The timeline of Fairly OddParents is so confusing when you try to think about it for more than 10 seconds, so I made my own! I tried to space out things a little more, to allow for events to make a little more sense, as well as actually allowing the time and space for each one to happen. I only included SUPER major events, so apologies for leaving out a lot of little stuff.

This timeline is all headcanon, so feel free to ask for further clarification on certain parts! I'm more than happy to break it down further!

By the way, for anyone curious about the modern Fairly Oddparents Retrospective I mentioned last time. Yes, I'm still working on the analysis that explains the negative stigma of the modern seasons and era of The Fairly Oddparents (Seasons 9-10, Fairly Odder & A New Wish). I managed to boil it down to seven major components.

The seven components are Franchise Fatigue, Nostalgia/Recency Bias, The Scrappy Doo Effect, Scapegoat Psychology, Bad First Impressions & Trusting Them, The Power of Influencers, & The Bandwagon Effect.

However, these are only components that explain the everlasting disdain from the general audience. The actual show issue that spawns this negative stigma arrives from the show's fundamental premise changing in a direction that wasn't suited for inherently and without any proper accommodations for the new direction of the series, led into a poorly constructed humorous-based and semi-paced direction that offers very little substance to the story and is riddled with character flanderization and derailment.

I'm also planning to make a proper character analysis of Chloe Carmichael for what she is supposed to represent and her misery. Yes, despite the popular belief of content creators and people on online forums who claim Chloe is perfect. Chloe does have one element of her life that is crucial to understanding the integral themes of her character, motivation, and misery. No, this component of Chloe's Character doesn't arrive from her first appearance debut in The Big Fairly Share Scare, which most of her criticism stems from, which is a problem. As a result, it, unfortunately, makes Chloe appear flat without any meaningful substance, which personifies more of the already skewed negative perception of the "Mary-Sue" archetype the character is heavily associated with from the general and online media.

When I said I would make an in-depth analysis discussion about this topic, I meant it.

Did Cosmo and Wanda have a fairy Timmy back in the day? I hadn't watched A New Wish yet but iirc their relationship was strained by Timmy, I think because of the whole "no one aged for 50 years" thing in Timmy's Secret Wish. So would that mean Timmy messed up their marriage?

Yep! Timmy was Cosmo and Wanda's first fairy!

Cosmo and Wanda were newly weds with no support systems thus miserable enough to get their own fairy!

For the first few years, the three of them were perfect but Timmy overstayed his welcome, none of them wanting to lose this new family they created. Timmy used his magic to try and force a magic solution to make Cosmo and Wanda happy again, to varying levels of success.

New fairy management notices that Cosmo and Wanda seem to be getting more miserable despite having Timmy, so they get assigned a new fairy:

Chloe is here to fix all of Timmy's mistakes. But their happy little family isn't going to be separated so instead of being replaced, Timmy and Chloe end up as coworkers.

But even with two fairies, Cosmo and Wanda keep getting more miserable. With a fresh new set of eyes and someone to talk to, Timmy finally admits that the Fairywinkle-Cosmas might be better off without him since most of their conflict does seem to revolve around magic. So both Chloe and Timmy resign, erasing Cosmo's, Wanda's, Poof's Peri's and Sparky's memories of magic.

That day, the Fairywinkle-Cosma's pet goldfish, the one they got when they got their first house, dies. The whole family is very torn up about it, crying even though they don't know why they feel so strongly about losing this goldfish.

As for the whole 50 year time loop thing:

After granting that accidental wish, Timmy does not come clean about it for 50 years in fear of getting into trouble. A swap version of Timmy's Secret Wish does happen and undoes the time loop but yep, that wish absolutely contributed in the decline of their marriage. Not that Cosmo and Wanda would remember it anyways

She does! I've kept core parts of her personality, but retconned massive chunks of her history with Timmy.

Chloe never got fairies, and never shared them with Timmy. But she was his neighbor! They used to play a lot as children, but one day, Chloe wasn't allowed back at the Turner's house.

