You smiled at your brother as he appeared beside you, beers in hand. He passed one to you as he took a seat on the bonnet beside you. “Thanks.” You smiled before taking a sip. Your brother nodded before taking a sip of his own drink.
“Remember how dad flipped the first time dad caught you drinking? Man, I think I saw fire in his eyes.” Your brother chuckled turning his head to take at you. “Oh yeah. I think that was the first time I ever faced his wrath.” You joked bumping shoulders with him. “I think I was too drunk to truly care to be completely honest.”
“You were a mess. I spent most of that night awake in case you were sick.” He shook his head. “Then you actually were sick.” He rolled his eyes. You grimaced slightly. “Please don’t remind me,” You took another sip. “Being sick on the floor in front of my younger brother was bad enough. I think I traumatised Sam that day.”
Dean laughed. “Traumatised Sam!? It was me who had to clean it up, missy.” He exclaimed. “And I was very thankful you did.” You joked before looking out into the empty field.
Your childhood was a touchy subject. Something which all three of you chose not to talk about unless necessary. Growing up you’d always known that your home life was less than normal, that your dad never acted in the way you saw dad’s on the TV act.
As you’d grown up you’d simply come to the conclusion that maybe John Winchester was never meant to be a dad, sure for the first two years of your life he’d played the part but even then you knew it wasn’t perfect.
“You look like you're thinking quite hard there, you okay?” Dean bumped his shoulder with you drawing you back into the present. “I’m fine, just thinking…” You trailed off looking down at the drink in your hands. You felt your brother wrap an arm around your shoulders, pulling you closer.
You both fell back into a comfortable silence for a moment before you turned your head to face him “You were more of a father to me than he ever was,” You smiled at your brother “Just so you know.”
Dean pressed a kiss to your forehead before resting his head on top of yours.

Loving you the way I do
“This is your baby sister, Y/n,” This might be the first time since his mother was alive that Dean had heard his fathers voice be as soft as it was.
“Can I hold her? Please, can I hold her?” Sam begged, bouncing up and down on his toes in anticipation.
“Dean gets to hold her first, Sam,” John scowled slightly, “We talked about this already.”
The- now middle- Winchester sibling stopped jumping immediately and dropped his head slightly, “Sorry,” He mumbled, kicking his shoe slightly against the motel ground.
As gently as humanly possible, nine year old Dean gingerly held you in his arms, supporting your head the way your father had shown him before gazing at you in wonder.
You tossed and turned a little bit in the hospital blanket that was wrapped securely around you, before you blinked your eyes open slightly.
Instead of screaming and crying like he expected you to do, you just stared up at your older brother in the same amazement that he looked over you with; and that amazement soon melted into full adoration on his features.
“Is it my turn yet?” Sam whined, and John finally relented with a small huff.
The hesitation was visible on Dean's face, looking as if it pained him to pass you over to his little brother, something that escaped both Sam and John’s notice.
What John didn’t miss though, was the way his eldest son lingered near you and Sam, looking ready to spring forward at any moment and save you should Sam accidentally drop you.
“She’s fine, Dean, quit hovering.” John told his son gruffly. But for the first time in his life, the boy didn't snap at attention to scramble and do what his father had said. For the first time, he pretended as if he didn’t hear the man as he continued to stare down at you.
I know we’re gonna make it through
“I’ll be back in a couple days, don’t do anything to draw attention to yourselves.” John warned with a small glare before turning on his heel and exiting the motel room, slamming the door shut behind him.
Dean let out a small breath, glancing over his shoulder to where you sat on Sam’s lap on the crammed couch, both of you engrossed in the cartoon before you.
It had been two years since you were born, and Dean was yet to hear his fathers voice grow soft again, even around you. In fact, John began to try and distance himself from you as much as he could.
He had once confessed to Dean when he was almost black out drunk that it was because he had a child with a woman who wasn’t Mary, and while he and Sam could remind him of his late wife, you did no such thing.
It wasn’t your fault of course, and Dean knew that. He knew that it wasn’t fair for your father to distance himself from you for something you couldn’t control, which would inevitably affect you one way or another eventually.
He walked over to the couch before plopping down onto the small cushion beside the two of you and held out his arms, “Giver ‘er here, Sammy.”
The boy did so, and you giggled slightly at being passed around. You looked up at Dean with a wide smile before turning your attention back to the screen.
A small sigh escaped his lips as he watched over his two siblings, both who were completely oblivious to the fact that John had only left a few cans of food in the room and a very limited amount of money without the certainty of when he would return.
He placed a small kiss on the top of your head. He was going to get you all through this, just like he always did.
And I would go to the ends of the earth
“We asked for a parent or guardian of Y/n Winchester.” The principal raised a single eyebrow as he spoke, eyeing the clearly high school level student.
“I’m her older brother,” Dean grunted with narrowed eyes, “Isn’t that good enough if our father can’t make it?”
The older man sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose, “Fine, fine. We should get this started, then.” He then beckoned with his hand for you and one of your classmates to come into his office.
You shuffled in, eyes lighting up when you spotted Dean and you hurriedly squealed, rushing over and jumping into his arms, “Hey, sweetheart.” He mumbled, pressing a kiss in your hair.
“What is this about?” The mother of your classmate demanded, shooting daggers at you and your brother from where she sat in a chair a couple feet away.
“I’m afraid we are going to have to suspend the two of them,” The principal spoke.
A look of bewilderment came over Dean's features, “S-suspend? For what? She’s five!”
“Even so, they both must be held accountable for their actions.”
“Which was what, exactly?” He demanded, grip tightening around you protectively.
“The two of them got into a small fight and disrupted the class.” He informed him and the other mom.
“That’s outrageous!” Said mother shrieked, jumping to her feet, “My daughter would never get into a fight!”
“She hit me, I didn’t do anything,” You mumbled into Dean's ear, and he felt his anger begin to boil in his blood.
“Y/n didn’t do anything,” Dean stated, a venomous glint in his eyes as he stared down the mother and the principal.
“Oh?” The woman screeched, whirling around and pointing a finger at him, “And how did you figure that out?” She hissed.
“Because she told me she didn’t,” He said plainly.
She scoffed and rolled her eyes as if he just said the most idiotic thing she’d ever heard, “And how do you know you can believe her?”
Dean stood up immediately, you still clutched to his chest as he glared right back at the older woman, “Because she isn’t lying.” He told her with a dangerous tinge in his tone before simply turning on his heel and striding out of the office.
Your arms wrapped around his neck and you buried your face in his shirt, “Thanks, De.” You whispered.
'Cause, darling, to me that's what you're worth
“What the hell is this?” John snapped with a glare, picking up a doll that had gently been set on the table.
Dean swallowed, eyes flitting over to your sleeping form on the bed beside him, your chest rising and falling steadily.
You hadn’t meant to, and Dean knew that. You were only eight, you hadn’t meant to wander out the store with the doll in your grip as if it was already yours and not something you had just picked up off the shelf.
He had been too preoccupied to even notice until the two of you got home, and he had sighed as he watched your eyes fill with tears and your bottom lip wobble as you stared up at him after telling you that it would have to be taken back.
Reluctantly, he had given in and decided that it wouldn’t even matter if you brought it back now, so he had said he would let you keep it this one time if you never did it again.
Of course, Dean couldn’t tell his father that, then he would be angry at you. And your older brother always did everything in his power to shield you from that side of John.
“I-I took it, sir.” Your older brother cleared his throat, glancing up at his fathers raging form, “I wanted to get her a toy to have.”
The older man let out a loud scoff, rolling his eyes, “Why the hell would you do that?”
“Because sh-she needs toys,” He tried to sound as confident as he could without his voice wavering again. You needed him, he would not give you up like that, “I thought she needed toys.” He was more confident this time.
John dropped the doll carelessly to the ground with a snarl, “Next time,” He seethed, “Next time I catch you pulling any of this shit, there’s gonna be consequences.”
He was talking to Dean as if he weren’t seventeen years old. As if he were still just a child.
But the boy bit his tongue and nodded his head once, visibly relaxing once his father stomped out of the room. He looked back at you and let a small sigh loose, relieved that you hadn’t woken up.
Carefully, he pulled the blankets higher on your body that had slipped down from some tossing and turning.
Where you lead, I will follow
“Dude,” Sam spoke up, glancing away from his homework for a split second to give Dean a look, “She’s fine.”
The man immediately froze, stopped tapping his foot and snapped his head over to his younger brother, “What?”
“Y/n,” The younger boy's head was already facing the textbook again, “She just went out with a couple friends. You can stop stressing out, she's fine.”
Dean hadn’t even realized that he had eagerly been staring out the motel window, awaiting your return with about as much impatience as a toddler.
“I know that,” He shot back defensively, forcing his muscles to relax from his stiff, upright sitting position and relax against the back of the chair.
Sam looked up again, eyebrows raised so high that they disappeared under his hair, “Oh? You’re not staring at the parking lot as if she didn’t just leave five minutes ago?”
“No,” Dean grumbled, sinking down and crossing his arms over his chest.
A sigh left Sam’s lips, “She’s eleven, dude. And she’s just down the road if you need to get to her.”
“Or if she needs to get to me.” He hadn’t even thought as the words slipped through his lips.
There was a pause, “Yeah… yeah, if she needs to get to you, she can easily do it.” He reassured his older brother.
Despite the clear way the words were forced out, Dean still relaxed for real when he heard them, but didn’t move away from the window as he waited for you to return.
Anywhere that you tell me to
You shuffled through the door, head hung low as you dropped your backpack with a small ‘thud’ beside the table. Sam reached out and rubbed your shoulders comfortingly.
Dean looked over his shoulder from where he was preparing dinner, “Hey, sweetheart, hey Sammy-“ He cut himself off when he caught sight of your defeated look and Sam’s pitying one, “What is it?” He immediately rushed out, “What’s wrong?”
You just sniffled slightly and crossed your arms over your chest, kicking at the floor.
“Sam?” He automatically turned his attention to the boy when you didn’t answer, “What’s wrong?” He demanded again.
John had just dropped the two of you off back at the motel after school before rushing off, saying that the hunt was not over even though he thought it had been.
A tear slipped down your cheek, and right as it did so, you took off towards the bathroom, slamming and locking the door behind you, leaving your brothers behind.
“Sam.”
“There’s this father-daughter dance going on for her grade,” He sighed, and it clicked into place right away for Dean.
“Dad couldn’t go?” He asked softly.
“He wouldn’t,” Sam corrected him angrily with a scoff, crossing his arms over his chest, “He told her it was a waste of time.”
All at once, a blinding rage boiled up inside of Dean, one of the only times in his entire life that he was anything but scared of his father. For once, he hated the man.
His thoughts snapped back to the present though when he realized that you were still crying in the bathroom, and he immediately reeled his emotions in. You needed him more than he needed to be angry right now.
With a sigh, he crept over and gently knocked on the door after shooting a swift nod of thanks to Sam’s direction, “N/n?” He called softly, “Sweetheart, it’s me. Can I come in?”
There was a moment of silence before the man heard a slight click of a door being unlocked, and he didn’t hesitate to rush in.
Your cheeks were stained with tears and your eyes were bloodshot in a way that made Dean's heart shatter into a million pieces.
“Oh, n/n,” He cooed, sinking onto the ground beside you and pulling you to his chest, rubbing a hand up and down your back comfortingly as you cried into his shirt.
He kept whispering comforting words in your ear until you were reduced to sniffles and hiccups that were an effect of after-sobbing.
“D-dad doesn’t want to go with me,” You choked out, clutching a handful of your brother's shirt tightly.
Dean sighed, unsure of what to tell you. Of whether or not he should lie and tell you that your father really did want to go, he was just busy. But he realized that you were now old enough to see right through that.
“I’ll go with you,” As soon as the thought popped into his mind, he hadn’t even given himself a second to process it before blurting it out loud.
You reeled back and stared up at him with wide eyes, “Wha-“
“I’ll go to the father-daughter dance with you,” He shrugged, “I know I’m not dad, but at least you’ll have someone to go with.”
Slowly, a large grin broke out onto your face and you threw yourself into his arms again, squeezing tightly as you let out an excited squeal, “Thank you, thank you, thank you!”
He laughed, hugging you with the same amount of force, “My pleasure, sweetheart.”
If you need, you need me to be with you
“Y/n?” Dean's eyebrows flew up in shock as the smell of alcohol filled his senses.
“Duh,” You slurred, stumbling slightly to stand upright as you made your way into the motel room, “Who else would I be? Bobby?”
“Are you… drunk?” He had to blink a couple of times to help his brain fully process what he was seeing. You, his baby sister, hardly fifteen years old, drunk out of your mind.
“Noo,” You whined, “God, get off my case.”
“Hey,” He stood up, arm wrapping around your waist automatically as you almost fell over your own feet, “Come on,” Gently, he led you over to sit down on the bed.
With a large sigh of relief, you fell onto your back and cuddled into the sheets, “Thanks, dad.” You mumbled.
Dean's eyes were practically bugging out of his head at this point. He swallowed thickly, “Y-you know I’m not dad, right?”
“Well not biololy-“ You paused with furrowed eyebrows, “Beeolog-“
“Biologically?” He filled in the missing word for you, unsure of where you were trying to go with this as he turned on his heel to get you a glass of water.
You snapped your fingers, pointing a lazy finger at him, “Bingo! You might not be my dad biologically, but you’re more of a father to me than John- John is.” Your head was nuzzling into a pillow by now.
He sputtered, practically dropping the glass before setting it down on the bedside table, “That-that’s not true.” He insisted, “You don’t think that.”
“Sober words are drunk thoughts,” You slurred before opening your eyes and pausing to think, “Wait… that’s not right…”
He sighed, picking up the water and coaxing you to sit up so he could give it to you.
“We’ll talk in the morning,” Dean told you softly, leaning forward to place a kiss on your forehead.
Even after you eventually drifted off to sleep, he couldn’t do so himself. Still trying to wrap his mind around what you said. About if you actually believed your own words.
I will follow where you lead
“Dean.” You reached up to pinch the bridge of your nose, “I’m old enough to go on a date.”
He scowled, sinking further into his chair with his arms crossed, “I disagree,” He grumbled.
“Of course you do,” You sighed before turning back to the bathroom mirror and checking your reflection one last time before stepping out.
“Do you have your gun?” He asked automatically. And if it were anyone else, you would have laughed. But this was your eldest brother, and you knew for a fact that he was dead serious.
“I don’t think I need-“
“Do you have your gun?” He demanded again, glowering from across the room.
“Yes, yes, I have my gun.” You reassured him, lifting up your handbag of where it was resting dramatically to further your point.
Silence rang out between the two of you for a moment, having your own mini stare down, before it was his turn to sigh and stand up before striding across the room to you.
He put his hands on each of your shoulders, looking you in the eye, “I just want what’s best for you.” He told you sincerely.
Your hands went up to gently grasp onto his wrists and squeeze, “I know that, De,” You spoke softly, “But you can’t protect me from everything.”
“I can try,” He replied stubbornly, cracking a smile when you snorted.
Taking your hands off of his, you moved your arms to wrap around his torso and pull him into a tight hug.
He was just about to return it when a knock rang through the room. Your date was at the door.
Slowly, you let go and looked up at your big brother with a smile.
If you're out on the road
“Where’s Sammy when you need him?” You groaned, dropping your head into your arms that rested against the table.
“Shut it,” Dean grumbled, “I can help you just as well as he could.”
