*covered in blood and foaming at the mouth* I’m not going to compare my art with other artists.
*Claws at a wall and chest* They worked very hard for their artstyle as have I.
*Falls to my knees crying* My artstyle is just as pretty as their art and change will come naturally

Help People - Speck R.
( June 29, 2023)
when I cook with my mother,
I hold the knife
She does the simmering.
I have to chop.
I’m more suited for this,
I tell myself.
A doctor’s job is to heal.
A doctor’s life is to perceive.
Perceive what to prescribe.
Prescribe what you need to heal.
Heal what you cannot afford.
But my hands were made to slice.
They are shaky, when I chop the onion.
I hold in helpless tears..
I fail to hold on.
A doctor’s job is to hold in
the tears of a system
as they fall through the cracks
until you’re far enough
that the ghosts cannot hear you weep.
But I cry too easily, My cracks show on my skin
on the x-rays
rooted deep in the bones I ‘forgot’ were broken.
I wanted to help people.
I’ve wanted to heal.
Be the type of person who is okay with sitting with the silence as it simmers quietly,
holding its hand.
Holding it together,
But I’m not suited for that,
at least that is what I tell myself.

I will never fucking be over Speck. We all watched the girl we spent 1.6 million words with, that we saw grow and fight and bleed and never give up, slowly and noticeably degrade and become a paranoid hollow shell of her former self. She slowly lost her ability to speak, read, write, comprehend words, or read body language, and everything she lost made her break down more with the realization. So many themes reached their peak, from Taylor's desire to throw herself away and burn up for a good cause, to her willingness to commit truly horrifying acts for the greater good, to her desire for everyone to just fucking band together and put aside their differences against a common foe. There's so many amazing moments like Lisa verbally eviscerating her, to the breakdown when she thinks she killed Dragon, to her handing Dinah the "I'm sorry" note before taking control of her. And I haven't even gotten into the ever increasing connection between her and her passenger and how damn well that was done, or the way her thoughts become shaky and unhinged, or the conversation at the end with Contessa, or the way Rachel steps into her radius because she trusts her, or Aisha singing the entire time and comforting Taylor as she unravels. I swear to god I barely covered half of what I love about Speck in this post, it has so much and it's the perfect ending to the such an interesting character and story. It's genuinely my favorite piece of writing ever, I have not once managed to read it without crying. She tries so fucking hard and in her infinite determination and disregard for herself she kills god. God it's so good.

I hope that the overall theme of lmk is not that you are either a “hero” or a “warrior” but that you will always naturally have a partner in some way.
You may never always be the hero, but that’s okay. You help someone else have that moment. You may never always be the Sun, but you look so pretty when you shine as the moon.
You are both chaos and order and you can’t force others to choose to be only one either.

Finally been able to take it easy a bit. Visiting the tanit camps after traveler and Jecht basically massacred the tribe and there’s a scholar there who paints a jarring picture to you.
He implies that all of the bodies were lying around bloodied and were basically decaying along with the desert and or starting to get eaten by animals and/or monsters located near the area.
He also says that he witnessed these remains being taken by what he believes to be some of the survivors who did escape and/or were just not there when Jecht and the traveler went through this bloodshed. That it was a very ominous thing to see.
And he said something very like almost made my skin crawl a bit. That whoever laid the tanit to waste (traveler doesn’t come clean that they contributed to this) may have just got rid of the last trace of believers the Goddess of Flowers may have had left in current modern Teyvat.
And I don’t know that was just so??? Like it hit way too hard for me.

Mari gets really sad and miserable one day (like, too sad to even be a prick to everyone,) and The Narrator dumps a load of confetti on top of him. It just, like. Explodes out of thin air. There is colourful paper and glitter absolutely everywhere. This glitter persists beyond resets and is one of the few permanent things to ever happen in the parable.
