New spidersona alert!!

Introducing wren corigan, also known as the spiderfly!

He is 16 years old and uses he/they pronouns!

He was bitten by a genetically modified spiderfly/peacock jumping spider (curtesy of of their universes alchemax) which he caught and now keeps as a pet. He’s got 4 adopted siblings and one parent who somehow manages being a single parent of 5, a job that pays enough to do that, and being yet another spider person! Wren does not know that his parent is the spider person who took him under their wing when he started out, and his parent does not know that he’s also a spidy. He’s high energy and pretty forgetful. He has a lot of good tips for improving mental health that he forgets to use for himself.

He got wings from the spiderfly which he can shrivel up so they’re more capable of hiding them (see image three). He wears a oversized sweater and backpack to hide any extra bulk from the wings.

They will often zip in and wack enemies with their staff to knock them out and web them up to safely talk to later to figure out what’s going on with them and see if he can help them.

He designed his own suit and made it with the help of a person who makes costumes and support items for superheroes, they run a tech repair shop as a cover for this. Their parent (while masked) found them wearing a homemade version and brought him to the suit maker.

He got picked up by the spider society and has some spidy friends from other universes (aka my friends spidersonas lol).

His parent asked him who their favorite hero was and he panicked and said the spiderfly because he’d never thought about this before, so his parent now buys him a shit ton of spiderfly merch which they just accept because it’s pretty damn comfy, also, what superhero wears their own merch?

A beautiful birthday drawing for me on 2022 that a good close friend of mine made for me. Featuring the characters of The Spider And The Butterfly, Ñanduti the Pink Spider, Panambi the Morpho Butterfly, and their daughter, Veve the Spiderfly. Alongside my main character in the middle. As silly as it may seem to anyone, these 3 characters from dragonfoxgirl's Spider and Butterfly animations mean a lot to me. And I just wished the creator would use them again, but in happier stuff.

Mirabel Madrigal is…Spiderfly.

At just 15 Mirabel was bitten by a magical golden spider that gave spider powers and the ability to form golden wings of a butterfly which she uses to fly and use as a shield to protect herself from attacks. Her organic webs give off a golden glow.

She didn’t get into the hero gig until Miguel found and recruited her. Once she was able to defend herself and fight she became the protector of the Encanto from any outsiders.

Mirabel is considered the ‘sweetheart’ of all the Spiders because of her kind heart, naiveness and clumsiness.

sammy yinlian is a american chinese pansexual girl born with a flexible body and blue streaks artist and dance student bitten by a radioactive spider while she was painting butterflies and then got the idea of being a spiderfly when she realized that only she can protect everyone.

she used to be an orphan because her parents died in a car accident but her uncle stayed with her along with her Aunt

managed to save her step brothers but then failing to save her step sisters and uncles life in the process when they got crushed by a burning building falling apart making her live with extreme guilt.

has intense attachment and abandonment issues after loosing her the people she loved and making her a victim of a toxic friendship that she struggles to get out of due to the fear of being alone and having no one.

her fighting style is just ballerina like movements for the gracefulness✨✨

her step parents think that she is a gift from heaven because of her dark purple eyes and blue streaks which is why they wanted her to dance and have many goals.

despite being a talented dancer shes often the one leading and carrying the pressure when her friends dont wanna dance

her only two friends that never poured so much pressured then passed away due to a deadly disease they caught when a villain released toxic gas into sam's city some people got sick and some died as well putting more guilt into her. her other friend is alive but went missing

sam almost lost her limbs when she got hit by a saw being thrown at her and pinned to the ground while getting zapped and forced to watch a hallucination of her mistakes

abilities:

while she was at school a lockdown happened and she needed a excuse to get out of her class so she can save them without her identity being revealed but her teachers said no but she rebeled against that anyway.apperentlly a venom variant had broken in her school.it wasnt defeated but half of the people were safe some injured and no one understood why it chose that specific place.

sam got accepted into art school but then 3 years later quited due to art teachers complaining about how her art looks a bit cartoony and being ungreartful

super speed ( almost has a speed of a literal motorcycle but is still working on being careful so she doesnt blast herself against a wall the speed effects her gliding style )

flexibility ( shes born with a very flexible body giving her the advantages as a dancer and a fighter so she can do that one inosuke pose from demon slayer )

butterfly gilder ( she actually painted her glider a butterfly style herself when deciding on what it would look like for her suit. her glider is very strong so its almost impossible for it to be torn apart but she can only fly downwards when gliding or landing she can only go upwards by using her silk webs or just the wind )

