I've made a transparent template on the symbols of the book Lesley gave yellow, including separate images for individual symbols. The colours are mainly used to differentiate each symbol.

i want to note that the long yellow line on the top left and under the red symbol seems to appear only on the book itself. It's possible that it was a style choice to fill up space. the blue symbol has three different circles in appears other than the book, where the green symbol's square takes it's place. Also likely a style choice.

9.) Worst part of canon?

I don't think it's the worst, but I really hate - and this is for stories in general - the fact that they didn't give us more backstory for the teachers, like- I get they wanted them to be open for interpretation but I still wanted to know why they were doing this to the main trio? What lead them to be there? did they used to be people before entering the show or where they always like this?

That's the questions I make myself whenever I see the web/Tv series again. I hate the fact that they don't give us something else to make the character feel more fleshy, that's why, whenever I make a new AU about DHMIS I try to give motivations, lives before the show, anything to make then feel more real.

I don't know if this happens to anyone else, but I really appreciate more a character if they have something as to why they are like that, something so I can see if I can fully hate them or like them for their actions. Something that can make me understand them and the person they are today.

10.) Worst part of fanon?

I think this is just me but I really dislike when a character is too far away from the source material, like- instead of a version of this character you literally just made an oc out of this character, I don't know if I made myself clear here, but I tried.

Personal opinion on DHMIS?

well my first encounter wasn't that great since it was the gijinka tony the clock x sketchbook ship (it was really cringe to me then and still is now, But no hate to anyone who liked it. you do you). It lead me to believe that the show was just more tumblr sexy man/woman cringe. but eventually i got curious about the source marital and decided to give the web series a chance. Much to my surprise the clock and sketchbook weren't really important character they just one characters. the show creeped me out at first but not to much since I was already watching happy tree friends at the time so surprise gore didn't bug me to much. I love the main characters their all rather charming and i'm glad it got its own tv show with a bigger budget. The humour is spot on and I like mystery aspect of the show.

sidenote little theory ramble:

I have my theories about yellow guy/david (thats probably his really name.) I think that yellow is a puppet clone of Lesley real son David who die in that car accident in Mulhoven. Lesley and david maybe moved there after she divorced Roy or another Idea I have is that Lesley is yellow guy/davids adoptive mother who took custody of Yellow/David after child service removed him Roy since he might have been abusive or neglect to Yellow/david. I'd write more on this theory some other time. one last thing is the coffin teacher point to Yellow when guessing which of the friends are dead, that and yellow has a David on his outfit.

Do you ever get irritated at the fact that people know you only for the DHMIS pilot?

Nah. I have a lot of other things going for me that I am known for elsewhere and am fulfilled by! I also have yknow, my askblog. People definitely know me for that here as well. My presence here is a tiny facet of my life at this point. At most with this blog specifically, I have to step back and remind myself that I’m like.. some weird puppet micro influencer and be careful about how I say things, which are more often than not, taken as gospel.

That’s what bothers me. Occasionally, people assume that I am *the* source on the pilot and everything I say is completely accurate. To be honest, I think the dhmis fandom is primarily a lot of excited kids who want more content because let’s face it, we don’t have a lot! That much I can understand and I tried to offer as comprehensive a look into it I could without pirating because I care about this series and want others to be able to enjoy it. So I don’t want to turn people away from interacting with me about it, because I *do* have a bit more knowledge than the average dhmis fan, but ppl need to realize I am only human, and I do not remember it well at this point (and for the most part, folks respect this!)

Fictgender: A umbrella term where your gender relates to being a fictive. The gender could be being the character, feeling as if your gender can’t be separated from your source, or any other thing relating to being a fictive. The suffix of this gender is -fictic, so you can be [character]fictic. This gender is to be used by fictives only.

Sourcegender: When ones gender is influenced by ones source to make ones own gender. This gender is ment for otherkin/fictionkin/kin, IRLs, and Systems (fictive, factives, etc).

Dhmisgender: a xenogender connected to the tv series Don’t Hug Me I’m Scared. One may feel that their gender is related to the show, one or more of the characters and/or concepts/storylines of the show, or they may feel that their gender is easiest to describe or picture in relation to the show. They may also try to incorporate it into their gender identity and/or presentation however they can. DHMIS was a tiny mini series held on YouTube, and made by British film-makers Rebecca Sloan and Joseph Pelling. It may also be a kingender for those who are kin to one or more of the characters from the show.