You rolled your eyes up to the ceiling, “You’ve failed every math class you’ve ever been in, genius.”
“And who told you that?”
“Sam.” You said in a ‘duh’ tone.
Dean scoffed, “Well, Sammy’s a freaking liar.”
You rose your eyebrows and placed your head in your hand, waiting as his eyes raked up and down the paper.
“Well?” You asked after a few moments.
“Well, this is hard.” He snapped back.
You threw your hands up, “That's why I asked for help!”
He seemed to ponder something for a moment before putting the paper down tentatively, “Math was always stupid anyway. I don’t think it would hurt if you didn’t do this one assignment.”
“So, you’re admitting to not knowing how to do this?”
“…no.”
“Yes.”
“No.”
“Then what are you saying?”
“… fine, I failed every math class I’ve ever taken.”
Feeling lonely, and so cold
“You’re gonna be fine, you’re gonna be fine.” Dean muttered, not knowing if he was trying to reassure you or himself more as he put so much pressure on the gas that his foot had begun to hurt.
“D-Dean-“ You muttered from the passenger seat, lulling your head to the side to try and face him.
Quickly, he shushed you, doing everything in his power not to focus solely on the crumbled up shirt you were holding against your stomach to try and apply pressure to your wound. He knew if he focused on that for longer than a couple of seconds, he would abandon his mission of getting you straight to a hospital and try to take care of it on his own.
He knew his mind would kick into a protective, frenzy overdrive and he wouldn’t allow himself to wait until he arrived at his destination.
Of course, the one day Sam wasn’t feeling well enough to join the two of you on a hunt- one that was supposed to be so simple that Dean finally- begrudgingly- allowed you to come on, you had gotten shot in the stomach.
As soon as that had happened, everything about the hunt immediately flew as far from Deans mind as humanly possible, even letting the shooter get away in his panicked state as his brain switched to autopilot mode and he scooped you up and rushed you to the car.
Nothing was going to happen to you. Nothing was going to happen to you. Nothing was going to happen to you. Nothing was-
A violent cough raked through your body, making your older brother visibly flinch as he pressed down harder on the pedal, even if he was already going as fast as he could.
“You’re gonna be okay, sweetheart,” He muttered, harshly blinking away the tears that began to pool in his eye ducts.
All you have to do is call my name
“Dean?” You whispered into the darkness hesitantly.
“Wh-What? What’s wrong?” His eyes immediately snapped open and he flew out of the bed at your nervous tone.
He gently took ahold of each of your shoulders and blinked the sleep away from his eyes as they scanned your face through the darkness for any sign of distress.
“I-I had a nightmare…” You muttered weakly, feeling heat begin to spread to your cheeks as you averted your eyes from your elder brother.
“Oh,” He breathed out, relaxing only slightly when he realized that you were in no immediate danger, “Oh, it’s okay, sweetheart.” He quickly wrapped his arms around you and brought you to his chest.
Your own arms snaked around him in return, burying your face in his chest and allowing him to rock both of you back and forth slightly as he rubbed your back soothingly.
“Can I stay?” You whispered meekly, refusing to look him in the eyes from the sheer embarrassment of it all.
“Of course,” He answered without hesitation, keeping an arm wrapped around you as he gently led you to the bed.
As soon as you were both lying down and under the sheets, you cuddled into your older brothers chest and let out a little sigh of content, “Thank you, De.” You whispered sleepily.
“I have nightmares all the time too,” He whispered after a few moments of silence, “They got worse after you almost died on that hunt.”
You felt his arms tighten around you as he spoke, and you held on just as tight in return.
“We’re okay,” He spoke comfortingly, kissing the top of your head again, “We’re okay.”
And I'll be there on the next train
“I-I need help,” You spoke shakily into the phone, wrapping your free arm tighter around yourself as you spoke.
“Alright, I’m on my way.” Came Dean's determined reply.
No, ‘I told you so’. No, ‘You made this mess, you can get out of it yourself’. No, ‘You shouldn’t have gone in the first place’. Just your selfless, loving brother who was willing to drop everything he was doing because you had made a mistake. Because you had insisted that you could finally go on a solo hunt despite his protests and pleas. Because he had been so scared of a repeat from the last time he had allowed you to go on a hunt. And even that time you were with him, this time you wouldn’t be.
And now you were in over your head and you needed your older brother to bail you out.
“Dean?” You sniffled slightly into your phone, “I’m sorry.”
“I know, sweetheart, I know.” He spoke soothingly.
In the background, you hear the car start as if he had just been sitting in it waiting for your call.
You wouldn’t be surprised. But you couldn’t find it in yourself to be mad at him.
Where you lead, I will follow
“Sam’s gonna kill us ya’know.” You spoke, shoveling another spoonful of cereal into your mouth.
“What Sammy doesn’t know won’t hurt him,” Dean replied calmly, leaning back against the couch cushions, eyes trained solely on the Scooby-Doo episode.
“We’re supposed to be researching lore about the case,” Even though you said it, you made no effort to turn off the television and go back to work.
“You and I both know that he’ll do all of it anyway,” He reminded you, “Might as well enjoy our time instead of wasting it.”
A chuckle escaped from your lips as you softly shook your head back and forth, folding your legs underneath you and entertaining your brother by watching his favorite show with him.
Anywhere that you tell me to
“How do you mess up making toast?” You yelled over the fire alarm.
“I don’t know! Okay? I don’t know!” Dean's voice boomed back as he wildly jumped around with a towel while trying to fan the smoke out of the room.
Despite his protests, the alarms screeching didn't come to the halt you had hoped for. If anything, it seemed to get even louder.
“I leave you alone for five minutes and this is what happens!” You scolded, “I swear, I feel like I’m the older one sometimes.”
“Just shut it and help me!” He snapped.
You sighed irritatedly, but grabbed a towel anyway and joined in on his efforts of stopping an almost inevitable fire.
It took a while- and a lot more screaming matches- before the alarm finally died down and the only thing that remained from the fire was the ringing in your ears, the faint smell of smoke, and a burnt beyond recognition piece of toast.
“Let’s… let’s not speak of this ever again.” Dean finally huffed out after catching his breath.
A wicked smile made its way onto your face at his words, “In your dreams,” You told him sinisterly.
His face dropped and he looked at you in horror, “Don’t you dare-“
“Oh, Sam,” You sang, practically dancing out of the room.
“Get back here!” The sound of thundering feet coming bounding after you made you squeal and pick up your pace.
If you need, you need me to be with you
“Y/n?” You ferociously wiped away the tears that stained your cheeks when you door was knocked on, “Sweetheart? Are you okay?”
“Y-yeah, I’m fine, Dean.” You silently cursed yourself for the small crack in your voice as you spoke. Though you doubted it would even need to be there for your brother to know that something was wrong.
“I’m coming in,” He announced, waiting only a split second to see if you would protest before opening your door and immediately scanning his eyes over you to see what was the matter.
“Hey, hey,” He murmured gently, dropping down in front of where you sat on your bed once he realized you didn’t appear to be in any physical pain, “What’s wrong?”
You shook your head when you were unable to speak, averting your eyes from his wide, concerned ones.
“Talk to me,” He pleaded softly. He hated when something was the matter that he didn’t know about, it absolutely killed him.
“It’s just-“ You choked out a small sob, “Why?”
His eyebrows furrowed as he unconsciously swiped a piece of hair from your face, “Why, what, sweetheart?”
Again, you shook your head, “I’m being so stupid-“
“Hey,” He gently grabbed your chin and made you look at him, “Anything making you upset is not stupid. Now what’s wrong?”
“Why can’t we just have a normal life?” His heart dropped, “Why did dad have to drag us into this? We’ve lost so many people because of what we do and I just don’t know if I can take it anymore-“
“Hey, hey,” He shushed you softly, immediately wrapping his arms around you, “Shh, it’s okay, I know. Believe me, sweetheart, I know. It’s not fair. I’m so sorry.”
“It’s not your fault, Dean.” You sniffled, pulling away and wiping your face with your sleeve.
“Still,” Tears began to form in his own eyes and he was forced to harshly blink them away, “I wish more than anything that you could have been spared from this. And I am so damn sorry that you weren’t.”
“I don’t want this for you either, Dean.” You told him softly.
He smiled sadly, “I know, sweetheart, I know. But at least we have each other.”
You were finally able to smile slightly at that, “Yeah, we do. Don’t we?”
I will follow
Humming lightly to yourself, you put the finishing touches on the dish before you and stepped back with your hands on your hips, proudly smiling down at it.
“N/n!” Dean's voice echoed through the halls, “I’m home!”
“In the kitchen!” You echoed back, excitedly jumping to hide the plate behind your back just in time for him to enter.
He entered with a wide smile, “Hey, sweetheart, what’s-“ He froze and eyed you suspiciously, “What are you up to?”
Unable to even attempt to hide your eagerness anymore, you leapt to the side and dramatically put your arms out to the side, “Ta da!” You guestered to the plate you had previously been hiding.
A wide grin automatically broke out onto his face as he came scurrying over to the counter with childlike excitement, “Pie?” He practically squealed, “You made me pie?”
You nodded proudly, putting your hands on your hips.
He rushed over and scooped you in a long hug, spinning you around in a way that made you giggle, “Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!” He gushed while gently setting you down, “Have I ever told you that you’re the best sister ever?” He was already taking a fork and shoveling some of it into his mouth.
“I could do with hearing it more often.” You teased.
“You’re the best sister ever!” He cheered, devouring the dessert happily.
Where you lead
The steady rocking of the car did nothing to help your tired state, nor did the music softly drifting out of the speakers and filling the small space effortlessly.
Dean's eyes flitted over to you for a quick second, “You can go to sleep, it’ll be a couple more hours until we get there.” He told you softly.
You shook your head stubbornly despite the yawn you had to bite back, “I wanna stay up with you,” You murmured, unconsciously cuddling up against the seat.
“We had a long day, just get some rest.” He insisted in the same gentle tone.
Finally, you weren’t able to hold back your exhaustion any longer and you practically melted into the cushions, “Fine,” You mumbled, “But only for a few minutes.”
He laughed lightly, reaching over with one hand and ruffling your hair playfully, “Sleep well, sleepyhead.” He teased.
“I love you, De,” You whispered, eyes already drifting shut and your head lulling to rest against the window.
“I love you too, sweetheart.”

One-shot
Winchester Brothers x Little sister! Reader
Masterlist
Request : Heyy, how are you doing? I was wondering if I could request for supernatural:3Maybe something where reader is Sam and Dean's little sister (13/14) and it's set on the first episode maybe. So, basically Sam leaves her home alone because he's going hunting with Dean, she finds out just in the morning because he hasn't left a note or anything and she starts to panic, but then she calls them and they calm her down? It's ok if you can't or don't take requests, I Hope you have a wonderful day! Remember to take care of yourself:3
A/N: Sorry it took a long time. I really do hope you'll like it. Maybe it won't be exactly how you expected it.
My eyes slowly opened as the birds sang softly near my window. I began to wipe the fatigue from my eyes as I sat up in bed. I had the weirdest dream last night. One where Dean entered the flat by a window and took Sam with him to find dad. It surely meant that I missed my dad and my brother after four years without seeing them. And Sam barely mentioning them nowadays didn’t help. As the drowsiness of sleep faded, I became aware of my surroundings and noticed that the apartment was eerily quiet this morning. This silence could only indicate two things: either it was very early, or I slept in. By the window, I could see that the sun was already up. I then decided to check my alarm to finally know what time it was. It was 8 AM. At least, I didn’t oversleep. Stretching my legs, I got up and made my way to the kitchen. Passing by the living room, I noticed that everything has been left untouched since yesterday. The coffee table was still covered in books and notebooks as well as various uncorked markers left haphazardly here and there. It was curious, since Sam was pretty much the tidy type, unlike Dean and I. I definitely won’t miss the opportunity to remind him that for once I was not the one leaving a mess behind.
But weirder, when I arrived in the kitchen I saw various cups and plates left on the table and the sink. Sam and Jess would never leave such a mess behind them. But they were probably still drunk from last night. “Sam? Jess?” I finally called. The silence was deafening. I thought for a second that maybe one of them was in the bathroom. So I came to the bathroom door and knocked softly. “Sam? Jess? Are you in there?” But again, complete silence was the only answer I got. There wasn’t even a water noise or the sound of someone brushing their teeth. There was only one room left, Sam and Jess’s. Maybe they were the ones oversleeping? I finally came to their room’s door. As I approached, I immediately noticed the absence of snoring noise. I then knocked on the door. I was once again met with utter silence. Frustration was slowly building in me. So I slowly opened the door and said “I’m coming inside! If I catch you doing something unsuitable for my innocent eyes, I won't be the most embarrassed!”. But, once the door was opened, I only saw a neatly made bed and an empty room.
I let out a rather loud sigh as I closed the door behind me. Maybe they went to the grocery store, or the library? I refuse to think about anything worse. But they would never leave me without at least a little note somewhere. So,  I made my way back to the kitchen to check the fridge to see if they left me a note. But there wasn’t anything in the fridge door or anywhere else. My heartbeat increased with each passing second. Panic was overtaking me and the worst case scenarios ran in my mind. What if something happened to them? What if our old ‘lifestyle’ finally caught up to us? Anxiety was slowly overwhelming me. But I tried to reassure myself and immediately thought about the table next to the door. I practically ran like a maniac toward it, in hope of finding something. But my hopes were crushed when I didn’t find a single note on the little notepad.
My last option was the phone. Thankfully, the little red light was flickering, indicating that someone had left a message. I pushed the button and silently prayed. But when I played the voicemail, I noticed that there wasn’t any message coming from Sam or Jess. I tried to call Jess and Sam right away. But I managed to get voicemail for both of them. “Sam, please! At least tell me you’re okay. I’m anxious. Please call me back soon!” I was really having trouble breathing. I let myself slide down the wall behind me and ended up sitting on the cold wooden floor. The flood of scary thoughts came back to torment me.
I always knew what lurked in the dark. Dad had made sure of it since I was little. Hell, he practically handed me a dagger when I told him I was afraid of monsters under my bed. Thankfully, Dean and Sam always made me feel safe. Even if I was only their half-sister, Dean and Sam were always there with me and never ostracized me for not having the same mother. If anything happened to them, I didn’t know what I would do. When Sam left for Stanford, he took me with him, leaving Dean and dad behind. They were always on my mind and I missed them everyday, especially Dean. He raised me more than dad ever did. I often had nightmares where something bad happened to them. What if it already happened and Sam was the next to die? What if…? My fear overwhelmed me and clouded my mind with the most horrific visions of my family’s corpses.
My thoughts were suddenly interrupted by the phone ringing. Without even thinking, I jumped and threw myself on the phone. “Y/N?” His voice made my heart jump. “Sam?! Where are you? Are you okay? Where’s Jess?” I blurted out in haste, almost out of breath. “Easy, Y/N. Everything’s okay. Jess is at the library. She probably forgot to tell you, sorry. She’ll come back soon. I’m…” There was another male voice interrupting him. I recognized it right away. “Dean?! Oh my god, Dean! I’m so glad to hear your voice. I missed you so much.” I practically screamed on the phone. I heard a bit of bickering when Dean took the phone.”Happy to hear your voice too, sis. I miss you too.” I could hear the smile in his voice. I never felt more relieved in my life. But suddenly, I realized that if these two were together, it meant that something bad happened. “What happened?”, I asked anxiously. There was a bit of silence before Dean replied “Well, dad didn’t come back from one of his hunts. So I came to your apartment last night to get Sam’s ass in the car and try to find dad.” So, I heard them last night. I thought that it was a dream.