silk web ( her webs are strong and a bit stretchy she uses it to swing upwards or try to connect a split building into one. her webs are also has a bit of sparkles but not only that she can also make the webs sharp and able to cut through hard material,she once did that to a villain )

butterflies ( she can make living butterflies with just webs and it will be real.often used as a tracker it has a blaster in the middle of the butterfly )

smoke bombs ( sams smokebombs are both used to blend in with something since she can change its colour or use it to ambush other villains )

has a habit of blowing soap bubbles

really likes cats and is sorta best friends with spidercat

though her personality is being cheerful and childlike in reality shes still suffering with her mistakes and fear of loosing her loved ones and failing to save everything making her feel like her shoulders are gonna break from the weigh she carries around

has a problem with being too kind even in battle with a villain she always says sorry when they get injured feeling pity

really likes siomay springrolls and orange juice

most of the time she paints her uncle and step sister so she wouldnt forget them

⸻scent sensitivity... i don't think he's sensitive to much but the the smell of death; rot, infection, blood, putridity, decay in general, being a necromancer. he can pick up a lot of different things, too, but he's particularly at least aware of death before everything else. well, and magic, too, but that one's a bit harder to explain. it's appearance and feel heavily effect the way it smells to him, but he can pick up on it (he, loux, sortia, and crovita all share this trait, actually; neither vayn nore kaede can sense magic this way).

⸻comfort movie, show, book... i've said this before, but the things that comfort him most are stories, particularly the book, the misadventures of poppy & wick. a good fantasy, however, is something he could curl up with (something like lotr, for example), although he likes a bit of romantic subplot (remember, he was once engaged and very much in love, so that reflects in some of his interests).

⸻favorite munchies... his guilty pleasure is franken-leeches (assorted chocolate variety), but he also really likes cottonmouth cakes, dessert pastries, meat of all kinds, fairy floss (what nightfolk call cotton candy as a snack (cotton candy as a name for the flavor; they're weird, it's for aesthetic)), absinthe, werther's originals unironically, literally grandma purse candies, pork buns, witch-fingers, peppered spiderfly legs, pickled beholder stalks (it's like, the nightfolk equivalent to pig feet; while i'm here, loux likes these too), honestly a lot more 'cause he loves food even if he doesn't have much of an appetite.

Mmmmm spidersona wip

They’re based off that one winged spider hoaxe. In his story he was bitten by a hybrid spiderfly and peacock jumping spider! His hero name is, fittingly, the spiderfly! And his civilian name is wren corigan, his parent is also a spider person but neither know about the others alter ego! He uses an extendable staff chat noir style because i really like the idea of a person zooming in through the air to wack an enemy with a stick for some reason.

i had a dream i was living at a foster house i previously stayed at, a blue one and everything was similar except i had a partly different family. in my dream there was an old lady and she must have been that family's grandmother. she had a curmudgeonly demeanor to her. we were upstairs on the second floor. i kind of had to cajole her into telling me what was going on with the family. because no one ever did tell me. i told her it felt like everyone was always keeping me in the dark, and it felt horrible to be in the dark, i felt like i was going crazy. she took one look at me before she finally told me. maybe she felt bad for me, i don't know, that was my hope. pity is a useful currency. when she spoke it was acidic, she sounded almost like she was blaming me but i knew it wasn't my fault. the house was being taken from them and she was very upset about it. i felt so badly for her. by this time she had moved to a space outside on the porch and she was talking to me through the mesh screen with the door slightly cracked open. there was a big red and black spiderfly right in the door by the spot where her head was next to. it was kind of distracting but it put her in focus so i could see her clearer. she had grey wiry hair and an amber eye and her skin was a soft wrinkled brown. like a bruised apple. i implored her to come back in. i told her she reminded me of a cat and that she looked like she could use a hug. she hesitated again before coming inside and rushing to my open arms. she started weeping and i did too, out of joy. she reminded me of a cat so much. while i held her her image transformed into the one of this old cat that i met irl on my eighteenth birthday at a cat cafe. her name was big mama... she was a really big and old tortoisehell cat, mostly black and brown. she didn't like being touched or bothered much, but she let me pet her. i really wanted to adopt big mama that day but of course i couldn't, my aunt is allergic. anyway.. while i was petting the cat that image fell away and i was a little girl lying under a pile of snow, half conscious. i was shouting for someone named yamada. i think it was my cat, because i was smiling open-mouthed and making motions like i was still petting one. there was a little boy trapped in the snow next to me and he was very still, so still that i hadn't become cognizant of him until then, but when he heard my cries, he slowly freed himself from his prison and managed to inch his way over to me. i think he killed and ate me. i kept shouting for the cat
