Twilight Dunes

This was an image I made for an official Palworld art contest. I have no idea what my chances are of winning, but I did my best, using a lineless style I'm not used to working with.

As the title suggests, this focuses on the Twilight Dunes, an area of Palworld located near the center of the world map. Featured are a bunch of the Pals you can find in the area; I didn't include Lovander in the scene as it's only present at night.

Naturally, Anubis is a big focus here, as it not only has a big rock carving within the locale, but acts as an Alpha boss as well. The Pal itself is a personal favorite (though a few folks may think that's obvious); it's not only cute and cool, but in-game it's very handy to work with. A strong battle buddy as well as a handy base worker.

As a matter of fact...

This is a version of the image that only shows Anubis. It hits a little different, and admittedly this was what the original image idea was meant to be. But at the same time it makes the area seem nearly barren, and it doesn't reflect the game's array of creatures as well. Besides, you can't traverse Twilight Dunes without encountering a few Tocotoco.

... But I am NOT doing traditional art, outside of sketching bases for digital pieces, again!! The coloring process drove me crazy. PS: always color first, then outline in finalized black lines after.

Originally our little duck was in this drawing, but it looked horrible so I deleted him. But he will be my next case, so stay tuned!

Sparkit the Electric element Pal enter the Palword clowder. I think it's a cat, these Pokeclone games have some questionable combine creatures. If it's close enough it can join.

ok here are they. (making the pals less bootleggy a i guess or just a concept expansion)

a little adendum is that i like that the pals don't come with "stages" and this makes them much more like regular animals

Sparkit- It can read eletrical currents from objects and living creatures with it's senstive antenna hairs from extremely far. However it has no control over it's senses, and spends most of it's time extremely stressed, isolating itself from stimulus as much as possible

Daedream- It spreads it's sleep inducing smoke in several situations, capable of using it of foes and allies alike. If a person it really likes wears it's collar, it will hide in their shadow and behave like a turret.