“But, why didn’t you take me with you?” I asked and I knew that hurt was evident in my voice when I heard him sigh. “Listen Y/N, we didn’t want you involved in this. You finally have a normal life and we couldn't take it away from you just like that. It’s just another hunt involving what we think is a kind of ghost. It’s basically milk run for us. Soon, I’ll drive Sam back and you’ll keep living your life as if nothing happened.” “A normal life?! Are you kidding? I still sleep with a dagger under my pillow, just in case.” I heard Dean taking a deep breath. He was probably looking for a witty comeback , as always. But before he could answer, I heard Sam. “Y/N, we’re really sorry. But we didn’t know whether it was dangerous or not. We can’t risk losing our baby sis. Dean and I are going to be careful and I promise we’ll be back soon.” “We? Dean will join us?” I asked, hopeful. There was a bit of silence before I heard Dean reply “Well, we’ll see kiddo. It’s up to Sammy.” I heard Sam protesting at the nickname. “I just want to have my brothers with me.” I said, my voice cracking a bit. “I know, sweetheart.”, said Dean in a breath. “It’s a matter of days, I promise. We’ll find that bitch’s corpse, salt and burn it. We’ll be with you in no time.” He said in a reassuring tone. I smiled a little, but it didn’t reach my eyes. “What about dad?” I finally asked. “He can’t be that far. Don’t worry.”, said Sam. “Also, I’m sorry I didn’t leave a note. I didn't have the time.”, he added. “It’s okay, don’t worry about it. Just promise me you’ll both be careful and come back safe.” “We promise.”, they said in unison. “And please, update me whenever you can. I love you, goofs.” I heard them laugh. “Okay. We love you too, sis. See you soon.”, said Dean. And they hung up the phone.
I fell back on the floor, half relieved and half anxious. Trouble was definitely on the way, but at least, they were okay. I just had to wait for their next call. A sudden noise made me jump. To my relief, it was Jess. “Hey, Y/N! Sorry I didn’t tell you I was going to the library. But I figured that you would forgive me if I came back with your favorite pie.”, she said while shaking a bag. I got up and hugged her. She hugged me back while laughing a little “Wow. I know you love pie but not at this point.” She didn't know how  happy I was to see her.
 Timeskip
Fire, fire everywhere. Jess was on the ceiling, burning and bleeding. I couldn’t do anything to help her. Dean had to grab both Sam and I before fire could attain us. Her face, her cries for help, it was replaying in my mind endlessly. I would never be able to forget it.
Dean sat me on the curb, in the midst of the chaos around us. “Y/N, are you okay?”, he asked with a concerned voice. I vaguely nodded my head, still in shock. I couldn't even cry. I threw a glance at Sam. He was devastated. He was crying hard while clinging to me as if he was afraid I would disappear. They finally both took me in their arms. I missed that. But it was sad to have to wait for such a tragedy to finally have my brothers with me. After a moment, Dean sighed and  said “ I guess you’ll have to come with us, now.” And in no time, I was on the backseat of the Impala while Dean was driving to our next destination.

Join the Hunt
Tumblr media
Summary: Y/N Winchester messed up on a hunt, and faced the harsh consequences John made. He threw her into a vamp's nest, causing her to turn. Dean however, vowed to turn her back to a human, doing whatever it took.
Y/N sat in silence during the long car ride. She glanced over at Dean, who was nursing a wound… a large gash in his arm. She didn’t dare speak to him, knowing John would kick her out of the car and make her walk back. When they reached the motel room, he started to scream at her ruthlessly.
In a fit of rage, he blamed Y/N for the botched hunt, his voice echoing harshly against the worn-out motel walls. She bit her lip, holding back tears, as she absorbed the brunt of his fury. “I didn’t —” she tried to defend herself. But John wasn’t having any of it.
"Enough!" Dean finally interjected, his voice matching the intensity of John's. "It wasn't her fault, and you know it!”
Y/N locked eyes with Dean, grateful for his intervention. Silence filled the room, punctuated only by the sound of their heavy breathing. “She fucked up, and it cost you that fucking thing,” John said pointing to his wound.
"Enough, Dad!" Dean snapped back, his eyes hard and intense. "She's learning. We all made mistakes on our first hunts." The room fell silent again, tension hanging heavy in the air.
“She doesn’t,” John said pointing at her. Then he turned to face her. “You will obey all of my goddamned orders, do you understand?”
“I didn’t know what to —” she tried defending herself.
John cut her off again, "No excuses, Y/N!" His gaze was icy.
“I didn’t know what to do!” she yelled back, her eyes widening out of fear.
“What did you just say to me?” John asked advancing towards her, his voice threatening.
“I… I didn’t mean to yell,” She said backing away. “I just…I…I didn’t know what to do.”
She was backed into a wall, causing John to sneer. She looked over at Dean, who was watching the encounter happen as he cleaned and stitched his arm. John gripped her chin tightly, threatening her. “Dean’s not going to fucking help you,” he spat. There was a small window of silence before John struck her unexpectedly. She knew John was right. He had made a threat to him, one that would hurt them both if Dean interrupted her. John gripped the back of her neck, walking her forward and out of the motel room in the cold night.
As the door slammed shut behind them, Y/N found herself in the chilling darkness, her heart pounding in her chest. He threw her at the Impala, where she held out her hands to block her fall. She landed hard, her palms scraping painfully against the rough gravel. For a moment, she just lay there, her breaths coming out in shaky gasps as she tried to collect herself.
He picked her up again, and dragged her to the inside of the Impala, slamming the door shut, and going inside himself, starting the car immediately. She was left in the passenger seat, her body trembling from the cold and fear. She watched as John's face hardened into a mask of anger and determination. As the Impala roared to life, Y/N knew that the night was far from over. She wrapped her arms around her stomach protectively, looking out the window.
The moon hung high in the sky, casting long shadows that danced across the deserted highway. Y/N peered out at the desolate landscape, her heart aching with a mix of guilt, fear, and a strange sense of anticipation. She knew that this was just the beginning of her journey into the world of hunting. They had arrived at John’s intended location.
John took Y/N to an abandoned warehouse on the outskirts of town, rumored to be the site of several unexplained disappearances. It was a grim, foreboding place, its skeletal structure silhouetted against the pale moonlight.
She felt an involuntary shiver run down her spine as they entered. The eerie silence of the place, punctuated only by the distant hooting of an owl, added an extra layer of dread to the already tense atmosphere.
There, they met a man. As the man approached, his eyes filled with a disturbing glee, Y/N felt herself freeze. But she forced herself to move, to stand tall, because she knew she had to be strong, for herself, for Dean. The night was only just beginning, and she was ready to face whatever lay ahead. John threw her at the man, causing her to stumble but quickly regained her footing, her gaze never leaving the man's eyes. She could see the swift, but fast movements of the man, as he approached her. In the moonlight, the man smiled, and she could see fangs. She heard a door close behind her. Her head turned at the moment, realizing John was no longer behind her. “Dad!” she yelled, running to the door of the shed. It was bolted shut. “Dad don’t leave me in here! I won’t make a mistake again I promise. Dad!”
But there was no response, only the cold wind whistling through the cracks. She turned back to face the man, her heart pounding in her chest. He was right in front of her, and she went into shock, before a painful bite was made onto her neck, and she let out a scream.
The scream echoed through the warehouse, bouncing off the walls and reverberating in the still night air. Y/N tried to push the man away, her hands fumbling against his chest, but he was too strong. She felt her knees buckle beneath her, her vision starting to blur as the man continued to bite her, injecting his venom.
John was already riding back home, happy that Dean had not interfered, considering his son did not know the extent of the punishment. “Where’s Y/N?” Dean asked, his arm stitched and cleaned up when John came home.
“I sent her on a hunt,” John said, only half lying.
Dean's face hardened at his father's response. He knew of John's harsh training methods, the brutal way he punished those who didn't live up to his impossible standards. "She's not ready for a solo hunt," Dean protested, his voice filled with worry.
“She’ll learn,” John said. “Like falling off a bike, right?”
Dean was silent for a moment, but then he shook his head, his face hardening. "This is different, Dad. And you know it. Y/N isn’t ready for this." He stood up, heading for the door, determination in his eyes.
“She’ll be fine,” John said, knowing he was completely lying at this point. “Get packed up, we’re going on our own hunt tomorrow.”
+++
Y/N woke up a day later, and felt different. Her body felt heavier, her senses heightened. She looked around, the warehouse now eerily silent. She touched her neck, wincing as her fingers brushed against the tender wound. She knew then, something had fundamentally changed within her. “Ow,” she mumbled as she got up. It was a habitual response to getting up after blacking out, but she realized she was never in pain.
She looked around the warehouse, only to find the man there. She grabbed the first wooden stick she could find. “I wouldn’t do that if I were you,” the man said.
"Stay back," she warned, her voice shaky but determined. The man merely chuckled, an unsettling sound that echoed through the warehouse.
"You don't understand what's happening, do you?" he asked, a sinister smile playing on his lips.
“I know you hurt me,” she said. “You bit me.”
The man nodded. Even in the dark, she could see him perfectly. Y/N felt a wave of dread wash over her as the reality of her situation set in. She was a vampire, forever changed by a single, terrifying encounter. She had joined the hunt, but not in the way she had ever imagined. She now, became the hunted. “My father —” she started, but he interrupted her.
“Made a deal with me,” the vampire said. “He would spare my life, if that meant the second you messed up again, I would make you a part of my clan.”
Y/N's heart pounded in her chest, her mind reeling. "No...no, you're lying!" she protested, but deep down, she knew it was the truth. This was her punishment, her penance for not being the perfect hunter John wanted her to be.
She backed away, her eyes wide with horror. "He wouldn't...he couldn't do that to me," she whispered, more to convince herself than anything else. But the vampire's smirk told her all she needed to know. “Dean wouldn’t let that happen.”
The vampire laughed, a chilling sound that echoed through the empty warehouse. "Dean doesn't know, and by the time he finds out, it'll be too late," he taunted, his gaze cold and merciless. "Welcome to your new life, Y/N."
Soon, she heard the familiar sounds of the Impala coming. She turned towards the noise, her heart pounding. She knew she couldn't let Dean see her like this. She quickly ducked behind a stack of crates as the Impala pulled up outside. “Get the knives,” John ordered. “It’s a small vamp’s nest, shouldn’t take long.”
As Dean exited the vehicle, Y/N watched from the shadows, her heart aching. She could smell both of their blood. She knew she had to hide, to run, but something held her in place. It was the bitter irony of her situation - she was now the prey in their hunt.
Her mind raced, and it blocked out all movement, all of her senses. She didn’t realize Dean was behind her. "Y/N?" Dean's voice was soft, filled with concern. She didn't dare turn around, she couldn't let him see her like this. But as she felt his hand on her shoulder, she knew it was too late.
She turned around slowly, her gaze meeting Dean’s. His eyes widened in shock as he took in her appearance. "Y/N, what the hell happened?" he asked, his voice barely a whisper.
She stepped back, where the shadows would hide her fangs. “Leave,” she said bitterly.
"But Y/N..." Dean started, his voice filled with confusion and worry. But she cut him off, her voice harsher than she intended, "Just go, Dean!" She watched as he hesitated, torn between his loyalty to his father and his concern for her. She pushed him back, a little too strong. He flew backwards, landing on the second floor.
The shock on Dean's face was palpable as he hit the ground, a sharp gasp escaping his lips. The night echoed with the sound of her frantic footsteps and Dean's stunned silence. “There’s a cure, Y/N,” Dean said silent enough for her to hear. “I can find it.”
“You’re luring me into a trap Dean,” she said. “I know you. It’s shoot first ask questions later, isn’t it? No matter the monster?”
"I... It's different with you, Y/N," Dean said, his voice barely a whisper in the darkness. "I won't give up on you. We're in this together, remember?" His words hung in the air, a beacon of hope amidst the despair.
But Y/N knew things were far from simple. She was now a part of the underworld they hunted, a creature of the night. “Find me when you have it,” she said before running into the night.
As Y/N disappeared into the pitch black, Dean was left standing alone in the frigid warehouse, her words echoing in his ears. He knew the path ahead was fraught with danger and uncertainty, but he was determined to find a cure and bring Y/N back. No matter what it took, he would not let her become a monster. “You turned her?!” Dean yelled to his father.
John turned and faced Dean, his expression unreadable. "It was necessary," he responded, his voice cold and detached. "This is her consequence for failing us."
Dean's anger flared at his father's words. "You had no right!" he spat, his fists clenching at his sides. "She's not a tool for your twisted training methods, she's family!" The tension between them hung heavy in the air, both men locked in a bitter standoff, their previous hunt forgotten.
John's gaze hardened. "You don't understand, Dean," he said, his voice low and dangerous. "This is the life we lead, the price we pay. Y/N had to learn that one way or another."
“What were you going to do?” Dean asked. “Kill her if I hadn’t found her?”
John's silence was all the answer Dean needed. The realization hit him like a punch to the gut. "I won't let you hurt her anymore," Dean declared, his voice steady despite the fear gnawing at him. "I'll find a cure, and you won't lay a hand on her again. As of right now, we’re done.”
John watched as Dean stormed off into the night, leaving him alone in the abandoned warehouse. He had never seen his son so determined, so protective. And as he stood there, a chilling realization crept over him. He had lost control, not just over Y/N, but over Dean as well.
+++
Dean spent the last year trying to find a cure, which also meant a year of the life he lost with his sister. He was constantly on the move, scouring libraries and reaching out to old contacts for information. Despite the exhaustion and the loneliness, he clung onto the hope that he could bring Y/N back to her human self. When he had found her, he was shocked at the transformation. She was no longer the girl he remembered. Her eyes were darker, her skin paler, and there was a coldness to her that he had never seen before. But in spite of it all, he could still see traces of his sister in her, the strong-willed girl who refused to back down from a challenge.
“Hello, Dean,” she said. Even her voice had changed.
"Y/N," he greeted, his voice filled with a mix of relief and worry. "I found it, the cure. We can make this right." His words hung heavy in the air, a promise he was determined to keep.
“I think I’m okay,” she said bitterly. “Now go, because I don’t want to see you get hurt.”
"But Y/N," Dean pleaded, his voice shaking. "You don't have to live like this. There's a chance for you to go back to your old life." His words echoed in the silence, a desperate plea for the sister he once knew.
“My old life?” she asked a menacing laugh in her. She jumped from the second floor of the shed to the ground, landing gracefully. “You mean the life where I was constantly under John's thumb, forever living in fear of disappointing him? Or the life where I was nothing more than a trainee, never good enough, always a liability?” Her words were like a slap in the face. A reminder that Dean had failed to protect her.
"No," Dean responded, his voice steady despite the hurt in his eyes. "I mean the life where you were my sister, where we looked out for each other, where we were a team." His voice was filled with a quiet desperation, his eyes pleading with her to understand.
“Even then,” she said. "I was a burden, never quite measuring up to your standards, or John's. This is my life now, Dean. I'm not the baby sister you oh-so feel obligated to protect anymore," Y/N said, her voice cold and distant.
"But Y/N," Dean replied, his voice filled with sorrow, "You were never a burden to me. You're my family and I'll do whatever it takes to help you. You don't have to face this alone."
