Staring: Spencer Banks as Stephen
"Penda's Fen" is set in the English countryside and follows Stephen Franklin, a 17-year-old boy who is the son of a conservative clergyman. Stephen is a devout Christian and a fervent patriot, holding traditional views on religion and nationalism.
However, as the narrative unfolds, Stephen begins to experience a series of visions and encounters with supernatural beings that reflect pagan themes of transformation and rebirth that are key to Stephen's spiritual awakening and the realization of a more fluid and complex sense of identity, leading him to question everything he once held dear.
The most significant pagan symbol Stephen encounters is King Penda of Mercia, the last pagan king of England. His appearance to Stephen symbolizes a connection to a time before the imposition of Christian values and imperialism, suggesting a different, more earth-centered spirituality.
The film is imbued with the sense of the English landscape as a living entity, filled with ancient spirits and pagan significance. The land is portrayed as holding memories of its pagan past, contrasting with the rigid Christian doctrine Stephen initially adheres to.
I love The Bank Shot Job because you've got this big bad boss that nobody can stand up to until a group of thieves get caught in the middle of a bank robbery (that they had nothing to do with for once). Then, all they had to do was say a few choice phrases in front of the witnesses and suddenly ALL the witnesses are saying the big bad boss was responsible for the robbery, and that takes care of that.
It's always nice to see the little people finally stand up for themselves to get rid of their corrupt leaders.
JJ, who grips the youngest Pogue's hips as he slips past her in the kitchen, John B's death glare going unnoticed as JJ quite literally grinds on JB's little sister's ass.
you're so real for this boo
his large and greedy hands grab you by the hips, and though your front is right up against the counter, he tugs you slightly backwards so he can feel your ass fully brush against the semi hard on he's sporting inside his shorts. when he squeezes past you, he bites down on his lip as you come into contact with him. he has to shut his eyes, and john b's just trying to put a hex on him as he watches. but poor jj, he's so lost in his own world and in your body against his that he doesn't even notice.
send in requests for anyone from criminal minds, outerbanks, the bear, mcu, challengers, top gun, or hunger games but these are the main people I write for:
"Three foreign presidents choppered out of the city when they heard you were around" This is your daily reminder that Eliot is fucking terrifying sometimes
"Find a way to get her out of here!"
"With what?"
"You stole a Michelangelo with tin foil and chewing gum figure it out!"
Funny, and a nice little call back to season one.
And Parker driving:
It's got some fun bits amid the heaviness and the character growth.
