This is Zu—I mean, Jian Li and Katara's second meeting in the Kyoshi Warriors AU. The first proper one, anyway.

Once they get through a minor difference of opinion or two (“I can carry my own basket!” “Never said you—” “I'm not weak!” “I didn't—” “Just because I'm a girl doesn't mean—” “Would you listen for once, woman?!” ) they'll become nearly inseparable.

For now Jian Li will carry Katara's basket all the way to the Kyoshi Warriors' dojo and, once there, they'll mercilessly tease Sokka when they see him in uniform.

it's actually insane to me how many rvb fans have only gotten into the show in the past like 2 years. looking at the survey results so far is breaking my brain i think because 2022-2024 is in the top three for that question currently. like between zero/family shatters and restoration there was practically NOTHING happening with the series what do you mean this many people STARTED watching it then?? also i see so many people on my dash who are like "watching for the first time i'm on season 6 teehee" HELLO?? should-should i tag for spoilers on my rvb posts??

Okay so like if Noir's universe in the movie is seemingly completely monochrome greyscale, do you think that they have their own naming conventions for all the different values? Being that it's literally their only frame of reference for the world, I think they'd get pretty specific in what they call all the different greys like we do for the chromatic scale. It'd confuse the fuck out of the other spiders too lol, they're used to Noir getting confused by color names but then get utterly baffled themselves when they show him an old b&w photograph and he calls all the tints and shades by names they've never heard of before.

Also with his world being monochrome I'd imagine the people there are REALLY good at separating values that others with color vision might not be able to differentiate. I HC his night vision is way better than most other spiderpeoples too,, while most outsiders wouldn't be able to make out much in the dramatic black shadowing of his universe, to him he could pick out the subtle dark greys that lay within it.