Y/N looked at him, her eyes flashed anger, along with unshed tears. "I don't want your help, Dean. I've made my choice." She turned and walked away, but what she didn’t realize was that Dean had a plan. Bobby, her once surrogate father, and Sam, her brother, were behind her.
Suddenly, her body was pinned to the ground, a stake pressed against her, but not hurting her. Bobby's voice echoed in her ears, "Sorry, kiddo. But we're doing this for your own good." Sam was holding a vial of the cure Dean had found. As the liquid was forced into her mouth, Y/N knew her life was about to change once again.
Her body convulsed as the cure spread through her system, the transformation painful but necessary. The pain was quickly replaced with a sense of relief, as her once heightened senses began to dull and her fangs disappeared. She was human again, brought back from the monstrous existence she had been forced into. "Y/N," Dean's voice was soft, filled with relief and unshed tears. "Welcome back."
“I told you, I WAS FINE!” She said.
"But you weren't, Y/N," Dean replied, his voice filled with pain and concern. "You were hurting and we couldn't stand by and watch. We're your family and we'll always fight for you, no matter what."
“Oh boo fucking hoo,” she said. She could hear Sam stifle a laugh at her comment. They're was no more risks of danger since she was no longer immortal.
“Look, Y/N,” Bobby said sternly. “You have two options. Either come with us and hate us, or be on your own and hate us while being miserable.”
Y/N sighed, looking at the faces of the only family she had left. "Fine," she grumbled, "I'll stick with you guys. But don't expect me to be all sunshine and rainbows about it."
“So,” Sam said as they drove into the night. “How did immortality treat you?”
Y/N rolled her eyes. She was angry at her brothers and angry at herself. She stared out the window. “It was actually great,” she muttered. “I had a life un-ironically.”
"Sounds like a hell of a story," Dean commented, a hint of a smirk playing on his lips. "Maybe one day you'll tell us about it." Y/N merely grumbled in response.
She didn't want to admit to her brothers that they were right. That she was in fact hurting and angry at John and hurting over the betrayal she's felt for nearly a year. However, they were her brothers. And she missed them.

Dean Winchester x Sister reader, Sam Winchester x Sister reader
SUMMARY: Y/n gets kidnapped, but not by anything supernatural.
Word Count: 3.200
WARNINGS: sexual harassment, unwanted touching, injecting drugs.
As always, after the hunt, you went to the Bar before returning to the hotel. You were sitting at a table alone in the bar you entered with your fake ID. When you looked at Sam and Dean, you saw them flirting with girls in separate places. You were starting to get very bored now and you were already very tired. You didn't want to disturb them so you left a note on the napkin on the table saying you were returning to the hotel and left.
When you went outside, you breathed in the fresh air hitting your face. Luckily the hotel was within walking distance, otherwise you would have been sleeping in baby's backseat instead of sleeping in the bed. That's usually what happens when Sam and Dean continue hanging out at the bar, but not this time. The road was deserted except for a few passersby, but you're hunting monsters, what could be worse?
___
At one point, Sam turned his head to look at Y/n. When he couldn't see her, he frowned and searched around with his eyes to see her. He asked permission from the girl he was talking to and went to Dean. "Dean," Dean reluctantly turned to Sam and looked at him as if to say, what's up? “Where is Y/n?”
When Dean heard this, he looked at the table where they left Y/n, shrugged and, "I don't know, maybe she went to the bathroom or something." he said before turning back to the girl he was flirting with.
Moving away from Dean, Sam walked over to Y/n's table and saw the napkin on the table with writing; When he read the note 'I'm going back to the hotel', he sighed, not liking it. It was very late and no matter how close the hotel was, it was dangerous to be out alone at this hour. Beginning to worry about his sister, he decided to return to the hotel. He thought about letting Dean know, but when he looked at him, he didn't seem very available. He took his jacket and walked out of the Bar.
___
When you slowly opened your eyes, you were in a dark room. The musty smell that hit your nose was burning your throat, and you could hear the sound of water dripping from somewhere in the distance. You were lying on the cold concrete floor, the ground so hard it was digging into your bones. When you moved your hands you realized they were tied above your head. You looked up and pulled your hands, but they were fixed to the iron on the wall with handcuffs. You winced at the pain spreading through your wrists and tried to understand what was happening. The last time you saw the illuminated sign of the hotel, but then, it was dark after that. You thought, something must have kidnapped you. This is considered normal when you are a Winchester because many supernatural beings either want to take revenge on you or destroy you.
You were pulled out of your thoughts by the sound of footsteps coming from outside and tried to sit up by pulling yourself up. You saw a shadow pass under the door of the room you were in. You tensed and your breathing started to quicken. You thought about how angry Dean would be with you. You left the Bar without telling them and now you're in trouble. After jingling keys, you heard the sound of a door opening, followed by the voice of a young girl. There was pain and fear in the girl's voice as she begged them to let her go. You straightened your posture in your seat and continued to look under the door. You heard footsteps and another shuffling on the ground and saw shadows passing by the door. Whoever came took the young girl away. You swallowed and looked around, wondering what you could do.
___
When Sam arrived at the hotel, he entered quietly, thinking you were asleep. The room was dark, but with the light coming in from the window, he saw that the beds were empty. He reached out to the light and when he turned it on, he couldn't see you there. The bathroom door was open so he didn't check there. “Where are you, Y/n,” Sam muttered to himself as he pulled out his phone and started calling you. When the phone went straight to voicemail, he frowned and looked at the phone in surprise, you don't keep your phone off, no one would do it. He started looking for you again, but when it happened again, he thought something was wrong and quickly started looking for Dean. After a few rings he heard Dean's gruff voice, "What's it, Sam?"
“Dean, Y/n is gone, I called her but her phone is off.” Sam spoke quickly as he paced back and forth in the hotel room.
With what he heard, Dean quickly stood up from the bar chair he was sitting on and said, "How come, aren't you here?" he asked as he looked around the bar.
Sam angrily put his hand to his forehead, "Dean, after I came to you and asked about Y/n, I went to her desk and found a note there saying she had returned to the hotel, I came to the hotel to check on her but she wasn't here. Apparently she never came here," Sam explained and took a deep breath and looked around blankly.
"I'm coming," Dean said, as he quickly walked out of the bar. His voice sounding harsh and worried.
___
You struggled with the tight iron handcuffs that restricted you for a while, but you couldn't get rid of them. Around his wrists were now red and starting to burn. Dean's 'I need to keep a paperclip with me' line came to mind and you regretted laughing at him then. You need to keep a paperclip with you. You just kept sitting there, hoping Sam and Dean realized you were lost.
"Which room is the new arrival in?"
"Second room from the right, boss."
You pulled yourself together when you heard the voices of two men coming from outside. You heard footsteps again and this time, instead of passing by, the shadow stopped in front of the door of the room you were in. You watched the key slide into the lock and then the door slowly creaked open. You sat up straight and pulled your legs closer.
The man walked in and approached you, stopping and crouching down in front of you. He began to look carefully at her face and then at her body, and said with an evil smile, "Hey, beauty."
No matter how scared you are, you stare at the man and, "What are you?" you asked. The way he looked at you, you thought he was a vampire.
The man tilted his head slightly to the right and, "What am I? girls in your situation usually cower in fear and start to whine and cry, but you," the man spoke slowly and then stopped and put his hands on your hair.
You quickly pulled your head away and stopped the man from touching you, "Don't touch me, filthy creature!" you said sternly.
The man started laughing slowly and then accelerated his laughter and then he grabbed your hair and pulled it back hard and you moaned in pain when he held your chin tightly with his other hand. You felt his breath as the man brought his face closer to yours, "I like you, you play the tough girl and you look very nice," he said. You were startled when he brought his nose to your neck and started sniffing. He looks at you again, “We are going to have so much fun with you, baby.” said.
When you heard what he said, you shivered more than ever. You began to struggle, trying to free yourself from his grip, "Let me go!" You said, but he tightened his grip even more. There were no sharp teeth or black eyes. Strangely, there was nothing supernatural and that scared you, unlike everyone else.
“Relax, baby,” the man said quietly and brought his hand on your chin to his lips, tilting your head hard to the side and starting to kiss your neck, you realized his point and your stomach tightened. This is completely different, this is scary. This man is only human.
You tried to save yourself from his grasp by using all your strength. You were scared most of the time, but this fear was very different. Someone was touching you against your will, sexually. You'd been harassed by punks at the bar a few times, but no one had ever gone this far. Sam and Dean always saved you. You wanted them here so badly. While you were struggling in the man's hand, he continued to kiss you on your neck. You closed your eyes tightly and started screaming, "Let me go, don't touch me. Help me!" Your voice was shaking.
You heard another man outside yelling, "Boss!" The man turned his head to where the voice came from, then looked at you again with terrible and hungry eyes and smiled slightly, "I'll be back soon, sit here nicely, tough girl." He said and left you harshly and left the room.
Your heart was beating like it was going to burst out of place. You took your hands to his neck as much as you could reach and started wiping it. The man's touches made you feel sick to your stomach. You were breathing quickly and this time you started pulling your hands to get rid of the handcuffs holding you. Even though it hurts.
___
It was 3 o'clock in the morning and you had been gone for hours. Dean was watching the street camera footage over and over again, which they had somehow accessed. In the recordings, they saw a man coming behind you put something over your mouth and you struggled to get away from him but then fainted. A car was approaching you and they were throwing you into it and driving away. Dean clenched his fists and jaw as he watched the footage. He turned to Sam and, "Sam, have you still not been able to find her location on her phone?" asked. There was impatience in his voice, full of anger at those who had kidnapped his sisters.
"I found it," Sam quickly stood up from his chair and approached Dean, "It's location appears to be at a warehouse half an hour from here." When he explained, Dean took his jacket and opened the hotel room door hard, Sam followed him and they got into the baby.
"What do you think they are?" Sam asked, "Could it be that guy who escaped us during the last vampire hunt?" As Dean drove quickly, Sam could see his anger and concern when he looked at him. He was worried about his sister too, but they had to know what they were facing and act accordingly. "Dean?"
"I don't know, but whoever he is, I'm going to make him regret doing this, Sam!" Dean said sternly.
When Sam saw the warehouse, he warned Dean, "Hey wait, I saw the warehouse up ahead, let's leave the car here."
After Dean parked the car, they went to the trunk and got their guns. They made a plan among themselves and entered the warehouse carefully.
___
The man did not come back for what seemed like hours. You felt a little relieved, but then you started hearing voices again. You swallowed and leaned your back against the wall and got as small as you could. The guy walked in and started coming at you, "Hey tough girl, how's it going? Are you happy with our service?" he mocked you.
“Stay away from me,” you said as if it would do any good.
The man spread his ugly smile on his face and reached into his pocket and took out a needle. "Look what I have here for you," he said, waving the syringe in his hand. "When I do this to you, all your muscles will gradually relax and then," the man continued talking after looking at you for a while, "The fun will begin." he added.
You moved when you saw the syringe. You wanted to run away but you knew you couldn't so you stayed there. With what the man said, the fear inside him grew even more.
The man grabbed your head harshly and pressed it against the wall behind you. You tried to get away from his hand as he brought the needle closer to your neck, but it was no use, as it had been so far. You closed your eyes tightly and started screaming, "Help!", hoping someone would save you.
Sam and Dean looked at each other when they heard you shouts, and then without thinking, they ran towards where the sound came from. Your voice fell silent as they entered a long narrow corridor that confronted them.
"Stay where you are!" the other man behind them said, pointing his gun at Sam's head. Sam started and looked at Dean standing in front of him.
Dean's gaze was hard and his jaw clenched as he whirled around and pointed his gun at the man.
The man held his head up as he looked at Dean, "Drop the gun or I'll shoot him!" he said, pressing the barrel of the gun in his hand to Sam's head.
Dean continued to insistently point his gun at the man, "Where's my sister!?" asked.
The man frowned and began to grin, "Which one is your sister?" the man asked. "Put that gun down or I'll shoot him!"
Dean continued to stare at the man, not understanding what they were in for, and noticing the seriousness on his face, he slowly began to lean in to drop his gun, "Okay, I'll drop it," he said and winked at Sam.
No one came to your cries for help, and the man injected the medicine in the syringe into your neck. A few seconds after giving the shot, you started to relax. You were loosening up, but the fear inside you was still there.
"Did you like it?" the man asked as he unlocked the cuffs on his wrists. He grabbed you by your arms, laid you on your back on the hard ground and started caressing your face with the back of his hand. "You are both a tough girl and beautiful." You wanted to escape from the man's touches, but no part of you could hold it, only tears were flowing involuntarily from your eyes. This time, with a disgusting expression on his face, the man took his hands to the front of his shirt and started unbuttoning it.
Sam understood Dean and quickly reached for the man's hand holding the gun and pushed him into the void, causing the gun to go off. When he hit the man in the face with his elbow, the man stumbled backwards. “Dean, I have that, you find Y/n!” Sam said.
When Dean saw the man coming from a door at the end of the corridor, he pointed his gun at him. The man raised his hands and said, "Don't shoot, I surrender." he shouted in fear. Dean realized that the man thought he was a cop, so he walked towards him, grabbed the man by the collar, and pushed him hard against the wall, "Where the hell is my sister!?" Dean asked the man angrily.
When the man slowly turned his head to the left, Dean did the same and saw you lying on the ground. You were looking at your older brother and slowly tried to reach out your hand towards him as if asking for help. When Dean saw you like that, his anger rushed to his mind and he turned to the man and, "What did you do to her!?" he yell.
"Nothing, I just gave him medication," the man, breathing rapidly in Dean's hands he admitted.
Dean punched the guy hard, knocking him out before quickly coming over to you, “Hey honey, I'm here, I'm here,” he picked you up off the ground and leaned you against his chest.
You felt his warmth and relief as he held you against him. You still felt lethargic, but you were much better than before. “Dean,” you mumbled, “I'm sorry, please don't be mad.”
Dean brushed your hair back and looked into your face as he continued to hold you tightly, “I won't be mad at you darling, it's not your fault.” he said in a soft voice.
"It's just people, Dean. He, he, me," you spoke slowly, unable to continue, you closed your eyes tightly and hid in your brother's chest.
Dean understood you and continued to hold you tightly, "Shh, it's okay, I'm here."
At that moment, Sam walked in and when he saw you on the ground, he thought you were injured and ran towards you. "Is she okay or injured?" he asked in a worried tone.
"She's not injured," Dean said. Sam breathed a sigh of relief and leaned down to see your face, but then he turned back to Dean and started looking at with curious eyes.
Dean, “Y/n, look at me darling,” said gently.
When you slowly lifted your head, you didn't notice that Sam saw you were unbuttoned.
Dean hated to ask this, but he needed to know. "Darling, did that man hurt you, I mean,"
When you interrupted him and shook your head quickly from left to right and leaned forward, you saw how open his buttons were and quickly tried to cover yourself by holding them with your hand. They are your brothers but this was so embarrassing right now.
Realizing what was happening, Sam clenched his teeth and continued to stare at you.
“Okay, no problem, Y/n, I got you.” Dean murmured into your ear as he slowly lifted you off the floor to pick you up.
Sam opened the baby's back door and Dean gently eased you into the backseat before closing the door and turning to Sam, "Stay with her, I'll be right back." he said in a harsh tone. He returned to the warehouse with dark eyes.
Sam knew he couldn't stop her, and he didn't want to stop her right now anyway. He sat next to you and when he saw you were shivering, he took off his jacket and placed it around your shoulders. "There you go little sister, now you'll get warm." He said and put his arm around your shoulder, gently pulling you towards him. You hugged him tightly and started listening to his heartbeat. This was something you did at night when you woke up from nightmares. You needed this so much now, to feel their presence. You closed your eyes and just fell asleep.