As a grownup, Chloe's a social worker! She's usually the Go-To person selected by the state to handle difficult public cases involving children. As in: cases involving celebrities, important figures, or the such where the child's identity is at risk to the public. She's an expert at keeping their life secret and away from social media.

Okay, so I actually drew the above image for an AU/Continuity Reboot of Fairly Oddparents that I’ve had for years and never had the courage to talk about because that’s not really a “show to have a fandom thing for”…BUT THIS IS TUMBLR AND LIFE IS FREE SO HERE WE GO—

Cosmo and Wanda are newlyweds. They each keep their last names because fairies don’t take each other’s last names when they get married. This is because fairies, as a culture, have a strong belief in autonomy.

They were slotted in for godkids before they got married, meaning they got assigned to separate kids. Luckily, Wanda’s goddaughter was moving into a new town, right next door to Cosmo’s godson…

Timmy’s the same: Negligent parents who hire an equally negligent babysitter, so he develops a rebellious spirit and a lack of responsibility. Cosmo acts as a better father—Giving him company and a good time, but also allowing him to mess up and learn from mistakes.

Sparky is a regular dog that Timmy owned before meeting Cosmo. His first wish was for Sparky to talk.

Chloe is a Little Miss Perfect in the making: her family’s expectations for her are too high, and she puts herself under a lot of pressure to help others because of it. Wanda teaches her to have a little more self-respect and say no.

Fairy birth isn’t banned, so Poof gets to have a normal childhood! He’s still a midway introduction, though. Also, fairies are born from flowers. None of that MPreg shit.

Vicky isn’t actually evil; She’s just a bitchy teen who’s only in it for the money. You know, like the first season?

Crocker dislikes Timmy and Chloe equally, and he has no connection to Sparky. He outright knows about Cosmo and Wanda, and we take his tragic backstory seriously. He really did dye his hair black and doesn’t need glasses. (I actually liked the live-action movies)

Crocker only owned Cosmo, and the incident where he lost him was what caused Wanda to steal Cosmo’s finals paper. (Best episode of the Sparky era!) After she gives it back, she wears her hair a little more down.

Chloe has her own friend group, made of Missy and Tootie. Missy is an emo girl, and Tootie is no longer portrayed as an antagonist. Trixie and Veronica, while initially the “mean girls”, become Chloe’s friends too. (Kinda like a Sanjay and Elmer relationship)

Tootie has a crush on Timmy, and Timmy initially has a crush on Trixie, but moves on. Veronica is a lesbian. But they’re all ten so they’re not smooching anyone

Golden Locks is there from the beginning. In comic book episodes, Chloe’s her sidekick.

Unwish Island is for everyone, and Poof and Foop don’t count as wishes.

Anything from Season 10-11 besides the existence of Chloe is not canon.

Oberon and Titania are canon. (Shadow Showdown is the best FOP thing.)

Jimmy-Timmy Power Hour and Nicktoons Unite are canon. (Because I love NU and Cindy and Timmy were the healthiest love interests for each other.)

In general, I want to talk more about episode “the terrible twosome”. After all, thanks to this episode, we were revealed many of Peri’s secret magical abilities that he can do WITHOUT a wand. So if someone needs it for a fanfic or comic, remember this episode.

Telekinesis:

Interesting. It turns out that sometimes magical power can just come from his hands without using a wand.

Lasers from the eyes

Wow I would love to see something like that in the new show (like Peri shooting lasers out of his eyes at Dale 🥰)

Creepy. Imagine that you just decided to look out the window while drinking tea and you see a huge baby trying to create an ice age on the entire Earth 💀

And after all this, they decided that the only way to bring Poof back to normal was to satisfy his sadistic desires by simply hurting his own father.WHAT

Man…. now I understand why fairies really didn't want more children. This phase at 2 years old turns them into psychopaths. Cosmo was really chaotic and strong in magic while his son is the same as him but multiplied in power several times.
