I do now. Or felt as dead as I feel now. I am just completely exhausted and run down and done with it all. I have wasted years of my life and tens of thousands of dollars on a degree to do a job that is sucking the life out of me. And ultimately, it's this damn OCD that's going to put me in my grave. I have basically given up. I don't think there's any coming back this time.

It is fuckin insane the sheer disregard everyone has for covid and how utterly bizarre it feels to be actively losing credibility in people's eyes just because I take it seriously. Everyone thinks I'm being "silly" but I literally was in the middle of getting a degree in microbiology when this shit started, I was literally taking immunology and virology courses when the pandemic hit, it's not like I have a poor understanding of the topic. I've been watching the death rate and keeping up with the new variants and vaccines and symptoms and I can bring up all the sources I want but it feels useless, nobody wants to hear it, nobody gives a shit.

fellas, the holidays get colder every year

kind of bummed about the release of Fashion Dreamer in Nov...

i mean, i’m excited to play it but...

my best friend loved these games and they were also in a really really bad place for a long time

sometimes it felt like the only way i could keep them in this world was to talk about how this game was going to get released soon and they wouldnt want to miss it

and it worked for years, despite both of us starting to wonder if it wasnt just some unverified rumor

that friend passed last year. officially it wasnt suicide but...stopping taking care of yourself when you know what the outcome will be is pretty close, i think

had they made it just one more year they couldve gotten to play the game they had been looking forward to for years...even if they were only looking forward to it for my sake

im seeing very little coverage (at least on here) about how moo dengs popularity on the internet is leading to her being harassed at the zoo as well as how the khao kheow open zoo has a history of multiple cases of animal abuse for sake of entertainment (tw for the last link specifically- its a video that begins with a few seconds of moo dengs image but shows a baby elephant being stabbed & swat with a stick by a keeper for ‘discipline’).

while im glad that moo deng IS bringing awareness & a new love for pigmy hippos (which have a dwindling suggested 2000-3000 number population in the wild), i think we should also take into account that not all zoos/animal sanctuaries take the best interests of the animals they are supposed to care for to heart- especially ones that put more of a focus on entertaining tourists than caring for their animals.