Dean got into the driver's seat and turned to look at you to see Sam asleep on his lap. She ignored the blood on her knuckles as she placed her hands on the steering wheel and started the car to drive back to the hotel, "We're never leaving her alone again, Sam." he said.

a little mini series for you, I hope you like!
Tumblr media
All my life, the only thing I ever wanted was to be noticed.
I wanted my parents to notice when I had done well on a test that was hard for me.
I wanted my friends to notice when I was quiet or felt out of the loop.
I desperately wanted that cute guy in my biology class to notice that I had spent the entire semester taking detailed notes just so I could help him study.
I just wanted someone, anyone to notice me.
It was never me though.
It was always my older brother Jared.
It was like he always had to one up me.
Nothing was ever mine.
For example, whenever I would ace a test, Jared would somehow be offered some prestigious award for academics.
He hung out with all the popular guys, and the girls practically threw themselves at him.
It was like he didn’t even have to try.
It's only gotten worse since he'd landed a starring role on the new hit show Supernatural.
Jared didn't know if they would even make it past the first season, but the show was an instant success. It catapulted him to stardom. Girls from all over the world were crazed about my brother.
It kind of grossed me out.
I had to admit, I was getting a lot of recognition now too, but it was always (y/n) Padalecki, sister of Jared, and never just (y/n).
I mean I love my brother to death, he's the best, but sometimes it would feel nice not to be so, so invisible.
I stretched my muscles with a sigh.
I had finally landed in Canada.
I was going to be visiting Jared for awhile, while they filmed season two of supernatural. I missed him like crazy.
I was also taking a much needed break from fashion school in New York.
"Moose!" I squealed, spotting the top of my brother's head.
I could hear Jared groan from across the airport. I chuckled as he hated being called Moose.
I pushed through the crowd of people, finally seeing my brothers dorky face.
He rolled his eyes before pulling me in to a bone crushing hug.
"I missed you moose." I said as I squeezed him.
"I missed you too brat." Jared laughs.
He lets me go, setting me back on my feet.
"come on, Jensen's waiting for us back at our house." Jared said grabbing my bag.
"wait you and Jensen are living together?" I asked, my cheeks tinting with a blush.
"yeah, we decided to just rent a place together this season, it'll be easier, is that okay?"
"mmhmm." I nodded not trusting my voice to formulate an actual answer.
Jensen Ackles.
my brother's crazy hot co-star.
and according to him, best friend, besides me of course.
I met Jensen before they started filming season one.
Jared and Jensen went on "bonding" trips together, I guess to make playing brother's more believable. I had been invited on a few. Of course I was always pushed to wayside, but I didn't mind.
It gave me the opportunity to gawk at the eye candy that is Jensen Ackles.
He wasn't just hot though.
He was more complex then that.
He was kind, he was funny, he was easy to get along with.
and I was completely crushing on him.
It didn’t matter though.
It wasn't like he noticed me.
I was completely off his radar.
"how's design school?" Jared asked breaking the silence.
"I just needed a break I guess. It's a cutthroat industry, and I don't know if I'm cut out for it." I admitted.
"what of course you are, you're insanely talented! I mean why do think I always call you before award shows? I trust you to make sure I don't look like a dork!" Jared laughed.
"well I hate to break it to you moose, but you always look like a dork, the clothes aren't going to help you." I smirked, earning a punch to the arm.
"ugh thanks to you the entire supernatural cast calls me moose now!" Jared groans.
"well if the shoe fits." I shrugged earning another punch to the arm.
"I could always call you gigantor, if you like that better." I added pushing my brother's buttons.
"I think we'll stick with moose."
Jared pulls in to a condominium.
It's beautiful, fit for celebrities I guess.
"wow, living the high life I see." I said as my eyes traveled around the luxurious condo.
"It's definitely crazy."
I gazed at my brother, seeing his shoulders slumped over.
I can't imagine how he was feeling.
I mean his life basically changed overnight. He can't go out now without girls flocking him. He has no privacy.
I know he won’t let it show, but I could tell the pressure that comes along with his new found fame gets to him sometimes.
I walked over to my brother wrapping my arms around his tall frame, squeezing him again.
"I'm really glad you're here brat, it's kind of nice to have some sense of normalcy." Jared said running a hand through my hair.
"hate you." I whispered with a smile.
"hate you too." Jared smirked.
I stepped away from Jared, just as the door flung open revealing Jensen.
"is that baby moose I hear out here? "
I swallowed harshly as he came over wrapping his arms around me in a hug. I felt the blood rush to my cheeks and I hugged him back, nonchalantly taking in his sweet scent.
"Hi J." I said quietly.
Jensen stepped back, letting his eyes rake over me. I couldn't help but shrink under his gaze.
It was intimidating.
I took this time to stare at him too.
He's different.
His muscles were more defined now, signifying he'd been working out for the role.
His hair was still short but messy.
He had a very light stubble on his face that made his jawline more defined.
He looked good.
Better than good.
He looked sexy.
I heard Jared clear his throat loudly, making me tear my eyes away from Jensen. A heat spread throughout my body.
I wondered what Jensen was thinking.
"Jensen and I have a meeting with the director, I'll uh help you take your things in and then you can get settled while we're gone." Jared said.
I nodded my head as Jared grabbed my bag from the trunk, taking it inside.
"it's nice to see you baby moose." Jensen said offering me a cheeky smile before getting in the car.
I bit my lip, hiding the blush that spread to my cheeks. I followed Jared in to the house, which was even more extravagant on the inside.
"I guess it pays to be famous." I said spinning around to get a complete view.
"I'm not famous, just lucky." Jared laughed.
"yeah that's why a fangirl followed me around in the grocery store the other day, asking me a million questions about you."
"wait that actually happens?" Jared laughed.
"more times than I would care to admit." I said joining in Jared's laughter.
our laughter died down, a comfortable silence settling in between us.
"uh your room is upstairs, the third door on the right, next to Jensen's, you sure you're going to be okay here?" Jared asked handing me my duffle bag.
"I think I'll manage."
"I'll be back soon."
Jared placed a kiss on my forehead, before going out to join Jensen in the car. I watched them drive away before going to find my room.
Jensen
Jared got in the car giving me a stern look.
"what?" I asked innocently.
"don't what me, dude that's my sister." Jared growled.
"I have no idea what you're talking about." I smirked.
"just keep your eyes away from my sister."
"I wasn't even looking." I laughed as I pulled out of the drive way heading over to the studio.
I was looking though.
She was different.
She looked different.
Her hair was longer.
She definitely grew in to her body.
She was no longer the lanky girl I had come to know.
I would be lying if I said my eyes didn't linger on her now defined chest.
She looked good.
Better than good.
She looked beautiful.
Fuck.
I shouldn't be thinking like this.
I mean this was my best friend's sister.
I know Jared would kill me if he knew I was thinking this way.
I better stop.
I didn’t want to though.
"hello, earth to Jensen." Jared said waving a hand in front of my face.
"sorry man, what did you say?"
"I asked if you were coming."
I looked up seeing we were in the parking lot of the studio.
I wasn't sure when we arrived, or how we arrived in one piece considering I wasn't paying attention.
"uh yeah sorry, just thinking about this meeting." I lied smoothly.
I just hope I can focus enough so I don't lose my job.
Reader
I finally settled in, unpacking my things and familiarizing myself with the layout of the house. It's been over two hours and the boys still aren't home.
I heard my stomach rumble.
I was starving.
I walked down to the kitchen, opening the fridge. I saw some ham and cheese.
Oh gosh a sandwich sounds good right now. I looked around in the cabinets, looking for the bread.
I finally found it, high up on a shelf.
Moose.
He needs to learn that not everyone is as freakishly tall as he is.
I stood on my tiptoes reaching for it, but alas I didn't get the height genes that Jared had. I huffed blowing a piece of hair from my face. I stood on my tiptoes trying again.
I heard a chuckle from behind me, causing me to snap my head back.
"need some help there baby moose?"
I blushed a deep red as Jensen came up behind me, reaching the bread with ease.
I could feel the heat radiating from his body just from the proximity.
I wondered what it would be like to be this close to him in a heated moment.
I let my imagination run wild for a moment before realizing he still lingered behind me.
He cleared his throat before stepping away.
I let out a shaky breath I didn't know I was holding.
"thanks." I whispered shyly.
"you know for a baby moose, you aren't all that tall." Jensen smirked.
"yeah, no Jar stole all those genes." I said causing him to chuckle.
"well baby moose I will gladly reach the bread for you anytime." Jensen said making me blush harder.
I'm sure I looked like an idiot from how bad I was blushing over his words.
"uh is Jared back?" I managed to choke out.
"uh not yet, they needed him to shoot a promo for the new season, he asked me to come check on you." Jensen said sitting down at the kitchen island.
I rolled my eyes at his protectiveness.
I was twenty two now.
I didn't need a babysitter.
"Jared still thinks I need a babysitter." I spoke as I took out two pieces of bread starting to make a sandwich.
"he's just worried about you."
"I can handle myself."
"I have no doubt about that." Jensen said.
I snuck a glance at him, accidentally meeting his eyes. He wore a smirk on his plump lips that got my heart racing.
"I have to, I mean now that you two are like major celebrities." I laughed.
"okay, hang on I was major celebrity before supernatural." Jensen joked.
I rolled my eyes throwing my cheese wrapper at him.
He dodged it with ease laughing at my antics.
"of course how I could I forget your starring role on Dawson's Creek."
"I don't know because I definitely made season six of that show." Jensen laughed.
“I never watched it.” I shrugged.
Okay that wasn’t exactly the truth.
I did watch it.
I watched it for him.
“well we’ll definitely have to change that.” Jensen said getting up from the island.
I let my eyes linger on his form as it retreated up the stairs.
I was hopeless.
I was completely hooked on someone I would never have.
I sighed sitting down and digging in to my sandwich. I didn’t realize how hungry I was.
I heard the door open, seeing Jared walk in.
He sat down beside me taking the other half of my sandwich.
“I made that for me you ass!” I whined hitting his chest.
“yeah out of my fridge!”
I rolled my eyes.
He had a point.
“how was your meeting?” I asked as we ate.
“really good, we’re all excited for filming to start.”
I wondered what it would be like to be on camera. I definitely didn’t have a face or body for film.
“actually there’s this party tomorrow, for the cast, kind of like a kick off to the new season, do you want to come with me?” Jared asked.
I was never a big fan of parties.
Jared always tried to get me to go to high school parties but it was never my thing.
“I guess, but just for you.” I said booping his nose.
I finished my sandwich, making sure to clean up after myself.
“I’m uh going to head to bed early, I’m exhausted from the flight.” I said giving Jared a hug.
I jogged up the steps towards my room. I felt the heat radiating from the bathroom as I passed it.
I could see the door was slightly cracked.
I peaked in seeing Jensen in only a towel.
He was wiping the condensation off the mirror.
I couldn’t stop my eyes from traveling over his toned chest and back.
I swallowed the lump in my throat as I stared.
I would give anything to be able to run my hands down his body.
I bit my lip, forcing my body to move away from the door before I was caught staring.
I crashed on to the bed, letting my thoughts linger on the gorgeous man.
I wondered what his lips tasted like.
I wondered how it would feel to have his hands caressing my body as we kissed.
I wondered how his body would feel on top of mine.
I choked back a moan as I thought about him in such an intimate way.
A loud knock on my door tore me away from my thoughts.
I quickly sat up, I could feel just how flushed I was.
“uh come in.” I squeaked.
I was surprised when Jensen came in setting a laptop on my bed. I gave him a confused look as he typed away.
“Dawson’s Creek season six.” He smiled turning the laptop towards me.
I laughed as I brought the laptop to my lap.
“I’ll leave you to it.” Jensen said walking towards the door.
“aren’t you going to watch it with me?” I asked slightly disappointed.
“oh no, I never watch myself on tv, but make sure you pay attention cause I’m going to quiz you tomorrow.” He said.
I rolled my eyes at his antics.
“Goodnight Jensen.”
“Goodnight baby moose.”
I hit play, even though I had already seen every episode he was in.
I watched anyways.
I watched until I couldn’t keep my eyes open.
I watched until I fell into a deep slumber, plagued by dreams of a man I know I would never have.
I woke up to a light pounding on my door. It was bright out, but still appeared to be early morning.
Jared strode in wearing running gear.
It was nice to see he still took his morning runs.
It was something that always made him feel at peace, helped with his anxiety.
“ugh what time is it?” I groaned throwing a pillow over my head to block out the sun.
“five am, come on a run with me.” Jared beamed.
“Jared normal people don’t go for runs at five in the morning.”
“good thing you’re far from normal.” Jared joked pulling the pillow away from my face.
“I don’t want to go for a run, I want to sleep.” I pouted.
“pretty please, for me?”
I glanced up at Jared to see him giving me the puppy dog eyes.
Damn.
He knows I can’t say no to his puppy dog eyes.
“you better get me an extra large cup of coffee after this.” I groaned throwing my legs over the side of the bed.
I threw on some workout clothes, making my way downstairs. I was surprised to see Jensen standing in the kitchen in workout gear.
Fuck.
I was uncoordinated, and the last thing I wanted to do was run in front of Jensen.
“you managed to get baby moose to come, impressive.” Jensen smirked.
I rolled my eyes grabbing a bottle of water.
“I uh hope you didn’t stay awake too long watching your new favorite show.” Jensen said laughing.
“It was alright, Pacey is definitely my favorite character.” I shot back walking past him towards the door where Jared was waiting.
“and what about CJ?”
“I mean he was alright in the beginning I guess, turned in to kind of a dick.”
“oh yeah how so?”
“I mean he did sleep with Audrey even though he knew Jen was in to him, kind of a dick move.” I shrugged.
Jensen huffed rolling his eyes.
“I didn’t write the script.” Jensen shrugged.
“It might’ve been better if you did.” I said, giving him one last glance before starting to jog.
I jogged at a steady pace, close behind Jared and Jensen.
I was smaller then both of them, so I took smaller strides.
I have to admit I did feel at peace.
I enjoyed the gentle morning canadian breeze nipping at my cheeks.
I was taking in all the beautiful sights around me.
I liked it here.
It seemed like we weren’t jogging for long before we were stopping at a little coffee shop.
“I believe I owe you an extra large cup of coffee.” Jared said glancing at me.
“I believe you are correct.”
“I’ll be right back, you want anything J?” Jared asked turning towards Jensen.
“nah man I’m alright.”
Jared nodded at us before disappearing inside the coffee shop.
It was silent as I stared at the quiet street, the town not quite awake yet.
“did you really hate CJ?” Jensen spoke making me glance at him.
“I think hate is a strong word, more thoroughly disliked him.” I laughed.
Jensen furrowed his eyebrows as I chuckled.
Was this bothering him?
“I like the guy who plays him better.” I spoke, not thinking about how it sounded.
I felt my cheeks heat up as I realized what I just said.
“oh well good.” Jensen responded, rubbing his neck nervously.
I was about to respond when Jensen grabbed my arm pulling me to his chest.
“Careful!” he shrieked as the coffee shop door flung open, almost smacking me in the face.
I swallowed nervously as he stared down at me, our bodies pressed together.
It felt even better than I had imagined.
“thanks for that.” I whispered tearing my eyes away from his.
