“As handsome as you are in red,” BLU Spy says, knife to Spy’s chest, “it makes it difficult to see when you bleed.”

Bleu trails the point of the blade down, delicately enough that Spy can feel the pop of his own skin breaking. Spy hides his flinch by curling his lip. 

“Do you often keep a dull knife?” he asks. “I can feel it.”

“For you, I keep a dull knife on purpose,” Bleu replies without looking up. He watches as the wet shine of fresh blood forms over Spy’s naked chest. “Ah. There it is. A color as good as your suit.”

He doesn’t touch, which might drive Spy into insanity. Instead, Bleu runs the flat of his knife across Spy’s skin to spread the blood around, as artful as a painter with a brush. After pushing Spy’s dress shirt open, the point digs again at the left side of his chest, and this time Spy can’t stop his sharp intake of breath while Bleu carves out another well of a blood to trail down.

“Careful. You might sound jealous,” Spy says, leaning closer, daring for more.

He senses weakness the moment Bleu’s knife gives against his weight, the pressure easing as Bleu subtly retracts the blade by a microscopic fraction. A sharper knife would’ve cut. A more earnest hand would’ve pushed it in to compensate. 

Spy flicks out his own balisong and grabs Bleu’s wrist to keep in place while he knicks the artery across Bleu’s right arm.

Bleu’s expression goes wry, even as his own knife point slips. The bones in his wrist shift as Spy’s grip tightens. A second later, Bleu’s knife drops to the ground, and Spy throws them both down on the grimy floor. 

He uses his own tie to tourniquet the bleed around Bleu’s arm. Bleu lets out a pained laugh when he realizes what Spy wants. They might as well make the fun last longer.

Spy straddles over his counterpart, holding Bleu’s arm up to wait for the blood to start oozing out in rapid, rhythmic bursts. Bleu still has his suit on, the fabric darkening with each pulse. Spy puts his mouth to Bleu’s wrist and turns into the palm so that he can taste the iron tang. 

Bleu’s cold fingers spasm against his cheek, with just enough control to suggest a fleeting fondness from the fingertips.

“I could be jealous,” Bleu admits. There's a smirk, barely visible.

Spy smiles, holding his arm in such a way that the blood drips further into Bleu’s stained suit.

“If I make you bleed enough,” he murmurs, “you look like you could be wearing red yourself.”