I felt as if my heart would jump out of my chest at any moment from how fast it was beating.
I could feel his eyes lingering on me.
Jensen carefully tucked a piece of hair behind my ear that had fallen from my ponytail.
I shivered at his touch, feeling as if my body was suddenly engulfed in flames.
It felt good to be touched by him.
It felt heavenly.
I quickly jumped away from him, hearing Jared’s voice reappearing.
“what’s going on?” Jared asked looking between me and Jensen.
“uh baby moose is as clumsy as you say.” Jensen smirked, causing Jared to laugh.
I rolled my eyes taking my coffee from Jared.
I walked back to the condo as Jensen and Jared jogged ahead.
I was taking time to sip my coffee.
I was taking time to control my racing heart.
what in the world happened back there?
I had to pinch myself to make sure I wasn’t dreaming.
Ouch.
Okay that hurt.
and I’m not dreaming.
I bit my lip trying to fight the smile that made it’s way to my face.
I have no idea what that was.
but I liked it.
I liked it a lot.
I made it back to the condo, being informed that the boys had to go to the studio to shoot more promos for the new season, and that they’d be back to get me for the party tonight. I gave them a wave, crashing on to the couch from exhaustion.
I remember now why I don’t run at five in the morning.
I grabbed a blanket off the couch, curling up to catch a few more hours of sleep.
I woke up around noon, sleeping later than I would’ve liked.
I got up making myself some breakfast.
I passed the time watching more Dawson’s Creek.
It wasn’t like I had anything else to do.
It was starting to get later, I needed to get ready for this party.
I grabbed a simple mini dress throwing it on.
I glanced at my reflection in the mirror.
I didn’t completely hate what I saw.
I didn’t love it either.
I wasn’t anything exceptional.
It was no wonder I was so invisible.
I heard the boys come back home, stomping up the stairs like a herd of elephants.
I put a light coat of makeup on, before brushing through my hair.
I heard my door opening, making me glance over.
Jared stood there in a button up and some jeans.
“you look beautiful.” Jared smiled.
“thanks moose, you look, well very moose like.” I laughed as Jared gave me an annoyed look.
“come on brat, it’s time to go.” Jared said rolling his eyes.
I grabbed my purse, following him down the stairs. Jensen stood there waiting, wearing an outfit similar to Jared’s.
He looked handsome.
He looked flawless.
I could feel his eyes linger on me as I descended the staircase.
“ready to go?” Jensen asked looking at me and Jared.
I nodded my head nervously.
I didn’t like parties.
I would suffer through this one for Jared.
and maybe a little bit to be with Jensen.
I played with the hem of my dress as Jensen drove. It was a silent car ride, nobody bothering to make conversation.
I sighed as Jensen pulled up to the studio.
I hesitantly got out, already overwhelmed with the number of cars in the parking lot.
I could feel the nerves taking over my body making it shake slightly.
I felt a hand on my shoulder making me relax a little.
“it’s going to be okay, just stick with me.” Jared said offering a smile.
I gave him a forced one, following him and Jensen inside.
Jensen disappeared immediately when we got in, going to hug various cast and crew members.
I have to admit I got a little jealous watching him hug multiple women.
It wasn’t like I had a right to be.
Jensen looked right through me.
I just had to accept that.
“I want you to meet Jim.” Jared said grabbing my hand and pulling me to an older gentleman.
I made sure to act super polite as I met various cast and crew members that I hadn’t met the first season.
I felt like Jared’s shadow as he made his way around the room. I didn’t know anyone really except for Jensen and Jeffery Dean Morgan.
I had already talked to Jeff for a little so now I had nothing else to do except following Jared around like a lost puppy dog.
It was exhausting listening to conversations I didn’t really care about.
I needed some air.
I quietly slipped out the door, not that anyone would notice I was gone.
Jared was too busy basking in the limelight.
I was happy for him, don’t get me wrong, it’s just hard to be in his shadow sometimes.
I sighed looking around the studio parking lot. A bunch of trailers sat on the lot, with names of cast members etched on the doors. I found the one that said Jared Padalecki, and took a seat on the steps.
It was a beautiful night out.
It was quiet.
I took a deep breath blowing it out of my nose in a huff.
“you know the parties inside right?”
I jumped as Jensen’s voice took me by surprise.
“geez Jensen I never noticed how observant you were.” I joked rolling my eyes at him.
“not a fan of parties huh?”
“uh not really, they were always sort of Jared’s thing.” I answered with a shrug.
“yeah they’re not so much my thing either, too many people.” Jensen said.
I nodded my head, an awkward silence falling between us.
“uh do you want to see my trailer?” Jensen asked.
I felt the all too familiar heat creep up my spine.
“uh okay.” I whispered, flushed.
Jensen extended his hand pulling me to my feet.
It turns out his trailer was right beside Jared’s. He opened the door allowing me to step in.
It had his wardrobe for Dean in it, a small couch, a mini fridge, and a bathroom. I let my fingers graze over his costumes, observing a few articles closely.
“It’s nice.” I smiled plopping on the couch.
It was rather comfy for a small sofa.
“perks of being like a major celebrity.” Jensen smirked, quoting me from yesterday.
Jensen sat down beside me, our bodies just inches from each other due to the small size of the sofa.
“I’m uh glad you’re here baby moose, Jared’s a lot happier when you are.” Jensen said giving me a smile.
“I’m glad I’m here too.”
It was quiet, another awkward silence falling between us.
“we should probably head back inside, people are going to wonder where we are.” Jensen said standing up.
I stood up too.
“wondering where you are maybe, in case you haven’t noticed I’m pretty good at being invisible.” I said with a slight frown.
“well I can see you.”

Hold on Kid
Dean Winchester x sister!reader
Warnings: angst, death, slight blood mention, heartbreak, let me know if I missed anything
Summary: I suck at these and if I tried, I’d probably wreck it. Hunt gone wrong is the best description I got.
Word Count: 3,999
AN: This is my first post here so be gentle. Enjoy
Life as a hunter was complicated. Naturally, you make enemies with the monsters who knew those you killed. Some wanted revenge, others hated that their kind was killed. Then, there was being a hunter and a Winchester at the same time. Not only do you make normal enemies like all the other hunters, but you make enemies simply because of your last name.
I was the baby of the Winchester family, being nearly six years younger than Sam and almost a decade younger than Dean. After the fire at their home, John took his boys on a journey across the country to hunt down the monster that killed his wife and left him and his boys without a home. He met my mom five years later and after nine months, I joined the family, only for my mother to vanish one night. John had taken me on the road with them after she disappeared, often leaving me with Bobby while he took my older brothers to hunt the simpler cases.
Despite the age difference and the fact that we were “half” siblings, my brothers were the best people in the entire world. Sam and Dean treated me no differently than how they treated each other. I was let in on jokes and taken to diners and bars with them once I was old enough to drive, often driving a drunk Dean and a tipsy Sam back to our motel for the night.
They taught me to hunt the right way. Started me off on simple cases with plenty of back up, making sure I did all the research necessary and never went anywhere alone until they were sure I was capable of taking care of nearly every monster in the book. I was comfortable fighting off nearly any monster, all but djinns.
Those creatures scared the hell out of me. I knew that Sam and Dean had faced enough of them in the past, but I was still fairly new around them and the cases involving them. The fact that they strung up their victims and essentially trapped them in their own minds was horrifying to me, and I’ve taken heads clean off vamp’s bodies.
So, when a case came up that practically screamed djinn, the boys double checked with me every hour, asking if I was ok and still good to attack once the sun went down.
“Guys, I’ll be fine. They just creep me out.” I tried calming my worried brothers. “I can manage it.”
“We never doubted you on handling it.” Sam defended gently, cleaning his gun at the table of our motel room. “We just want to make sure you’re comfortable. We don’t want anything happening to you.”
“I mean, come on kid, we just want you to be safe. I know how much these things freak you out.” Dean added to the conversation from his laid-back spot on his bed.
I sent both brothers a soft glare. “And I appreciate that. But I’ll be fine.”
_____
Flash forward to a few hours later, I was sprawled out on the top floor of the large, abandoned barn, metal rebar sticking out of my stomach and my brothers firing shots down on the floor below me. We had been wrong on our intel, it was more than just one djinn, a whole family of six popping out of the shadows when we burst in. One of the younger women had caught me by surprise, nearing stringing me up but ended with a magazine of rounds to the head.
“Dean.” I tried calling out for my oldest brother, attempting to drag myself closer to the stairs so he’d be able to hear me over the fight. “Sammy.”
Neither of my brothers were answering, my head leaning back to rest against the floor as I took in a few deep breaths. My hands shook as I placed them around the metal, making sure to not move it but add enough pressure to the surrounding skin to help stop the flow of blood. I had been taught that keeping the object in could potentially save your life, especially if it were holding an artery closed.
With neither of my big brothers answering my desperate pleas for help, I resulted in closing my eyes and praying to the angel who kept tabs on us. “Castiel.” I spoke his full name. “Dean and Sammy can’t hear me. I need help. I think I’m dying Cas.” Tears gathered in my eyes as I spoke to the angel who had become a best friend over the years. “Please, I’m so scared Cas.” No answer came from the angel, but he was busy with heavenly issues that us hunters would never know of.
After a few more strangled calls to my brothers, heavy boots finally began climbing the stairs. “Hey kid, did you manage to take them…” Dean’s voice cut off abruptly when my eyes met his. “Kid. Sammy!” Dean practically growled down the stairs, rushing the last few steps and coming to a stop beside me. “Hey, kid, you ok? What happened?”
“She didn’t like my jokes.” I tried lightening the mood as Dean pushed my hands away to take in the damage. “Everyone likes my jokes.” Dean set his blade down on the floor beside me, yanking both his jacket and his flannel off, quickly balling the shirt material and pressing it down around the metal.
A pained scream ripped through my throat at the pressure, white hot pain exploding in my stomach. “I know, kid, but we gotta keep the pressure. You’re doing great.” He turned over his shoulder. “Sammy!” His green eyes met mine then, the fear and anger flooding the bright colors that always brought me comfort. “You keep those eyes on me kid, you hear me? Keep lookin’ at me.”
I couldn’t take my eyes off him even if I wanted to. Sure, Sam and Dean were my brothers, but they practically raised me when John was out hunting. Sam was the overprotective big brother in every sense of the term. He walked me to and from classes, dropped me off for any projects that needed to be done and practically ran background checks on all of my friends at school.
Dean, he was protective but in a whole other way. While Sam took on that big brother role, Dean was basically the father I wanted. He made sure I got to do kid stuff, pulled me from school to play hooky, sat with me after bad dreams, played with me as a kid, and sat with me for my first heart break. He was the one that taught me to drive, to hunt, and to live however I wanted. I could get away with absolutely anything with Dean since all he ever wanted for me was to grow up happy and loved.
So, staring up into Dean’s eyes as blood soaked into my shirt and coated his hands, I knew I was going to be safe, no matter the outcome of this injury. Dean would take care of me until the day I stopped breathing, he had just hoped that it would be a long time after he had gone.
“Hold on kid, Sam’s coming. He’s got what we need. You just hold on.” His eyes were fogged over with tears, and he aggressively rubbed them into his shoulders to clear his vision. “Kid, talk to me. I gotta hear you talk.”
“I love you.” I managed to get out, though I wasn’t sure he heard much of it. My hands had stopped shaking and a coldness was seeping into my skin as I watched Dean’s eyes widen ever so slightly.
“No, kid you gotta say something else. OK? That can’t be all you got for me.” His left hand moved from the wound and gently brushed some hair back out of my face. “You gotta tell me this joke that the bitch on the floor didn’t laugh at. I’m sure it was your best.”
The world was becoming foggy the longer I stared into the green eyes that always brought me comfort. They mixed into the slight green tint the ceiling had from years of neglect and abuse from the weather. Dean, my big brother, who was always there for me when I needed, who would drive all day and all night just to get to me after a fight with John or Bobby about hunting. The brother who literally went through hell to save Sammy and negotiated with a witch for my life. The father I always needed and wanted in my life.
The pain in my stomach had gone numb and my hands had pretty much stopped moving all together as I watched Dean scream for Sam yet again. “Come on kid, just a little longer. You hold on a little longer kid, I got you. Dean’s got you kid.” That nickname was something he only ever used for me. It was his term of endearment to the little girl he raised. “Talk to me, please.” The last word was a heart shattering plead that helped focus my eyes for one final moment.
“I love you dad.” The line slipped from my lips half a second before my eyes got too heavy to keep open any longer and the world faded into back.
_____
Dean’s sure he never cried so hard in his life. He had lost so many people throughout his life that he was pretty used to hearing news of someones passing. But watching the color leave his baby sister’s skin, watch the light drain from her eyes, and listen to those Earth-shattering words fall from her lips as she bled out into his hands sealed it for him. He had just lost his world, his little sister that he had raised practically since she was born; he just lost his little girl.
Sam came clomping up the stairs as quick as his long legs could carry him, just not quick enough. He swore his heart stopped in his chest when he found his older brother crouched over his younger sister, blood coating the floors, and sobs racking Dean’s chest. Sam’s chest felt like someone sent a fist straight through his ribs, ripping his lungs out in the process. His knees hit the floor a few feet from where Dean was crouched over, eyes locked on his older brother’s back.
Dead’s head came to rest against his sisters, near silent pleas to wake up falling from his lips as tears dripped from his eyes. Prayers to Castiel or any angel listening following. The oldest Winchester had told himself that he would never beg for anything, never allow someone to have that kind of control over himself, but here he was, begging to the body of his little girl and to any angel listening to let her wake up, to let her live and take him instead.
The soft, unmistakable sound of fluttering wings caught both Winchester boy’s attention enough for them to turn. There stood Castiel, with his big brother Gabriel at his side, watching the young girl on the ground continue to bleed, though much slower now, through the shirt of her oldest brother.
“Cas.” Dean had locked eyes on his favorite angel. “Please, there’s gotta be something you can do.” Castiel swears he’s never heard Dean Winchester sound this broken before, never heard him plead this softly. “I can’t lose her. I can’t lose my kid.” Another wave of tears fought its way up through Dean’s chest, nearly choking him on the sobs coming from his body.
Gabriel was at a loss for words. Never had he been around the Winchester boys and not get a snappy comment or crude joke thrown his way, but here he was, looking down at two very broken Winchesters. Gabriel could sense the pain and worry coming from his brother, knowing that the younger angel couldn’t do anything for the Winchester girl. Cas had only barely begun to learn how to pull someone back when they were in the veil and looking down on themselves, not quite taken by the reapers yet. So, with the flutter of his wings, Gabriel went off to do the one thing he knew could help the two brothers.
_____
The pain in my chest was unbearable as I watched Dean cry, his hands not leaving my wound, his voice faintly pleading for me to come back to him.
“I tried to stay with you Dean. I’m so sorry I couldn’t.” My voice was barely even a whisper as I tried to hold in my tears. Sam was knelt down a few feet back from Dean, tears staining his cheeks and making his hair stick to his face. “I’m so sorry Sammy.”
Everything around me seemed to move in slow motion. Sounds muddled together and lights seemed to blur the picture before me, but that all too familiar sound of flapping wings would grab my attention any day. I turned away from my sobbing brothers to face the Archangel Gabriel himself.
“Gabe?” A crack snuck its way into my words. “Is that really you?”
“Hey there sweetness.” He winked, arms crossing over his chest. “I thought I told you to stay breathing last I left.”
I nodded, instantly running over to him. His arms opened enough for me to slot myself against his chest, tears leaking onto his shirt. His hands came to rest on me, one against my back and one in my hair, pulling me closer to his body. “What happens now?” I questioned the angel as I held tighter to his waist.
“Well, we can hang here and wait for the reaper to come take you up to heaven, or…” I cut him off before he could continue.
“Or you can take me?” I questioned; my eyes now turned to get what I thought would be the last glimpses of my brothers.
Gabriel pulled back, hands on my shoulders to get me to look at him. “Haven’t I told you to let me finish before you jump to conclusions?” I nodded against his chest and waited for him to continue. “Or I could take you back to your brothers. Let you live a little longer.”
Everything in me froze, not believing what he said to be true. “You can do that? Bring me back?” His honey-colored eyes were already looking down at me when I turned to face him. “I can go back to them?”
He simply nodded to me. “As long as you promise to keep breathing for me.” I was nodding almost instantly to his request.
“Please. Please take me back.”
_____
The whole building grew silent after Gabriel had been gone for well over an hour. Sam sat staring at the back of his brother, waiting for Dean to do something. Dean had gone still moments after the archangel vanished, hoping with all his will that a miracle would happen.
The oldest Winchester had resorted to cleaning up his little sister as best he could, pulling the metal from her body and throwing it far, far away. The bloodied shirt had been tossed out of the way as well, her shirt and jacket now covering the fatal wound on her stomach in a way to make it seem like she was just sleeping. Dean’s fingers trailed softly over her head, pushing hair from her face, and trying to memorize everything he could about the young girl before they gave her a proper hunters funeral.
Castiel had yet to move since his older brother vanished, staying still as if he were carved from stone as he watched over the two Winchester men. He listened to every sound coming near the building for a ten-mile radius, making sure nothing tried sneaking up on the two while their world crumbled around them. He had wished he heard your prayer earlier, gotten back down to Earth faster, maybe then you would still be alive and sitting with your brothers, rather than coated in blood and ghostly pale.
The flap of wings pulled Castiel and Sam from their states of grief, watching a small smile flicker across the archangel’s face. Sam had half a mind to scream at the angel before movement caught his eye.
The blood soaking the floor around the body of the youngest Winchester slowly started to vanish, seemingly seeping back into the wound on her stomach. Then color began to return to her skin, slowly transforming it from a deathly grey back to her natural pigments.
It took a moment longer for Dean to notice the changes, having been so absorbed in caring for the body of his little girl. Once his eyes noticed the changes, his hands backed up from her, almost like she caught on fire. Both Winchester brothers scrambled to their feet, backing away from the girl who was laying so still seconds before.
With one last beat of silence, the wound on her stomach closed fully and her chest heaved with a huge breath of air.
_____
The world came back dramatically. All of a sudden, I could hear the soft drops of water from the ceiling again, feel the coldness of the hard floor below me and smell the horrible damp concrete of the walls to my right. Then my eyes fluttered open, and I could see the ugly ceiling that was decaying from years of abandonment again.
My brain raced as I tried to remember what happened. The hunt, a djinn, the metal rebar, Gabriel pulled me back. I died and Gabriel brought me back. Sam and Dean, they watched me bleed out on the floor of a hunt, watched me die on a hunt they knew I was already nervous for. Dean, he had been with me, he held my hand as the pain vanished and the world fell into silence. He had been with me as I died.
My lungs pulled in one of the deepest breaths I’ve ever taken, causing me to turn and cough loudly as I took the chance to breath more air in. My brain raced as it figured out how to work again, after moments of rest and complete silence it was working to catch back up on what was going on, and the only thing it seemed to think of was…
“Dad.” The word fell from my mouth before I could even process what was going on. Then suddenly I was being hauled up to my knees and crushed into the tightest hug ever given. Everything about the person was familiar, the way the arms wrapped themselves protectively around my shoulders, hand placed to the back of my head. The soft fabric of the green jacket wrapped around shoulders, and the scent of the hunt along with something so specifically Dean. I was wrapped in the arms of my oldest brother, wrapped up and secured in his embrace, protected from anything the world could throw at us.
His chest heaved with sobs, mumbles of my name and ‘kid’ falling from his lips. “I got you; I got you kid. I’m here. You’re ok.” The words fell from his lips in a jumbled mess, falling together in a mess of letters.
“Dean.” My words came out quietly as I hugged him back with everything I had in me. I clutched onto him as my own tears fell, coating my cheeks and making stains on his shirt as I pressed my face to his chest.  Feet scrambled on the floor beside us and before I knew it, Sam was crushing me and Dean in the tightest hug he could manage. “Sammy.” I adjusted one arm to be able to hold onto both my brothers, all three of us a crying mess.
It took the three of us nearly a half hour to calm down enough to stand and face the angels. Sam had stepped a few inches away, wiping his cheeks with the backs of his hands as he turned to speak to Gabriel. “I don’t even know what to say.” His words were barely strung together as he glanced back at me.
While Sam had stepped a few inches back, Dean had yet to let me go. His arm had yet to fall from my shoulders and I was pretty sure he wouldn’t let me go for the next few hours, though I wasn’t going to complain. I had turned into Dean’s side, keeping my arms around his waist and my head leaned into his shoulder, tears still damp on my cheeks.
“Thank you, Gabriel.” I looked at the angel who pulled me back. “I can’t even begin to tell you how thankful I am.” Dean’s arm tightened around my shoulders, pulling me just a bit closer to his side.
“She’s right.” Dean’s voice was deeper than usual after all the crying over the last hours. “Thank you.” Sam agreed with his brother, going over to hug Gabriel tightly.
Cas stepped a bit closer, his hand coming to rest on my cheek. “I’m glad you’re alright. The area around is clear, you’ll be safe heading back to the bunker. We will keep watch over your drive.” And suddenly, the two angels were gone with a soft flap of wings.
“Sammy, can you get the car started and give us a sec?” Dean asked his little brother, holding tighter to me if possible. Sam gave a soft nod, pressed a kiss to my head and went down to wait in the car.
Once he was gone, Dean turned sharply to me. “I’m so glad you’re ok, kid. You can’t ever do that to me again.”
Dean’s hands rested gently on my cheeks, thumbs wiping away the drying tears from my skin. “I never wanted to leave you. I tried so hard to stay with you Dean. I really did.” New tears dripped from my eyes as I looked up at my oldest brother.
“I know you did, kid. I know.” I was pulled back into his chest, his hands rubbing into my back as I cried into his shirt again. “I got you now. I’ll never let that happen again, ok? I won’t ever let anyone put their hands on my little girl again.” My fingers twisted into the back of his shirt as he soothed me, helping me calm down and relax again. “So, can I ask about the dad comment?”
A soft laugh blew through my nose. “Yeah, you can.” I pulled back to look up into the green eyes that always brought me comfort. “John was never really there for me. You know?” He nodded softly at me. “I mean, you took me to my first day of school, you taught me to drive, you were the one who was always there for me.” My voice trailed off towards the end as I watched his face slowly stiffen into an emotion I couldn’t read. “Sorry, I’ve just always seen you that way, I guess it just slipped out today.”
“Kid, I’m not mad, or anything like that.” He gently brushed a few fingers through my hair. “I’ve always seen you as my little girl. I know I was there more than dad was. I know he barely had anything to do with you. There’s nothing I want more than to be your dad, even if you just call me Dean, that doesn’t matter.” He took a deep breath. “I want to be the one you call when you need help or come to when you’re scared. I know you’re not exactly a kid anymore, but just know that I’ll always be there for you. You’re my kid.”
I didn’t even answer, just lunging forward and wrapping him back in a tight hug. “I love you, dad.”
His hands held my head to his chest tightly, a kiss being pressed down into my hair as we held onto each other. “I love you too, kid. Don’t you ever forget that.”

"I know you've been havin' some disagreements with those two idjits. They're yer brothers. It's only natural for them to drive you goddamn insane," Bobby said. "But they are just so doggone afraid of somethin' bad happenin' to ya. Y/N, ya gotta understand—most of the people they have cared about the most are gone. If they were to lose you, I don't know what the hell would happen—but it's possible even those two couldn't bounce back from that."
"I know. But they're stopping me from living my life the way I want to," you said, finally looking up. "I'm not gonna sit on the sidelines while they keep flinging themselves into danger. How is that fair?"
Bobby sighed and nodded pensively. "Yeah. I know. It ain't. I don't have all the answers," he said gently, "but you know you're welcome to stay here as long as you need."
You gave him a tight smile and got up to grab him into a hug that surprised him. "Thanks, Bobby."
Happy Supporting Character Saturday!

Imagine… Stealing Candles For Dean’s Birthday Pie
Tumblr media
Pairing: Dean x Sister!reader (platonic)
Square: Impala @supernatural-jackles
Word Count: 895
Warnings: theft, implied arrest, a little angst, Dean being adorkable, fluff!
A/N: Happy Birthday, Dean! This is just random fluff. Also written for @supernatural-jackles’ Tell Me a Story bingo. Enjoy!
_____
"I don't wanna talk about it, Dean." You mumbled as you joined him in the Impala.
You could feel your big brother's eyes boring into you and you huffed out a breath as you buckled up your seat belt. Getting picked up from the police station for shoplifting and having to call Dean to bail you out was the complete opposite of what you were planning for tonight.
It was supposed to be a surprise and a nice one.
Dean started the engine so the heat blasted in your face and you could hear the lego pieces, that the three of you shoved through the vents when you were younger, rattling in the wind that warmed your cheeks. There was snow falling heavily on the windshield and the thick silence was cut by the wipers sliding over the glass every few seconds. While you just sat there, in the parking lot, until Dean was calm enough to speak.
"Dammit, Y/N," he growled and hit the steering wheel with an open palm, "What the hell were you thinking?!"
You shrugged and sniffled from the brief walk to the car in the cold. The snowflakes in your hair melted and wet the strands so some straggly hairs stuck to your cheeks.
It was Dean’s birthday and Sam was counting on you to get the candles for the pie he was attempting to make in the motel microwave.
You hung your head and gripped the excess jean material on your thighs, the jeans didn’t fit well, they were Dean’s hand-me-downs. You often got his clothes before Sam since girls matured and grew faster than boys. Then your jeans went to Sam when you grew out of them so you couldn’t cut them to length and instead rolled up each leg so that a heavy cuff sat on top of each boot. Snow always got into the top of the cuff this time of year and soaked through the layers, especially when the heat in the car started to melt it. The tips of your fingers grew numb with the longer and tighter you held the fabric between them.
If only your father let you run a credit card scam of your own, except he said there was no point because Dean had one and anything you needed you could ask him for. And you were underage so you'd need a fake ID too and the only one of those you had were school IDs. Nobody would believe you were over eighteen anyways. You just turned thirteen, only a year older than little Sammy, and you looked it.
"It's your birthday," you muttered and side-eyed your brother. "I couldn't afford the stupid candles."
His expression softened, "You could've asked me. That’s what I’m here for.”
You shrugged, "Would've ruined the surprise."
"Y/N, do you really think I had no idea what you and Sam have been planning for the past week? Subtly is not your strong suit, kiddo.” He chuckled.
"I'm sorry." You shrugged and kicked your boots together, trying to knock off the snow that hadn’t melted into your pant cuffs yet.
"It's okay,” Dean said and reached over to tousle up your hair.
You whined and shoved away his arm. Dean laughed at the frown you wore as you fixed your hair.
“Are you gonna tell dad?” You asked, nervously gripping your jeans again and chewing on your bottom lip.
You’d seen the amount of trouble Dean had gotten into with John growing up and you didn’t want any of it. You didn’t have the strength Dean had when it came to standing up to him. Except Dean never talked back, he just took all of his soldier up crap and kept going. You didn’t know how he did it.
He was different when your father was gone, he was lighter and way more fun. He’d joke around and let you get away with almost anything so long as you flashed him a smile. All Dean ever wanted was for you and Sammy to be happy and when you were, so was he.
“Hmmm,” he pretended to think about it as he made you sweat, “Nah, it can be our little secret.” You matched his smirk. “But the next time you kick off your boots in my car, you get last dibs on the shower for a week.”
“Ew, gross!” You scrunched up your face and pouted. Your brothers always made a mess of the motel bathroom with wet towels thrown everywhere, toothpaste and hair in the sink, not to mention the misadventures of aiming at the toilet. How hard was it really?! Not to mention the amount of times you’d fallen in because they couldn’t grasp the concept of putting the seat back down. “But-“
Dean cut you off talking to the Impala and patting the dash, “Sh-sh… It’s okay, Baby, she didn’t mean it.”
“Are you done, dork?” You tried to hide your amusement and raised your eyebrows at him.
He snorted and nodded as he shifted the car into drive, “Mhm.”
“Happy Birthday, Dean.” You said, unbuckling your seat belt and sliding across the bench seat to give him a hug when he stopped at the light. “…You know, I love you. Right?”
“I know,” Dean sighed into your hair and hugged you back even as the light turned green. “Love you, too, kiddo.”

Hey there! 😀 Can I request two sets of headcanons about being Sam and Dean's twin sister?
"i was with you before we were even born"
Being the boy's twin
Tumblr media
Dean
He’s older by like 5 minutes (he never lets you forget it)
You were both really close even as babies. I imagine there was a phase where if your parents separated you both for too long you would cry.
You both get closer after the fire. For the first few months, you would always curl up in the same bed together out of fear of the other one disappearing.
As a teen, you started to question your dad more and more about hunting. You're not as complacent as Dean is to John and his rules. This led to many arguments.
“Why can’t you just do as he says?” “Because Dad’s word isn't god Dean!”
He’d be just as protective over you as he is of Sam.
When Sam left for Stanford you and Dean started to take cases on your own.
You would try and sabotage any hookups he found in bars. You really hated having to go for ‘walks’ during said hookups. He got you back for it.
You both look very alike.
When it was just you and Dean hunting there were multiple times where people would mistake you for a couple of cases.
After your dad died you and Dean didn’t talk for a while. You both argued over why John did what he did and it led to one of your worst fights.
Bobby had to kick sense into you both.
You and Dean don’t fight often but when you do it's bad. When you were younger one time it got so bad that it took Sam yelling and walking out for you both to stop.
When Castiel came around you were unsure but after he saved you on a hunt you began to trust him.
Knowing Dean wasn’t ok after Hell and begging him to talk.
“Dean I know you're not ok.” You frowned and reached out to his arm. “You can talk to me, no one's gonna judge you.”
He did eventually tell you he remembered hell. He begged you not to tell Sam though. (You did tell Sam though)
Finding out about the whole vessel thing and freaking out.
“What do you mean vessels? Why is Heaven and Hell’s fight our issue?”
Since you and Dean were twins you both were classed as Micheal vessels.
You were adamant that Dean wasn’t doing it and he was the same about you.
This again led to another argument.
In the end, there was no way you were letting Sam walk into that fight alone so you ended up saying yes also.
Dean was pissed.
Dean begging for months after that Cas or someone would pull you both out of the cage. (Little did he know someone had)
You randomly appeared on Lisa’s doorstep 6 months later and Dean completely freaked.
After that, he barely let you out of his sight.
You didn’t tell him about Sam also being out (You knew something was wrong with your younger brother and you didn’t wanna worry Dean.)
Eventually reuniting with Sam and feeling so guilty when you found out he had no soul.
Dean insisted that it wasn’t your fault.
He helped you with nightmares from the cage. You found yourself sleeping in the same bed as him again.
Sam
You were older by like 10 minutes. You always teased him about it.
He got you back by teasing you over being short.
Neither of you have any memories of life before the fire so as children you used to both make up stories to help comfort each other.
These stories helped you both pretend that you at least knew your mom and what normal life was like.
You both kinda depended on each other growing up.
While you didn’t verbalise it like Sam, you also didn’t like hunting or the constant moving around.
You were a bit more of a social butterfly than your twin but you still struggled with having to make new friends constantly.
Like your brother, you were also quite smart and did well in school.
For a while, you wanted to be a doctor but knew realistically you had no chance.
As you got older you began to grow a slight resentment towards your dad for forcing you all into this life. One day after a bad hunt you snapped and told your dad how you felt. New’s flash it went really bad.
Your eyes widened as you realised what you had just said. Dean slowly pushed his arm in front of you urging you to move back as your Dad turned to face you. “What did you just say.” Your dad’s voice was hard as he took a step forward. You felt Sam pull you back further as Dean tried to defuse the situation.
After that things were awkward for a while. You went to go stay with Bobby much to Sam’s disdain.
You came back a year later when you were 17.
Things were ok until Sam left for Stanford. You were happy for him but also jealous that he was getting out and you weren't.
During that time you and Dean became close.
Reconnecting with Sam after your dad went missing and helping him when Jess died.
Feeling guilty when your dad died that you spent so much time resenting him (He apologised just before Azael came)
Unlike your brother, Azael didn’t do anything to you so you never had any issues with demon blood.
Convincing Sam that he wasn’t a monster.
When he died the first time you were inconsolable for days.
You and Dean arguing over Deans's deal.
Hating Ruby and knowing she was up to something. Her also causing you and Sam to fall out over his powers.
You and Dean both knew that while Sam was trying to do a good thing she was not.
Helping him with his guilt over Litlth and Lucifer.
Him and you making up after Rubys' death. This actually made you and Sam closer than ever.
Again having to convince him that he is not a bad person when the whole Lucifer and Micheal thing comes to light.
You’re the middleman in the situation. You spent most of your time trying to convince both your brothers not to say yes.
Convincing Dean but not managing to convince your twin.
Before saying yes Sam said that he wanted you to get out and have a normal life.
You were pretty heartbroken but after hanging around Dean and Lisa for a few months you ended up meeting someone  (Lisa set you up but you don’t know that)
You both moved in together and you found yourself actually enjoying this normal life.
Then Sam appeared and you had to choose. Dean told you to stay but you knew you couldn’t leave Sam.
When you found out about Sam having no soul you felt so guilty.
“How didn't I realise sooner?” You sat down on the bed placing your head in your hands. Dean gently rubbed your back with a small sigh. “None of us knew. It’s not your fault.
You ended up kinda living two lives for the next year until Sam got his soul back and you realised living two lives was too dangerous. You broke up with him but you both ended up getting back together a few years later.
Sam was happy that you'd found someone and pushed for you to stay with him. But you knew your place was always gonna be with your brothers.

*not my gif*
Summary: Cas is back to babysit again
A/N: There’s some references to a past work of mine —> Of Cats and Angels; Also, yes paper cuts do hurt that much. No, it’s not dramatic
Please don’t plagiarize my work, you may reblog if you like but I’m asking that you don’t steal my hard work
Tumblr media
“Cassie!” You cheered as soon as the angel landed in the bunker's library, hurrying over and wrapping your arms tightly around his leg in a hug.
“Hello, Y/n.” He greeted, patting the top of your head fondly.
“Thanks again for watching her, Cas.” Dean spoke up, striding into the room as he slung a duffel bag containing all he would need for the upcoming hunt over his shoulder.
“It is no problem.” He answered the eldest Winchester honestly, nodding along as you already began babbling to him about one thing or another.
Dean gave him a smile, clapping him on the back before trailing after Sam, who had walked up the stairs and out into the garage moments ago.
The two of them were going out on a hunt a couple miles away, so they called up their angel friend to babysit you once more. Considering the last time had been a success, save for the newfound kitten that now roamed the halls of the bunker.
“Say ‘hi’ to Sir. Fuzzy- Bottom Mittens, Cassie!” You demanded, presenting the cat up to him as soon as your brother disappeared.
“Hello, Sir. Fuzzy- Bottom Mittens.” He echoed, reaching out a finger and gently scratching the small thing behind its ear.
You grinned up at him, satisfied, and set the cat free on the ground, “What are we gonna do today?” You asked eagerly.
From the look on your face, he could tell you were hoping that today would end with you gaining a new pet again. But he couldn’t let that happen, he doubted your brothers would let it slide again. It was pure luck he got away unscathed after they found out about Sir. Fuzzy- Bottom Mittens last time.
“How about some arts and crafts?” Castiel suggested.
After the last time, he had done some research on what children liked to do, and this was one of the top results he had found.
You squealed, nodding up and down happily before skipping off to go get some art supplies Sam had left in a nearby closet for you and returned with a box filled to the brim with different papers, colored pencils, markers, and crayons.
You happily dumped them on a table and you and Cas set to work, a determined silence falling over the two of you like a blanket.
Working side by side, you each were laser focused on your own projects at hand, Castiel trying to draw a rainbow with the perfect mix of colors, and you working hard to draw a family picture of you and your brothers- featuring Castiel and Sir. Fuzzy- Bottom Mittens, of course.
This went on for hours. Every time one of you finished your drawings, you wouldn’t find it satisfying enough, and would crumble it into a ball, toss it into a nearby wastebasket, and start over. There was definitely something admirable about both of your determination to get your pieces of art just right.
Finally, a wide grin broke out onto your face as you stared down at your paper, “Cassie! Cassie, look! I did it-“ You whipped your paper into your hands all too quickly to try and show the angel your finished product. The material sliced across your finger in such a way that it began to bleed immediately. Paper cut.
Both of you stilled for all of a minute, until the pain stung harsh and fast and tears began to fill your eyes.
You began wailing right away, sticking out your wounded hand as if it was infected, and Cas’s panic quickly filled his silent void.
“Are you alright?” He asked hurriedly, “What can I-“
You just kept bawling though, the sting of the paper cut that dug deep fresh in your pain.
Poor Castiel had no idea what to do. He had never been in this situation before. Sure, he could reach over and easily heal you with a touch, but all logic seemed to fly out of his mind the second you began sobbing.
“Hey! We’re home!” As always, Dean and Sam burst in at just the wrong moment.
The second your cries reached their ears, they flew down the stairs in a blur of movement and panic, very similar to Castiels, not stopping until they were right in front of the two of you.
“What is it?” Dean panted instantly, “What’s wrong?”
With a wobbling lip, you held out your scarred finger to them, and they both let out simultaneous breaths of relief.
“Oh, sweetheart.” Sam cooed, shoulders relaxing as he scooped you up into his arms, letting you burrow your face into the crook of his neck, “It’s okay, you’re alright.”
He lead you off to get a bandaid and Dean whirled around to face Cas as soon as he was out of sight, “What the hell, man?” He demanded.
The angel shrugged helplessly, “Just a moment ago she started crying very loudly and I didn’t know-“
You and Sam entered back in the room, hand in hand, as you wiped your eyes and nose with the back of your sleeve, calming down significantly.
“Are you alright?” Cas immediately asked in concern.
You nodded shyly, focusing your eyes on the ground as you shuffled your feet up and down.
Sam smiled down at you softly, squeezing your hand gently in reassurance, “She’s alright, just got a bit freaked out, that’s all.”
You sniffled slightly, gently letting go of Sam’s hand and walking back over to the table, lifting up your drawing- very carefully this time- to show the three men your hard work.
“Wow, great job, kiddo.” Dean praised instantly, reaching over and ruffling your hair, emitting giggles from you.
Sam grinned, studying the drawing of himself, “The hair is spot on.” He remarked.
“It looks wonderful, Y/n.” Castiel told you honestly.
All four of you were standing in a line in the picture, holding hands and wearing bright smiles, Sir. Fuzzy- Bottom Mittens of course hanging a couple inches above all of you in the air, doing so with the powers you were convinced he had and just never used when you were all around.

Tumblr media
Dating was something that was always particularly hard for you as you’ve been consistently on the road with your father and brothers since you were six months old. The four of you never staying in the same place long enough for you to ever form any kind of connection with anyone. In a way, you thought that it was a good thing considering this line of work, but at the same time, human connection was something that you craved, yearned for. Yes, you had a strong bond with your brothers (Sam more than Dean – twin power you know?), and kind of had a strong bond with your father, but the bonds that you had with the three of them weren’t particularly fulfilling for you. You always felt like there was something missing.
At one point when you were seven or eight, long before you had learned of the supernatural, you had asked your father once when the four of you were in the car if you could stay at Uncle Bobby’s for a while.
“I’m tired of moving around so much daddy. Can I stay at Uncle Bobby’s for a while?” You had told him, asked him; silence filled the impala, despite the music being so loud.
Sam turned to face you before turning to look at your father – you knew that Sam had felt the same way. Dean turned to look at you, craning his neck as he was in the front seat along with your father who was currently driving to the next motel. It would have been the third motel in less than two weeks. Your father looked into the rearview mirror, looking at you as you started playing with your thumbs. “I’m sorry…” You whispered.
When the four of you had gotten to the motel, Dean had practically pulled you to the side while your father and Sam had started bringing things into the motel room. “Why do you want to get away from dad so bad?” He asked, almost as if he was offended.
“I want to stay in one place longer than two days.” You said. “Motels smell funny.”
Dean scoffed. “So does Uncle Bobby’s house.”
That was the last time you had ever asked.
Tumblr media
Even if you had found yourself lucky to pull a date, something or someone would always get in the way. Either a hunt would take precedence, or one of your brothers (usually Dean) would “accidentally” interrupt the date. With either scenario, the guy you had landed the date with would either never call you make again – despite your efforts of trying to make something work or, they would outright tell you to never call them again.
As the years went by, you had simply come to the conclusion that you were destined to never find love, destined to spend the life on the road with your brothers as hunters.
“Come with me.” Sam said to you, a few weeks before he had told you, Dean, and your father that he was going to be leaving to go to Stanford.
“I can’t Sammy. I don’t have a full ride like you do.” You said. “Besides, he’d be too fucking worried if I went.”
“But we’d be together Y/N. It’s not like we’d be by ourselves.” He said. He wanted you to come with him, despite not really interested in the whole college thing; but he knew hunting was something that you had never wanted to do. You wanted that white picket fence life like he wanted.
“I can’t…leave Dean with dad.” You told him. As much as you had wanted to go with him, you couldn’t leave Dean and dad alone, as you were usually the buffer between them. Yes, they rarely got into fights but when they did…it got bad.
Tumblr media
You were fully prepared to do the whole one night stand thing for the rest of your life. At least you would have some kind of human connection, even if it was just for a little while. Hell, it’s been working out just fine for Dean, why wouldn’t it work for you? But that was until you met Ash.
Ash was an interesting person; someone that you thought you wouldn’t have ended up with. Despite knowing him less than a year, he was someone that you could actually imagine spending your life with (no matter how long that life span may be). You had first met him about a few months after the death of your father when your brother Sam was listening to your father’s voicemails.
“He’s always been so secretive.” You told them, upon hearing the sound of a woman’s voice in one of the voicemails – a woman that called herself Ellen.
“Think dad ever had a thing with her and it ended badly? Maybe that’s why he never told us about her.” Sam theorized.
His theory caused your other brother to give a disgusted look. “Gross, now I’m thinking of dad having sex.” Dean said, his voice sounding just as disgusted.
Tumblr media
“You are far too pretty to be with these two.” Was one of the first sentences that Ash had ever uttered to you. A sentence that had made you laugh, but a sentence that offended your eldest brother Dean the most.
The relationship between you and Ash was something that you honestly didn’t expect to happen. Not because he wasn’t your type, but because you had thought that there would be no possible way to maintain a relationship given the fact that you were always on the road.
“You know this isn’t going to work out right?” You had told Ash, the day you and your brothers had gotten back to the Roadhouse after completing the Rakshasa case.
Ash looked at you, trying his best to play it cool as your brothers were only standing within earshot. “That’s the beauty of technology. You’d only be a phone call away.” He said. Him saying this was something that you had never really thought about previously; but it was something that had made perfect sense to you.
“If someone wants to be with you kid, they’ll make the effort.” Bobby told you numerous times growing up. For years, it was a line you thought that he just said in order to make you feel better. But for the first time in your life, you realized that Ash was the only guy in your life (besides your brothers and your father) that had actually wanted to make the effort.
Tumblr media
“You and Ash still going strong uh?” Dean asked, leaning up against Baby.
“Uh, yeah.” You replied. “Still trying to get used to the whole long distance thing.”
“That’s fair.” He said. “At least you guys text and call right?”
“Yeah.” You nodded.
Dean raised an eyebrow. “Do you not want to talk about this? Thought this would be something you’d be all over.”
“Dean, you and Sammy have never been people I’ve spoken to about guys before. Nor have either of you really asked. Why the sudden interest in Ash and me?” Whenever you had crushes on people in the past, you had never once found yourself gunning to tell one of your brothers or your dad. You knew that it would only end badly; especially if you told your father or Dean.
He shrugged. “Can’t your brother just be interested in your relationship for once?”
“Not without ulterior motives he can’t.” You gave him a look, your brother automatically looking offended.
“Me? Have an ulterior motive? Honestly sis, I’m offended.” He scoffed.
“It’s kind of your MO brother.” You said. Dean opened up his mouth as if to say something; to try and get himself out of whatever hole he had dug himself into. But there was nothing that he could possibly say to get out of it. He instead just closed his mouth.
“Look, I’m just happy for you. Truly I am.” He actually sounded sincere. “You know me and Sammy just worry.”
“And you know just as well as I do that I can kick either of your asses.” You said. “I can take care of myself just fine. And Ash…neither of you have anything to worry about honestly.”
Tumblr media
“You know, I’ve been thinking Ash.” You said, sitting on the trunk of Baby while your brothers were inside of the motel room. Being outside was the only source of privacy that you could possibly have when being on the phone.
“What’s up Missus Badass?” He asked, hearing the smile in his voice.
“I was thinking, after we finally kill Yellow Eyes…I’m going to quit hunting.” You said. “How would Ellen and Jo feel about me working at the Roadhouse?” Your tone half joking and half serious. Ash was silent for a moment, more quiet than he normally was whenever he was on the phone. “Ash? I didn’t lose you did I?”
“No…No…” He began. “They’d love to have you.”
“Yeah?” You asked. “You know, I am very familiar with the workings of a bar.”
“If I didn’t know you so well, I would be concerned by that statement. But, since you are a Winchester, I ain’t the least bit surprised.” He said.
“Yeah. I’ve been hustling pool, and playing poker before I reached puberty.” You laughed a little. “As Sammy would say, the way we were raised was jacked.” You paused. “But hey, at least I met you.”
“Your mullet knight in flannel armor.” He said serious.
“Oh, I like the sound of that.” You smiled. The motel door opened, your brothers coming out. “I gotta go but…I love you.” You whispered the I love you. Hoping that it was just loud enough for Ash to hear, but low enough for your brothers not to.
Your I love you had caught him slightly off guard, but it was something that he enjoyed hearing you say. “I love you too.” He responded back. You were happy that he said it back, afraid that you might of said it too soon. For the first time in a long time, you had felt like you might actually get that happy ending you have always wanted: a life away from hunting.
